the fact that Edwin lived in the early 1900s is a fantastic source of comedic potential. he's just constantly saying things that he doesn't realise are completely batshit insane, and the others are just left utterly floored.
like they're all talking and Crystal mentions she's tried cocaine once on a wild night out, and Edwin, who used to get that shit medically prescribed at the drop of a hat is like ??? okay?? hope you felt better, it always used to help me when I had a cold too :) Charles why are you laughing?

Alex really said: In my first season of Dimension 20, I played the tiniest little boy who was the physical embodiment of a man’s conscience. What would be a good character to choose for my second season? Ah yes. An absolute unit of a mob boss. The logical next step.

the problem with knowing things about battle tactics is that an ever-increasing subset of popular media becomes impossible to enjoy properly because you have to sit there like 'wow Captain Protagonist good to know all those dead people on your own side are a direct result of your total lack of anything resembling brains'

Love how Qimir is the opposite of normal every single time he meets or re-meets Osha.
Exhibit A: meeting in the apothecary. Biting lip. Getting in personal space. Literally so fucking horny he blows his own cover.
Exhibit B: “Oshhhhaaaaa.” Kills two of her only other potential romantic interests. “This is your master?” Tries to sound cool and immediately gets negged by giant moths, -10000 aura.
Exhibit C: “what extraordinary beings we are” me when I monologue to myself. Covers her in his cloak and just, like, stares.
And finally, Exhibit D: sluts himself out for the greater good (evil) “haha no don’t pin me against the wall haha I won’t be able to move.” Thumb caress.

It irritates me alot when people say that making medic more compassionate is ''missing the point of his character'' when he is literally shown to be in the comics.... did you miss the part where he showed concern for both sniper and miss pauling's well being in comic 5 and 6.
His actions are a combination of genuine attachment + clinical interest and these things do not cancel out one another. He is always pushing boundaries and going against the grain and i think this is what led to him losing his license in the first place. He felt stifled by the rules imposed on him.
He is shown to be extremely passionate so it makes sense that he would use his endless fascination with medicine as a way to show his affection. He loves his friends so he will find a way to make them borderline indestructible. Malpractice is his love language.

we need to abolish the idea that ancient greek myths and legend have a coherent timeline. they do not. for any given myth there are like 10 heroes mentioned that feasibly could not have been adults or even alive. herakles keeps showing up in places where he should probably be dead. anyone could be a suitor of helen. even herakles. even theseus if you count that kidnapping stint he did. nestor is alive for 10 billion years. time is fake and anything beyond vague generational outlines is conjecture

"it's just because of who's willing to answer the poll/who gets to see it" there has been about 7-8 polls atp asking the race question. And every time, it skews 70-75% white.
There's no "well it didn't reach the pee oh cees" it reached us lmao. These often get into the tens of thousands. We saw it! There's just not that many of us here! I'm not sure why it's so hard to admit for some folks that this website skews white. Yes, odds are, you don't know nearly as many people of color (or their beliefs) as you think. Yes, you likely have racist biases that are going unaddressed due to the lack of people of color in your life. And yes, being on Tumblr does not automatically make you more progressive on these topics- not if you're only ever listening to other white people, which is likely due to the cultural whiteness of this app. This has been my TEDtalk 👍🏾
