i remember when i just opened the game, and i saw his face, i was like "yep yep, i know who is my favorite already". curly red head with a mischievous smile? woooo, that's the stuff baby!

but julian resonated with me on another level too, super depressed person, who doesn't let go of his past mistakes, who will make everything to sacrifice himself for a good deed to atone for his past.. but he's also very kind, brave, flirty, adventurous!

very happy with my outfit designs, except N one, that's his original outfit, such a slay tho. i received some feedback, and his original outfit ranked higher than mine, haha... ah.. well, that's okay too!

so julian got isekaied a year or so prior to main three, and oh, ✨️ spoilers ✨️met zoro in water territory. they bonded together over longing for sea adventures and drinking in bars! so they both went on some silly and exciting adventures. by time of main events, they both are back and renting an apartment in port town, in water territory.

i imagine them going around local bars and just having fun together, sharing news or adventures with each other, and helping to uncover some past memories!

I've always thought it was unrealistic for Eiden to be chill with being in Klein when I first played nu carnival. Like, if I were isekai-ed into an unknown world I'd wanna go home/make it my ultimate goal to go home. But Eiden was all like "welp ig I'm the grand sorcerer now. Gotta fix the altars." but I was like "well this is just a game, ig they need Eiden to be enthusiastic to make the plot work." I remember a part in the chapter where Eiden meets Kuya for the first time where Kuya does a magic illusion thing on him and "transports" him back to his old life. Kuya even pointed out that he didn't seem happy to be back home. But then we get little snips of flashbacks from how he was like before he came to Klein and it all makes sense why he likes klein better than his old life.

He's an orphan and now he has his clan members as his family. He used to work many jobs to make ends meet and now he's living in Aster's mansion. My boy eiden needs a break and klein was the break :(

Nu carnival is very interesting in that it presents as your stereotypical Isekai harem gatcha where 12 million single barbarians and mages and wizards want Your dick but it's surprisingly very lowkey horny in comparison to the hetero PIDWS of the gatcha world. Like sure whenever you meet a love interest Eiden's like wow this guy is hot but he's very self aware and realistic about it and aside from the first scene there's not really any sex without a fair amount of story build up and character-developing tension, which is pretty rare. Congrats nu carnival for having the most insane premise but at the same time somehow most realistic writing of a p2p gay porn game

Eiden From Nu Carnival

Why?: he's one of the few isekai protagonists without magic, plus selling his soul to a Furry space demon might just be part of the course for him. Plus the gemstones might just be alternate universe versions of soul gems considering that for the most part, they give the people that have them powers but if the gem gets destroyed or separated from them, there's a good chance they die.

Today I'm Gonna Play: Nu: Carnival

I've always seen mobile gacha games that depict lots of female characters. I don't see much of the same for male characters, despite some games showing huge success of having them (i.e. HoyoVerse games and Fate Grand Order). I stumbled across a mention of this on a post about gachas with a male majority cast. I checked to see if it's worth it.

**TW: This is an 18+ BL game containing sexual content to the point that it's not even on the App Stores, although a censored version will be released soon for the stores. I will not be detailing the naughty bits much regardless.**

I have to say, when the content warning popped up mentioning that a scene contains adult content and that I have the option to skip it, I thought it'd be something akin to softcore for some reason. Instead, there was an entire scene with everything shown in all its glory and descriptions. I did get a laugh out of being surprised.

But admiteddly, this game does not cut corners in presentation, at all. The art style is very appealing with a diverse amount of character designs that fit various tropes, and the animation is actually spendid, both in regular and explicit scenes. Although regular animations do tend to move around with a lot of exaggeration, so this can be a turn off for some players. Maybe it's because I don't play BL or adult games much so I'm not in the know for what's the latest or what's buzzing, but I'm getting the impression that this game is a lot more underrated than expected.

The story is not too bad. At least for once I'm paying a little attention to it in a gacha game. It basically acts as an isekai where you gain the role of being a successor to a sorcerer and sex somewhat acts as an energy source. Character dynamics are nice where present, but the best part for me personally is that I like that the relationships are depicted in a healthy manner, where it's more consensual. There are also side stories in the form of events which are fun to read through.

Gameplay is surprisingly fun! It's turn-based with a front view perspective. The UI is very animated which feels like it's giving me little dopamine hits lol. Your party consists of the characters in different tiers known as rarity, and they also have roles such as debuffers, healers, strikers, etc. so there is a fair share of strategy involved. Your party also needs to be leveled up via potions, as well as increase their ranks (kind of like ascensions in Genshin Impact), and also increase certain base stats known as Potential. However at some point it does get grindy as the requirements for getting to the next levels gets higher and higher in terms of your team's power level. This is a system I loathed in another gacha game (Final Fantasy 7: Ever Crisis), but it's more bearable here because the game offers you other things to do instead, such as events.

As for the gacha aspects, there is a way to get the rolls you want by using a guest account and then binding when you're satisfied, so it is generous in that sense. I'm also F2P so far and I've had decent rolls in the beginning, though lately it's been awful lol. I did think about spending a bit of money, but the prices for what they ask are ridiculously high, which is one aspect I dislike about the game. You can instead gain rewards through quests such as dailies, weeklies,etc., join a guild to do quests in order to collectively earn rewards, do explorations and craft things, or buy with other currencies that don't require payment.

In the end, I'm actually playing this game religiously , but I'm also quite relaxed with it. It's a nice game to drop by and do some stuff and then hop off while you go about with your day. I do hope that the censored version can bring in more users (the intended audience, that is).

I had to take step back from playing too many games because some of the dailies were becoming very time consuming. Not enough hours in the day to play all the games I want to. 🫠 So the only gachas I’m actively playing right now are Love & Deepspace, Honkai: Star Rail and Goddess of Victory: Nikke. Having an auto battle option is so nice on my irl schedule. 🥲 I’m also actively playing the critically acclaimed MMORPG Final Fantasy XIV! :3

I’m a bit of a gacha addict… so other gachas that I’ve played in the past or ones that I’m on a break from include: Genshin Impact, Tears of Themis, Mister Love: Queen’s Choice, Mystic Messenger, Fate/Grand Order, Love Nikki, Shining Nikki, NU: carnival, Arknights, Azur Lane, Honkai 3rd Impact, Fire Emblem Heroes, Wuthering Waves, What in Hell is Bad?, Zen Zenless Zero, Gran Blue Fantasy, SiNoALICE, The Alchemist Code, Seven Knights Idle Adventure, Reverse: 1999, Dear Otome, Food Fantasy, Isekai: Slow Life, and Pokémon Go (does this count?)

Gachas aren’t the only game I play though. I have a wide collection of otome games in my backlog for switch/PC. Some of my favorite otomes include Bustafellows, Olympia Soirée, Collar x Malice, Variable Barricade, Nightshade, and Steam Prison. I also used to play a lot of Animal Crossing: New Horizons, Stardew Valley, Sun Haven, and Sims. Cozy, immersive games like those were my go to during Covid.

Game that I’m looking forward to? INFINITY NIKKI!!

i remember i had one piece oc that joined straw hat crew and was in love with zoro 🩷 ofcourse. hehe, her whole joke that she had no boobs in one piece world where every girl has big big bazongaz...

uh, but i need to talk about zoro and my designs!!

anyways, dunno why, really, but i really liked zoro, and i started brainstorming this whole nu isekai thing he was one of my top picks for the crew >:3c

they found each other by accident in port, both wondering about longing for the sea. they bonded over their similar experiences and mutual love of boose.

like i mentioned in post about julian, zoro met with him in water territory.

zoro and julian traveled on ships to different adventures. some were uneventful, some more exciting. after roughly a year, both men returned to klein kingdom, settling in water territory.

renting a simple apartment. they formed a tight bond, sometimes they flirt with each other, and they can share bed a few times, but they don't consider themselfs lovers or a couple, friends with benefits if you will!

i imagine zoro would find some great swords in nu: cafnival world in his travels, drawn to them by their legendary power (or something like that). yeah, it's no kuina's wado or cursed sandai kitetsu, but it's not the same life or story, so it would be fitting for him to find new blades filled with new meanings and powers.

Hi can you please do nu carnival characters x male reader who is a friend of Eiden & got isekai. Long story short, male readers are like childhood friends of Eiden who met in an orphanage. Male reader is a mama's boy who does girls' stuff like makeup, fashion, cooking, cleaning, etc. But as time went on, he wasn't the happy person due to harsh life, he became timid and & trust issues, he got isekai by the elemental spirits but he has NO GEMSTONE! Male reader is a nice guy & a mom figure to everyone, but due to the trouble of the past he got trust issues & feels he is insignificant to Eiden & his friends. Sorry if that doesn't make sense.

I like the idea but that's a lot of information for so many characters. I can do headcanons for an isekai no gemstone shy male reader with everyone, or I can do a short fic for one or two characters. Not sure what you would prefer?

now that i think about it, nu carnival may be a BL isekai gacha, but it 1) made me like an isekai and 2) surprisingly has a lot more wholesome scenes than H-scenes (3: it made me actually like a tsundere aka my wife edmond he overtook yakumo as my fave i love my blue knight!!!!!!!!!!!)

like the latest event was about eiden and the boys (blade, olivine, kuya) helping fulfill a ghost girl's last wish of seeing a funfair parade bc she was sickly in life, then during the parade we see her brother who grew old and took ownership of the funfair 🥺then in the epilogue he negotiates and reopens the once abandoned funfair in his sister's memory;;;;

to expand on this: its world is so nice that it has a sfw version of the game allowed on the app store (subtitled Bliss lmaoo)--only thing is the H-scenes are censored bc the rest of the game is fine

yeah there's kinks explored in the rooms but also there's a lot of lore in the scenes inbetween them??? why is a BL gacha this deep

I have!! I unfortunately really don't like his outfit (somehow it's even less practical than Ilsa granblue fantasy's, which I didn't know was possible ) but as a character he's really growing on me.. he reminds me of my favorite character in the other weird Isekai porn game I downloaded and then just got addicted to the puzzle gameplay of who was also a somewhat tsundere prudish knight, but honestly Edmond is even better. So I am enjoying him I just hope he has some good outfits in other gatchas
