I don’t like heartstopper that much and I’m honestly so happy that I don’t.
It’s cuz for the longest time whenever I saw a lick of representation in media I would immediately inhale that shit and defend it to the DEATH because that’s all that there was. Who cares if I don’t like the story or the characters? They’re gay and they’re all I have.
But now I have other options, I can go “oh I don’t like heartstopper but I do love wwdits or good omens or ofmd”. There are now queers in different genres and I don’t HAVE to like something just cuz it’s queer and my god am I so happy about that.
