When I was 22, I went on the most *ah-mazing* vacation to Brazil with my college bestie (who I'm still friends with to this day!). My other Brazilian friend arranged our entire trip. No wondering around like tourists. We were on the inside track from day one, escorted from place-to-place by locals! Flash forward to today as homeowner, dog owner, wife, and mom (with spit-up on 95% of my clothing) -- memories from that trip to Brazil are my happy place. I CHERISH the memories of that Brazil trip -- My friend and I bikini shopping (we kept asking the shopkeeper for bikinis that were NOT thongs, and she just did not understand us 😆). Amazing parties, discos and dinners in the most glamorous places. Stretching under the hot sun by the pool (this was just as I was beginning to make yoga and meditation a big part of my life). Shopping one day, we found this adorable store with the most amazing perfumes. I bought a body mist that I still use -- to this day. (This bottle has moved to over a dozen houses and apartments with me over the past 10 years). I ration it out for moments when I need to feel extra special. I spray some on and it's like I'm 22 again. Scent is a POWERFUL medicine. 😍 Anyway, when I heard that some of my favorite yoga brands (Yogi Surprise, YogaOutlet, Yoga Journal, Sivana Spirit, who's podcast I host, and more!) were teaming up to sponsor a ONE MONTH Self-Development retreat in Florianopolis, Brazil, I knew I had to enter and volunteered to spread the word.
