Sometimes when Im feeling weak I look at Xie Lian and wish I could be as strong as him. Physically but also mentally. Even after 800 years he still smiles, and even before Hua Cheng found him.

With that being said, I also find comfort in that, once upon a time, even a strong person like Xie Lian truly wanted to die after his life fell apart. A feeling that is so very real and very human.

This man, an ex-god at the time, who we all idolize... even he attempted suicide in his 20s.

And yet he still lived to over 800 to accomplish some pretty amazing things, including (but absolutely not limited to) his third ascension.

Sometimes, if you want a story to tell, you gotta go through hell.

And even the strongest people sometimes wanna throw in the towel.

Don't be too hard on yourself. Your favorite strongest characters took an absolute beating to get to where they are now.

Its a shame nobody talked about it like this but I am still convinced there was all kinds of meta shit going on with the Peacemaker show that was really interesting to ME at least. Like the decision to make two guys that hated each other best friends now, and Adrian specifically being Peacemaker's wacky unhinged sidekick whos obsessed with him when Peacemaker made his intro to DC as a wacky unhinged Vigilante villain who was obsessed with Vigilante. Also I still think everyday about how in the show Peacemaker shot his dad with the same kind of gun that his dad killed himself with in the comics. Like.

Adding @dead-air-demon tags bc this is hilarious, and this is how I want Vox to start hanging out at the hotel. Through the sheer power of lies and Charlie's trust exercises, Vox and Alastor make up. Husk never learns that he was wrong.

Just a silly concept about Husk viewing Alastor and Vox relationship.

Imagine Husk did not know that Alstor and Vox had a fight. That happened right before Alstor disappeared for 7 years, so Husk just did not have a chance to get an update.

So last things he knows is that Alstor and Vox are best pals, practically inseparable. So close, that they could insult each other but never took offense, and laughed at it together.

So when Alstor comes back after 7 years it’s a bit confusing for Husk as to why Alstor is not spending any time with Vox.

And then suddenly they act like enemies and make the whole freaking show about it though the song. And the most logical reasoning, that Husk gets out of it, is that it is their plan to boost both of their ratings up.

So, for the whole time Husk is confident that it is all an image and that Alstor and Vox are still best friends, who fool the public just for ratings and fun. And that is what he tells everyone in the hotel, when they touch the topic.

So soon all the hotel residents just kinda take it for granted, and they start throwing phrases at Alstor which get him really confused.

Like Charlie says they will do another trust exercise, so he can bring Vox as it is ment for ppl who know each other best.

And then Angel mentions how Vox seems too stressed lately and maybe Alstor should get him out for a drink.

And Alstor gets so worked up as to why all of them bring up Vox like it is the most normal thing to do, that he actually goes to Vox to confront him about hypnosis.
