ranpo is a 6 of 10. doesn't get too worried about other guys because he knows you wouldn't go for anyone else other than the greatest detective ever, but when another guy flirts with you, he just feels the need to.. step in.

yosano is a 7 of 10. she doesn't mind when others speak to you, as long as they aren't flirting with you, and that's a loose term with her. asking for directions in a large mall could get someone's fingers chopped off if she was in a particularly annoyed mood.

fukuzawa is a 4 of 10. he doesn't care if people talk to you either, but flirting is off the table with him. even so, he'll just leave the area and take you with him, he can't just let some other guy talk to you, are you crazy?

akutagawa is a 8 of 10. if someone's making small talk or something he doesn't care, but even speaking to you or looking at you for too long is just like asking for him to beat them senselessly.

chuuya is a 8 of 10. like akutagawa, small talk doesn't matter to him. you're socializing, who cares? but he's absolutely jealous of your friends, especially your close ones. strangers, he can beat the shit out of those, but your friends? he can't do anything there, so he just sits in silence.

higuchi is an 9 of 10. she hates when anyone else talks to you, she just can't stand it. she'll openly tell you how much she hates it when other people beside her 'flirt' with you, and makes you promise not to hurt her like that again.

gin is a 3 of 10. she does get jealous of other people like your closer friends, but doesn't act on anything, just sits in silence. maybe she'll express to you she was jealous, but she won't hurt anyone unless they make advances on you

tachihara is a 6 of 10. he does get jealous of your friends, but doesn't hate them. he just wants to be in their place. who says you should spend all your time with them? leave some room for him, won't you?

zoro is a very sufficient and blunt, cut to the chase kinda guy bc he doesn't like waiting. he prefers things to be direct. he's not good with words and he doesn’t see the point in being. he doesn't like talking bc he's more of a listener, so he isn't too big on words of affirmations, in both ways.

he would get annoyed with disgusting over the top phrases about how great he is or how much you love him. even worse if you use stupid petnames. he would just be very weirded out and annoyed.

he's awkward with words. he never seems to be able to put what he's thinking into words correctly. it frustrates him that he is bad at conversing. most he can do is say that you're cool or impressive. if you're looking for a romantic poet, he's not the one for you. he just trusts you know that he loves and cares for you without having to put it into complicated words. the most you’ll get from him is an “i love you”/“i’m in love with you”. that’s as straight forward as it gets. he can do that.

he's an ‘actions speak louder than words’ person. he'll make sure you feel as loved as possible with the little amount of sweet talk you get from him. but just bc he can't tell you how much he loves you in riddled poems doesn't mean he isn't loving. it’s evident that he’s in love with you with all the things he does for you. you definitely get prince:ss treatment.

he's always near you, hovering like a shadow. he seems like a puppy the way he follows you around. or rather a grumpy wolf, ready to ward off anyone who gets too close. he sneaks little touches throughout the day and always finds a way to surprise you and make you feel special. and he gives the best hugs. they're warm and soft and he just holds you so perfectly. or maybe it’s just that you fit into him so well bc he’s so buff. it definitely adds to the confortness.

he doesn't really like/need quality time. he is a very out of sight out of mind person and spending a lot of time with someone is not an indicator of how much you love them to him. at least that’s what he used to think before you came along. he can’t help but feel warm whenever you seek him out to spend your free time with him. and he has found himself doing the same with you without even realizing it, accompanying you almost everywhere you went.

your love prevails even after long periods of time apart but he would still rather have you with him all the time. that way he has an eye on you and can protect you. not that you can’t do it yourself, he just feels more at ease that way. you not being with him makes him worry and feel stressed so quality time is definitely something he needs now. you don't have to be doing anything important, just being together with you is good for him.

he likes it when you watch him train for example. having your eyes on him makes him wanna perform even better than usual and catching you staring at his chest or back is always something he looks forward to. and even though he gives his best and powers himself out, he’s never too tired for a little fun afterwards. your reward for being so patient.

he especially loves it when you join him for a nap. there's nothing that makes him feel more content than feeling your warmth and body close to his while he's sleeping. again, he likes having you close in case anything happens but it's also just very comforting and comfortable. he sleeps much better with you. he didn't know what a good night of sleep was before you joined him for a nap for the first time. and now he hates it whenever he has to sleep alone. but waking up alone is even worse. you need to join him for naps. if you see him napping just go lay down beside him so he can feel ok.

you’re good with your words. (even if you aren’t, it seems that way to him bc he’s not) and he admires that. he’s fascinated with how well you articulate yourself. he holds the same admiration for robin. only that his admiration for you is a bit stronger because your words are often directed at him, spoken in secret in your chambers with no one else to hear but him. and unfortunately he has grown to like it.

She will attempt to continue the meeting for your sake but if they refuse to play nice or have made you uncomfortable they are asked to take their leave, even if it's not at the palace. Surely the display in public would send them off, tails between their legs.

Unfortunately, this isn't the first time she's dealt with something like this and she suspects it will be far from the last. It doesn't affect her as much as it used to, the worst of it being from your family and them embarrassing you in the process. She will also confide in you but make sure you do not worry about her as you are her main concern.

After their departure, she finds you immediately and does whatever you require whether that's a hug, a good cry in her arms, talking, or ignoring the whole thing for now. She reassures you of your safety and makes sure you smile once more.

When they continue his shock turns to a stern, calm anger. "..I see." He enlightens them with the fact that he owes them nothing nor anyone else for that matter, something you taught him. If they have a problem, that is awful for them plain and simple.

If they continue he will excuse you both curtly before escorting you away from them. He's still calm but silent. He's hurt because it's your family but what he said is true. What you and his own friends/family think of him matters more than anything else.

Even so he may need some reassurance. He might know all of that but he still struggles with his insecurities. He wants to make sure he did right by you in case you want your family in your life still.

His eyes narrow as he pulls you behind him, putting himself between you and your family. With his jaw clenched, his words flow with venom and purpose.

He's not above berating anyone no matter the time or place for hurting you but he'd rather not have a physical fight with them if he doesn't have to.

As soon as he's finished lashing out at them he turns on his heel and guides you away, holding you in his coat so they don't see you and vice versa.

As soon as you are somewhere safe, he frets over you and makes sure you are okay. He will try to distract you first to take your mind off it unless you want to talk immediately. If there is anything he can do for you, it will be done.

In any case, they've said enough so he gently takes your hand and walks away from them. He will remain silent for a while before he feels comfortable saying anything.

It's weird that you could be so different from them but he's very glad of it. In another aspect, you make him feel safe, secure and loved. He couldn't be more grateful, even if he has trouble showing that sometimes.

She's not afraid to walk closer into their space and point/poke at them as she verbally lays into them. Her language is a bit less colorful than her brother's but she's not going to play nice unless she has to. They've certainly lost her respect currently and are undeserving of it.

If they try to continue she will talk over them, continuing to roast them until she's finished. She'll tell them off one last time with a huff before taking your hand in hers and leaving them.

She might vent about it more but she knows it's not your fault and makes sure you don't worry about it. They're their own people and they just so happen to suck but clearly, that has nothing on you.

She takes you to a safe space all the while asking if you're alright and if there's anything she can do right now to help. She feels guilty about being so intense but she just can't stand anyone speaking to or about you that way, especially those who should love you.

Okay so I've learned a lot today.

Also this episode much like the fireworks one made me..

Very uncomfortable. But even more so than that one did.

This episode was just......really fucking sad man.

First off:

None of the gems seemed to like Greg so far (Except Amethyst) but Pearl especially seemed particularly not very fond of him. I kinda didn't think much about that. I just assumed it was because "Greg is a slob & Pearl doesn't like that he's a slob." And honestly given his current state in the show rn, I ain't exactly too fond of the man either. Though the winter episode definitely made me like him more.

But uh....now I'm starting to think Pearl's distaste for him isn't as simple as that. Because Pearl....

This whole episode Pearl was being like....

So idk what happened that led to Rose vetting with Greg but yeah, suddenly I'm realizing Pearl disliking Greg is definitely a case of her being....

It actually makes the fact she's the one trying the hardest to be Steven's mother make more sense & honeslty it makes her even more sympathetic. He's the closest thing she has left of Rose & the fact she's so caring & all just....if Rose had to sacrifice herself for Steven to exist, the fact Pearl isn't resentful towards Steven at all for that is so nice. Because it'd be so easy for the writers to just have her be like that for cheap drama but no, they don't. Thank you for that writers. That's so wise to avoid that bullshit bc I'd hate this episode if they went that direction....look idk how to word this rn but damn Pearl has some serious emotional issues. And Amethyst had some trauma reveal a few episodes ago too....

So if this pattern continues....

Guys I don't even know if I want to find out what fucked up shit Garnet is going through because I feel like hers is probably gonna be the most fucked up of the lot. Like I don't even think I WANT to find out what shit she's carrying in her head. I mean....like, fuck all of these people need therapy & a hug.

Neither of y'all are in ANY position to be acting all high & mighty. Pearl just SAID something but you straight up fucking used your transformation magic to torment a man about his dead wife. You don't have any fucking high ground here girl. Garnet is the only one of you that has any room to be acting above it. She hasn't done anything like that so far so she's the only one that gets to talk shit. Sit tf down ma'am.

ahem, anyways Amethyst was being shitty too just a bit ago. And like I said then: when you're that mentally fucked it leads to that kinda behavior. It's not an excuse but it does mean you know there's a legit reason for why they'd act out like this. And it's not entirely their fault that they have a tendency to be that irrational. But Pearl, like Amethyst, you can tell she felt remorse.

Again, the way they resolve it without a drawn out argument...but instead it's just Pearl openly showing her vulnerability & Steven just showing her a sign of affection. No argument. No yelling. Just a genuine moment of sincere emotion. Steven understood. While what she said was horrible, he gets why she said it. They both miss her. But they have eahcother. I am going to fucking sob typing this oh my god.

Yeah this episode made me cry a lot. Absolutely stellar episode. And the ending was just beautiful.

Further cementing the fact that Pearl is my favorite. I can't wait to see how much the show uses her emotional baggage to rip my heart in half & stomp on it mercilessly.

Second best episode of the entire show so far. Only just slightly behind 'On The Run'. (That one just hit me on a more personal level so it still has my heart by the throat.)

i feel really similarly re: your answer to the ask about leafs fans. one thing that genuinely annoys me to no end is how people don’t seem to realize that a lot of the hate/negativity that surrounds the leafs is literally a direct byproduct of other fanbases seeing how awful “fans” of the leafs themselves talk about the team and its players 😭 like uncles will complain about all the disrespect the leafs get but if supposed fans of the team constantly broadcast themselves ripping into players then why wouldn’t fans of other teams think they have a free pass to repeat the same talking points lol. steve dangle making an entire career off exactly that and still being popular within the fan base speaks for itself. it’s just irritating that every single widely held (obviously baseless) criticism about the players like about mitch and his character or jt not being captain material or the core not caring etc etc etc literally began from fans themselves like that’s so sad to me lol

First off, I do not generally read fics with them, so that's probably why I cannot relate💀 but the thing is that fandomwise, it's just really annoying whenever ppl r like "wdym tw/st isnt an otome game *gestures to some generic Malleus quote*" like I've seen ppl calling this game an otome bc Malleus offered to let Yuu ride on his broom .

Like theres 1939593204 more near explicitly romantics lines in this game and u choose the one where this guy offers to let u ride on his equivalent of a bike ?? Rook literally calls Yuu "Love" at one point they r more canon to me and I dont even LIKE Rook like that

I do think that theoretically they could be a great ship bc isekai protag who is just some guy and an ancient fae who does not know of friendship is honestly such a good dynamic. But that is only theoretically because most content I see of that ship turns Malleus into just...Yaoi Boyfriend. Like idk how to explain it💔

Malleus in canon is a very selfish person and while I do believe he cares for Yuu, I also believe that he cares for his own desires more. I don't think he's learned to properly care or put others above himself, and that's what makes him fascinating (also given the events of ch 7 so far...). But in interpretations of that ship, he's just watered down to Yuu's bf, and bc Yuu is his first friend, he just suddenly became obsessed with them and has a soft spot for them or sumn

I think that Yuu's relationship with Malleus isn't as deep or close as a lot of the fandom portrays it to be. Malleus does not hang around Yuu as often as adeucegrim, and as far as I'm concerned, they r only as friendly as friends could be on a surface level. Yuu is one of the only people unafraid to speak to Malleus, so of course Malleus isn't going to be hostile towards them, but that doesn't mean that Malleus is going to have a heart to heart and hold hands and become bffs with them.

He's just happy someone's open to talking with him💀 and considering Yuu comes with a set of Interesting Circumstances, it's no wonder Malleus takes interest in them a little more than he would any other student. But that interest is once again just fueling his own curiosity and desires, it's not because he has any particular feelings for Yuu as a person

Sorry for rambling but in conclusion, I think they r theoretically good together and I'd be open to shipping them if they werent shoved down my throat 24/7 and mischaracterized in 4 different directions

i was on pinterest and saw a whisper that said "idk why yall hate on shinobu, she's literally such a well-written character" and i was like YES PREACH but there was this one comment that said,

be quiet. shinobu drank that poison to assist kanao in killing douma. kanao went along with the plan, and she was fully aware that she had to fight douma for as long as she could until shinobu's poison came into effect. kanao and inosuke together are most definitely strong enough to take on an upper moon demon, though they would've been killed if it wasn't for shinobu's poison. shinobu was HELPING THEM. if shinobu hadn't sacrificed herself, inosuke and kanao would've died, douma would've lived and prob killed the other butterfly mansion girls, and most importantly, tanjiro would've permanently become a demon bc kanao wouldn't have been here to inject the drug into him. shinobu sacrificed herself for the sake of the people that she cared about. the butterfly mansion girls were def sad at her death, but keep in mind that shinobu played a pivotal role in the destruction of demons and kanao and inosuke would not be alive if it weren't for her.

people who say that obviously don't know what happened to her in the past. her sister was killed by douma, and before she died, kanae had told shinobu "i wish you would smile more often, your smile is beautiful". after kanae's death, shinobu always wore a smile so that her juniors and the butterfly mansion girls would've had to worry about her. she's in a near-constant state of anger, but she masks it all behind a smile. you think its annoying? you think its easy to get over your only family's death? you think she's a loser for only wanting the best for her juniors? well, congratulations, you are certified as the most stupid person to exist. you try having to live through the death of your beloved parents, sister, and juniors. if you don't love your family then imagine someone you care for the most getting killed. do you think you could always have a smile on your face after that? shinobu isn't strong physically but she sure does have the strength to not crumble under pressure and sadness.

shinobu is a very well written character and i respect the author of kny for creating her. if you're going to hate her for no valid reason, i suggest you think again.

HI ITS ME. GUY WHO HAS A LOT OF THOUGHTS ON MEAT!ROXY. despite how i. admitedly dislike how they HANDLED meat roxy, i cant help but hold a certain... appreciation? fur transmasc roxy. i dont know a lot of canon transmasc characters. most of the time the people i s33 even headcanoned as transmasc-... dont match my experiences. roxy has ALWAYS been my favorite. i love her xomplex relationship with rose and addiction and her friends. i could rel8 to being- idk if hyperfem is the word but? before i transitioned i was deff a very girly-girl. and in my early transition stages i really thought i was faking bc no one ever made content with characters like that./ i love roxy so much, and it was so nice to see my fave character being canonically transmasc, and it reely hurts to see people constantly talking aboat how much they HATE it. i get it! i get how much it sucks to have a popular hc invalidated! but... transmasc roxy has always meant a lot to me- in ways i cant explain w/o delving into some personal stuff. idk, i just. sighs. this came out a lot less coherrent than id like, but even tho i have troubles with how hs2/the epilouges were handled... i reely did like that. i think hs2 is a compilation of good ideas and wasted purrtential, and i wishmore ppl would try and explore that instead of writingmit off and criticizing efurryone who wants to engage in it

Yeah. The handling is definitely one of the biggest factors that ruins it. A lot of Post-Canon is hugely mishandled, and meat!Roxy is no exception to this. The other biggest factor that ruins it is that it was put in official material.

I obviously don't hate the idea of a hyperfeminine person realizing they're transmasculine, or a hypermasculine person realizing they're transfeminine. Those are real experiences that people have, and they deserve to be touched upon. People with those experiences get very, very little representation. I said this before, but I have no ill feelings towards people who like meat!Roxy. It lines up with some people's experiences more than some other portrayals of transition, and therefore some people will gravitate towards it because of its rare factor of relatability to them.

The thing about it is that the writers were never going to get the handling of it right. The Post-Canon writers are not good at their job, they have too much to live up to, and it really seems as though the move was made to spite that widely accepted notion that Roxy is a trans girl- something that has some very real backing within the text of canon. Transmasculine Roxy... Isn't an inherently bad idea! It really isn't. But it is a bad idea to not only confirm a character's previously up-in-the-air birth sex- something that directly goes against one of the most widely accepted transfeminine headcanons of all time- and then proceed to make that character trans in the other direction... While completely sucking the soul out of that character.

Transmasculine Roxy is a fine idea. It's just not one that's able to ever be comfortably explored in a piece of official material. It's perfectly okay for fanworks and personal interpretation, but it doesn't have a sound place in canon just due to the optics of it. It's just too contrarian. And while some people may not care, a lot more people will, and a lot more people do. Too many people care for it to be a good idea to canonize in any regard, no matter what level of eggshells the writers walk on.

And while that may seem like an apocalyptically grim statement to make... That really is just how writing for an audience works. It might suck sometimes, but it's how it is.

TL;DR: Yeah, you liking meat!Roxy is completely valid and I do not blame you whatsoever. More power to you! Major respect! It was just massively fucking mishandled, and handling it at all in official material was just a bad idea. It was a concept that was most likely born out of spite, and destined to fail. Justice for transmasc!Roxy, by the way. Why the fuck did they turn Roxy into an entirely different character? All the charm of Roxy's character was really just lost the moment they made 'em transition. That's one of my least favorite tropes ever. I hate it here.

Okay so like not to talk about Dark and Jackie again but I actually wanna elaborate on their dynamic because I have this really funny picture of them in my head. So like Jackie talks a big game about hating Dark. Really does not like or trust that guy. Maybe they've beat the shit out of eachother a few times, who's to say. Here's the thing, I think Dark couldn't give less of a shit. I think at most he thinks of Jackie as being an occasional nuisance, but also as being occasionally useful. I think he like shows up to Jackie's secret hideout (bc of course he knows where tf it is Jackie is terrible at hiding shit), knocks on the door all polite and shit, and Jackie answers and is like "Dude wtf you can't just show up here, you're not supposed to know where I am, we're enemies!!" And Dark just walks in like "Yeah, yeah, 'enemies', anyways so Anti is being a nuisance-" bc he knows Jackie will take care of it because Anti is like the only person he hates more than him.

I really don't think Dark is particularly hostile towards any of the other egos by default, unless of course they're getting in his way at any given time. I think that's definitely another place he clashes with Jackie, because I've recently fallen in love with the headcanon that Jackie and Actor!Mark would be friends, bc Jackie bought his whole sob story about being a tragic hero and Dark isn't exactly one to come in and rationally explain things, so that misconception has just never been cleared up. And, again, the parallels Jackie has drawn in his head between Dark and Anti aren't exactly making him keen on listening to Dark at any point anyways.

On the other hand, I think it's rare that Dark is generally openly friendly with many of the other egos either. He's polite, y’know, but he's not exactly looking to be buddies. there's Wilford obviously. And I think he'd get along really well with The Host, actually. He's got this thing about control, so I feel like he'd be really drawn to The Host's narration, an attempt to get a leg up in his plans, stay one step ahead. And I think The Host, having had a similar history with an obsession with control (I am a Host was the Author truther) is happy to help guide Dark in the right direction as long as he's not directly interfering with the story. I feel like he'd give really good advice too, maybe steer Dark towards letting go a little bit.

Other than that I think, maybe surprisingly, that he'd be on pretty good terms with Schneeplestein. Like, Henrik is the only one of Jack's egos who has a direct line of communication with Dark type get along. Like. They catch up over the phone regularly type of get along. I am completely serious. I think Dark likes having at least one ear on the inside of Jack's egos and Henrik is happy to have someone of a bit higher elevation to talk to. Maybe Dark occasionally funds his practice in exchange for information. Who's to say. I think Dark absolutely went to Henrik with all the worm hole stuff after Space.

I think Henrik definitely doesn't exactly share that connection with Jackie all things considered, since he's kind of already walking a fine line with the guy considering the occasional moral ambiguity of his work. He's not looking to be seen as a traitor in any sense in addition.

I think the Jims would follow Jackie around a lot. He'd be in the middle of crime fighting shit and they come in like lost puppies and fuck it all up trying to interview him. He broke his rule of avoiding Wilford at all costs to talk to him to try to get them to stop and it Did Not Work. Maybe he pawns them off on Chase or Marvin eventually.

I think that Chase and Dark would actually get along okay. I have this personal headcanon that Damien had a soft spot for kids when he was alive that kind of carried over to Dark, so I think he'd feel for Chase a little, maybe be particularly polite when they run into eachother, be willing to do a bit more for a bit less in return. He'd never admit it though.

This whole paragraph is just gonna be a bunch of my headcannons about the Markiplier TV crew. I love the idea that Bim's show got canceled bc of. Well. All of it. And the reason he's at Markiplier TV is because Wilford was the only one who would hire him. He's absolutely a fucking suck up about it. Illinois was on his show once and they had a similar dynamic to his dynamic with Matthias in Hire My Ass. Ed brings it up to this day. Ed and Bim are regularly at eachothers throats ("Mr. 'It was only one cannibalism accusation' over here-" "OH! Says the man who's been publicly, UNSUCCESSFULLY, trying to sell his son for the last DECADE-"). They beat the shit out of eachother in the breakroom and Yancy joins in just cause he likes a good fight. And also maybe a little bc he hates Ed's whole deadbeat dad thing. Bing thinks he's friends with Bim but Bim just hasn't figured out how to avoid him around the office. I think Bing is like solely in charge of public relations on the station. And Google fucking can not stand it. Because somehow Bing has the most human understanding of how they all come across to other people out of any of them, and Google 'I have all the data in the world' Iplier, is pissed because be thinks he could do that job easy. He could not. Which is why he works as Dark's assistant, doing stuff that his more logical, inhuman focus is actually helpful with. You might be surprised to learn that Jim News is actually the most successful program to come out of the network. So was everyone else at the network. All of the other hosts fucking hate this fact and refuse to acknowledge it. The Jims couldn't care less. They don't even realize they're the highest rated.

Also I barely watched young justice aside from his eps and like 2 others for lagoon boy bc i don't care about it too much - so it's more about him and his interactions with you. Hope that's ok!

Ps I inserted my brain damage hc near the end. Hope I wrote that alright b/c I'm always nervous when it comes to this sort of thing.

• first off Psimon is a sucker for praise and compliments, through and through. If you tell him he's pretty, or that you like his voice, that he's smart or even just that he smells nice he's already obsessed with you. Not really out of insecurity, it's just that he doesn't hear this often, so when he does it's Special to him. He'll be thinking about it all week.

• if he has a crush on you, he's subtle about it. if you're on the same team, all you'll notice is that he's a bit more protective now, and that he seems to praise you more often than anyone he works with. it leaves you wondering, but its not enough for you to say for sure that he's interested.

• despite the psychic skills, he wouldn't scout your mind to know how you feel about him. He might not have this respect for anyone else, but he believes it'd be a horrendous breach of privacy. He'll know your feelings when the time comes.

• speaking of, when it comes to confessing, Psimon is succint and to the point about it. Not to say he's blunt or callous - he's just not the type to do anything too over the top, at all. A simple "I need to talk to you in private", taking you somewhere secluded, and stating his feelings is the most he'll do about it. He's sweet and direct - there's no reason hiding his feelings anymore, is there?

• not the biggest on PDA and isn't very touchy feely in public, but that doesn't mean he'll shy away when you hold his hand – that's mean! He lets you do what you want, but might complain if you get a little Too affectionate. He's not rude, just establishing his boundaries.

• but when you're in private? He's all over you. He loves being held, physical touch means the world to him. Going against his detached and intimidating persona, Psimon just Loves peppering your face with kisses whenever you're alone (and loves it when you do the same to him!), cuddling, and just generally touching you at any given time. He's a sweetheart behind closed doors, it's a delight.

• call me an idealist or whatever, but I do think he'd like anything domestic. If he has a choice between going out and staying home, he'll prefer staying home. Loves it when you two cook together and try out new recipes you won't share with anyone else. There's much to be said about the simple pleasures of spending a rainy afternoon cuddling your boyfriend on the couch while you watch The Princess Bride for the 80th time, as opposed to the usual hectic life of crime you deal with every other day, and god he Loves those moments spent with you. You're all his for the day, and he wouldn't have it any other way.

• not one to argue if you do want to go out, though. Everyone gets bored of spending all day inside their own house, even if you're on break. Psimon prefers taking you to a modest restaurant -nothing too flashy, but nothing too simple either- since he can very easily use his powers to help you two blend into the crowd. However, he won't oppose too much to something like a visit to the local amusement park - just a warning that he gets motion sick quite easily!

• on a more serious note; despite his best efforts, Psimon still has memory and cognitive issues you'll have to get used to. It's nothing major, but it's easy for him to forget your birthday or anniversary, and certain things that felt like second nature now take a conscious effort, which is frustrating for him. Of course that's not to say I think less of him when writing this, or that you would, for that matter - but it is a source of insecurity for him. The environment and people he's surrounded with don't help, there isn't much space for special accomodations in his line of work, sadly. Either you're good at what you do or they get rid of you. I could go on and on about this specific headcanon but I'll cut it short here before I take too much of your time - just know that he's not 100% what he was in the past, and some things are more difficult nowadays. Please be patient.

God. I could go on and on about this guy despite, like all of us, having little to no material to base myself on. I'm just starving and spend too much time thinking about mr transparent brains kissing a weird lizard guy homosexually. It's all I can do to satiate my Hunger, and brother I am Starving.

I guess you're new around here, bc i've be reblogging about Nope for a whole year now. If no one comes to my inbox asking me to tag for spoilers, then I don't. From the lack of response it seemed like no one following me really cared about the movie to not want to be spoiled.

I understand if you're feeling a little put out bc you think i've ruined any viewing plans you might've had but lemme let you in on a little secret:

spoilers don't ruin good movies

because a good movie is an experience. And there's a difference between knowing what happens and actually watching through it and getting the full context. I didn't see A New Hope until like 2017 but I've known since I was like 5 that Vader was Luke's father (Star Wars spoiler, i guess??) Knowing the facts of the story didn't take away from my enjoyment of the Original Trilogy bc they're good movies.

So if you had any interest in seeing Nope, I would still recommend it to you. Because nothing I posted just now spoils the acting range, the incredible soundtrack and sound design, the perfectly placed humor, or the phenomenal directing. And if I'm being honest there's gotta be some kind of irony directly related to the fact that someone on anon is coming to me about spoilers for a movie ive been obsessively blogging about that deals with the nature of media consumption and audience interaction and the lack thereof but it's 7 in the morning on a Saturday so im off the clock

i saw your post on drachenlord from march last year and the consensus amongst us german ppl is that he "deserves" it bc hes genuinely antisemitic, racist, pedophilic and an unpleasant person,,, he claimed hiroshima was "a pretty nice thing" for example... people that first have the displeasure to know him DO feel sorry for him, however as you start to know more about him that empathy for him fades as you realize that he rlly does deserve it

Just for context, I am German myself, and you are not convincing.

For one, I have no idea whether you are telling the truth. First, you're on anon, so you could be anybody. And the fact that you care so much about the topic that you're digging up year-old posts from random folks on the internet makes me doubt your intentions.

I am aware that he said some very nasty things. Perhaps even the things you're claiming, who knows. Even if, does he actually believe these things, or was he goaded into saying them by the people who made hating him their entire life? I don't know, and I doubt you'll give me an honest answer, but that is rather relevant.

But also, on the other hand, it is completely irrelevant, because even then, I don't see how he deserves a constant hate mob outside his house, doxxing, all sorts of surprisingly elaborate plans to humiliate him, attacks on his family and neighbours and such. I'm all for strongly disagreeing with people, but anyone can see that this has gone beyond disagreement. It's just entertainment for the perpetrators. There's a reason why it's called "Drachengame", after all.

This becomes very obvious in comparison. This dude is just some guy on the internet. He doesn't have power or cultural influence. He isn't a politician or a thought leader or whatever. There are plenty of people in Germany who have truly terrible opinions and hold them with conviction. These people are actively working towards making the world worse for everyone. If you want to find themgo through the list of political parties, alphabetically, and they're right there at the top. I am not saying anyone should form constant hate mobs outside the houses of leading AfD politicians and make their lives a living hell, because I think saying that might be a crime; but if someone went ahead and did that, I certainly wouldn't cry. But the mob isn't going after them, it's going after some guy, because he's funny when he's angry, and that tells us something.

Note also that if we ignore all human dignity arguments (Grundgesetz §1, give it a read sometimes), and go strictly utilitarian, then it's also clear that it's not working. He hasn't stopped saying horrible things (prompted or not). The thing he probably does "deserve" is being ignored and forgotten, but instead, he has become famous all over the country.

That's not a mistake, that's by design. The harassment campaign isn't trying to get him to stop, it's trying to make him worse, because that's fun. All that stuff about "he's a terrible human being", even if true, isn't the point, it's just what the harassers use to justify their inhumane behaviour.

And if all of this sounds like I'm very hostile towards you, I'm sorry, it's just because the only thing I know about you is that you're a terrible human being. If you're not too far gone, then please, take a moment and think: Is all of this harassment working? Are its methods suitable for reducing hate and such on the internet? Is all this energy directed at the right person? And are these methods valid at all, or just fundamentally inhumane? I think the answer to all of these is clearly no.

Ok ok so i was really bored at work so i have many thoughts on the 3 adult cartoons I've watched so this is gonna be a long post but i figured Tumblr would be the place that would be most likely to be appreciated (and feel free to add on to it or agree or disagree if any one has thoughts on it as well, I'd live to hear it)

First up we have the Simpsons!! First adult cartoon i watched, heard it referenced my whole life by my family so it's just a classic to me. I've seen it so many times and it is by far the funniest of the 3 I've watched. There are good one liners, the bits tend to not go on too long, and there are SO many funny things i could talk about them for so long. A few examples would be when there's a character change (like armin tamzarian/seymour skinner and fit tony becoming fat tony) and then it almost never gets mentioned again. The characters do have flaws but you can see throughout the seasons that they at least overall care about each other and try to do good and all that, which makes the show more enjoyable. There are many recurring characters and the show occasionally delves into their lives leaving us with funny bits like steamed hams, and from the newest season where it's "revealed" that martin prince is actually a cop undercover. I think the show dropped in quality sometime around season 20, that's not to say there aren't good episodes, but it just wasn't as good, however in the recent seasons (especially 33) it's started to get good again in my opinion. It's just funnier and better storylines again. Another thing that i think the Simpsons does well is their celebrity cameos, those end up being pretty funny and my favourite is Leonard Nimoy's because the comedic timing of his lines and also I'm biased because i like star trek. In general i think the Simpsons is a really really good show because of the humor and character dynamics.

Second up we have Bob's Burgers, which i watched as background noise at first but then i found i actually really enjoyed it. This is a show with a great family dynamic imo, it's very clear that the characters love and care about each other very much, there isn't much strife in Bob and Linda's marriage as a plot point and that's good because i really enjoy watching characters that i can root for. This show isn't as funny as the Simpsons but! they have very interesting storylines so it still works as a plot based show rather than a mostly humor based show. The musical numbers are always interesting, because it seems to be more original stuff whereas the Simpsons usually is parodying an irl musical or something. When singing is a plot point like they're putting on a musical in the show the characters don't usually sing very well, but if they randomly sing about their feelings then it's pretty much in tune which i think is good because it would be a struggle to watch them do whole songs grossly out of tune. The characters are well developed throughout the seasons and even though they're flawed they're still very compelling because usually they have good motivation. All in all i love this show dearly and though it's not quite as good as the Simpsons imo, it's not far behind.

Lastly we have Family Guy which unfortunately i absolutely hate. These characters are all awful people and they're horrible to each other and it's hard to watch. It's not very funny most of the time, and many of the plots are direct parodies of the Simpsons, which had the potential to be funny but it didn't work bc it wasn't done as well as the Simpsons. They're so mean to Meg for no reason and that's hard to watch because she gets so much hate just for existing. Peter is a characterization of Homer but without any of the redeeming qualities. I had hopes for Lois at first but she ends up being just as bad as the rest of them. There's so much cheating, lying, stealing, and not a whole lot of remorse. This show became background noise for me because if i focused on it then i got angry. One of the episodes that really sealed the deal that i don't like the show is the one where a news reporter falsely befriended Lois to get dirt on her and revealed Lois's sex tape from college. Later in the episode it was shown that Lois and the other cheerleaders in high school had tricked and humiliated this girl, and yet we're still supposed to root for Lois? I think that having been bullied in childhood partially causes my hatred of this show but omg these people are just awful. And it doesn't really make up for it with the humour bc that kind just doesn't vibe with me which sucks because i really want it to so i can participate in the family guy conversations that happen around me sometimes. I also wish i had liked it bc going into it i had high hopes because I like the Orville a lot and it's produced by the same guy. I will say that the star wars parodies were fun to watch because they had the original music by John Williams in there, and in general the music in family guy is very good, i liked the episode where Peter and Quagmire traveled as a singing duo, the one with the whole "train in the water, boat on a track" thing. They also have the most normal voices of all the Fox shows I've watched, so i didn't have to get used to them like the other shows. And they get points for being in New England and having some experiences specific to that area that you don't necessarily see on other shows.

But yeah anyways, i love the Simpsons and Bob's Burgers, and i would've liked to love Family Guy but it just didn't work out that way :/

But one of the symptoms of my disability IS that I physically Can't handle the heat-- my partner has suffered heat stroke in the past as well which also impacts his heat tolerance and I imagine for many other ppl who've suffered the same, they could even be Scared to try this. I'm upset with Washingtonpost. I get that this is what we're dealing with atm and those who can probably should try to increase their tolerance for their own sake, but please don't forget that disabled people who can't do all the same things you can also are facing this crisis. So hearing this Cool Quirky Trick on how to survive daily temperatures of 90+ bc ✨the human body is so amazing✨ isn't going to sit well with us because we don't have the same kinds of spectacular, capable bodies these people have in mind. This is less than a bandaid on a gaping head wound. This is someone telling you that you can go back in the mosh pit if you're careful and listen to your body when your body is telling you you're concussed and bleeding, the music is too loud now, people are Still slamming into you bc they either don't know or don't Care (and it's usually the latter. The guy who did it is trying to steal your wallet btw), and you're scared and just want to go home but should probably be seeing a doctor before you do Anything else because concussions are very serious. as are head wounds.

Anyways, when I see shit like this I want to see them explain to everyone Why this is happening, WHO is doing it, Where they're getting their funding from, and Ways to stop it and to show that we hate this, and how to do your part in the in the meantime. I want fingers pointed and shame cast and blamed declared. I read through the article and I really hate for people to neglect saying What's Going On every chance they get, not everyone is a scientist and that's valid but there Are loads of papers written and documentaries made, all these people need to do is read them and cite them as reliable resources. It feels very tail between the legs bc we're being so heavily impacted, but I need us to be MAD
