Hey actually, why did The Grove have Carol execute a schizophrenic child and frame it as the only thing she could've done? We've got a bunch of people now saying she was right to kill a mentally ill 12 year old when she didn't know how to handle her.
#the episode made me sad and uncomfortable but looking back it was... super ableist no?#Carol and Tyreese also just did a garbage job looking after those girls#yeah sure guys leave two small children alone with a baby in the middle of the zombie infested woods#right after one of them had a meltdown about wanting to be friends with said zombies#and they have knives.#stupid.#twd#ableism#I found Lizzie stressful and annoying. I'm not the parental type. But I would've taken away her weapons and fucking *tried* at least CAROL.#you promised her dying father to look after her as your own CAROL.#she's not that dangerous just don't leave her unnatended with smaller children and weapons CAROL.#you're all trained assassins at this point you're not going to be killed by someone who's 4'5'' and built like a blade of grass

Hunted
Summary: Hydra hosts a training exercise for their super soldiers. You can run, but you can't hide from the Winter Soldier.
Pairing: Dark Winter Soldier x F. Reader
Warnings: Smut. 18+ Only. Minors DNI. This is a dark fic. Non con. Death.
See my Masterlist Here
You ran as hard as your feet would carry you. You were terrified, shaking so hard you were surprised that you could even move. Footsteps approached quickly, your breath hitches as you make a decision. You could run, but the super soldier could easily catch up to you. Or you could stay where you are and pray that you are hidden well enough that he won't find you.
Last month, Hydra caught your uncle's company trying to take them down. They killed all the men that worked there and captured all the women. They brought you all to cells under their headquarters. They fed you three meals a day, stating you all would need your strength for what they had planned.
This morning, you learned what they had meant. You were all brought out to the edge of the woods. The man in charge told you that they were training their super soldiers today. They would be practicing their hunting skills. A large van pulled up, and out came ten super soldiers. You looked around, counting the women who were with you. There were twenty-three of you. A second van halted to a stop beside the other. Two large men drug out another.
He was chained up, arms behind his back, black mask almost like a muzzle covered his mouth. His dark, shoulder length hair was messy, piercing blue eyes locking on you. You felt like you were going to faint. The Winter Soldier was the most brutal of all the super soldiers. A skilled assassin, he was sent on Hydra's most important missions. He did all their dirty work.
The Hydra leader who brought you outside explained the rules to the prisoners and soldiers. They were going to give you all an hour head start. Your job was to hide from the men. If they found you, they could do whatever they wanted with you as a reward. Bile rose in your throat, turning the contents of your stomach sour. Some of you wouldn't come out of this alive. But if you were fortunate enough to make it until sunrise, you would be free.
The footsteps grow closer, you close your eyes hoping he won't notice the footprints you had left in the mud. Then you see him, the man was tall, blonde hair shaved off. He walked toward the bushes you were hiding in. Your hand flies to your mouth to hide your cries. To your dismay, one escapes anyway. The soldier's head whips toward the noise, across the way from you.
You realize it wasn't you who cried too loudly. The soldier smiles wickedly, reaching for the poor woman who just gave up her hiding spot. He flings her out of the bushes onto the hard ground. More tears fall when you notice that it's Claire, the secretary from your uncle's failed company.
The soldier begins pawing at her as she tries to fight him off. It's no use. He holds her down with one knee on her torso, as he strips off his clothes. "You're my second one today." He brags. "Let's see if you're luckier than the last one. I choked her too hard." His evil laugh echoes through the quiet forest. When he rips Claire's clothing from her shaking body, you take the opportunity to run.
He looks up when he hears you leaving your shelter. "I'll catch up to you next!" He yells after you. The sun has started setting, you take a precious minute to catch your breath. You know if you stop for too long, you'll lose your momentum, or someone could catch up to you. You hear the screams and cries of your fellow prisoners as you make your way further into the woods. You search for a new place to hide, since it would be dark soon.
They could have at least equipped you with flashlights, you think to yourself. That was the whole point of all of this, wasn't it? You weren't meant to survive. Hydra expected the super soldiers to kill most of you. The women who survived would be brought back to the prison, probably made to work for them now that their spirits had been broken.
It was almost too dark to continue, so you took shelter in a cluster of bushes, shrinking yourself as small as you could underneath it. Night fell, and you laid on the cold ground, the horrendous sounds of the others getting caught filled the air. Finally, you rested your eyes. You needed the rest if you were going to make until the morning.
You woke up, sensing someone was nearby. You silently prayed that it was just another prisoner and not a threat. You release the shaky breath you were holding when they leave the area. The dark sky turns reddish - pink and you sigh with relief. It shouldn't be long now. Sunrise was so close you could almost taste your freedom.
You close your eyes, hoping that when you opened them the next time, this torture would be over. Your few moments of peace were interrupted when the blonde super soldier from earlier reached down into the bushes, pulling you up by your hair. Your scream rips through the woods, the soldier slings you back onto the ground, kicking you. "Shut up, bitch. I told you I was coming for you. You're my sixth, and from the looks of it, my last." He gestures to the sky.
He rips your shirt from your body. You try to cover yourself, but he moves your hands away. A metal hand wraps around the soldier's neck, a sickening crunch filling your ears as The Winter Soldier snaps it with ease. The soldier slumps over, his lifeless body landing with a thud.
"Mine." The Winter Soldier states, blue eyes locked on your exposed bra. A cold metal finger slips under the bra between your breasts, tearing it from your body with no effort. "No please! I almost made it. Please don't do this!" You cry, pleading with him. His hands find your breasts, squeezing roughly. His eyes land on your peaked nipples, taking them between his fingers.
He twists and pulls too roughly. When he's finished his assault on them, he reaches for his face, removing the black mask from his mouth. He's beautiful, you think for a split second. His blue eyes and pouty, full lips seemed like they didn't belong on the same man who was trained to kill. "Like what you see?" He smirks, when he notices you staring at his face. He pushes your breasts together, face lowering toward them. He runs his tongue from one pointed nipple to the other. Chapped lips taking one between them, sucking harshly.
He bites down, pulling your nipple with his teeth. You cry out, hands on his face trying to push him away. He chuckles, as you fight him, biting down your torso to your pants. He pulls them down along with your panties, discarding them immediately. One thick finger runs through your folds, disappointment evident as it comes out dry. "You're not even wet for me? We can't have that. I won't fit if you're not ready."
You shiver at his words. You didn't want to know how big he was. You had studied the super soldier serum enough at your old job to know that the serum enhanced everything. He brings his mouth down against your core, lips brushing your clit. He swirls his tongue around it, metal arm hooking under your legs to bring you closer. His full lips tug on your clit, you can't help but moan for him.
"That's it, good girl. If you're good for me, I'll convince them to let me keep you." You spit at him, kicking your legs, to push him away. "Why would I want that?" He smiles, because Hydra's gonna kill anyone left in these woods when this is over." You gasp, you should have known. "You didn't really think they would just let you go? You know too much. They will let me keep you as my little plaything though. All I have to do is say the word."
You didn't doubt him for a second. “Stop fighting." He commands, lowering his face again. His nose brushes your clit while he works his tongue inside you. You try to fight back, but he misinterprets your movements. He thinks you're enjoying it now. "That's it." The Winter Soldier suckles your swollen clit, hot tongue lapping up every drop of arousal. You bite your lips so hard; it bleeds trying to keep a moan in.
He grabs your chin, jerking your face towards him. "Do not hold back from me, kitten." His warm tongue drags over you slowly before his plump lips suction around your clit. Your thighs close against his ears as he draws a forceful orgasm out of you, legs trembling as you flood his face. Your moan rips through your throat, earning a satisfied smile from the soldier.
He spreads your legs with one hand, his other freeing his hard cock. You were right about the size of it. You were so fortunate that he got you wet first. You'd be lucky if he didn't split you in half. He plunges inside you, you squirm from the painful way he entered you. "Hold still." He says, holding your stomach down. "I can't, it hurts too much." You whine. The Winter Soldier rolls his eyes, lifting you like a rag doll.
He sits on the ground, lowering you onto him. This position was worse for you. He hit even deeper than before. But he could hold you better this way. His metal arm snakes around your waist, holding you close. He bounces you on his cock, your arms wrap around his neck. His fingers dig into your hips as you get used to it and start to grind on him.
Your clit brushes his dark curls as you ride him. "I knew you would be worth it." He grunts. "I wanted you the moment I saw you this morning. I found you immediately. You're not great at hiding, you know. But I waited. I knew it would be better if I let you think you could escape." He chuckles, "You should have seen those other broads, they would piss themselves when they saw me. But I only wanted you, so I left them for the others."
His dark pants rub against your thighs as he fucks into you. You roll your hips, trying to get this over with as quickly as possible. "You feel incredible." He moans into the crook of your neck. You scratch at his leather clad back, as the Winter Soldier's mouth latches onto the exposed skin of your neck. He sucks harshly, making sure it will leave a mark. You clench around him as he cums inside you.
His metal hand reaches between you, icy digits colliding with your heat. His thumb circles your clit, causing you to unravel. You shake in his arms, too exhausted to move as he pulls you off him. He takes his shirt off, handing it to you. "Put this on. I don't want anyone looking at my little doll." You take it, looking up at the sun coming up in the distance.

Limbus Company Sinners ranked by how strong they were before the game started
Vergilius just walked into the orphan store and said "Give me your saddest little German boy." Sure, he's got that dog in him, but right now it's more like a kicked puppy.
A pencil-necked geek who has never thrown a punch in his life. Last seen jumping through a plate glass window in his backstory. How much enhancement did he have to get before he was even passable in combat?
Someone who has lived in luxury and ease his entire life. Still, he must've had a lot of time to practice with his guandao, and dude was in killer shape. Also, lest we forget, he is a rock. That's gotta count for something.
Pretty much the same deal as Yi Sang, but being connected to the Faust Group Chat gives her a lot of other options. She's the living embodiment of "I calculated the timing on all your attacks but my reflexes suck so you're gonna hit me anyway."
If we're measuring purely physical strength she'd probably be much higher, as it's implied she's almost freakishly strong (like when she manhandled Ishmael). But her lazy nature makes her a less effective fighter. Still, we've got to the first one with a confirmed pre-game kill count.
She's fought The Horrors and lived to make it everyone else's problem. One of the quickest to violence but not always the most effective at it. She's got grit, but she's still in the bottom half.
Can dish it out and take it. No formal training, but a lifetime of hard-won experience. Every inch of his skin tells a tale of violence. That said, his fighting style is still just that of a thug.
Points in his favor: Cockroach mutant, a battle-tested soldier
Points to his detriment: Doesn't like his powers, I know from firsthand experience how quickly you go to seed once you leave the service.
I wanted to put him higher to rep for us enlisted, but he was way too rusty.
Still wearing her uniform in her mugshot. She was likely arrested shortly after the...incident with the suitors, so she went straight from war to a hell voyage to a murder spree. That said, she's more known for her leadership and cunning than her actual personal battle prowess.
Speaking of coming straight from violence, jeeeezus couldn't they at least hose her off first? She's wearing a Shi Association uniform, so we know she was a professional assassin beforehand. Then, if she's like her inspiration, she was also basically a serial killer. Definitely earned her place in the top three.
Meursault.
Look, I'm as surprised as you are.

hiii, i've been eating up all your works omg you are so talented! if you're comfortable with it, could you maybe try for headcanons with killua and a fem! civilian s/o? she's not strong or anything, but do you think she would catch his eye with her kindness or something?? bonus points if the zoldyck family knows about her and their opinion on her! take your time with it and ignore it if it makes you uncomfy in any way <3 mwah!
₊ ☆ ‧₊˚ → killua x civilian s/o headcanons!
cw: none that i’m aware of
note: omg you’re so sweet ☹️☹️!!! i’m so glad to know ppl are enjoying my works ahhh it makes me so unbelievably happy (๑>◡<๑)! anyway, i had lots of fun with this request, i hope you enjoy!!
- i was thinking of some possible ways that killua could’ve met you and here are the ones i think are most likely to happen
- 1. you could be a relative to someone like gon, bisky, etc
- 2. gon and you became friends and he introduced you to killua
- but ANYWAYS for the sake of convenience let’s go with the latter
- he was a bit distant when meeting you and didn't really bother to get to know you
- it was nothing bad he just didn't find interest in you
- that was until after spending some time together. while getting to know the boy and you first started becoming close, he was wary of telling you about his past as an (now ex) assassin in fear of scaring you away, but when he talks about it you reassure him that you don’t mind it kinda makes his feelings toward you grow in a way
- which eventually led to you both dating!
- anyway
- imagine him talking to you about his training and you have absolutely no idea what he’s talking about
- “oh yeah me and gon practiced our ren today- “killua, what. 🙁”
- on the topic, sometimes you watch him train
- compliment his special ability out of nowhere and he’s a blushing mess, scratching his cheek in a flush.
- you also fix him up if he ever gets hurt after a fight and/or training
- sometimes (when it’s safe for you to do so) you tag along the adventures the two bestfriends go on, killua always keeping a watchful eye on you just so he’s sure you’re safe.
- if you somehow do end up getting hurt he’s so worried and scolds you while treating any and every wound you have
- for the time he has to go away for something he constantly calls/texts you to check up on you and it’s one of his top priorities to visit you as soon as possible when he’s done
- as for what the rest of the zoldycks think about you…
- killua avoids getting you involved with his family and would only introduce you alluka (aka basically the least threatening member of the family) for your safety
- if his family were to somehow find out about you (cough cough illumi snitching)
- silva wouldn’t approve of you and would lose interest when he hears you’re just a regular person since he wants killua to be with someone to help produce heirs for the family (bro still really thinks killua is going to be the next head of the zoldycks), but i feel like he would try to manipulate/bribe you into bringing killua home then gets pissed when it doesn’t work 😭😭
- kikyo borderline loathes you. she would have a list of requirements you would need to meet for her to see you as fit for killua so she hates you for not meeting her standards. she would tell him to break up with you or to kill you
- illumi also thinks you’re not fit for killua and you quickly gain your name being put in his list of targets which quite obviously does not sit well with killua at all
- milluki doesn’t really care but he’s kind of upset about it, he doesn’t think you’re good for killua and would think he’s stupid for dating you
- kalluto wouldn’t really have an opinion on it, he would think it’s a little idiotic of killua but it’s whatever to him
- alluka adores you! you’re by far her favorite person (along with killua of course)

Bones Bones Bonesss wc Star full book spoilers already out in the wild (forums)......... Looking forward to your thoughts when it officially comes out (or whenever!) cause. I will not say. But ohhhhhh it sure was a book............ :33
You know I'll also be doing a full read when I get my grubby paws on a copy, but I do have some strong feelings assuming that the leaks are totally accurate!
The no-spoiler version of my opinion; BOY this ending is a stinker. This arc truly was a blundering mess of lost potential and wasted time. As someone who still feels the first few books were STRONG setups, from 3 onwards I feel like I've been watching a train run out of track and derail in a slow, pitiful fashion.
It's not even a FAST trainwreck. The ending was predictable insofar as they clearly had no good climax or message in mind. Infact it's kind of a marvel how utterly bloodless this arc was, and how any violence they DID show came out of left field because they failed to build up to it.
HOWEVER. I am not just a reader, I'm a scavenger. This stuff is GREAT for BB. The ending gave me the most important pieces I need, and now I know how BB!ASC is going to rework it.
But I'll not get ahead of myself; quickly, I'll just talk raw first impressions of the spoilers.
(As always, take this with a grain of salt and the knowledge that the spoilers may be incorrect. Opinions may change once I read the book myself.)
Splashstar is a garbage villain. He is absolutely bottom-tier for me.
His "amorality" comes out of nowhere and quite frankly he reads like a Chick Tract Evil Atheist.
I don't get how people can accept the way the characters call him "manipulative" when his plots are utterly brainless.
He is the type of naunceless evil that makes me want to hurl. Splash reads like a writer trying to "repeat" the evil of Tigerstar without any of the intelligence of early TPB.
Tigerstar was a RESPECTED warrior. He leveraged his standing in the Clan to secretly carry out his assassinations and forge alliances. He was established strong to begin with.
Splash is like cat-18 and able to kill-no-miss strong warriors with his Evil Jump, and then keeps the Clan in line by holding his siblings hostage.
It makes me not understand how he has ANY followers, because he has no consistent ideology or rhetoric.
Anything they did use (like claiming he'd make the Clans strong and saying tigerheartstar wanted to take over the whole forest or whatever) isn't consistent because they failed to establish these over the SIX BOOKS THEY HAD.
It feels like he was only a legitimate threat for like 2 out of 6 books
And then he's dead in chapter 13. Halfway through the story. Incredibly lame.
I want to reserve my judgement on the Frostpaw vs Splashstar battle, but it's absurd on its face. Harelight went down in 1 hit but Frostpaw musters all her strength to use his move and overcome him?
I have to see it first before I conclude if it's something I want to salvage though. Sometimes fights just come across better when you're reading them.
But on the note of battles, it's frustrating how bloodless this arc was. We started off with tigerHeartstar invading and occupying RiverClan-- yet we're looking at a total body count of 5, with one heart attack and one illness.
And speaking of deaths.
Whoever decided to give Berryheart a redemption death should get offscreen greencough.
UTTER shite. You have this whole arc with radicalization as a major theme, show Berryheart trying to brutally murder her in-law with a snake, grabbing at power desperately to the point where she CHANGED CLANS to be Splash's deputy, and decide that her ideal ending is "she would die for her baby :(((("???
Ffffuuuuuck yoouuuuuuuuuuuu
This is why we can't have good, nuanced villains, these writers trip over themselves the MINUTE they have a sad parent. It could never actually STAY about power or politics, they cant allow a parent to truly be willing to sacrifice their child for their own ends.
No matter how badly or violently they treated you, They're Still Your Parent. Hogwash. I'm sick to death of this thought-terminating cliche.
Being a parent does NOT automatically mean they'd die for you. They already did this earlier with Curlfeather, and the absolute insult it is to the theme of radicalization aside, having Berryheart repeat that sacrifical death cheapens hers.
Now it's not that CURLFEATHER is the one who would never go so far as to allow her daughter to die for her own ends, contrasting Berryheart. It's Just What Moms Do.
And furthermore if they were going to do a "redemption death," it REALLY sucks that they decided to have Berryheart refuse to kill Yarrowleaf and not FRINGEWHISKER.
It's not even indicative of GROWTH or RECONSIDERING HER BELIEFS or anything. She won't kill her SISTER.
It might have meant something to have a chance for revenge and refuse it, but nooooo. Yarrowleaf. My god. Yarrowleaf.
and don't @ me about Yarrow being ex-kin, they both joined and rejected it at different times.
All that said...
There are some things I like here!
Frostdawn and Whistlebreeze getting their names at the same time was really sweet. I like them a lot.
Sometimes a predictable choice is the right one. Icewing becoming leader is a good move. Icestar my beloved.
I'm personally excited to get to Icey's leadership ceremony in my own rewrite, the canon one was as fanservice-wanky as you'd expect of modern arcs but I LOVE rewriting those.
Though I would have preferred Froststar, I'm ok with this.
The fracturing of RiverClan is a great move. I love the idea of there being a mass exodus following these events. It's wild we haven't gotten that before.
While I bemoan the awful politics and lack of setup, I do LIKE the idea on paper of there being "ex-Splash Supporters" to cause problems in future arcs. Not that these writers know what setup and payoff is, but hey, more for me.
I liked the sort of desperate feel of Frostpaw being exhausted in StarClan and deciding if she wants to go back or not. Im a little iffy on how much other cats PRESSURE her, though.
I need to read the chapters myself but I fear that it might not read like her own choice, but another thing that she's being forced into.
Shut UP Tree why are you HEREEE
The part where they all point out that without her, RiverClan wont have a holy messenger and that's bad, fits the consistent way the writers try to portray StarClan as a good thing when they're really not... but.
I think it would have made a fascinating moment for Frosty to realize that SHE is the one who really holds the power in this situation. What spirituality is going to look like in the future of her Clan is in HER paws now.
They are absolutely going to toss this potential away, but I guess the things I like most about the ending are the ways it kinda softly threatens the status quo.
The fracture of RC and the exodus of cats, Frostpaw deciding she will return and fix RiverClan, Icestar accepting help from the other Clans to fix the camp...
It's not ALL bad, it's just that the negatives outweigh the positives and this is exactly the kind of ending I feared. I hope that this isn't just a tease of a change to the status quo, but I've learned to not get my hopes up.
And, lastly, Owlnose deputy and Nightheart's ending chapter are just straight up beyond parody. I can't even be mad, they're such bad moves they're funny to me at this point.

Holy Hell! Don’t leave us on a cliffhanger please?!
How did the 141 boys react when they got the call that she had been shot? How did they catch the guy who did it? And what are they going to do to him? 😈
continued from here
disclaimer: because they are what they are (highly trained assassins 🫣), heavy mentions of stabbings and beatings, proceed with caution lmfao ‼️ rushed/ooc
"we can go all night, when you give out from exhaustion and pain. when you're begging us to kill you, when you're cryin to end your life, we're gonna be here" pulling off the bag from his face, ghost examined his features. the man winced and grimaced, gasping a little as the light flooded his vision and finally looking at his captor. standing tall at 6'4, bigger than most men ghost was certainly not someone to be trifled with. his brown eyes hardened behind his skull balaclava, twirled a knife expertly between his fingers
ghost had no sympathy for the person in front of him, he had been hunting you down for days and very nearly coming close in succeeding in his given task. all he could remember is what soap had said,"one centimeter over and it would've torn right through her heart" and it only served to further anger him when he knew you didn't have any bad intentions at all, you weren't there to hurt anyone. you only thought it was an innocent date and you have paid the price for it at a grave cost. the thought of losing you tonight only fuelled his anger, his jaw clenched tightly as his eyes remained on the man
rules were rules, threatening the 141 was punishable by death. and simon had never been so glad for it
"listen i'm sorry man, i didn't know" the man tried to justify to which ghost scoffed, cold brown eyes glancing at the sharp array of weapons on the table opposite.
"choose a better excuse, that one is overused" his chest vibrates with dark chuckles and it causes the tension in the air to suffocate, this wasn't an amused laugh. this had brought on fear and pain and ghost hadn't even inflicted anything yet. still the man's determined attitude hadn't wavered, much to simon's displeasure.
"fuck you" the man hissed and then cried out in pain when a whip slapped his abdomen, undoubtedly leaving a trail of blood in its wake. his head was yanked back as ghost grabbed a fistful of hair, his face in close proximity of the other
"listen close you bastard, i've dealt with my fair share of bloody narcissists. but you hurt y/n, you shot her. so take your bloody time i'll get what i want from you, one way or another" ghost snarled, the tip of his sharpened knife trailing down her neck circling around the man's abdomen. he screamed when the knife was twisted into the first layer of skin, gaping down to where the blood was beginning to pool on his lap.
"now all you gotta do is give me a name. and this stops right here. but if not..." ghost pushed the knife a little more deeper into the body, grinning under his mask when the man whimpered trying so hard to not scream. to try keep his composture not wanting to bring any satisfaction to the enemy
but hell, it was hanging by a small thread at this point.
"any progress?" a deeper, gravelly voice cuts in and both heads look towards the door. the man lets a small gasp as the rest of the team pile into the room. it was as if they commanded respect, demanded to be listened to. their muscles straining against their shirt, scars littering their bodies proof of the business they were, of the lives they led
"he's stubborn" ghost stops, wiping the few drops of blood from his mask. he was getting rather irritated, wanting to be at the hospital with you but forced to take care of this problem.
"he's looking worse for the wear" soap chuckled but there was no humour in his voice. all he could think about was how fragile you looked after being shot and it made him want to tear into the man but gaz and ghost would hold him back, they already were eyeing him carefully. still it was rather amusing how many people tried to kill them and yet they always seemed to be on the receiving end of the blade.
"why not kill 'im, the poor bastard" soap scoffed with sarcasm, looking at the man with pure anger, his fists clenching as he sized the man up. desperately wanting to be the one to plunge the knife so deep into his heart and watch the life fade away from his eyes. just as he had done with you
"as convenient as that sounds, we'll never end up getting our information if he's dead" gaz leans back on the table, looking at the purple and blue blotches on the man's skin. the way his hair was matted down with blood and sweat, how he looked on the verge of passing out at any given moment. they'd bring him back alive though, none of their enemies ever did have a quick painless death here. ghost had a knack for making his prisoners suffer until they physically and mentally couldn't take anymore, testing each and every brutal limit in their weak bodies. it was only a matter of time until he spilled the dark secret.
but time was not on their side.
"y-you bastards, go to hell" his voice fluctuated angrily as he tried to keep his heartbeat normal, to keep those nerves at bay. to remember his training as a soldier but these men were different, for every step he took they already knew about. he was at their mercy this time.
placing a hand deep within his pocket, the captain of the team entered the room a pensive look painted upon his features. he shifted his bucket hat, looking down at their little victim tied up to the chair as his head tilted a little.
"we're all tired from your little reign of heroism, thinking you're doing well by serving your country and your organisation. for now, you'd do well to remember we're the ones who determine whether you walk out of this building alive. i suggest you start by giving us some answers. you see, myself..." price grabbed the knife from ghost's hand in a quick flash and plunged it straight into the muscle of the man's thigh, completely unfazed at his screams and the splatter of blood coating his cargos
"well, i am not a particularly patient man"

For Your Safety- Shiu Kong
Toxic(?)Exbf! SHIU KONG who started to limit the amount of missions you were sent to after one of his closest companio- co-worker got killed on the job.
He knew it could happen, it wasn't completely unheard of but throughout these last few months it seemed the amount of fatal injuries had risen, and that was his last straw.
It didn't matter whether you were specifically commissioned, he would lie if he had to, get someone else to do it, whatever it took if the stakes looked too high.
You had started becoming increasingly suspicious but when you asked him about it there always seemed to be an excuse. Either way it just didn't make sense, there was never a lack of demand for assassins, as concerning as it was, and even if business was slowing down- it wasn't exactly an over saturated profession. You'd be fine no matter what.
You had managed to slip it into a few conversations with your other co-workers who had Shiu as a handler, everyone seeming surprised at your lack of jobs. Even Toji who was renowned for spending his money the same day he got it hadn't managed to run out yet and that's when you knew something was seriously wrong.
You decide to bring it up to him on a ride home after another pointless day of coming into "office". At this point you only used their training facilities which was somewhat beneficial as you became more agitated by the day. You explain that nothing has changed in the pacing of commissions, no one else seems to have suffered a loss of jobs nor money- that there is obviously something he is keeping from you and you need to know what. And yet, with all your knowledge, he deflects and denounces the whole thing.
Every dismissal felt like a personal insult. Did he think you were stupid? A child even, with all you had said gone out the window as quickly as you could bat an eye.
Your anger had risen tenfold, mind going back to the countless arguments that resembled one. All the times you were left in the dark, the hesitation to let you in on basic knowledge, you felt stuck in an endless, perpetuating cycle. And yet, never had he been so quick to disregard your feelings. Maybe it would've been more mature to re-approach the topic in a sensitive light, to explain to him how it made you feel but in the moment you let go of all of sensible reasoning and blew up.
Everything that was on your mind unloaded unto him like the storm surge of a hurricane, going back and forth from present and past you unleashed the wave of harsh words that would make anyone's' ears curl up into themselves.
You could tell Shiu was become irate. Good. That was what you wanted. For him to feel the transfer of anger that he caused would be the only thing to relinquish you of yours, and it only motivated you further. Seeing his hands seize on the wheel and his muscles tense through his shirt. It was like a physical trophy of your work until he snapped.
"ENOUGH, (Y/n)."
"Enough--?! --Who do you think you're talking-"
"It was to keep you safe."
"Safe?" You boom with faux humour, "I'm an assassin and damn good at my job! I don't need you to keep me safe- i need you to tell me what the hell is going on!"
"People have been dying if you cared to fucking notice and they were 'damn good' at their jobs too! So yes it was to keep you safe and no i wont apologise." He's raised his tone to match yours and you had to stop yourself from trying to cut into him again.
You've been in this situation too many times before but in a brief moment of clarity you could assess the true meaning of his words. The true meaning of his bearing.
Of course you weren't ignorant to the increase of complications during missions- hell, the agency was becoming quick to let go of anyone who made the slightest mistake, but that was just the way of the world and you weren't close with anyone who was affected. Shiu was though, and he had to fill the paper work and inform your bosses of the ones who didn't come back. He had to bear the brunt of all the loses which wouldn't have been anything more than an inconvenience until the wrong person got caught up in the mess. And the wrong person did, his friend - not that he'd ever admit it.
The anger of his voice turned to sorrow as you remembered it, his stance into fear and you realised, that pitiful truth, Shiu was scared. Oh how your words came back to haunt you, the silence in the air left room for regret and you took a deep sigh in, unsure of how to continue. You were still mad at him, regardless of his good intentions but the guilt you felt escaped into your voice as you started,
"I need the money, Shiu."
He kept his eyes trained ahead, resting further into his seat.
"I know, I'll give it to you."
"No, I need my job back."
And there was a pause. You waited, each passing second your doubt increased that he was going to respond.
"Okay...But, please, start off again with the smaller ones."
"For a week."
And the silence continued. You didn't argue on it again, the conversation ending without a verbal agreement because that's what you and Shiu did.
Create problems from silence and resolve them the same way.

If it's alright with you, can you write the lin kuei trio with a s/o, who is a detective tracking down a serial killer who is going to target s/o and the lin kuei trio's reaction to it.
I can confidently say I have never gotten a request like this
Handle it or he's handling it
It's as simple as that
Did Bi-Han let his own father die? Yes. But for whatever reason he didn't fuck with him
I'm assuming he fucks with you though, so the thought of someone hunting you down is not something he's very fond of
I don't think he'd have any strong feelings about you being a detective. Not everyone can be out and about fighting people from other realms. Some people gotta do some protective work for the smaller people
So you being a detective is whatever to him
When you say you're hunting down a serial killer, I don't think he'd have any strong emotions either. He just assumes you'll catch them soon. His faith is pretty high
When it's revealed the serial killer is hunting you, that obviously becomes a big problem
A problem he has to solve
If you're like “No Bi-Han! I got it! Let me find them and end this!” he'll consider giving you a set amount of time before he handles it
Doesn't know how he's gonna track this unknown person down but his faith in himself is stupidly high
If you find them and lock whoever up then great for you
If the agreed time passes and they're still on the loose, he becomes Batman. Get out the way. He got it
No point in protesting either. Just sit at home and let him figure it out
He becomes the annoying boss in police movies. Y'all know what I mean
Definitely finds the person eventually and finishes the job for you
Hooray?
Honestly I think all the brothers are a “handle it or I'll handle it” case
Thoughts on you being a detective are positive. I think he can see how difficult that certain job would be
He's fighting with his fists. You're using your brain. You're both helping people.
He admires it lowkey
You're hunting down a serial killer now? Ok. Be safe-
What do you mean you're a target now?
He kinda saw it coming but it's still unfortunate
He'd understand still wanting to lead this case and he applauds standing your ground, but he's also worried because ya know, you could be killed
He'd try to assist but at some point he would really want you to let someone else handle it
By someone else, he means him
He's a trained assassin. He can probably hunt this guy faster than you can
Has more patience than Bi-Han but if a lot of time passes and they're not handled, then he'll step in
He probably would've warned you beforehand that this was something that would happen but as we can see, you either didn't listen or still slipped up
It's not that he thinks you can't handle it… kinda.
You're just not moving quick enough
I think he’d be nice enough to remind you he has faith in you but would vocalize his concerns when it comes to you still working on this case
Whether or not you decide to drop it is up to you, but he’s definitely not
Thoughts on you being a detective I think are also positive
He thinks you're doing a good thing
The Lin Kuei can't help everyone. They do more bigger things
So you helping civilians is great to him. It's a good cause
I think he'd also enjoy hearing about your cases and chiming in whenever
Hunting down a serial killer? Well, he guesses someone has to do it
He'd be confident enough in your abilities to catch this person
But then you're the next target
I think honestly all the brothers would have a similar reaction. So much so, I don't think there'd be much of a change. I probably could've written this in one paragraph
He could possibility be the most cooperative when it comes to letting you handle it
Gives you the most time to figure it out and tries to help out as a partner
Doesn’t wanna step on your toes but if you’re taking too long, he’s gonna do his own investigating
Probably asks Kuai Liang for assistance
I’m not saying any of them would find this person in days time, but they certainly believe they will
Worried about your safety as you could imagine, so he wants you to sit this one out
He’s probably conflicted, like what I said with Kuai Liang. One part is like “yeah, you gotta find this person!” And the other is like “you need to sit down so you’ll be safe”
Probably prefers for you to do all your investigating at home. Any leads you have you’ll either follow together, he’ll follow it, or someone else will
I think all the brothers will want to help as much as they could and would wanna handle this serial killer. And by handle, I don’t mean letting them go to prison. You can get out of that if you play your cards right
The only real difference is how much they let you help after they find out you’re a target
Bi-Han is like “I gave you time. You’re done. I got it”. Kuai Liang is “I knew this would happen and I know you wanna stand your ground, but maybe take a step down” and Tomas is “I get it so let me help”
This is kinda boo boo. Also I hate their little moodboards I made. It’s sickening

Before Jason, before even Dick, there was a Robin. Well, not quite a Robin that was named Robin, but a sort of side-kick to Batman, though she stayed away from the spotlight and was essentially the cryptid to the cryptid.
Passerine, she was called.
No one but Bruce Wayne were quite sure what happened that made Passerine's rumours die fully down, as if they weren't always bottom of the barrel.
Bruce liked to avoid the topic, a whole lot, in fact, but when you have a family full of detectives, a concerning amount of who had been trained at one point or another by assassin's, keeping a secret, even if you're Batman, is hard.
Turns out, while on a mission Passerine had accidentally killed someone. How? He report didn't specify, but she did, and Bruce had gotten upset.
Being 14 at the time, Passerine got angry and ran-- apperently Jasons' story isn't that original-- and she ran right into Amity Park, where she would die.
Bruce regretted every single word he had said that day, how he hadn't heard Passerine out, how he was overwhelmed by Passerine breaking her promise never to kill anyone, how bad of a parent he was.
When Jason became Red Hood, Bruce made sure not to make the same mistake. Try and hear Jason out, never forcefully drive him away, because he wasn't going to lose Jason like he lost Passerine.
A few years later, they begin investigations into Amity Park, mostly Damian, so he can learn about Passerine, how well she would've kept up in a fight, and to see why Father had let her be the first sidekick, and not tell Grayson about it.
He found about a hero, Phantom, who, despite his powers, fought much like a bat was taught to fight. Like Passerine. Researching more, he found a clip from a Pride Parade held in Amity Park, where Phantom was wearing a transgender pride flag like a cape for the entirety of the celebration.
And when comparing the physical features of Phantom and Passerine, they matched. Well, bar the shorter hair and flatter chest.
He shows his findings to the rest of the family, who agree that they should investigate more-- possibly because Phantom seemed very powerful-- so they go to Amity Park, without Bruce, because they figured it was best not to.
In the first 5 hours of arriving there, there was an attack that none other but Phantom cut short. They locked eyes.
That was undeniably Passerine, though barely recognizable with the shorter hair and complete change, but she-- he still looked 14, as if he had died only a day ago. Not ages ago.
A few ghost hunters cut their staring short, causing Phantom to fly away.
All the bats in Amity Park make communicate with Phantom their top priority.
Meanwhile, Danny Phantom is freaking out(TM) because those were the bats, what were they doing in Amity and why did they make him so easily??
--
Some idea I had stuck in my head for the past few days where Danny died and didn't age, but still became Phantom.
Feel free to mess around with it you want to, but tag me if you do! I want to see!
Also, in my AU, Danny's deadname isn't Danielle, so I didn't want to use that for his deadname, so I just said Passerine.

Little Sister
Illumi Zoldyck X Sister!Reader
Word Count: 2062
Requested: Anon
Request: Could you possibly do a one shot with illumi and a younger sister similar to daki pretty pls who’s also a good assassin and is prided on her looks 😊 AND Basically Illumi little sister (reader) gets a S/O and they cheat on us so we run to him in tears what would he do? How would he handle it? How would he comfort us? AND Hiii can you do brother head canons for illumi with a sister who’s about 15-16 so in the middle of milluki and killua who is like a great assassin but also very like caring with him and similar to daki/ume from demon slayer pls!🐺 AND Can you do a one shot or just headcannons(Whatever you prefer) with a reader who is the third oldest Zoldyck who is a amazing assassin who doesn’t fail while also looking after all her siblings and trying to keep the family together pls :)
You had, much like the rest of your family, established your place in the criminal underworld, your ability to assassinate people without leaving so much as a trace was sought after everywhere, you were good at blending into the shadows, your nen ability markedly more dangerous than some of your siblings. You were an emitter type with the ability to turn any bodily fluid into a poisonous substance, something untraceable with subtle symptoms for the most part well until the asphyxia set in.
Illumi was the brother that you were closest to, he liked working with you and when you were younger he spent the most time with you, Milluki was too busy trying to get his mothers approval and Illumi honestly couldn't care less and that led him to watch you more carefully. He started training you young when he realised your ability was manifesting, you had accidentally killed two butlers when you had gotten injured playing in the garden. He noticed when you were young that you were very pretty, and the compliments that you got from others made it an asset that you could use. Even now at the age of 16 it was the selling point for most of your jobs.
The family was starting to crack now that Killua had decided to leave, with all bets placed on him for the next leader of the family, the adults were scrambling even if they tried to hide it. Illumi was off tracking him down, well that was a strong term at the very least you and Illumi knew where he was, the hunter exam. You decided that it wouldn’t be a bad idea to have a hunter licence since travel was such a pain when you were on jobs. That was how you found yourself in the underground tunnel waiting for the exam to actually start. You came in as contestant 320 with your boyfriend as number 321. Your eyes found Killua who was already looking at you.
“What are you doing here?” He asked, “I’m not going home.” “I’m not here to take you back, travelling is really hard these days, the licence is going to make that way easier and we both know that we can get through this no problem.” You shrugged and he smiled. “Is Dad mad?” He asked. “Honestly I don’t think so, I think he wants you to go home though.” You answered. “Go find some friends, they’ll be good to have, there’s going to be some stages where you need them.” You turned to walk away feeling someone watching you, you looked over to see a man in green, pins in his face and jerky movements. You continued walking as you got close enough he spoke. “You aren’t supposed to be here?” He said and it was then that you realised who it was, Illumi. “Well, I figured that it might be worth getting a licence and since you're both here why not make it a family outing? Don’t worry I’ll stay out of you and your friends' way.” Your eyes travelled to Hisoka who was leaning against the wall a few paces away, he smirked when his eyes met yours. “Mm, what did you bring him for?” Illumi asked as he gestured towards your boyfriend. “(Y/B/N) is here for a licence too, he wanted one.” You rolled your eyes at your brother’s dislike towards your chosen companion. “Remember not to let your guard down.” He warned. “There’s nothing to worry about.” You waved him off as you walked back over to your boyfriend. “Who was that?” He asked. “I don’t know some creepy guy, guess he’s sizing up the competition.” You answered.
It took two tasks for things to break down you had managed to get separated in the tower, that didn’t cause you any problems and you finished as one of the first, with Hisoka and Illumi being some of the people that you noticed first, as time ticked down you started to worry that you’d have to complete the rest of the tasks alone. Hisoka was the one that came over to you while you were sitting alone. “You know you don’t need to wait for him, I doubt that he’ll get much further.” He said. “What does it matter to you?” Your eyes hadn’t moved from the timer, you could see Illumi in the corner of your eye. “Honestly, it’s rather annoying to watch you handicap yourself so readily, little assassin.” Hisoka answered. “You should know that he’s using you.” “Using me?” You asked with a frown. “What do you mean?” Before Hisoka could answer your question the door opened and out stumbled (Y/B/N) but behind him was a girl, you had seen her throughout the exam, she hadn’t ever approached him while you were with him. “Look at his shirt.” Hisoka prompted before standing and leaving you alone, your eyes travelled to (Y/B/N)’s shirt, it seemed to have been thrown on haphazardly or recently ruffled you couldn’t tell, he walked over and smiled. “I’m glad that you made it.” He smiled. “Same to you.” You smiled, plastering on the fake emotion so naturally as you noticed the smell of the girl on him, everything was adding up to a conclusion that you really didn’t want to think about, not right now.
You sat on the boat taking you to the island that the next task would take place on, you looked at the badge number in your hand 321, (Y/B/N)’s number. You could definitely pass without taking his badge but as you looked at him, the way his eyes now wondered, you realised that you weren’t so sure that you wanted to. You decided to talk to him about the tower. You hadn’t noticed in your pondering that he had disappeared, you attempted to find him and it honestly didn’t take long given your occupation, the problem was the position that him in, the girl that he had come out of the tower with pressed against the wall, they hadn’t even realised that you were there, tears gathering in your eyes as you glared at them. She was the one to notice you but you weren’t sure if it was you or the presence behind you that made them look. “O-oh I-” “You what?” You asked, the presence behind you seemed to have disappeared from the moment he looked back at you. “Look, I don't think we’re going to work.” He said. “Oh really, was that before or after you put your tongue down her throat?” You asked. “You know what? You want to know the truth?” He asked. “Yes!” You answered. “You really aren’t that pretty, you’ve been convenient and honestly you’ve gotten rid of a lot of obstacles. I was hoping that you would be able to get me through this last task but it seems like that won’t be the case.” He explained and you looked at him frozen in place, your family had always told you that you shouldn’t put trust in other people but now you understood why and all you wanted to do was turn around and run but this time the presence you felt before seemed closer and you saw your brother’s long hair out of the corner of your eye. “Are you really going to let him talk to you like that?” He asked. “He’s seems to have taken something from you, I think it’s time that you take it back, little sister.” “Later.” You answered as you held the badge up so that they could all see it “after all you're my target on the island I think I’ll take everything from you there.” “That sounds like a perfect plan.” Illumi answered “and the girl?” “Isn’t that your number, big brother?” You asked.
The island itself had not been a problem, you had been tracking (Y/B/N) and the girl, they were sporadic and jerky in their movements they were trying to preemptively shake you off but you wouldn’t be in the occupation that you were that easily shook off, they stopped for the night and that was when you made your move. “You're stopping here?” You asked from your place in the branches. “Y-you found us?” He asked. “I found you.” You answered “I made a promise, I really need your badge.” “Here, have it!” He threw the badge at you and you smiled picking it up off the floor. “Thank you.” From your crouched position you looked up at him. “T-then go.” He ordered. “No.” You answered as you dove forward, dagger taken from the holster on your as you pressed your knee to his throat, the girl screaming. “Sit down, shut up and I might have mercy on you.” You turned back to him “now back to you, you never asked me what my nen ability was, you really should have because you would have known that everytime you kissed me I chose to let you live.” You moved your knee from his neck moving to straddle him pressing your lips to his as your ability activated, you stood as you walked over to the girl who was still sitting on the ground. “I-I did as y-you said. She stuttered. “You did.” You said softly as taking her chin in your hand. “You said that you would let me go.” She said, tone lifting in hope as you looked at her and shook your head. “I said I’d have mercy and that just means you don’t die slowly and alone like he does.” You explained. “W-wait don’t I have your brother’s number!? I don’t have my badge see” she pointed to her top “if you kill me you’ll never find it.” “It’s a good thing he doesn’t need it then.” You smirked, her eyes widened “yeah I lied because I knew it would force you to stay with him under the impression that he’d be able to keep you safe, stupid assumption really.” “I-I’m sorry.” She cried. “I’m sure you are.” You nodded before yanking her head to the side and effectively breaking her neck. “Nicely done.” Illumi’s voice emitted over the clearing standing over your dying ex. “Do you have your badge?” You asked. “Mm.” He hummed while holding the badge. “Then I will see you in 3 days.” You muttered as you left the clearing and the dead bodies that you had created there as well.
A few days later you found yourself back home, Killua was back home as well and while he was supposedly being punished for everything that he had done you decided that you should go and talk to your father about, he was the only one that could change anything that was happening “Dad, can I talk to you?” You asked. “Of course, come over here.” Your Dad prompted, he’d always had a soft spot for you, his only daughter, well the only one he acknowledged. “What do you want to talk about?” “Killua.” You answered as you settled next to him. “What about him?” Your Dad asked. “I think we should let him see the world, he’s going to have to at some point, he’ll never run the family if it seems like a prison.” You answered, the silence that followed made you rethink “sorry I have overstepped.” “No, no, it’s not that… You think that he will come back?” Your father asked. “I do.” You nodded. “If we give him reason to.” “And why did you come to talk to me about all of this?” He asked. “I want the family to stay together and I thought this was the best way.” You explained. “Mmm, thank you. Let me talk to your brother.” He said, pressing a kiss to your forehead before you got up to leave. “Once this is done I want to hear about what happened, Illumi said there was something that I should hear of.” “Okay Dad.” You answered as you left the room.
It was only voicing your opinion but you hoped it was enough you wanted everyone in the family to be happy and for it to stay together and it only seemed fair that Killua found his way back to the family on his own rather than being forced. You only hoped that your father headed your advice.

Is you're interested in requests right now what about the villian coming a cross the hero by chance when they're both out as civilians and hero is being harassed by an abusive ex and villain steps in?
If you're not taking requests right now or don't like this one sorry for bothering you >.<
“The problem is: they’re stalking me. They think we’re still together.” The hero rolled their eyes. “I can’t get rid of them and I can’t kill them. They’ve attacked me before and it’s easy to beat their ass. It’s just annoying at this point. That’s all it is. It’s annoying.”
The villain crossed their arms, smiling.
“Your taste in lovers is interesting.”
“Not the point,” the hero answered. “I need you to do something.”
“Why me?”
“You look scarier. Scars and all.” The hero pointed at one of them on the villain’s forearm but, honestly, the villain didn’t buy it.
Of course the hero could beat their ex’s ass and of course they could kill them. They could report them to the police, hell, the hero could even hire someone to assassinate them.
Something wasn’t adding up here. If the hero wanted them gone, they would be gone and they would not ask the villain for help.
“What do I get in return?” the villain asked, leaning forward. They stared down at the hero who didn’t look intimidated at all.
“Uhm…”
“I’m no benefactor,” the villain said. They looked over the hero’s shoulder and just like the hero had predicted, their ex was leaving the bakery. It was easy to spot them. As defender of the city, the hero had given a perfect description and as a trained killer, the villain had spotted them right away. Even though they didn’t want to admit this, they could understand the obsession someone might develop over the hero, they couldn’t understand the violence though.
Which was…ironic.
Exactly two minutes had gone by since the hero had stopped and begged the villain to help them. With scary preciseness, the ex had managed to spend those two minutes and not a single second more in that bakery. They looked easy enough to take down but the villain was aware that they were still in public. Causing a scene could reveal their identity, despite the crowded street.
Scanning the ex’s body with their eyes, they recognised physical weaknesses the villain could take advantage of. They couldn’t help but compare themselves to the hero’s ex. And yet, they couldn’t blame the hero for not being in love with a killer either. Brushing their own insecurities aside, the villain looked back at the hero.
Apparently, they read the villain’s gaze. The hero’s whole body seemingly sank in and they took a step back from the villain. It left them to ask themselves what would’ve happened if they hadn’t.
Was it a pride thing? Was their ex stronger than the hero and they didn’t want to admit it? No, ridiculous.
The ex didn’t look impressed when they came towards the two. Their gaze drifted to the hero, definitely toxic and totally pathetic, demanding answers but the hero only stared at the ground.
“Who are you?” the ex asked the villain. The latter’s brows knitted together.
“We’re having an affair.” The hero’s eyes widened and they stared at the villain, completely terrified. Quickly, the villain regretted their choice of words. Messing around with the hero’s ex was supposed to be fun but they were genuinely horrifying the hero. They had never seen the hero like this. Pale, eyes wide open, picking at their nails until they were bleeding.
Without thinking about it, they grabbed the hero’s arm gently and pulled them towards themselves.
“Excuse me?” the ex sneered. “Who do you think you are?”
“I’m their lover,” the villain said. “You should go now.”
They could feel the poor hero shake against them and the villain realised they had fucked up. It was now or never. If the ex got away, the hero would pay for it.
“Babe, come with me,” they said and their gaze bored into the hero. “We’re going home.”
“Don’t be dumb now,” the villain warned. They saw how close the ex got, that they wanted to reach out and grab the hero. They scoffed, they were pissed and it only motivated the villain further.
“I told you, we’re going home,” they insisted but the villain felt the hero’s grip in their jacket. That’s all it is. It’s annoying.
The villain could only sigh as the ex reached out to grab their “lover.” The villain caught their wrist easily and pushed themselves in front of the hero, squeezing flesh, muscle and bone. Funnily, the ex tried to stay tough but the villain could see the façade cracking. They were in incredible pain but to outsiders it probably looked like an awkward handshake.
The villain leaned forward.
“I will find out what you did to them,” the villain whispered into the ex’s ear. “And I promise you will regret it.”
They pulled back, still holding the other’s wrist and smiled.
“I’m very pleased to meet you,” they purred. They put more strength into their grip. “Very pleased.”
They didn’t stop until the ex’s wrist made a horrible crack and from that day on, the hero stayed quite happily at the villain’s apartment.

"oh my god, the comic that opened its plot by saying that removing corporal punishments from schools was a bad idea and the teachers need to go back to beating up students turned out to be racist, who could have seen this coming!!"
Listen, okay, I don't want to dunk on the people who enjoy Get Schooled and genuinely didn't see the racism coming, but like... as someone who doesn't read Get Schooled and checked it out to see what the plot was even about following all the controversy these past couple days, y'all, the description is a hard fucking pass.
And I still checked out its first episode to give it more benefit of the doubt and... nah fam. Not saying we should have seen the racism coming a mile away but I'm baffled as to why people read this at all. I'm all for manga and webtoons with senseless or comical violence, but you still need to set the baseline for where that violence is taking place and what context it exists within. Naruto? Yeah, sure, students fighting the teachers, this is a fantasy universe based around the ninja arts, makes sense they're gonna fight each other and it seems like a mutual agreement. Assassination Classroom? The teacher literally isn't human and he's training his students on how to kill him otherwise he'll destroy their whole planet. Shit, even fucking Matilda handles it better because it's one kid being abused by the principal and that principal is so ridiculously abusive that the parents don't even believe the abuse is happening (to the point that this form of abuse and manipulation is often nicknamed "The Trunchbull Method" because it's designed to be so absurd that no one will believe the victim), so it winds up being on Matilda's shoulders to use her newfound gifts to teach her a lesson - but the story itself is meant to remind adults that kids are people and just because they're smaller and weaker than you doesn't give you a free pass to be abusive.
Point is, in all of those examples, you can create that suspension of disbelief in how the teachers and students behave towards one another because their entire plots require suspension of disbelief.
But Get Schooled is literally just... it's set in Korea, it's a normal high school story, there's nothing supernatural or unique going on with the students or the teachers, and there's no moral or lesson it's trying to express, it's literally just taking real life and saying, "hey, adults should be allowed to beat up kids". When has combatting violence with more violence ever been a solution in that kind of context? Why is this a comic that even exists, let alone on a platform that's regularly marketed to teenagers?
It's depressing. And just for the record, I was spurred on to make this post by the recent response from the team behind Get Schooled regarding the VERY racist plotline it recently released on the Korean version of the app.
Like... this is shit WT shouldn't have even been allowing to fly under the radar to begin with. The bar is on the floor. I also love how the creators of Get Schooled admitted to the fact that they were raised in a homogenous society but still thought they were up to the task of "bringing the issue [of multicultural racism] to light", when they, in fact, do the complete OPPOSITE within that episode by suggesting, "actually, if you're mixed race then you're the REAL bad guy, it's the pureblood Koreans who are the oppressed minority, there are so many immigrants these days!!" And "stopping hatred" sure is a big claim when the entire point of their comic is combatting hatred with hatred, or in Get Schooled's case, bullying with corporal punishment.
Yikes. Big fucking yikes.

Yeah I'm not done yet.
The thing I keep coming back to is that as much as I'm down to nit-pick things like how characters are written and plot details (and boy are there a whole infestation of nits to pick), what it boils down to is that the basic premise here shouldn't even be happening.
I get they're doing a Thing with Bruce and the after effects of Failsafe and Zur and Insomnia so sure I guess it makes sense to have him acting totally unreasonably. I'm not saying it's a plotline I'm thrilled with, but whatever. This is about everyone else.
You have half a dozen people routinely patrolling in Gotham, who've been doing it for years, who know the city and how it works, who have at least two people who are particularly inclined towards collecting and parsing data for patterns for crime fighting purposes, and none of you noticed anything amiss until Selina called and was like "Hey did you notice my neat new plan I've been doing?"
To that point, in a room full of literal canonical geniuses not a single person has thought to ask any of a dozen very practical questions that occurred to me, a non-genius reader, roughly 10 seconds after reading what The Plan was. Things like, oh, I don't know
How is this going to be a sustainable long-term effort?
For example, what happens when Gotham's wealthiest realize what you're doing and dramatically beef up their security (with tech or with actual people), making it much harder and more dangerous?
Like iirc you, Selina, have definitely had some real dicey situations as a result of your profession, and you're a lot more experienced than these people.
(Hey speaking of which isn't there a whole secret society of Gotham's wealthiest and most powerful who have access to nearly unkillable assassins? Who keeps coming back even though they keep being taken down? You think any of these people might belong to that?)
What happens when the rich folks get pissed and sic the heavily militarized GCPD on you? Don't act like they won't, I'm sure someone's squirreled away stuff from that whole Fear State fiasco.
For that matter, what happens when the costumed villainry figure out who swiped all their henchpeople and decide to object to it, presumably violently?
How many people are we talking here anyway that you're training? How many ultra-wealthy people live in Gotham? How many easily stealable things do they have sitting around to take? (As opposed to, like, other non-liquid fake assets like stocks)
How are you fencing all this anyway? Isn't that a great way to get caught? Or is everyone just stealing cash? (Or did nobody think about the part between "got the valuable thing" and "have usable money from it"?)
How on god's green earth did you ever assume this was going to end in anything other than violence?
Like of course one of your guys got killed. It doesn't matter that you told them no violence, even if they fully buy into that it only takes one panicked reaction when someone's home who shouldn't be, on either side, and there you go.
Look I get what they're trying to do. It's supposed to be a big moral quandary about whether it's right to allow some crime if it decreases other crime, the struggle between Batman being unreasonably violent and unwilling to listen and this new plan of Selina's. First of all that's a weird debate to have when everyone having it is technically a criminal to some degree. And second of all, it doesn't matter, this isn't about the morality, this is about how this plan is fucking dumb and was destined to fall apart even if Batman was still asleep and the fact that any of you are buying it just means there's a gas leak in Gotham somewhere.
#maybe i'm totally wrong and there's some secret behind-the-scene plot happening and the plan as presented is just a front#which would not excuse the way all the kids are reacting but would at least get selina off the hook#maybe i'll eat my words later whe it turns out there was some grand plan that totally ties everything together#but right now i'm fucking annoyed at how LITERALLY EVERYONE is being handled in this and i needed to vent#for the record no i'm not at all morally opposed to the ultra-wealthy getting their shit stolen i think that part is fine#i just don't think you should base a sizeable chunk of the city's long-term economic survival on having that as an income#gotham war#comics talk

More on Crocodile taking in the reader after running from WBP... he recognizes the distrust you have for everyone right off the bat. You haven't had the time or experience to be able to hide your feelings like him or Robin. You tell him you'll work for him, just please keep you away from the Whitebeard pirates. They get a fake name pretty quickly so they can be talked about without tipping anyone off. You get a little bit of training to help use the dark fruit. Usually other baroque works members, but there are a couple times where he gives you tips himself, logia to logia. Any advice is usually coated in a layer of disinterest or annoyance, to obfuscate from both of you that he’s trying to help. You really only use the fruit sparingly- no grand displays of mass destruction like Teach. You become Crocodile's shadow- kept close for your usefulness but also so he knows where you are/what you're up to. It takes a long while to catch feelings if he ever does- neither of you trust anyone, after all... but him getting especially pissed with one of the casino staff deciding to flirt with you might be the beginning of something
Oooooooh, yandere WBP trauma into soft yandere Crocodile x Reader, I like it.
Crocodile referring to you as his little pet project, leaving people to wonder if he means the phrase mundanely or if there's more going on behind closed doors. He likes the misunderstanding because while there isn't, he's not keen on anyone getting close to you, doesn't mull over the why of that anymore than he has to.
Man takes a quiet pride in your progress, no matter how much or how little he helps - everyone who has had a hand in your improvement is part of HIS organization, so it's all his doing anyway, and a good leader knows how to delegate.
He struggles, fumes at the casino staff that are flirting with you, but their not doing their job poorly, and you're not really reciprocating anyway, so he needs to let it go. Good staff IS hard to find, and there's nothing going on, he needs to be better than that.
The "breaking" point is when someone tries to assassinate him late at night. He knows they're there, pretending to be engrossed in work, and before he can deal with them, he hears the strange mangled gurgle and a sharp snap of bones.
There's no body, no evidence, just your eyes looking up at him. They're not empty, there's a little panic there, you acted to defend him without thinking and did something you may not have meant to. The first person you've ever killed so directly, and it was protect him.
Whether he needed the help or not doesn't matter.
The care he provides you afterward is a moment for both of you. His voice is kind, his tone, his touch, his reassurances. Nothing sexual happens, but the intimacy is profound. The cracks in the walls you both had break away, and the walls reform around both of you. The trust between you is a trust neither of you have with anyone else.
When you wake from nightmares, it's his voice and his warmth that soothe you. If you never work past the trauma of that first kill he never lets you kill again. If you do work past it and amenable to it, you become more than just his shadow, you become the darkness that threatens to engulf Alabasta.

once you're finished the game could you share your elgarook Thoughts? as i fellow villain fucker i also want him but i cant think of a plot that makes sense for rook and him to get together in any way shape or form akdbsj
OH HI!!! In truth now that I'm done with the game I still have to rework some points in my Elgarook timeline. But in case of Nadir and Elgar'nan... (POSSIBLE SPOILERS BELOW THE CUT)
1) Their first (solo) meeting is an attempted assassination from my lil Rook, who was probably also kinda drunk, since he attacks with a normal dagger which is... kinda useless against a god. Elgar'nan in game seems pretty chill, offering "mercy" more than once so I doubt he would be pissed at Nadir for trying. 2) Words are exchanged, Nadir is trapped and probably panicking a bit once he understands the situation he got into, he's able to flee, but there is some sort of curiosity between the two: Elgar'nan can easily sense Nadir is a mage (and a powerful one) but my lil Rook never uses magic, especially the offensive one. That's a mystery he's curious about considering it makes no sense to him (one who's obsessed with power) Nadir refuses to use his natural gifts. And this fear to use magic makes him a perfect pawn to be manipulated and guided to become someone like him. Plus it would be a nice little revenge against Solas, to steal Rook away. Nadir, while looking like this cute smug creature, is pretty insecure, he hates using magic due to hurting people by mistake each time he tried to control it. He hates acting like a hero because he can't see himself as a good person, just a cursed one. But around Elgar'nan he doesn't have to pretend to be perfect, to be controlled. Elgar'nan is the enemy, who cares about his opinion after all? And somehow that lack of care becomes a sense of freedom. So for a while they seek each other out, to learn, to test boundaries, it's a little game neither give much importance. Elgar'nan needs a hobby beyond conquering the world and Nadir needs time away from responsibilities.
That being said, despite starting a literal affair with the enemy, my Rook is beyond loyal to the team, and makes it clear he won't divulge anything which could hurt his friends or help the evanuris. Another part of their dynamic is what they gain from each other. Nadir is quite the atheist, he recognizes Elgar'nan can be considered a god, but he doesn't feel the need to worship anything or anyone. Which makes him see Elgar as a person. He's close to him not to gain godly favor, power or whatever. He simply enjoys his company and the parts of Elgar'nan which can be considered... human (wrong word XD) A person who's built empires using only his power would end up with nothing if that power were to disappear. But Nadir? He would stay. So Elgar'nan gains what it feels to get real unconditional love. On the other hand Nadir gets to be free from his fears. He doesn't have to be scared about using magic around the evanuris because he literally can't hurt them, and even if he were to... it's enemies! Technically he would be doing good by hurting them XD Plus Elly is training him! He doesn't have to act like a hero amonst his enemies. He doesn't have to act like a leader since that's a role Elgar'nan won't leave to anyone. There is also the affection which builds over time which is always nice XD (and the fucks are real good too.) In the end I want them to be like two jigsaw puzzle pieces which lock with each other perfectly despite being completely different. (And yes, Nadir is still going to kill him at the end, in a tragic and painful scene.) As for you, it depends what kind of dynamic you want! You can have your rook act as a spy, joining his side to gather his secrets only to fall for him. Or you can have Rook kidnapped only to have Elgar'nan treating them courteously. Honestly it depends on your tastes!
