"All right, Ms. Lola, that is all the information I need from you, I have a few people already in mind to look into for you,” Sanji informed the women sitting across from him sipping a cup of his enchanted slumber tea, the drank sparkly pink was a pretty close match to her aura, it was only missing the swirls of orange and light blue.
“Thank you so much, Sanji! I have terrible luck in love,” Sanji could relate. He was turning twenty-five and made his entire career based on love. Yet here he was still single.
He watched his fish swim around, tonight would be a quiet night in, he would do his best to ignore his shitty love life, Eros had promised that he would find his soulmate, his true love by his twenty-fifth birthday but that was tomorrow and here he was single.
Sanji finally meets Zoro (his soulmate) the night before his 25th birthday.

genshinified them…i wanted to know what zoro would look like with a vision and it devolved from there (first six are splash wips)
bare-bones details/mechanics of how this au would work under the cut hehe
Luffy is a young adventurer who wants to find all the gnoses (reasons unclear), was mockingly called ‘king of the archons’ as a result, then adopted that as his goal. He meets Zoro in Inazuma, where he was imprisoned under the ruling of the Raiden Shogun, and upon temporarily defeating her, they escape with no destination in mind. Nami decides to hitch a ride with them, promising that she’ll navigate their wave rider to the next place they are trying to go. (And they meet Usopp and Sanji and leaves for her hometown in Fontaine to pay off Arlong etc etc)
It follows the main story from then on, except it’s much more condensed (Teyvat is much smaller than the One Piece world), and there’s much more of a spotlight on how archons (and gnoses) work. Devil Fruits, Haki, Points, and other magical combat abilities are condensed into Visions (for the sake of world placement), though Vision strength levels get introduced to accommodate power levels of characters in One Piece.
Anyhow! I’ve thought of all the strawhats’ countries of origin + element + weapons so I’ll list them here: (since I’ve not gotten super far into the anime it’s not perfect (past Robin it gets hazy for me))
- Luffy
* grew up in Mondstadt, nation of origin Natlan, Khaenri’ah (though he doesn’t know nor care)
* has an anemo vision that he activated by grabbing a hollow vision out of a chest the red-haired pirates had found (matches his eating of the devil fruit in canon)
* catalyst user as he can’t fight with weapons well
- Zoro
* grew up in Inazuma
* has a dendro vision that he gained when he promised to become the world’s greatest swordsman with kuina (who already had a pyro vision)
* sword.
- Nami
* grew up in Fontaine, country of origin Inazuma
* gained her (hydro) vision after Arlong took her away and tried to sell it. when that failed, she refused to use it until she was free from Arlong. However, she doesn’t really know how to control her powers until she fights Ms. Double Finger with a spear specially forged for her.
* polearm user, most specially her clima-tact (as she calls it)
- Usopp
* from Mondstadt, father is from Natlan
* gained his geo vision after meeting Onion, Carrot, and Pepper and creating the Usopp Pirates, and he used it to avoid as much trouble as he could—he still usually uses it defensively
* bow user (obviously)
- Sanji
* grew up in Fontaine, born in Snezhnaya
* gained his (pyro) vision not when he tried cooking as a kid in the palace, not on the Orbit, but on the last day of him and Zeff being stranded on the empty island, starving. Zeff had already had a vision then, and it solidified his choice to take the kid in and teach him cooking
* he fights with his legs. catalyst
- Chopper
* from Snezhnaya
* got his cryo vision when he tried to help an injured member of his reindeer pack, which changed him into more of a humanoid reindeer hybrid, leading to him being ostracized until he met Hiluluk, a doctor
* bow user, to mimic the sniping function of brain point. other points function as his elemental skill and burst
- Robin
* from Snezhnaya, but has been in Sumeru for the last few years
* got her vision as she learned to read Khaenri’ahn, which then made her an outlaw
* catalyst user—her attacks make organic mimics of hands, formed by flowers and vines
- Franky
* grew up in Fontaine, country of origin Mondstadt
* got his (electro) vision when apprenticed to Tom as a shipbuilder
* claymore user because in-story he’d be the only character who would be able to use one comfortably
- Brook
* from Mondstadt
* gained his anemo vision when he was about to die on an island near Fontaine, and somehow it kept him alive, blowing food and causing rain storms constantly to where he was stranded (the strawhats have contemplated whether he has a gnosis on him)
* sword user! with great elemental mastery
- Jinbe
* from Inazuma
* gained his hydro vision almost immediately after seeing the ocean for the first time (he was born as a youkai and lived right next to the ocean so it was rather soon after he was born)
* polearm user, and is partial to tridents
BONUS:
- Ace
* grew up in Mondstadt, countries of origin Natlan, Khaenri’ah
* got his pyro vision when he got shipwrecked and stranded on an island after leaving Mondstadt
* is also a catalyst user
- Vivi
* from the desert portion of Sumeru, though has been traveling around Teyvat in disguise
* got her geo vision after fighting Kohza but doesn’t find it useful at all (she wishes she had a hydro vision and is confused as to why Nami rarely uses hers…irony)
* her assigned weapon is a polearm (the peacock feather whips do not have a direct translation into the game, which is frustrating)
If you read all of this, oh boy (and also thanks!)

Roronoa Zoro, O-67 ~ Mirror Sex
Summary: Drabble of kinky mirror sex with Zoro - who is technically posessing the mirror. Is inside the mirror? Is the mirror? Instructions unclear, but reader fucks a mirror.
Warnings: Spicy, female reader implies, Zoro is an Ungaikyō (I was originally going to do poltergeist Zoro but I learned so much about Yokai and Tsukumogami and since Zoro would be from Japan irl per Oda, I wanted to pay respect to his heritage as best I can while writing what I write, jokey summary aside that's just my personality. I'm doing it in the same way I used Scottish lore for the Killer (and Eustass Kid) fic on Monday), Reader is technically kidnapped and it might be dubious consent if you look at it a certain way. Idk adding the tags to not scare or harm. Word Count: 646
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Zoro as an Ungaikyō
You didn’t know where the mirror came from, just that it stood at your doorstep the day after you moved into your new place. It looked cleaned and cared for, and the standing mirror’s ornate frame was unlike anything you’d ever seen before. Of a metal you couldn’t hope to identify. Free is free – you placed it in the corner of your bedroom next to your walk-in closet and didn’t think much about it for a few months.
You weren’t sure if you looked amazing because of the lighting or angles or what, but that mirror had you feeling yourself. You used it more than your bathroom vanity, favorite compact, or the large circular mirror hanging on the wall next to your front door so you could spot check before leaving your place. You LOVED your mirror. You once got drunk and self-pitied after a bad date and kissed your mirror just off to the side. You never wiped it off.
Then HE showed up. A few nights after the kiss mark. You had tried to sleep but were restless and horny with no one to do anything about it. So you grabbed your trusty vibrator. You heard a deep voice encouraging you, giving you hints and ideas. At first it scared you, but you didn’t find the source of the voice (even after inspecting for spyware, peepholes, hackings, and had your place raided by the cops twice) and then you decided to let it enable you. It went on for a month before he finally showed his face in the reflection of the mirror. When you were brave enough to demand he make himself known.
His name was Zoro. He said his soul gained consciousness inside the mirror after over a century of being trapped inside it. Unable to leave. He said he didn’t know how he came to be at your doorstep, and that he had no recollection of the previous owner as he had gained consciousness a month after you found. He was fucking gorgeous – tall, ripped body, scars over his body and face, three dangling earrings from one earlobe. Why the appearance? He said it felt right. And you couldn’t argue, the sight alone nearly made you drool. Especially when you developed a mutual relationship. He didn’t have to hide anymore, and you didn’t need to be disappointed by fuckboys.
Your bond cemented when you saw his cock. That he was able to get aroused and release like a mere mortal man. You made yourself cream and rubbed it against the reflective surface.
For months you fucked that mirror. Being able to work from home and not having a social life, and giving up on dating, meant you were able to cum for days straight. You went as far as attaching a life-size ejaculating dildo to the glass surface. You laid it on the floor and rode him until you were a crying, sweaty mess – gushing over your reflections. Fake cum ran from between your legs, his cum spraying his delicious abs.
“I wish you were on this side, so I could fuck you and feel that warmth for myself. Bury deep into you and cum like I’ve wanted since the first time you showed me your beautiful pussy.”
It was then you realized that the ornate frame was actually three swords intertwined and bound to the mirror on around the edges. He said if you really loved him, really wanted to feel his cock push into your tight and welcoming cunt, that all you had to do was let each blade lick your blood. Like giving yourself a paper cut. You trembled, naked and hungry for him. You followed his instruction.
Zoro never once mentioned the part about being able to trap you inside the mirror with him. And you weren’t his only plaything on his side.

summer peelings zoluna, explicit, multichapter. ao3. modern with magic
Nami forms a magical contract with a yokai, agrees to break a curse on his friend, and that's not even counting all the work she has to do for her shop and to fulfill her own magical contract. Nami welcomes the challenge, though, hoping that if she can break the curse on Luffy then she'll be able to break other magical bonds. It takes time to break a curse as powerful as the one on Luffy, and Nami gets to know him and Zoro. She knows better than to get attached, knows she's not meant for friends or connections in the life she has, but she can't help herself.

sanji will face v nasujuro and the gorosei connections to sanji
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Middle Way (We are OnePiece) @MiddleWay23 · Apr 8 I think it’s more likely to be mars but there’s a lot of weird connections with sanji and the gorosei through germa it’s almost like they are all in some way related to him Imu @StImuNerona · 12h What are the connections only asking because im curious! EchoEternum427 @eternum427 · 10h Jupiter: resemblance, agriculture linked to cooking, him looking the youngest could link him to Germa (300 years old) Mars: flight, Mars as the god/planet of war and Germa having a big focus on war Saturn: science, spider (Sanji is afraid of bugs), his legs look like diable jambe EchoEternum427 @eternum427 · 9h Venus: the V=Vinsmoke idea, this tweet, Venus rotates at 177 degrees and Sanji's only alive bounty was 177 Really, the only one I can't see a possible connection to Sanji with is Warcury Most of it is probably coincidence, but it's fun to think about
Tumblr media
Tumblr media
Plus the yokai Venus is based off a Bakotsu was a horse who died due flames and sanji has multiple associations to Venus also nasujiro and zeff called sanji chibinasu plus sanji could give zoro the shodai kitetsu for zoro shouldnt lose any of the swords he uses in final battle
Tumblr media
Plus there is the fact sanjis backstory is based off the man in the iron mask who is said to be the twin brother of the sun king born in at germain
Hikaru-chwan;
@PinkHairedCoder
Judge spoke of the former people of Germa left as wondering ghosts unable to set foot on their homeland and disgracing their memory so we can infer they're probably vengeful. The Itsumade in some myths are created from vengeful spirits, not just attracted by them. When mentioning prefectures, Oda said Sanji would be Kyoto where the myth of the Itsumade originates. Then there's also this of course:
Tumblr media
sanjis backstory is based off man in the iron mask ( and the sun king was born in st germain the name of germa's flagship
And the Germa cover story is the only one to actually be integrated with the arc it's in, implying there's something special about it Oda's definitely cooking *something* with Sanji right now What that is is anyone's guess, though

One Piece Chapter 1110 - Initial Thoughts
Tumblr media
FINALLY
The five have landed, and TCB had the audacity to not translate until late Friday, making us wait so long, but we're finally here, so let's not waste any more time.
Spoilers for the Chapter, Support the Official Release too
Our cover story is a Yamato story, he's off to travel Wano just as Oden did, which he tells Momonosuke in this cover. Given the name, I'd expect that he may cross paths with Onimaru since it'll involve an Inari shrine
How ominous a title to have with 'Planetfall' too
The buster call watches on as it notices the similar effects to Saturn's arrival, Bluegrass seems particularly disturbed
The giants sense it too, with Bonney and Franky left to worry about the others
Vegapunk's broadcast involved showing off 'Vega-Coffee', which essentially is something that turns water into coffee
That ad break lasted 3 minutes, so there's still 7 minutes left
Marejois meanwhile is empty though, only the summoning circle appears
But Vegapunk is starting anyway, with the threat that the broadcast could be intercepted it's better to hasten
And finally we got the Gorosei fruits and it all seems to be Zoans, mainly Yokai
Saturn of course is the Gyuki, as we suspected from the design
Marcus Mars is an Itsumade, the 'Eerie bird'. According to research "Saw-like beak" and "talons as sharp as swords"
Topman Warcury is a Houki, not much info on it but that it's a Four Tusked Boar from China
Arguably the most badass design is Ethanbaron V. Nusjuro, the Bakotsu. The skeletal horse is a vengeful spirit seeking revenge for being burned to death
And finally Shepherd Ju Peter, the only non-Yokai is a Sandworm. Because Oda definitely watched Dune recently
As Luffy stands down the Five Elder Planets, Sanji rushes off with Vegapunk's corpse ready to warn Nami and the others
V. Nusjuro is first to make a move, turning into a Centaur-like hybrid form as he lays waste to the Mark III pacifista surrounding the island
He was so quick that no Marine saw it either, only catching a faint image of a horse
Not even damaged, partially frozen, their 'neural circuitry' was frozen so he may've cut into their souls
I wonder if this could be a level Brook can attain
Mars is also on the move, but he's going up high
Sanji contacts Nami, telling them to get out now, soon enough Mars charges into the barrier
Luffy continues to dodge on the back foot against Saturn with Ju Peter and Warcury on the outskirts, but he notices that Ju Peter is burrowing
Usopp contacts Sanji, they're ready to leave but Zoro and Jinbe aren't here
The Sunny is safe and sound, but despite Brook's calmness he's getting his shins kicked by Lilith, who reminds him that the Sunny's only safe because of Usopp's bamboo shoots
Jinbe makes his way to Zoro, being within eyeshot
Zoro meanwhile finds himself slightly disarmed by Lucci, who taunts Zoro over his curiosity over the new sources of strong Haki
As Jinbe notes that they're still fighting, Sanji makes an off-comment, calling him a burden
Zoro has been ACTIVATED
Catching the sword that was disarmed, Zoro uses Santoryu against Lucci's leopard spots for the quick KO
The Chapter Notes point out that he references Hahava, the coldest hell of Buddhism
Plot demanded Zoro finish late, so finally Zoro has finished
Luffy meanwhile has been caught lacking, as the Sandworm comes for a bite
Dorry and Brogy have arrived though, much like they did in Little Garden (well one of them) they cut the gullet before Luffy can be swallowed
Luffy is glad to see some old friends, but now the numbers are a little more even
Well the Gorosei are definitely not weaklings
Terrifying creatures all in their own rights, they definitely set themselves up as powerful foes. Makes you wonder though what Imu could be if this is the base line huh?
There seems to be a bit more lines to draw this time around; with V. Nusjuro circling the island down below he may find himself crossing the Giants' ships, meaning Franky, Bonney, Atlas and maybe Sanji, Oimo and Kashii will likely have to confront him. Up above we have Mars looking to break through to the Labophase, which he likely will, leading to the crew having to find an opening there; Nami, Usopp, Zoro, Chopper, Robin, Jinbe and Brook plus Lilith is a greater numbers advantage, but Mars may also use the Seraphim if he's wily, does not look good for the CP agents, York and Kaku though, hope the first and latter got out safe.
Which leaves Luffy and the giants facing down Saturn, Ju Peter (I doubt he's dead) and Warcury. I could sadly see the captains not making it out, or holding off 3 so to get Luffy out. Let's not forget that Kizaru can always pull himself back into it (I hope Sentomaru also escaped). Plus there's still the matter of Vegapunk's broadcast itself.
It's not gonna be clean or pretty, but thinks are gonna get chaotic in the best and the worst way.

Roronoa Zoro, 181 cm, 21 y.o.
One Piece
N, R and SR cards design
Tumblr media
one piece is very popular, and i'm not sure if zoro needs an introduction.
i really like melonteee video about him, if you have the time, you should totally watch it!
very strong, very determined, sometimes silly stupid, and very straightforward, nods nods best himbo ✨️
i've been watching one piece sincee... i wanna say 2014, i quickly catch up to releasing episodes, and was religiously watching every week. around wholecake island i got very inpatient with filler episodes, so i started reading manga.
i remember i had one piece oc that joined straw hat crew and was in love with zoro 🩷 ofcourse. hehe, her whole joke that she had no boobs in one piece world where every girl has big big bazongaz...
uh, but i need to talk about zoro and my designs!!
anyways, dunno why, really, but i really liked zoro, and i started brainstorming this whole nu isekai thing he was one of my top picks for the crew >:3c
really proud of Rare outfit i drew for him, it looks very cool, teehee! i like layered crop-tops for zoro. omg, points, he's basically shirtless all the time!
Tumblr media Tumblr media
(gifs from one piece)
another human *does a lil dance*, i like how this list started with yokais and ends with humans ✨️
zoro has a green gem in his left ear. *points and jumps* yes-yes one of his iconic earrings contains his gem!
his conterpart is quincy, which i think is fitting, both buff and strong, both humans.
they found each other by accident in port, both wondering about longing for the sea. they bonded over their similar experiences and mutual love of boose.
like i mentioned in post about julian, zoro met with him in water territory.
zoro and julian traveled on ships to different adventures. some were uneventful, some more exciting. after roughly a year, both men returned to klein kingdom, settling in water territory.
renting a simple apartment. they formed a tight bond, sometimes they flirt with each other, and they can share bed a few times, but they don't consider themselfs lovers or a couple, friends with benefits if you will!
i imagine zoro would find some great swords in nu: cafnival world in his travels, drawn to them by their legendary power (or something like that). yeah, it's no kuina's wado or cursed sandai kitetsu, but it's not the same life or story, so it would be fitting for him to find new blades filled with new meanings and powers.

one piece x inuyasha au bc I'm insane and wrote this during my break today
luffy is a human kid* sent to the great demon era (I'm great at naming <3) where demons rule the lands after he falls through a cursed well in the forest where he and sabo and Ace grew up. he seeks to collect all the pieces of the shikon jewel and put them back together into....one piece. (loud booing) listen,
in this era, the wielder of the shikon jewel becomes the most powerful demon that rules over all the others. luffy does not care that he's human. he wants that damn jewel
zoro is still a swordsman. not much changes. people think he's a demon, but he's actually just a really strong human who can use techniques like asura. he was a demon hunter for spare change after he got lost leaving his home village. not much changes there, either
nami is a petty thief and navigator who used to work for the demon arlong. she starts to awaken some priestess powers with usopp's help and the staff he gives her, though she doesn't really follow any other priestess rules. she learns other magic, too, still messing with the weather and wielding a variety of attacks without a care for whether they're sacred or demonic
usopp's following in the footsteps of his father- a priest turned adventurer killing wayward demons along the way. his weapon of choice in this au is a bow and arrow which sometimes he and Nami will work together to bless the arrows!
sanji is a travelling cook who's secretly the son of a daiyoukai. due to his mother's intervention, he's a hanyou, but he passes as human and his crew doesnt know he is one.
chopper is a little reindeer demon who's learning medicine and priesthood under the care of lady kureha, joining luffy's crew after they defeat the demon wapol
robin is a demon from ohara who works under the demon warlord Crocodile for a little while, fulfilling a role similar to kaguya. she deserts him after luffy and crew save vivi and the alabasta region from his reign, but she's still wanted by the world at large for being a "dangerous type of demon" with knowledge of the old world and the creation of the shikon jewel passed down in her clan.
franky is a human/zombie/demon hybrid who survived an explosion after his mentor, a demon named tom, was attacked. he put himself back together with human and demon parts alike, similarly to how sesshomaru and naraku would absorb spare body parts in the og show. he's a blacksmith!
Brook is a revived man much like kikyo was brought back by demonic methods. he has to consume souls to keep living, but he only steals the souls of their enemies. he's also pretty bad at it. he's still a musician, though his instruments are a bit more traditional
jinbei is a whale shark yokai, so a fish yokai from the same clan as Arlong...but not evil lmao. he used to be a warlord too, but decided he didn't like the whole feudal part. he's the crew's cultural guide and diplomat of sorts, attempting to keep peace between demon territories and human villages they visit alike from freaking out when a rag tag group of thieves, demons, priests, and fighters show up on their doorstep. he and robin discuss history and archeology often, and in theory robin has a lot of the same knowledge jinbei does, but jinbei has better....people skills.
the setting would be the inuyasha universe, feudal / yokai infested Japan. however, the world government is an issue in luffy's time (1500's fictional goa kingdom) that secretly has ties to accessing the demon world. I haven't thought out the logistics fully, yet. but you can bet your ass luffy's mentor shanks, who is often gone on long "journeys," was actually traveling back and forth from the feudal era and the goa kingdom this whole time.
* spoilers below
* I haven't gotten ro gear 5 yet myself but I imagine luffy is secretly the reincarnation of the demon "joy boy", which will. aid the whole shikon jewel thing. and is also why he is able to traverse the cursed well.
though, humans like shanks seek out the jewel too, for the power it can hold in controlling demons or perhaps (myth?) giving them the power of one.

Sanji is a love witch and a matchmaker. It's his profession, but he is not human. He is a selkie from his mother's side. Sanji lives on a house boat, Franky was a big help in renovating the old thing.
Sanji was responsible for his friends' realships, nani/vivi, franky/robin. He only gave usopp nudge to ask kaya out since everyone could see they were perfect for each other.
Sanji dated both Ace and Law. Now Ace and Law are together. I thought they would be cute together, lol.
I thought it would be funny if sanji hooks up with zoro on the night of his 25 birthday, and then Luffy invites Zoro as his plus one to sanji birthday dinner. Luffy almost always brings someone new, and then a lot of the time, they end up being part of the friend group. Zoro has met almost everyone before, him and sanji kept missing eatch other.
Zoro is part yokai from his father's side. He owes a company that makes mostly sake, they are expanding to make other alcohols. When he Mets sanji he knows that he is his mate.
No one knows what Robin is except Franky and he won't tell. But they do know she is a priestess of Stolas.
Nami is a nymph a Nephele (coulds and rain) she works as a meteorologist and runs a fashion blog.
Law is a vampire and a surgeon
Chopper is a raindeer faun. He is doing his residency at the hospital Law works at.
Usopp writes and Illustrates children's books, he does side work for Franky for extra money and to keep busy. He is somthing wind related.
Luffy is an incarnation. Witch are created by gods. They take pieces of themselves, aspects personality and then make a person of them. If you know the Mercy Thompson series, then that's what it's based on.
Kaya is a fairy who works as/working on becoming an infectious disease specialist
Ace is a firefighter
Franky is still a cyborg and still builds things. He was Sanji's first official client. Him and Robin were his first match as a professional.
@too-much-alphabet-soup thanks for some ideas

One Piece 1110 spoilers!
This week's persuasions:
SPECTACULAR COVER PAGE!!!! HAPPY ST PATRICKS DAY TO ME SPECIFICALLY
I love Momo's pout like 'Yamatooooooooo why this why now'. I hope they're besties
ah right yeah, apocalypse
"let's wait 7 minutes or so" VEGAPUUUUUUNNNNNNNNNNKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKK
right so the Elders are confirmed yokai or yokai-esque beings, FUCK YES. It's not stated these are DFs, so either Oda is letting us assume these are Mythical Zoans, or hes being sneaky once again...
Oda really is amazing at making varyingly goofy designs legitimately menacing in the necessary context. This double spread is making me brick lads, jesus mary and joseph. Iconic pages coming every month now nakama!
Ok I actually love this bit of cooperation. you have Mars up high scoping where the rogue Pacifista are, and mind-directing Nosjuro to their locations so he can make shite of them at high speed, for efficient situation containment AND keeping their monster forms from human eyes. I hate to give credit where its due here, but fuck. These langers have this shit down lads.
also Nosjuro CONFIRMED swordsman at last, Zoro fans will eat well in due course
I'm stealing this from a replier I saw on twitter but if Luffy doesnt ride Peter like a fucking Dune sandworm i'm gonna be so disappointed ( I won't but CMON)
Brook power scalers are getting def big time, who else in the verse can take a nut shot from an android and no sell it
oh wait Brook doesn't have any nuts NYOHOHO
Jimbei collecting all the kids bc its time to go home now
Zoro's had enough of playing with his food now its time to chow down
DORRY AND BROGY IN THE NICK OF TIME SAVING LUFFY FROM BEING VORED, OUT-FUCKING-STANDING
god so now we have 3 Gorosei vs Nika Luffy AND a pair of giant warriors, the next 2 weeks are going to be find dining indeed my friends. I shiver at the prospect!
til next time! 💪✖️

One Piece chapter 1110 review
This is a chapter that doesn't disappoint. Things are really heating up as we hit the tenth chapter of volume 109 with Egghead's likely final end-of-volume cliffhanger to come in the next chapter or two.
But we start out with a new cover story, and yeah, it's Yamato following Oden's tour of Wano, which is probably the least exciting thing going on this week. However with the last cover story having such a large and immediate connection to the current story, I'm going in with an open mind and considering my hopes. Seeing some of the stuff that got shortchanged in Wano's clipped epilogue would be cool, like Ryuma's grave for example, or passing by Izo's tomb and seeing Kiku visiting. Perhaps a more direct confonrtation of the public's feelings about Tama's Kurozumi heritage. That one might be hard in the pantomime format of a cover story, but you never know. It's going to be a few installments before there's enough info to make any real prediction about the story's trajectory though, we know they never quite stay the course they seem to start on.
Getting back into it, Oda spends a couple of pages building into the big reveals. We also get a timeline update, with 3 minutes down already, which is a brisk pace as Shonen countdowns go. The summoning circles definitely seem closer together and like they're placed in a more rubble-strewn environment than in the final spread of the last chapter, enough to ease my concerns about the space shifting slightly.
And the monster designs that come out when the shadows are pulled back are truly awe inspiring. I don't know a lot of yokai or much about any of them (could tell you a little bit about classic sandworms though), but these are easy 10/10 beasts with all of Oda's best character design ideas on full display. When One Piece ends and he inevitably gets restless after his well-earned break Oda should absolutely do the Toriyama (RIP) thing and design monsters for games. What do you even say to a pair of pages like this? I can't stop looking back to them.
And these guys are made to feel like a threat too. None of them speak in the whole chapter; similar to Saturn's original rampage it makes them feel all the more inhuman. (Saturn did speak when he confirmed the summons in the last chapter, so we know they can but you still get the same effect from how sparse their dialogue is.) They spring immediately into action with no apparent coordination or communication between each other, and they go straight for their goals. There's no posturing or speeches or taking test shots at Luffy to measure his power. Nasjuro is off and running already, cutting down Pacifistas to unblock the Buster Call fleet, solving problems for the bad guys. Mars takes a shot at the barrier, and even though it doesn't work you know he's going to be there the moment it goes down for real. And Ju Peter and Saturn go straight for Luffy. They really don't feel like playtime villains, which is exactly what you need at this late stage of the story.
The absence of Warcury is curious though. Is he also fighting Luffy, or is he going for something else? Charging towards Bonney perhaps?
But what are they? The fact that the odaboxes simply give creature names without specifying a Devil Fruit type is super suspicious. Nasjuro's ice powers mirror Brook's abilities (which allegedly come from having returned from death, rather than being directly a feature of his fruit), which could maybe suggest that he as well has returned from some kind of underworld.
I'm not ready to totally rule out it being a misdirect and them having Devil Fruits of a matched kind, but the weird details are adding up.
Speaking of weird details, I can't quite tell if it's weird scaling/camera angles or not, but it almost seems like Lucci knocks Enma away from Zoro only for it to boomerang back to his hand. I'm not crazy, right, other people are seeing this? At a glance you think maybe it goes up and he catches it as it comes down, but that flight path is curved in every panel. So what, did Zoro just get lucky with the amount of spin, or is there some strange new property of Enma's power/contained Haki being shown here. Or something to do with Zoro's close grim reaper encounter? Stick a pin in this one I think we'll be coming back to it later.
I'm ambivalent about the Zoro and Lucci fight as a whole. The outcome was never in doubt, and it was too offscreen to provide any real character interaction or clash of ideology to add substance. Zoro snapping and finding the motivation to take the win right away when Sanji talks him down is a decent bit for the two of them, but it's not quite enough to make the whole fight feel like more than padding.
Truly, if Lucci had been handcuffed properly after the death game portion and never made his breakout attempt, I don't think the arc would have played out any differently. Even the silly anticlimax of the sliding ship serves the purpose of justifying the Sunny getting from A to B over dry land, but Lucci? Was taking Stussy off the table that important? Was it the only way to make it believable that Zoro wouldn't follow Sanji and Vegapunk down to the Labophase and get involved with the Elders too soon? I'm having a hard time seeing it, but the arc isn't over yet.
The final spread is a fantastic callback and great hype-builder for the next chapter. And I think it's going to prove just how far the Elders' regeneration is able to go. The Elders aren't going down here, definitely not, but with Dorry and Brogy there might just be enough muscle on Luffy's side to hold them back until the broadcast goes ahead.
We're getting colour pages next week, and I have to wonder if an Akira Toriyama tribute is coming. Jump has to do it, there's no way they won't, but the gap between when the pages are finalised and when we see them, and the break between when Toriyama died and when it was announced to the public makes it all kinds of tough to figure out the earliest that could happen. I could definitely see Oda pivoting last minute and trading out a finished colour spread to something in honour of Toriyama, but the timing is tight. We'll see soon, I suppose. May the hits keep on coming for the Egghead finale!

one piece theory the secret behind v . nusjuro
Today, in this theory, I will explain what the Secret of V. Nusjuro, who may be a Diamond Dog and his role in the story.
🔍 To answer this question, we'll go through 3 main points.
Venus and Diamond stone
Venus is a Dog demon
Venus cursed Wano and Kuina
Venus and Diamond stone
Did you know that in Hindu mythology, Venus was associated with the Diamond stone?
In the same mythology, Saturn is associated with Blue Sapphire, which is Oda's reference in the story!
Is V. Nus associated with the Diamond stone?
Tumblr media
This would be no surprise as Mr. 1 told Zoro: "Are you going to cut through a Diamond next?" Will Zoro cut through Venus' Diamond next?
Cutting through a Diamond seems to be a difficult task. as Mihawk himself struggled to cut through Diamond Jozu.
2. Venus is a Dog demon The Five Elders are inspired from Chinese mythology - Saturn (ox) = ox demon (Ushi-oni) - Jupiter (sheep) = Shepherd Ju Peter - Mars (fowl) = bird/fowl - Mercury (pig) = boar - Venus is associated with a dog
Tumblr media
The Five Elders also seem to be inspired from Japanese Folklore. Each Gorosei matches a Yokai (Japanese Demon). - Saturn (ox) = Ushi-oni - Jupiter (sheep) = Nuppeppo - Mars (fowl) = Itsumade - Mercury (pig) = Baku - Venus could therefore be a Dog Yokai
Tumblr media
Venus could be the Inugami (犬神), the Dog Yokai (dog god/spirit).
Tumblr media Tumblr media
A manga series named Inuyasha (犬夜叉) depicts a half-demon (Inugami), half-human swordsman. - Inuyasha is a swordsman, like Venus. - Inuyasha even has a Diamond sword that can throw diamonds (Venus = Diamond) Is Venus a half-demon dog half-human swordsman, like Inuyasha?
Yamato ate the Inu Inu no Mi, Model: Okuchi no Makami - The guardian dog
Did Venus eat the Inu Inu No Mi, Model: Inugami - The vengeful dog Panini @writingpanini · 18h
Venus cursed Wano and Kuina
Yamato's Devil Fruit, the Makami, is considered Wano's Guardian Deity.
Did Venus, the Inugami, curse Wano? Panini @writingpanini · 18h Ethanbaron V. Nusjuro seems to be from Wano as "Juro" is included in his nickname.
Zoro's nickname in Wano was Zoro-Juro! Panini @writingpanini · 18h Ethanbaron V. Nusjuro is known as the Warrior God of Finance
Wano was known as the country of gold!
Did Venus, the Inugami, curse Wano? Panini @writingpanini · 18h A very popular Japanese novel talks about the Inugami curse, Venus' curse?
Did the Inugami Venus bound to the swords through some dark ritual or curse, influencing the wielders, driving them toward acts of violence or revenge?
Tumblr media
Panini @writingpanini · 18h Did Venus curse the Shimotsuki family in Wano to get their gold? Panini @writingpanini · 18h Maybe Kuina herself died because of her sword that may have been cursed by V. Nusjuro.
Ginny died because of Sapphire Scale (Saturn).
Law's family died because of Amber Lead (Ju Peter?)
Did Shimotsuki and Kuina died because of Inugami/Diamond Curse (Venus)? Panini @writingpanini · 18h This may trigger a confrontation between Zoro and V. Nusjuro if V. Nusjuro is the one who indirectly caused Kuina's death! Panini @writingpanini · 18h As a conclusion:
Venus may be associated with Diamond
Venus may be associated with Inugami
Venus may have cursed Wano by cursing swords to steal their gold
Venus may have indirectly caused Kuina's death

Note
given that saturns ability is based of the ushi oni/gyuki I think v nasujiro ( bald gorosei) is based off a yasha a war demon thats said to guard treasure fitting for the warrior god of finance
Yokai: Yasha Yasha are race of powerful high ranking spirits in Buddhism. They are fearsome warriors, and serve as the guardians of the treasures of the earth. A fitting role for the Warrior God of Finance
(and zoro has a lot of buddhism connections
and for ju peter I would say that since he is the warrior god of agriculture the akaguchi makes the most sense given its connection to farming
" Akaguchi has association with the use of water in farming country.[1] Though some sources say Akaguchi is simply an omen of bad luck, others represent Akaguchi as a protective spirit.[1][8] During droughts, water is carefully controlled and distributed equally to farmers in the area. As a form of warfare, some would siphon above the allotted amount of water for their personal fields. This was a great crime and could cost neighboring farmers their livelihood. It was believed that the perpetrators of this crime not punished by law would be punished by Akaguchi. If these criminals came near the floodgate Akaguchi would appear and swallow them, scooping them up with its giant red tongue."
Aka Shita is a yokai that appears during the summer months, when rain and water are necessary for rice fields to ensure a successful harvest. A perfect ability for the Warrior God of Agriculture
