We are ALL important and we ALL have the ability to create what starts as only something we are free to see in our minds. It is us who determine whether we will allow ourselves this right or not. . When I was a little girl I dreamed of being a writer. I wanted to write books. I can remember stories, like, ‘Becky and The Three Bears’ and ‘Kelsey, Jasmine, and Abu’ and like chapter books I wrote, like ‘Thumper and Thumper’ 🐰🐶 The first and this last mentioned both bringing me to Young Authors ✍️ . But my parents advised me that this wasn’t a dependable career and guided me to focus on something else… . And while other opportunities were excellent, not I needed to find what I aligned with and even, in a way, create that alignment being that it wasn’t something I’d been, initially, drawn to. . I never left writing, though. Through journals and little posts like these. I speak like I write sometimes letting my imagination get the best of me and I love writing letters back and forth ✍️ . Then in January, on New Years 2021 I made the resolution to “BE BOLD” in both my decisions and in the opportunities that came to me and it was like the Universe heard me. Suddenly, it was like opportunities everywhere! 🤩 Like now I was being asked, “Really? Will you be bold like you say?” 🤔 And I was reminded of a lesson I’ll never forget. THINKING IS INSTANTANEOUS! If I told you to think of your mother or your kids or your car or even your feet do you really have to think of thinking about either of those things?? We already know what we want, the time we add to our decisions is only time to create unnecessary excuses 💯 But do you want to stay stuck in the box??? 🙅‍♀️🙅‍♀️🙅‍♀️🙅‍♀️ . I became Freelance Writer later that year & then now you would not believe who noticed me BECAUSE WE NEVER KNOW WHO IS WATCHING THE AMAZING THINGS WE DO 💯🫣 There are people out there paying attention & people out there using us as their guide to make it to tomorrow. Way back, early in my use of Instagram, I would post tree photo on Tuesdays with the tag #TreeTuesday. Now, I did not come up with this idea or this tag, it was just something I saw and thought it was fun to join in. Well, I am jumping back in. You see this past weekend a big multi-influencer fundraiser started on YouTube under the hashtag #TeamTrees. It’s a massive collective effort to raise money to plant trees, one dollar = one tree, with the goal being 20 million dollars/20 million trees by Jan 1, 2020. (Tree) For me, this (plantings trees) seems like an awesome use of social media. AND it also brings up a point I often discuss, How ONE PERSON CAN MAKE A DIFFERENCE! So often we feel overwhelmed by things like climate change, wildlife trafficking, poaching and so on. This whole Team Trees thing came about because one person had an idea and other individuals joined in and now its a world wide fundraiser to get these tress in the ground. Similar to sharks, orcas play an important role in keeping the ocean and animal populations healthy & in balance. Sadly, the 74 remaining southern resident orcas in the Salish Sea are currently starving to death due to their prey, the chinook salmon, also being at an extremely low population number. There are 4 dams in the Snake River that are preventing the salmon from repopulating and thriving as they typically would.
