a diagnosis is not another bullet point on the list of things wrong with us. &a diagnosis is not a life sentence of badness or something to be ashamed of. a diagnosis is the first step towards a better life, a life that we deserve. it gives light to why we struggle with the things that we do.  a diagnosis is hope, hope for the future, a future worth looking forward to.

1 in 4 people will have a mental health diagnosis at one point in their life. It can be scary to have a diagnosis but it is not WHO you are. Just like someone who has diabetes they are NOT diabetes. It is a condition that encompasses biological, situational, environmental, developmental, trauma related elements many things that may be outside our control at times. Unpack the shame of this. As a healer it can be painful to hear and feel the hurt/trauma/pain my clients express with each diagnosis/cluster symptom label/illness characteristic they have taken on as their identity! We are all adapting to the world around us and doing the best we can! Everyone/everything which walks this earth has strengths and weaknesses they must address/work on/tune up! No one is immune to life’s hardships, challenges and the hoops put before us to make an impact and or ever just to survive!
