winterfell is one of my favorite of the castles bc its warm. both in a metaphorical and literal meaning. its built on natural hot springs and has hot water streaming through out the entire castle, protecting its residents both from the cold and people alike. its so warm inside that catelyn can open her windows in the middle of the night and still stay comfortable. even the glass gardens are warm enough for flowers to bloom and crops to grow in the long winters, feeding the keep. the people are warm too; everyone from the servants to the lord himself. Ned cared for his people and they loved him for that and took care of the Starklings in turn, risked their lives to save Bran and Rickon from the ironborn. Theon knows that if Bran and Rickon were to get away from Winterfell, the commoners themselves would protect the princes, hide and lie for them. and when Sansa builds Winterfell from snow and rocks and sticks in the Eyrie, it doesn't feel right bc despite the snow which covered it from winter to summer, Winterfell itself never was cold

Anyways I guess this is like.. a redesign? mostly in order to better fit with what I’ve got going on with Fritz’ design. Aka I removed the animal heads because they’re bothersome (and confuse me), instead combining it with their hair.

Whether I’ve succeeded or not is up for debate.

Having seen this excellent post by @threecheers-forsweetrevenge, I got a bit fixated on the mention that Seb bought this one bike because Kimi advised him on it(x), and wanted to take a closer look.

So Seb got himself a custom Marcus Walz to celebrate his 2010 championship win.

So Kimi had two different bike models custom made for him by the same designer: Iceman I, and later, Iceman II, which is the one in the photo.

Iceman II was custom made to celebrate his Ferrari champion title, which makes it all the more interesting that Seb chose to celebrate his first title with the same bike model 👀

Not only that, but take a look at the bikes side by side:

The Bull and the Iceman on the side

And I don't know if this was custom written for Kimi or if it's a designer thing, but I thought it was funny that Seb had the 2010 GPs written around his seat, while the only similar text on Kimi's is "Built in Hell"

So I don't know where I'm going with this, but it's like...

Blue and red, bull and horse... Seb and Kimi.

Even their bikes look like they should be side by side.

out of the many gripes i have with the game of thrones adaptation, the lack of color in the later seasons is one of the bigger ones bc contrary to popular belief, the medieval ages werent all browns and blacks!! everyone from nobles to commoners wore colors, even if some were more difficult to obtain than others. their clothes werent limited to only furs and dark fabrics they had silhouettes and accessories and dyes and embroidery and pearls and they all wanted to feel pretty just like we do. and each region had their own style too!!! a person from the riverlands shouldnt dress like a person from the reach or the vale or especially essos and if they do there should be a reason! its such a small thing but its something that makes the world alive and for it to be butchered in such a way that i cant tell cersei's sansa's and dany's wardrobes apart in the last seasons is depressing
