See I agree with like zero of what Kab was saying, but she did bring up an interesting point about who Zam considers “innocent” players. Because that’s been an issue I’ve had since the beginning with the new oath. Because morality is very complicated and I feel like in this case kab IS innocent because she didn’t go looking for the fight and lost two hearts to him. BUT it’s zams own positive relationship with derap that keeps him from being objective, which is a fatal flaw with the oath in the first place. If Zam cannot be objective about who is or isn’t innocent than the entire oath is useless. And worse it’s debatably impossible to say wether or not people are innocent or evil, because individual ideas of morality is just a subjective thing !!

Anyways this is basically all to say that Zams oath and ideas are fundamentally flawed and it’s a little worrying that he’s so set in these ideas that he refused to listen to Kab on this outright.

Feels like im wading through an overfilled graveyard whenever i have to experience the direction art youtube is going now. Something something algorithm but god it hurts to see people go from making informative videos they're clearly passionate about sharing their knowledge and years of experience with the world for free to putting out "content". Imagine stepping into a university course but suddenly one day your professor is sponsored by faber-castell and every class becomes ways to be a stronger ambassador for the brand. Its becoming harder and harder to find genuine good advice that isnt going to give you a complex about your art not being good enough or that you're doing everything wrong when thats impossible to do because its impossible to make art wrong. Its all $1 vs $100 materials where the end product of each has no informative value in it other than how to force word of mouth marketing. Its all just noise now.

Fully i would pay any amount of money monthly to just have some big name respected artist release long form videos of them silently working in the studio. Thats all i need. It doesn't need to be sleek or clean or structured. I just want to see the materials you use, how you use them, what techniques you employ, and the process to get to a finished piece. It could be shot on a crispy old phone in 480p i dont care as long as i can see whats going on and you're not compromising what you do to try and sell me squarespace or the new oil paints thats just came out.

After that horrific scene on Bracca and Rex manages to save Omega, and after the boys slowly come to, Crosshair, who'd been elbowed hard by a chip-influenced Wrecker, finds himself slowly but surely slipping under the chip's influence. He manages to get this out to his brothers, through gritted teeth and hissed syllables.

Rex stuns him out cold, absolutely zero hesitation - in fact, he's more than a little smug about it (after all he said about Echo and Rex back on Anaxes, it's more than a little deserved.

Understandably, the Batchers all take offense at that because the Captain could've given them at least a warning before he went and did that.

But Hunter's mostly upset because he really really wanted to be the one to stun Crosshair.

There are people in the YT comments of Axl vods who are starting to like, ACTUALLY see the fucking problem (unable to force reliable risk/reward, unable to consistently convert, no pressure reset no routing). I've even seen people start lamenting the fact that games are just not as interesting anymore like YES! THANK YOU! The game was already very simple and watered down; this wasn't necessarily a flaw, but further streamlining characters that are ALREADY streamlined just further exacerbates the lack of depth that people have been complaining about since day 1 of Strive because this game isn't xrd (which I disagree with but I also understand the complaint). Furthermore, you "increased defense across the board" and then BUFFED THE MOVES OF CHARACTERS WHO HAVE BEEN DOING WAY TOO MUCH DAMAGE FOR 3 YEARS!! MAKING LOWER DAMAGE CHARACTERS HAVE TO WIN MORE INTERACTIONS AND TAKE MORE RISKS TO WIN GAMES! WHICH IS THEIR WHOLE ISSUE AND WHY THEY WEREN'T GOOD! AND YOU ALSO TOOK TOOLS AWAY FROM THEM! ARE YOU STUPID? YOU'VE ESSENTIALLY DONE NOTHING! Ugh.
