I'm planning on making the background black so all of the outlines will be white, and the H M H || ( U I C B A....) and hands will be white as well, but the PANIC will be a bright red and the lungs'll be a pastel pink with red shading, the spirally thing that's in the middle of the lungs will probably also have some red highlights.

I tried my best to make the lungs look like, idk, like they're being squeezed and going in and are being sucked into the middle of themselves? I don't know how to describe it but I don't think I did it all that well so if you have any suggestions I'd love some, ty

At the top, it's supposed to be a puff of air, but I think it looks more like a brain and so now I'm debating if I should try to do anything with that, or if I should leave it as a puff of air.

I'm probably going to use acrylic or oil paint for this, watercolor doesn't really fit the vibe I'm going for, but I might do the background (black) in watercolor to give some dimension or something

is it ever stated in anyones canon how dream and nightmare feel things like inks emotions?

im guessing not bc ive seen multiple interpretations of this. and im here to pitch in w my own based on a random thought that struck me.

i think theyd be able to feel them, but theyre just. off. like a fake flavor.

like where "authentic" emotions are like, lets say, strawberry flavor, like eating them straight off the runner, inks are more like the strawberry flavor youd get in candy.

and i think thats not really enough for either.

dream cant draw as much power from inks emotions as he would someone else. same goes for nightmare, plus hes not as satisfied sith inks negativity as that of others.

i do, however, like inks emotions being harder to detect for both. its nit that they cant, but its much wispier and easier to miss (especially depending on emotion and intensity)

in a similar vein, i like them not being able to detect killers emotions, but i think they would.

again, its harder. this time, instead of eating the strawberries or something strawberry-flavored, youre standing near a field of them but theres an unscalable fence between you and it so you cant get to them.

killers emotions are, most of the time, extremely diluted. neither twin is able to draw much from them. however, negativity almost radiates off of him. even when he cant really process his emotions, he ends up not feeling great. even though its weak, its steady enough for nm to like and to feed (plus, if he feels like really making a feast out of killer, he can always push him into a different stage)

both twins can detect him, but it takes some concentration. otherwise, he gets lost among the feelings of others.

i think in places like nightmares castle, which is completely overrun by negativity, hes a lot harder to detect. an off-tune thrum in an orchestra of a thousand instruments. occasionally, you hear something off, but its hard to tell above the other noise. similarly, big, populated places mask him well. hes easier to track in small groups (or if its literally only him) or in areas where he would contrast (like a place of only positivity, in which his negativity, no matter how faint, would stick out like a sore thumb)

love my men on some horses. there is surprisingly not much horse action in this drama. i know we do get it next episode, but overall, in comparison to other ancient cdramas, horses are truly only supporting roles here.

OMG I WAS HOPING SO BAD YOUD JOIN. Here we go buckle up and again I’m gonna preface by saying I don’t know what you do for a living or what you plan to, so please take this with a grain of salt—not that this occupation is a very realistic one, anyway HAHA. You’ll see. But just in case you’re someone who prefers a self insert lore that is more true to your real life self, please don’t be offended if this isn’t what you had in mind 🥹🙏 Also if I mansplain anything please forgive me I just know that for a non genshin player sometimes the lore can be overwhelming so I’m trying to make it easy to digest 🙂‍↕️

So personally, I think you’d live in Fontaine and have an electro vision. There’s a couple of really important things to note since you’re not too familiar with genshin lore:

Fontaine is the nation of justice, and their archon is the God of Hydro. Essentially each nation is ruled over by a God who wields a certain element and is known for a principle of sorts—so Mondstadt is the nation of anemo and freedom, Liyue is the nation of geo and contracts, Inazuma is the nation of electro and eternity, Sumeru is the nation of dendro and wisdom, and so forth. So each God that presides over each nation has their specific element and typically, in my eyes, a vision wielder getting their element means they have a tie of sorts to the nation’s principle and that’s why they were chosen for that element. If that makes sense.

That being said, electro is from Inazuma and Inazuma is known for eternity. I interpret electro vision wielders to be individuals who dedicate their lives to one a specific goal entirely. So for example, Cyno is the general mahamatra who is essentially a high ranked police officer and his entire goal is always to seek out and serve justice as he investigates things. There’s a character named Dori whose entire goal is always centered around profiting and making money. There’s a character named Kujou Sara who’s pledged loyalty to her god and her whole goal is to fulfill her duties as a government official of sorts. And I could keep going ofc HAHA but the main thing to note is that each of these individuals tend to have one specific ambition that they focus on, and it’s very very very crucial to their character and their daily lives. The reason why that’s specific to electro and eternity is because they’re not exactly “short term” goals, they’re very very life long goals or are based on principles that are “eternal.” Justice, money, and loyalty are respectively the hearts of the goals for the characters I mentioned, and those are all eternal concepts.

So with all that being said, I think that someone who gets an electro vision has to be someone who a) has a very dedicated and ambitious goal that they are passionate about and willing to allow to consume their daily life very drastically. And b) has a goal that is based around a “concept” or belief that is eternal.

I think you would get an electro vision because I see you as a duelist in the Court of Fontaine. I’ll explain that as well since you’re not very familiar with Fontaine sjdjdj

But basically in the Fontaine court, if you’re standing on trial, you are allowed a chance to duel from one of the court’s champion duelists in exchange of your innocence. If you win, you’re set free, and if you lose then you will have to stand trial—but there’s also a chance you could lose your life in this duel, as well. So like I said, I think you’d be one of the champion duelists in court. I have to be honest, I had this idea because of that comm you had with Moze where you’re fighting that beast head on, but I think you’d be very cool as a person who is skilled in combat in your lore. But I like to think that your vision would come about during your training to become a duelist. Maybe in struggling through your training or being told by people in your life not to pursue this line of work, regardless of what the reason would be, it would be because you are very persistent in training and becoming capable for this goal of yours—and mainly because you wish to be a part of the justice system because you hold justice very near and dear to your heart. The goal being rooted in justice is an “eternal” idea, so I think you’d be chosen to wield electro. I also think you’d be a sword user because champion duelists do use swords, but I hope you don’t mind that jadkdjd bc I rmr your selfship art having a bow and arrow.

But regardless, I really really liked the idea of you seeing yourself as skilled in combat through your comm, and I also think Fontaine’s aesthetic and style of life would fit you super well, so the court’s champion duelist seemed like a no brainer to me! Plus generally speaking, compassion and resolve are at the heart of someone who pursues a job that revolves around justice, so I think this occupation would be a good mix of “eternity” and “justice” both, and that’s why I think electro wielder specifically in Fontaine seemed most Evie core. Firstoff i made the design because of a handful of fics which i read and stupidly forgot to save . Namely the one where he died for alastor, angelic interference, and the one where they made a fuckup on the books. (Ill get back when i find their names) . I just wanted to make the design for the sake of it and try to make his looks fit heaven and also my interpretation of vox, so hes intended to look almost like a character youd see on an old tv show but a bit more suave. I also wanted a space age head because i mean thats The Period of innovation and while there were certainly similar designs while he was alive its more symbolic of progress than actual progress. Then my brain started doing its thing and when i start thinking about anything for more than five seconds i get a bunch of pins and red string and become a full blown theorist who needs to connect everything to worldbuilding or ill die

my angel vox.

Point the first! this isnt a vox goes straight to heaven, its canon divergence. Vox dies, goes to hell, and at the peak of his messy hell career he dies again and goes to heaven. Vox is not redeemed.

2. Vox is powerless. Heaven equalises people. It has rules, a lot of rules, and these are sown straight into their reality which cant be broken. He does however have free will and a silver tongue.

3. I think vox and sera would get along surprisingly well when it came to it. Sera is a 'tough love' sort of character, and does believe shes doing good in spite of it all, and is willing to do lesser evils. Vox cares about nothing but numbers and outcomes. This means that if they share a goal a lot of their approaches would also be shared, and i think theyd be fond of that.

4. Vox despises heaven. Just the fundamental concept of it. He does enjoy a struggle and he does enjoy pain, thats the point of being alive to him. Or well. dead. Its an uphill battle but its his uphill battle to fight. Also he just needs something to keep him occupied at all given times or he might just snap #adhd

4a. He also hates the residents, mostly because of very well earned trust issues how its not fun to talk to any of them. They just say whatever theyre thinking, no song and dance, no fine print, and vox loves fine print and searching for hidden meanings.

5. Emily is nice and almost tolerable but he would absolutely throw her off a bridge if it benefited him without second thought. He hates how much of a bleeding heart she is, but that seems to be a trait of everyone up there

6. Vox's relationship with himself is a complex mess. It always has been and heaven made it worse. Not only did it revert his body to how it was when he first fell but Angel Edition, hes barely mechanical anymore- and while being a good part machine was all part of hells punishment at the start for various psyche reasons (as well as how inconvenient it was) he had grown to worship and love his inorganic nature, and how much better it was than his faulty body . I have headcanons about that but that falls under spoiler territory for Said Fic. But heaven handing him back his flesh and blood is a massive massive violation of his boundaries and the moment he stops and actually starts thinking about what the hell has happened hes gonna break

7. The vees think vox is dead dead. Angel!vox would... have a strained relationship if he were to meet like that. On one hand, hes vox! Their vox! But like this he can't be his usual overlord self and while he trusts them enough to view them as friends, he wouldn't be able to face them as partners like this; business or otherwise. Hes horribly powerless and they need him on his A game.

i think its cool!! i like reinjuli and julisuba and reinsuba a lot on their own so combining it could be really fun i think :o !! you could take it in different directions, because i think if those three started working through their issues (like. reinhards monster complex... julius's own issues involving reinhard in particular... subarus long laundry list of issues... etc etc etc) they could work in a more wholesome way!! and they genuinely care a lot about each other of course. if you developed them enough i could see this being like a 100k slowburn pining friends/rivals to lovers, fluff and angst with a happy ending, etc etc LMAO T^T i think that they potentially could be great together if you interpreted them romantically of course and if they developed to that point!!

but also i have terrible ideas anon are you ready. okay i think itd be really funny if they were in a complete love triangle. as in, subaru likes julius who likes reinhard who likes subaru. and then they can all be horribly dumb about their pining for each other and then gradually grow feelings for Other members of the love triangle. and then its like a jealousy triangle too where literally all three of them are like "do i wanna be him or be with him". this is clear for julius and subaru in canon but for reinhard i think itd be in a quieter way. like "subaru is very unreadable and enigmatic but everyone likes him and people dont really call him a monster :(( and grandfather likes subaru.... im happy for subaru!!!! feeling a bit bad about it is unbecoming of me :<< after all i am a monster hahahah". because. yeah i mean both julius and subaru call reinhard a monster just like everyone else in reinhards life. :<< rip reinhard.

Do you have thoughts about Dirk and Jake's relationship in canon? I am not anti dirkjake but I do have a hard time understanding the ship and why it's so massively popular. /gen (I have not yet read the epilogues so I'm just working off of whats in the comic)

Oh boy. DO I. Im currently working on a powerpoint presentation thatll be a little guide/recap/compilation.. thing about them whilst im reading act 6 and ill post it whenever i finish rereading the comic and writing all my notes! It will go into all the little bits of dialogue about eachother or narrative ties to certain things and such and such. (Will probably post this some time in the next two months or three. no guarantees)

The portrayal of their relationship and who they are and their struggles felt so real to me and it constantly astounds me that theres a fictional character who accurately displayed my own struggles in such a sincere way i feel like im getting put on blast when people psychoanalyise jake english orz

Homestucks character writing and thematic paralleling are some of its best assets and dirkjake are FULL of some of homestucks greatest moments of both. I would say that this post from @/tomatograter goes more into detail about those said moments and also alot of the other reasons i like them! And what they said in this post was true!-

-Theres just so much you can explore in homestuck through their relationship and aaaguh i love it i love it and theyre so important to the overall narrative and its just so nice to see openly gay rep that is as realistic and honest as them in a story like homestuck.

Being a teenager myself coming of age stories are the stories i relate to and find captivating the most right now and i dont think ive seen another piece of media go about its teen characters the way homestuck did. Its got problems on the handling of said characters but i dont think ive read anything else as raw and honest about personal issues teens face growing up and how they affect relationships (of all kinds!) and dirkjake are a big part of that for me!

I dont really like majority of fanon interpretations of dirkjake i wont lie (alot of.. flanderisation and blatant mischaracterisation) i dont really keep track of fandom stuff or ship popularity i just like enjoying what i enjoy and drawing things and talking about it with friends haha

And i have not read the epilogues either! i know the gist of the events in each timeline and i read a couple chapters but that was like years ago at this point and i dont think i will ever attempt to read them or homestuck^2. Some of the ideas that were present couldve been interesting but i honestly have no interest in going anywhere near it from what ive read about it. It sounds like a total shitshow and its not required to enjoy homestuck proper anyway so ¯_(ツ)_/¯

speaking of those sibling slideshows i mentioned, for some reason tiktok has filtered them out so when u look them up, they dont show up??? you just kinda get them on ur fyp one day. or atleast thats what happens to me. but if u look up sibling webweaving here on tumblr, ohhh boy. its basically an amalgamation of different types of media be it poetry, song lyrics, shows and movies, and book excrepts all packaged as one that pertain to a theme. my fav is those about mothers and siblings, so unequivocally human. its like walking down a museum tbh.

and agh, i loved your thoughts on the demon bros sibling dynamics. plus yeahhh, its kinda hard to take anything seriously since it is an otome game, BUT who says u cant come up with your interpretations and thoughts? whos gonna stop you? anyway, each brother has a level of depth that is screaming to be fleshed out, but its all very surface level on game. belphegors burdening shame and regret from watching lilith die in front of him, and by extension beelzebub having the same feelings and/or his own guilt. (i remember belph talking about his trauma and the immersion immediately breaks off when an option pops up on the scream, "ask him to kiss you." LIKE. place and time!) asmodeus and lucifer, their entire relationship T_T speaking of which, satan and lucifer?! they're brothers, or say they are and the rest just kinda go with it. but does no one else wanna bring up how satan was even brought to existence? he was literally birthed from luci's wrath during the celestial war. thats like, a gateway for someone to write a long philosophical analysis about him and what it symbolizes. aghhudhwdhwhd i wish i could say more, but i'm literally out of words rn. if i was mc, i'd have to fight everyday to keep it together without breaking down and crying about this. espeically having to live under the same roof as them...ooofff

speaking of complex siblings dynamics, have you see succession? its a show on hbo. its about an ultra rich and powerful family that is ultimately, dysfunctional. theres four siblings and their relationship mean sooo much to me. i wont drop any spoilers just in case you dont know anything, but when i say dysfunctional i meant it!! one of the things i like about this show is that it doesnt have any flashbacks or show the backstories for most of the characters, rather they kinda drop pieces of information randomly and you just go ??? that happened ??? youd think it wouldnt be a good storytelling strategy bc how are you going to emotionally connect the story to your audience? but somehow, the show does it really well. for example, one of the brothers, roman, was heavily abused. and sometimes one of his siblings would go, "yeah i remember when dad used to heavily beat the fuck out of you" offhandedly, like its a cute little fun fact. and youre sitting there like....when did THAT happen??? ofc they wouldnt show it, but if you watch how roman and his father interact on show (roman is so submissive and scared next to his father) it starts to make sense. its like the "show dont tell" but they switch around to "tell and show." subtle interactions like that fully exposes a characters psychology. subtle body language goes a long way. theres also the eldest brother connor, whos seen as the father figure bc their real dad is so neglectful. but tbh connot gets shit on a lot and uuyfuefehfe theres more. i would talk about this all day. sibling angst got me on a chokehold.

Oh man, so I did a search for sibling webweaving and I was like woah what is all this lol. I had no idea there was a term for stuff like this, but I'm fascinated! I must not be getting the TikTok videos... admittedly my use of that platform is limited lol.

The thing about the otome game not delving into things means that we all get to speculate and come up with whatever we want. It's a blessing and a curse lol. On the one hand, I like being able to come up with my own interpretations. But on the other hand, it'd be nice to have just a little more depth that what we have.

I have thoughts about Belphie and specifically what happened in the OG with him. That was definitely a situation of, there is so much more going on here than they're bothering to get into. I also get that they can't really do a ton of that, partly due to the medium and partly due to the amount of characters they have to deal with. Like I think they can only choose to flesh out certain characters and the rest kind of end up on the back burner. Which is annoying because there's so much potential for so many amazing stories!

I also have a lot of thoughts about Satan and his relationship to Lucifer and everybody. It's like they give us just enough to make the story dramatic, but in the end everybody loves each other and so on and so forth. I'm not saying both Satan and Belphie shouldn't be able to reconcile what happened to them and move on, but it just happens so fast. It seems too easy. So I kind of headcanon it as, they hide everything. Not just those two, but all the brothers have a certain level of trauma that they just bury deep or at the very least don't display in front of MC. I know they make MC out to be the demon therapist, but nobody resolves their issues in one session and that's all they're normally limited to. But of course they don't have time to get into things that deeply in a mobile otome game lol.

I have not seen Succession! It sounds pretty intense. I think it's always interesting when media use different techniques to tell their story. Of course I have very little knowledge of how TV scripts are written, but for story writing, the way a character reacts can imply all kinds of past history, even if you don't know exactly what happened. Flashbacks are helpful, but I think it's interesting to have a bit of a mix. A character is always going to tell the story of their past a little differently than how it actually happened. And I find that it can reveal a lot about character just to see what they change or leave out when telling it. Of course, who they're speaking to can affect that as well. But it's definitely an interesting concept!

Quick thoughts on Demo 4 of the Mind Electric:

The demo moreso than the final bridge really digs into major internal distress a lot of folks experience.

Distress about the state of the world,

Distress about your 'selfness' (self doubt, uncertainty, and self hatred),

And distress about those who we really care about.

And all 3 of these get their own section of the demo (and two make some showing in the final version though far more introspective).

The first section laments broadly, via metaphor, on systems of artificial responsibility and untenable conditions folks are trapped in. Introducing that exists then expanding it as a concept also universal to the listener and the authoritative speaker.

The second section is just fully picking apart senses of mental stability. Being caught off guard and flailing to reassure yourself. It has big panic and drowning energy, manifesting in the final line of the section crying out about the felt hopelessness in knowing who we are in times of crisis.

The final section is far more intimate between the listener and the singer. The listener is treated as though their faculties are open to the singer, who finds themself either laughing off what they see or actively put off by it. A strong vibe of incompatibility really resonates on what seems to be a major part of whatever we imagine the relationship between the singer and listener is.

Finally on the laugh and the scream:

I always interpret the laugh as a strained coping mechanism facing what feels like a pointless existence. Though another interpretation is that the laugh is of someone content in the system they are in, and who is maintaining it.

The scream I believe exists to highlight the horrid state of the human condition genuinely can break someone. Even if its not directly making you scream it can feel like you need to. In that vein its also probably a catharsis of having fully come to terms what is causing us distress.

Anyway just an opinion, do let me know if you have anything youd add or change.

UUGHUGUUGHEGH THE WAY HIS MUSIC VARIES YET STILL HOLDS THE SAME ELEMENTS IS SO INTERESTING TO ME??? Kikuo has always experiemnted with music; hell he never properly learned chords or music theory (his high school music teacher said music theory makes songs boring which is lowk so real!!) BUT ive been listening "just wanna xxxx with you" he phantom siita song written and composed by kikuo and you can so clearly hear that. yes. THATS kikuo. I like to anaylyze his different albums and just wanna xxx with you reminds me of a mix of kikuo miku 3 and kikuo miku 6. it also has the instrumental mixes and almost sporaticness of kikuoworld 1 and 2? like that random phonk part for like a few seconds right before the verse after the 1st chorus and AUGH it feels random but it fits so well?? I feel like thats what he does best he is able to mix the CRAZIEST of shit into like??? amazing awesome catchy just mind-blowing music?? (popular example: kara kara). also his unreliable time signatures. it FEELS like 3/4 but sometimes 4/4 THEN SUDDENLY??? ITS IN 6/8???? LIKE HEELLLOOO???? AND THATS SOO EVIDENT IN SO MANY OF HIS SONGS. he tends to lean towards waltz tempos/signatures but he can be sooo unreliable and im CRAZY for that. also very kikuo thing to do his the repitition. he LOVES repeating words. the entire first section for just wanna xxxx with you consists of the girls repeating "oh" (because theyre theyre saying 1, 000,000 and then they say it again but instead its "ichi zero zero zero rei rei rei and UUUGGHHH) and then the entire chorus revolves around the word play with them saying using chuu chuu as kissing and then chi chi chi meaning blood). also kikuo uses a lot of electronics mixed with orchestral stuffs but he never does in a stereotypical violin playing way its always straight to the point and. staccato. he takes advantage of usually soft instruments playing staccato and accented notes, giving the impression of an unexpected twist where its not expected? he has a lot of "twists" in his music. like. the breakcore in "breaking things into pieces" or even twists in the MEANING of the song for example "we should not do bad things" which youd think is about a kid afraid to do bad things because of some sort of trauma from a punishment but NO its about child/human trafficking and the child is saying no to do bad things or they'll be taken "away". thats one interpretation at least. but you werent expecting that, right??? its already known about his dark themes and lyrics but i just think. the way everything is presented. its. oughhhhhhhhhghghgeghehgehughehguehugeghge. i looked through his old blog a while back and researched on PtPD (although i tend to stay away from it for reasons). kikuo had been making music since he was like. what. 14? that blog came about around 2008/2009, so at the time he was not big, he wasn't doing vocaloid, he was still in the game ost era and stuffs- but GOD his blog entries are so intriguing. he did say that during his early or "dark" days, he viewed being "edgy" as a way to gain traction; but that thought process was eliminated soon after. He and Si_ku were already personal friends but he still hadnt combined with her to do like album covers and shit cuz like. he wasnt that big yet. so all his kikuoworld albums, plus any early early songs 2008~2011/12, the illustrations would most likely be his. that was another intrusting thing. the drawings on his blog were sooo. intriguing. it was all intruging i studied that shit like crazy it was. bad. anyways so he was also having personal problems near that time as well (i believe he had just moved into a city area and he was hacing trouble adjusting plus IF i intrepreted one blog entry correctly; there was a fire??? in his apartment at some point???) okay getting off topic here BUT. i feel like that switch from needing to be "edgy" to gain traction to kikuo actually HAVING a good fanbase and being able to just. write whatever. THATS when you notice that shift in music. You could see it more in his 2017-current era. he still- shit i ran out of characters. lmao

wilbur: - stalks your pinterest stalks your moms pinterest stalks your ex friends sister met someone at the club and he kissed her’s pinterest - is SO CONFIDENT he’s got everything right because all his information is form you directly - plans that shit out to a T  - “okay phil at 11:02 am you call y/n and say good morning any plans for the day then tommy at 11:34 am call y/n and ask her if she wants to join you for a vlog at [location]” “dude wil we know lets just get on with it” - chooses somewhere with ambience with music perhaps by the ocean or a river or something - meticulously listens to all of spotify for the perfect song to play in the background - hired james and ash (professionals) to film  -  public proposal wants the world to know that he is wilbur and he loves you -  isnt nervous about proposing but is scared something is gonna go wrong -  the whole build up to the proposal is a blur to him  - he wants it to be perfect - hes mentally checking everything off in his head as it happens - “okay so we arrived on time, check” “we’re standing in the right direction check” - when the time comes to propose he blanks - cause everything went right and now its showtime - says whatever is on his mind and then gets on track - “oh my god everything i alright this is amazing! but i love you dear like a lot and...” - cue cheering from tommy (and a lot of soft smiles from random people) when you say yes
