overly serious post about my little manga but. there really is somethin so upsetting that like. literal 47 years passed. eroica fanfic writers just will not recognize that Its Bad, Actually, that dorian will so often be mocked/hit and not only there's rarely any repercussions for the person that did it, but he'll express no reaction at all

this is of course because he, like the rest of the characters of the series really, becomes more and more stale and w/o character development as the series goes on. the same goes for eberbach. but what truly pisses me off is that there's 50k+ word fanfiction that delves into every single goddamn aspect of eberbach's feelings over and over, but never into dorian's. barely even acknowledging a single insult, however meaningless (like 'idiot'), that's thrown his way. and it rly ends up taking the joy out of these fanfics sometimes

Okay SO I like to think Inhumans all have slightly non-human features, even before Terrigenesis. I have a lot of headcanons about their biology, most of them somewhat rooted in canon.

Seeing as their alien DNA is Kree DNA, I took inspiration from Kree biology, but toned it down so it's just enough to be uncanny: slightly too sharp canines, slightly too pointy ears, blood that's slightly too dark/purple, etc cetera et cetera. Enough that you'd be able to recognize that something is off, but not really be able to pinpoint what.

(I also headcanon that, while still incredibly rare, Inhumans are more likely than regular humans to be born with tails. This one is not based in canon Kree biology at all I just think tails are cool ASDFGHJKL.)

Based on what we see the various Inhuman characters go through over the course of Agents of SHIELD (and also the fact that their powers would probably kill them without it), I'd say it's pretty likely that increased durability is probably a canon baseline Inhuman trait. Jumping off of that, I think Inhumans should have increased strength/speed/agility as well.

I also think their average height should be several inches above average human height. This is inspired solely by almost every single Kree we see being absolutely fuckin massive.

Other miscellaneous/post Terrigenesis headcanons include:

A lot of Inhumans develop tapetum lucidum (the thing that makes animals eyes glow in the dark) after going through Terrigenesis.

Higher body temperature.

Yknow how cats yawn really big and it shows off all their sharp teeth? Most Inhumans yawn like that.

After Terrigenesis their resting heart rate is much faster than that of a regular human.

man im sorry it was like late last night i really didnt think about it but i feel like we should really talk about the BG1 Sewer Brothel Situation. like what a fucking location for a brothel. what is even happening in that city. i was at a point within the gameplay where i was like yknow what adult life is already so goddamn weird etc etc but its 24 hrs later and i might be still thinking about it. pov you're just wandering around the sewers (which i must stress are full of giant maggot things the size of people, rotting corpses that keep jumping out at you, et cetera) and you end up in a brothel somehow and in your confused wander out you make your way towards the entrance and the guy at the front is like "you have to pay to come in here." sir clearly we do not

idk if you've ever discussed this before, but are there such things as humans with android-sort of augmentations (idk if that would be considered a cyborg or not exactly), or are things clean cut between being human and android? probably obvious question from me of all people but

prefacing this with the ol "any of this might change if and when i flesh out this part of the world more or i decide it doesn't serve the story" you know how it is

short answer first: to general public knowledge, there aren't any human - android hybrids

long answer: there are humans who have performance augmentations, cybernetic implants, advanced prosthetics, which does classify them as cyborgs but its actually different tech than androids. (for example Bastien has subdermal implant for HRT that he refills every 3 months, Élise has a couple chip implants to make interfacing with their computers faster and smoother)

there are also humans who try to reverse engineer android bodies (this is again something Bastien and Élise try to do at the clinic). android bodies are really advanced, they can 'heal' small cuts, mimic bruising et cetera with remarkable accuracy, in that way some of the models are nigh organic, but all attempts to integrate them with human bodies - to general public knowledge - have failed in the long term

since the government (and other interested parties) keeps a very tight lid on the secrets of android tech in general, going as far as collecting any and all of their dead bodies and allegedly incinerating them, the grassroots progress of reverse engineering their parts has been really slow and dangerously illegal. the process of applying for a new limb, body part or skin etc takes years of wait time and bureaucratic loops for any android that's trying to fix an issue with their body via the authorized routes.

there are of course rumors - without any damning proof, that dysfunct android bodies are not destroyed but recycled as new advanced tech, tools, weapons and prosthetics for black ops sectors and the richest of the rich. there are also vague conspiracies about the lack of human knowledge about android tech trying to make the argument that even the government doesn't actually know how to replicate whole androids and that there is a lot more to that secret than just lost knowledge. but yknow none of that is the kind of information any normal person really thinks about much or could verify, and life goes on.

Even when settling into his new home and his new family, EeL STILL was difficult to handle (affectionately)… and SO MUCH WORSE during his moments of duress, e.g. many of the Elysium Drama Moments of the Past. Why turn tenderly to your friends and found family and reach out to them for their love and support when you can just BRISTLE AND LASH OUT VICIOUSLY TO SHOVE THEM ALL AWAY INSTEAD???? This is Loki 101 :) 📝 duh! Never show weakness!

2013 was when EeL had accidentally gotten Tory pregnant while he and Maci still hated each other, and various turmoil followed: EeL was 8months pregnant with Rane when it happened; he twisted his own anxieties & guilt over the situation into retaliating hostility instead; this period of time was also when Thanatos had resurfaced, which was LOKI’S FAULT & a mess that he’d had to untangle. In short- not a good time for anyone but certainly not EeL! Finally things then had calmed down— Rane was born, Thanatos was killed, apologies were made, coparenting was agreed upon….. except oops Loki, stressed out, continued to be THE FUCKING WORST.

One particularly prickly argument of the time had ended with none other than baby Bel, circa age 7.,, following after him and talking him down from the metaphorical ledge—and clocking the base of EeL’s behaviors sO COMPLETELY. 🫢 yknow, mindreader things. they’re always so quick to catch on 🙄🙄

This is an OLD canon convo, bubbling recently in the back of my mind like an OMEN while in the modern day Loki curls up between Tory and Maci in their new dynamic. Everything is perfect right now! He’s in the best sexual relationship of his life lmfao, they’re expecting a baby together on purpose, they are taking care of him so well, and they’re being so mindful of all his prior, related, traumas— and latent anxieties that he adamantly refuses to properly talk about. UH, But he’s SETTLED, he can RELAX— right? No need to worry about whether those anxieties will boil OVER and make them recoil from him! No need to worry about how badly it’s going to hurt when everything inevitably crashes and burns because things don’t often STAY good when they’re good—

i'm just noting this here for my own reference but i think itd be the worst if between pregame and the game, everyones personalities werent *opposite* per se like the videos imply, but certain aspects of themselves that they may or may not have been insecure about were caricaturized to be their defining traits.

like for instance pregame kokichi DID have a compulsive lying problem and was well aware that people wouldnt like him, so he was worried if people would like him because of it, and it was caricaturized to such an extent that yeah, nobody DID like him. miu was very sexual but it was caricaturized to be her defining trait, maki was asocial and cold but the game made her an assassin, et cetera

and kaede was generally optimistic and wanted people to be happy and to make sure her friends were ok, and the game characterized her to be that to a fault

because in the prolouge, everyone was confuaed as to wtf they were doing there, and that was before any flashback lights. so i think the willing participation was fake just to make the survivors despair more, to male them think its THEIR fault theyre stuck in this horrivle place, and that they were actually the kinds of people they would HATE (like kaito's signup vid showing him as a selfish fame hungry murderer)

also lbr its way easier to find a bunch of interesting people and caricaturize them than to think of sixteen brand new characters every season forever

just basically team danganronpa went "yknow that thing about yourself that you think defines you? let's caricaturize it to the point of obnoxiousness and see how much people hate you for it and how many things you hate that you did because of it! look at how awful your main characteriatic is! how unbearable it is to be around!!
