Okayyyy so I just finished the Red Wall (Argus' char story)..... and I just have to say that I AM NOT OKAY. I am currently at the "seething, bubbling in the mouth, scratching the walls with blood on my nails" point of not okay. Hitting my head at the wall repeatedly for not realizing the heavy implication in the main story that the girl in the mirror that Argus shot was indeed the real Kayla. She was just so blinded by her overconfidence on her arcane skill and her preliminary hypothesis that the motel was full of supernatural stuff making her not realize that the childhood friend she's looking for is unknowingly killed by her — much like how her night blindness made her mistake a simple wall filled with apricot juice as a wall filled with human blood and animal fur. Looking back, it was so obvious too. The transformation ritual on vertin's room with Kayla's hair and the statement at Node 20 where they've said that the girl in the mirror was a real person trapped inside it (it can't be a random manus member since it was said that their current base was the bar as seen by Lilya, the only Manus members seen in the motel were Kimberly and Ms. Grace). It also makes so much sense why Tuesday made Argus shoot a "fake" Kayla in her hallucinations and cheering her on for it — it's Tuesday's way of subtly rubbing salt in the wound and mocking Argus, the one-hundred eyed giant, for being a "blind fool".

Why does everyone portray Caleb to be 'dark romance, zade meadows' coded? :/

Yeah he's got yandere traits to wanna keep her forever and for himself but he never implies that he'll hurt mc- instead expressing a fierce desire to protect her, so why do ppl write ffs Abt him being manipulative? Making him have 'rough jealous s*x' in which he's spewing a bunch of hurtful things just to manipulate mc to his liking?

I guess it's because of the initial show of possessiveness in his trailer, but literally every love and deepspace guy is possessive so why portray him so darkly?

I like that you portray him more realistically to his character and not so ooc because that's what it feels like most of the time

Hello there anon! I'm glad you think my portrayal of Caleb feels more realistic than some other interpretations. I really don't know where this concept of comparing Caleb to Zade comes from since Zade literally r**es the MC in that book and I simply can't picture Caleb doing that?

This might be a much longer response than you'd expected and I'm sorry, but I've been taking little notes as I went through Caleb's memories, anecdotes, and myth. I feel like most of the people that are portraying him in this sadistic way simply didn't read all the material and just clicked through to get the diamonds.

So let me start by saying, all the other 4 LI's met MC quite recently, meaning they had no say in her life and weren't there when the Chronorift Catastrophe occurred. They met her as an adult, when she'd had time to put herself together and act like a rational grown woman.

Caleb met her at the worst time in their lives as a child until Josephine adopted them. They trauma bonded and after all they've been through together, they're extremely possessive of each other. Not just Caleb, but even the MC as well. She's just as paranoid and possessive about Caleb as well, and this is evidenced in their memories which I will delve into shortly.

But imagine being so close and growing up with this person that you think you know like the back of your own hand. She and Caleb appeared to be quite close up until the explosion. Now MC had to deal with the loss of her second family, and possibly the love of her life. Yes, I said it. The love of her life, because after going through the memories, there's nothing that can be said to change my mind that these two weren't in some kind of relationship before Caleb's death.

Now Caleb is back. MC is wary of him, she's scared to be possessive of him like she was because she knows what it's like to lose him. Caleb has no idea where he stands in her life, and inside it's because he knows he fucked up. He realizes he wants her back, the same woman who was just as obsessed and possessive of him like how he was with her and he has no idea how to fix it.

Caleb imo slides into the tip of the yandere iceberg because of that scene in the main story where he says he'll rebuild their house in Linkon and they can move in together etc. To me, that's the effect of the chip (more to be discussed about that below), and also him literally breaking down because MC said his worst fear to his face; she doesn't need him anymore. How do you recover from having the one person you've loved for most of your life look at you with so much hate and say they don't need you? (reminded me of Sylus a little bit when he's told MC is disgusted by him) For him to be truly yandere, he would have locked her up then and there but he doesn't. He backs off, allows her to get back to her life unharmed, and he keeps himself busy with work. That doesn't look like true yandere behavior to me.

NOW. MYTH EVIDENCE. The part with the chips. The chips seem to exacerbate certain feelings that already exist and take them to the extreme, hence why people who are chipped are very emotionless and almost have a robotic character to them, perhaps to avoid the pain of being emotional. In his myth, we find Caleb actively fights the chip, and it puts so much strain on his body that he falls unconscious or goes into fits. I think that 'yandere' scene is because the chip and his body are at odds with each other. Even MC when she chips herself, finds herself being manipulative of Caleb, trying to make him think of memories that were only half-truths. They're both obsessed with each other, and without the chip, it was fine, but with chip, things get crazy.

Also, I think it's safe to say, Caleb hasn't shown yandere tendencies towards MC in the past pre explosion, beyond telling her to be careful during missions or to let her know when she got hurt. He wasn't upset because she wasn't staying at home, he's upset because she's hiding things from him (like when she lied about getting scratched by a cat pre explosion).

NOW ONTO THE MEMORIES. Because omg, there's so much evidence in the memories that Caleb realizes his limitations in his ability to care for her. In their bond memory Rain's Embrace, when MC is asleep on his shoulder, Caleb literally says something along the lines of "I promise not to be so overprotective of you." He says something similar in Endless Summer and Exclusive Aftertaste, stating he knows his tendency to protect her isn't good for either of them.

And to show how possessive MC was of him. In the memory Longtime Yesterday, we find out Caleb was super popular in college and many girls tried to befriend him by giving him bento boxes. His friends teased him saying "Miss Apple" helped him avoid having to accept the bento boxes. MC literally sulks all the way back to the airport and when Caleb asks her what's wrong she goes, "You have a Miss Apple," like that was a perfectly plausible explanation. Miss Apple turns out to be a hairtie that Caleb took from MC that has apple shaped beads on it and he wears it (presumably on his wrist) all the time, which drove away unwanted attention from other girls. MC was so upset prior to hearing this, and Caleb reassures her that he doesn't want anyone else's attention but her's.

In Borrowed Promise, which occurs when MC is still in high school, Caleb is visiting from college and MC has a fight with a friend who is a girl (important). Caleb notices she's unhappy and takes her to a fair of sorts to cheer her up and she tells him she's worried someone may not like her anymore. Caleb tries to act nonchalant but you can tell he's thinking MC has a boyfriend or a crush and he goes "their loss but oh well you're not for everyone." It's at this point she tells Caleb it's a girl and he's dumbfounded but his relief is evident.

And my favorite, Stage Observer. MC is helping Caleb empty his dorm since he's about to graduate from college and she finds an envelope tucked away in one of his books with cutesy apples on the surface. She mistakenly thinks this is a love letter and then gives a very confused Caleb the cold shoulder for the rest of her visit. Then on his graduation day, she softens and helps fix his tie as he's about to give his valedictorian speech. During this time, she admits she's scared about him finding someone else and he says he worries about her meeting someone else too, but he's happy having just her and grandma in his life. In his speech, Caleb talks about how people go through their whole looking for meaningful connections with people but he's fortunate to have found the one person he knows he can count on. Afterwards, MC runs to him and gives him what I think is their first kiss. And why does she do this? She says, "I kissed you so you can't have a girlfriend now!" Caleb is confused and then she finally admits seeing the envelope. Well guess what? It turns out the envelope actually holds a good luck charm she had sent Caleb but the cover got ruined so Caleb replaced it with the apple envelope. He teases her but the ending implies they now know how they feel for each other and that was the start of a more romantic relationship between them.

So there. MC is just as possessive and obsessed with Caleb as he is with her. He knows that and it's because he's so in tune with these feelings that to him, his actions don't seem out of line, because that's how he expects her to be with him as well. I think like the other boys, his love is limitless, he literally says, "I love you more than you realize" in his myth. He's struggling with mental health and trauma and I think people just want to downplay him for various reasons without delving into the complexity of his character, or the incredible history he has with MC, not from a past life, but in this very real, present one. He was there with her during a time when she didn't know a Xavier, a Rafayel, or a Sylus (maybe Zayne since Caleb mentions him).

There. It feels good to get this out. I will end this by saying, sure, Caleb qualifies as a dark romance, maybe a mild yandere, but definitely, nothing along the lines of Zade because I genuinely don't think he'd want to hurt MC by doing something that could hurt her or violate her consent.

“Has he been a good boy?” Sirius is sitting on his knees, scratching Padfoot’s ears (and making quite the sight while doing so).

Remus crosses his arms over his chest. “Now you're just fishing for compliments. You know damn well Padfoot’s always a good boy.”

Sirius grins up at him. “Guilty as charged.” He looks back at Padfoot who's thoroughly enjoying his ear scratches. “I know my dog is great, but I love hearing other people tell me that my dog is great also.”

“Right you are,” Remus chuckles. “How was your day at the office?”

“Dreadfully dull,” Sirius replies instantly. “Really, Remus, you made some good career choices that you now get to play with dogs all day.”

“Well, I don't get to live in a house like that.” Remus nods towards Sirius’ three-story mansion with the sprawling garden around it.

Sirius winks at him as he gets up to his feet. “Maybe if you play your cards right.”

Remus can feel his cheeks heating up.

Before, he was just amused by Sirius’ flirtatious banter, and he actually gave it as good as he got. But now, he suddenly feels flustered, at a loss for words, and wholly out of his depth whenever Sirius makes a comment like that.

After long conversations, with Sirius being the last stop on Remus’ afternoon route, and being subjected to Sirius’ sharp mind and disarming sense of humour, things have changed for Remus.

He used to think that the best part of his day would always be seeing the excitement on a dog’s face when he reaches out to unclip their leash to let them run around the park and play with their friends, but now, it's like nothing compares to seeing the excitement on Sirius’ face at the end of the day as he crouches down to greet his beloved dog after long hours the office. Remus’ days have started to revolve around the moments he brings Padfoot home, and it's becoming A Problem.

“And that's not even taking into account cold, rain, new regulations, demanding clients,” Remus continues, as if he didn't hear Sirius’ last comment.

Then Remus’ own dog, Moony, dashes forward and starts licking a tail-wagging Padfoot’s face, like he knows he has to say goodbye to his friend for now, and Remus’ heart just melts. “Oh, who am I kidding? It's bloody amazing.”

When the dogs have said their goodbyes, it's time for their owners to do so as well.

“See you tomorrow?” Sirius asks.

“Of course.”

“Great.” Sirius beams at him. “Looking forward to it.”

Remus’ heart skips a beat at those words. Yes, definitely A Problem.

Sirius has given Remus the key to the annex besides the main house, so he can pick up Padfoot, take him for a long walk, and then, by the time they return, Sirius will be back from the office and usually already waiting on them.

Sirius has actually turned the annex into a space especially for Padfoot, with water and food, several dog beds, toys, and a dog door, so he can go in and out to the yard whenever he wants. Sirius has even hung framed pictures on the walls of him and Padfoot together. A fuzzy feeling spreads across Remus’ chest upon seeing those pictures. A Problem indeed.

Padfoot immediately comes running, happily wagging his tail, brimming with excitement to go on his walk.

“Calm down, Pads,” Remus laughs, as the dog keeps circling his legs and jumping up and down. “Come on, I need to attach your leash, otherwise we can't go. Hey, what you've got there, buddy?” He spots a piece of paper neatly tucked underneath Padfoot’s collar and he plucks it out. As he unfolds it, he realizes it's a note.

And as he reads, a huge smile starts to spread across Remus’ face.

Dear Remus,

You might have noticed that my hooman has quite a crush on you.

Will you please save me from his desperate pining, and let my hooman take you out on a date?

I remembered the moment I read a novel for the first time.

The texture of the soft paper touching my fingertips. The black letters blooming on a white field. The texture of the page I folded with my hands.

「 It isn't important to read the letters. The important thing is where the letters lead you. 」

My mother, who loved books, used to say this. At least for me, it wasn't just a saying.

The gaps in the black print. My own little snow garden lay in between the letters. This space, which was too small for someone to go into, was a perfect place for a child who liked to hide. Every time a pleasant sound was heard, the letters stacked up like snow.

In it, I became a hero. I had adventures, loved and dreamt. Thus, I read, read and read again.

I remembered the first time I was about to finish a book. It was like being deprived of the world.

The protagonist and supporting characters walked off with the sentence 'They lived happily ever after' and I was left alone at the end of the story. In my vanity and sense of betrayal, my young self struggled because I couldn't stand the loneliness.

「 This... is the end? 」

Perhaps it was similar to learning about death. For the first time, I realized that something was finite.

My mother said,

「 This is the end. 」

「 There isn't anything that comes next? 」

「 There is no 'next'. 」

My mother was cold as she told me a brutal truth.

「 However, just because it is the end doesn't mean you've seen the whole story. 」

Then she gave me wise advice.

「 Yes? 」

「 Read it again. 」

Reread the finished story. As a child, I didn't know what this meant.

「 Why read a story I already know? 」

「 If you read it again, it will definitely be a different story. 」

「 ...I don't want to. 」

I was stubborn because I was afraid of feeling the deprivation again.

Then my mother said, 「 Do you want to read it together? 」

Thus, I learnt to read again.

At first, I only saw the main character's position. The second reading showed the position of the supporting character and the third reading showed the position of the enemy.

The story changed every time I read it. The story was over but it wasn't over. The story wouldn't end unless the reader gave up on the story.

I've already mentioned something here, and if you've read Emperors, you know that there have been conflicts on handling the children (more on this in the upcoming chapter of Emperors). But I'll tell you something new here, because I don't know if I'm going to incorporate it anywhere in the stories.

When the twins were around one-year-old, a little pirate alliance defied the Red Emperors by attacking islands under his name. It was the first time that Kid left birdie alone with the children on their main island, thinking that now they were old enough for her to handle by herself (and some other members of the crew). Birdie was not too happy about the situation, she wanted to send Killer to deal with the enemies, but eventually she realized how restless Kid was and gave her blessing as he promised he would be right back anyway.

Unfortunately, well... once at sea and in battle mode, Kid got a liiiittle carried away. Once they sunk whomever they needed to sink, Killer warned him that they should head back, but Kid pushed to patrol around, attack more ships that "were bordering too close" to his territories, and maybe conquer one more island. This spree lasted three days, then he realized that: a) it wasn't the same without birdie, b) he missed her and the squirts, c) he fucked up.

He tried to call her that evening, but she did not pick up. His anxiety turned into a fucking twist in his guts and he woke everyone up to head home at once. When he arrived (more than a day later), birdie did not greet him, did not speak to him, and dumped children duties on him for two days. Kid was panicked even more because he didn't even have the time to grovel properly, with the twins to handle. He was such a mess that the crew was frozen by the situation.

After a couple of days, birdie cooled off and accepted Kid's continuous attempts to get close. She said he was forgiven, they made out, and just when Kid was relaxing, she said there wouldn't be sex for the next two weeks.

So this is the legend of the Two Weeks of Hell on the Red Emperor's island.

I've just had an idea for a sequel (I like trilogies) to my first two fics, including that Gale/Lia one folks have liked.

If you've been reading either fic but especially Wild Magic, you know that Tav's about had it with Rolan, while she's also strongly missing life on the farm.

STORY IDEA: Tav, having called off her engagement with the grumpy wizard (Rolan), goes to visit Reithwin (the former Shadow-Cursed Lands) where she's been regularly corresponding with Halsin helping to build up the city's farming and agriculture. As I've hinted at in the fic, despite being a bard/rogue ostensibly, she knows a LOT about farming. She's going to eventually realize it's actually her thing and what she lives for. Withers is even going to hint it before the end of Wild Magic. Rolan, already despondent from the fact that his little siblings have grown up and left the nest (oooh Wild Magic gonna have an intense third act), is emotionally pushed over the edge by Tav leaving (he kind of had it coming though). After a short period of despondency, however, Rolan realizes everything he's worked for is worthless without family to share it with. That Lia and Cal have to live their own lives, ultimately, but he's the one who ran off Tav. So he goes to find her. Cue lots of farm shenanigans, a chance for me to shoutout my undying love for the american comedy from the 1960s green acres, and possibly a sub-plot involving a couple of the orphans that Halsin had taken with him.

I even think I already know the ending (yes it's happy!!).

(Something i've noticed in fics is the OC always giving up themselves to go be with the main character, and I REALLY want to reverse that. And yes, it's going to provide Gale/Lia and Cal/Lae'zel updates too).

I haven't felt this excited to read a fic in a long time. A Good Boy is excellent. Obviously you are already an excellent writer and your stories are all so good. But this one? I just finished part 2 and after part 1 I was already hooked.

But now with part 2 I see how sweet and caring Harry is. He might be kind of cocksure but he's also very happy to let yn take the lead. And you get some glimpses of his thoughts and he really likes her. maybe more than he should but then it sounds like she's really liking him. I love how you add in their thoughts on this - she's been missing intimacy and affection and Harry is giving it to her where Leo never did. I like that you kind of highlight how important that can be in a relationship and that she didn't even realize she'd been missing it until she slept with Harry who was so tender and attentive.

I cannot wait to see what you've got for us coming in further parts. Part 1 and 2 so far have blown me away. And I'm gonna sound like everyone else and repeat it, but I feel like you should know because you're writing and ability to hook the reader is that good, but I never thought I'd like this trope. Y/n isn't much older than Harry here but she is the stepmom and that isn't my thing.

But I do want to mention here the age gap thing too. I saw an ask from someone who said that we won't like it because we can't imagine ourselves in yn's place since she's "so much older" and we can't relate... I'm gonna say this with the nicest intent I can toward that anon but they acted like they were speaking for all of us when they very obviously don't. I'm 22 as well and I fully was able to enjoy every word written. I don't imagine myself as the main character anyway when I'm reading fic so like, it's weird that that person said "we won't like it" "we can't relate" I feel like they never even read it because i can almost guarantee if they had they'd change their mind. Also, Y/n is 27 sis. She's not "so much older" 😂 Most of my mutuals say they don't read y/n as themselves either. Anyway, don't change what you're doing just because one anon decided to try and speak for us all and tell you we wouldn't like this. As you can see WE LOVED THIS!

Woo wow!! Thank you babe! I’m so happy that you’re into this despite the trope. I am shocked by how many have loved this and all the feedback I’ve gotten so far is quite amazing.

Yes this story will follow yn’s and Harry’s thoughts about relationships and love and it’ll be a little messy because obviously. But you’re spot on! The lack of intimacy in her marriage was by design and this just really pushed her into doing something she might not have done of her marriage was secure and happy. And even though she thought she was fine, there was always something there deep down she knew she was missing. Glad you were able to pick that out.

And that anon I think was just trying to let me know why readers wouldn’t like this trope. I’m assuming at least. But it definitely did sound like they were assuming most everyone felt like they did - which we can see isn’t the case because so many of y’all did like this.

I also don’t ever think of myself as yn or reader when I’m reading (or writing) stories with reader insert. Not that there’s anything wrong with that I’m just not ever imagining it being me so I think a lot of readers can switch from Inserting themselves into the fic or being able to imagine someone else. There are some readers who cannot imagine anyone but themselves and that gets tricky with yn or reader main characters.

...okay, so i'm just going to delete this post. that's what you wish, isn't it. not to have a constructive dialogue, but to berate me into deleting what you take as a bad faith post that was mainly just me, as i've admitted, misremembering several things in a vent post and conflating it all into me thinking that, yes, confirming things outside of the main show isn't good representation for people who may be unaware that said extended material isn't very accessible.

there's one more thing, though, before i move on from this rather annoying thing. "plethora". the show knows who its main characters are, yes. the show knows where the characters are, yes. it does not have a plethora of lgbt characters. my count remains nine characters. that is less characters than the amount named in the emerald forest episodes. there have been several magnitudes more characters since then. if you wish to continue to angrily go "um, actually", and rant and rave on someone who has admitted they were wrong already, go ahead, but please do not misconstrue things i've said. ilia had a crush. adults get crushes. a "crush" is not implying juvenile feelings about anything. to imply so is, in itself, juvenile, and removes how people actually experience attraction. "ilia had a crush" is not diminishing that she fell in love with blake. it's a statement of fact. she had feelings. she had a crush.

jaune was, in fact, given a startling amount of time on-screen early on. he is the only non-team rwby character who ends up in the ever after (until it turns out neo was there the whole time, but i digress), and is in the opening for the whole volume. he kills penny (at her request). pyrrha dies for his story arc. jaune arc is a main character. you cannot just pick and choose who is a main character for your argument to work. coco and scarlet were not in the show for seven volumes, counting the first volume where they would have no reason to show up at all. by all rights, velvet has more screentime than her team leader. so, counting the main characters - rwby, ornj, and arguably qrow, that's... 2/8 or 2/9 main characters who are confirmed lgbt. if we include salem and cinder, the main antagonists, that's 2/10 or 2/11. i'm not counting emerald or neo, in this count, because that would just inflate those numbers even further.

i'm being critical of the show. i still enjoy rwby. i just have several things to point out of it that personally bug me. i was fully willing to just tag this as rwde if someone pointed it out. the fact of the matter is, you've dragged this out to a point i grew angry and tired just thinking about it, you began insulting me when i tried to clarify on points i thought you perhaps misunderstood, and yet you claim i'm the aggressor here when i made a post on my own blog about a distressing pattern i had noticed in the shows, frankly, scant lgbt representation. it would have been remarkably easy to have a scene where qrow realizes he's fallen for clover. it would have been remarkably easy to have weiss get flustered around ruby as she reconciles her mental image of ruby with the person she's becoming. it would have been amazingly easy to make ruby get a crush - my apologies, get feelings for penny. it would have been very easy to get canonical ace representation by having ren just not be interested in nora or anyone. if weiss had a little framed photo of pyrrha. if emerald actually had a confirmed crush on cinder. if sky lark was dancing with, i don't know, brawnz ni in the background of the prom episode.

if you had just told me that the post does belong in rwde without feeling the need to correct me in such a condescending tone, and then doubling down on it when i decided to accept that i was wrong and try to point out where i thought you were reading too negatively into my wording, i would not be typing out this response.

i think you're too defensive, is my point. please, for your own sake, ask yourself if this sort of behavior is actually conducive to a good atmosphere of discussion. i didn't think this was a rwde post because, it is my understanding, rwde is for explicitly anti-rwby content. a simple reply would have been enough for me to re-tag it.

okay i'm doing a recap of all of rwby's lgbt characters and of them:

blake and yang are together, but in that weird way where blake was interested when yang wasn't and vice-versa, and then they got together in canon. and then roosterteeth shuttered and was bought by viz. so we'll see how long that lasts.

Ilia, who has a crush on blake but got over it and was a villain for most of her screentime.

jaune's sister Saphron married a woman named Terra Cotta. as a reference to how Sappho of Lesbos would paint terracotta lekythoi. and then we never see her again after her one (1) episode.

may marigold, a minor character, has a throwaway line about being a trans woman and we never see her again (only trans character in rwby btw)

coco was confirmed in a book to be a lesbian. she is in no relationship, is no longer in the show, and is named after Coco fucking Chanel.

scarlet david, a side character who does not reappear in the show, is confirmed in a different book to be gay and has entered a relationship with nolan porfirio, an even less-relevant character. they are both twinks.

for fun trivia: three of team NDGO (nebula, gwen, and dew) - who are a team of canon fancharacters who appear minorly in the show - are confirmed by their creators to be asexual, but not by the showrunners. all four members of NDGO are then written to be bullies in the book where they reappear (same book where the twinks get together).

not counting the animals as nonbinary (because animals don't experience gender the same way humans do), that leaves us with:

1 bisexual (blake, because a lot of people forget her awful relationship with sun and try to forget that weird retcon with adam)

1 pansexual (yang, and i'm not sure if there's a meaningful difference in this)

4 lesbians (saphron and her wife, ilia, and coco. note that terra is essentially an accessory to her wife and all three are minor characters)

2 gay men (scarlet and nolan, who are minor characters and get together in side material)

1 trans character (may, who has a minor role and vanishes after confirming she's the only transgender character in the whole show)

"Lloyd, it's only for a few days, I'll be back on Thursday!" You told him with an eye roll. Lloyd was behind you not being in the best mood while you packed a suitcase.

"But you can't leave me alone with that little shi–" "ah! What did I tell you about calling him names?" Lloyd was mad at you for going on a trip without him – which wasn't the problem – and he had to watch your cat Aramis. The cat he bought for you.

"Sunshine, why can't I go with you?" You already told him a hundred times why.

"Someone has to watch Aramis and I can't take you on a work trip with me," you stated, "and it's a great chance to work on your bond with him!"

Lloyd huffed, he didn't need to work on his bond with the cat. His eyes drifted to the orange fur ball who sat on the kitchen aisle. Aramis tilted his head at Lloyd before hopping down from the platform.

He elegantly walked over to you nudging his head against your leg, "aww I know baby. I won’t be gone for too long and you've got Lloyd to keep you company!"

Aramis' head turned to look up at Lloyd and then back to you as if to say 'are you serious?'. You giggled and shook your head. You got up on your tiptoes and pressed your lips to Lloyd's, "I love you and I made you a list with things you have to do while I'm gone – for Aramis. I know you know how to do laundry and clean a kitchen or bathroom."

You knelt down to Aramis, scratching his head, "I'm going to miss you so much, baby! But I will be back in three days and then we will cuddle and play, sleep whatever you like!" You kissed his head and gave him a light squeeze before scratching his throat – something he absolutely loved – one more time.

Lloyd helped you get your bag to the car even though it wasn't necessary.

With one last kiss, Lloyd watched you get in the car and drive away. He sighed before going back inside not thrilled to spend his time with Aramis.

The cat sat on his scratching tree, his eyes watching Lloyd's every move.

Lloyd went to the kitchen to read the list you have him. "I have to clean your toilet? Feed you every morning and night only dry, every two days wet. She's not even gone that long! Pet him…of course, clean the sleep from his eyes…what the hell? What sleep?"

He looked over to Aramis who lifted his paw and licked it, cleaning his left eye. Lloyd noticed a little brown thing in Aramis' eyes at the corner.

Taking a tissue he walked over to the Maine Coon. Gently He tried to remove the sleep but Aramis laid his paw on top of his hand. Lloyd never realized how big the caramel-coloured paws were or how big he actually was. And he was only two, Maine Coon's grew until they were four.

"I know you might not like it but mama said I have to." You made it a habit calling him daddy in front of Aramis as if he was his dad – which he kinda was – while you had already called him that in bed.

You also forced him to call you mama in front of him. Long story short; Lloyd didn't like it but you told him it was practice for your future child, which caused him to buckle in.

"She can be so lucky I love her, what I do for her! I mean look at me watching after you." Lloyd shook his head, eyes drifting over to Aramis who laid down on the scratching tree closing his eyes. "Oh, come on, don't ignore me! I cleaned your eyes for you, I didn’t have to do that." Aramis lifted his head in response and blinked at him, Lloyd scoffed and went back to the list.

"Change the water regularly," it was marked red, "play with him," and in all capitals, "interact with him."

He wondered what that was supposed to mean, like talk to him? If yes then he did that already, then he saw the examples beneath, playing with him, talking with him, watching his favorite Show with him – the big bang theory –, give him treats, cuddle with him. All sorts of these things.

Aramis meanwhile cleaned his caramel-coloured fur and even if Lloyd would beg to differ, Aramis liked him and enjoyed his presence. The assassin was always calm around you, a whole different person and the beautiful feline could see he needed you as well as listened to you which Aramis took as advantage.

"Okay, fine. I'm gonna go and check your water, food and then get some work done not that you'd care," Lloyd told the cat, for the fact that he found it weird to talk to him or like him, Lloyd talked rather often with him in the past ten minutes.

After checking the water and food, Lloyd took his computer to sit down on the couch. He started watching TV while he worked through reports, checked the financial status and more.

The cat however sat there and watched him as he typed on the keyboard as the TV turned to the big bang theory. Lloyd didn't even notice it, too deep in his work. Aramis jumped from the scratching tree and elegantly walked over to the couch, setting his paws on the furniture he pushed himself up with his back paws.

While Lloyd only registered as Aramis sitting down anywhere the cat had other things in mind. Strutting over to said man Aramis sat himself on his lap and half on the computer causing Lloyd to groan loudly in annoyance.

"Really, damn it I was working!" gently he tried to move the orange cat to the side but he would budge, "you're like your mama ya know? Can't fight ya," with that he just sat there and unwillingly patted the pet on his lap/computer.

Later that day Lloyd had given Aramis new water and feed as well as cleaned the litter box. Now he was happy to just lay in bed and either fall asleep or watch a show or movie.

Feeling lonely Aramis followed Lloyd into the bathroom where the man brushed his teeth and went to the toilet, just as he sat down he noticed the cat in the door frame.

"Ever heard of privacy?" Aramis tilted his head and blinked at him before lifting his paw to open the door further, "yeah got it," he muttered and finished all while Aramis watched him. After everything was done Lloyd finally got to the bed which felt too empty for his liking and that was when an caramel-coloured fur ball jumped up on the bed.

"You know I had more your mama's company in mind…," he trailed off as the feline cuddled himself against Lloyd's legs.

As if on cue his phone started ringing, your name popped up and the invitation to video chat. With a big smile your boyfriend answered, "hey there sunshine," "how are my two handsome boys?" you immediately asked with the same smile.

"Good, yeah, good. We watched big bang theory, I got some work done until he sat himself on my computer and then made him food and put new water in, then he watched me pee on the toilet and now we're just laying in bed." The news that the both of them went along with one another made butterflies erupt in your stomach.

You were nervous leaving the two of them alone but that all vanished as soon as you saw them both cuddling together in bed…and Lloyd had the audacity to say he didn't like him!

Hello! I'm wondering if you'd be willing to answer a couple of my questions regarding writing. I've been feeling so stuck recently since I've had to drop out of school for financial reasons :( P.S. I admire you and your writing so much <3

Do you consider your main genre of writing to be creative non-fiction? We have similar writing styles, but I've been unable to classify what I've been putting on the page.

What advice do you have for someone who wants to start freelancing with no article writing or blog experience? What kind of projects should I be looking for and how should I create a portfolio with nothing to show?

I'm sorry you had to drop out. That environment is irreplaceable but I hope you know it's not impossible to grow as a writer without it! It's just different! and I mean that in a good way. Most of my growth happened outside of school. I know it doesn't make it all better, but I wanted you to know that I had an unconventional journey as well. I dropped out for a year for mental health reasons and it took me six years to complete my degree. So you're not alone! Anyway to answer you questions.

I consider it creative nonfiction yes. Everything I write unless specified or obvious speculation is stuff that has happened to me. My mind doesn't really work to create fiction truthfully! Every creative writing class we had to do it in I was like banging my head against a wall.

My advice would be to write a few articles or pieces for your own personal blog so you have a bit of a portfolio. when I was taking courses my teachers were saying list everything when you begin. Like it doesn't matter if its your own personal blog or whatever just list it. If they check the owner of the blog they check but then you at least have something on a resume that says hey I have XYZ experience. Do not hold back on your experience. I also had someone write out my resume with me after I graduated and we started by listing like every possible accolade I could think of. Do that for yourself too you'd be surprised what you've already accomplished even if it seems to you insignificant.

Go to Chill subs and make an account. This is like the best possible resource I wish I had it when I first began. Its a database of like genuine publications that arent just going to have your stuff sitting in their submission database for 3 years. it's user-submitted and suggested and runs on donations. But it's phenomenal if you want to begin following and finding literary mags, zines, or websites taking submissions. You can sort it by prestige of the publication if it's intimidating to submit somewhere "big" they have like up-and-coming to Paris review level. There are a lot of filters its just great. That is the one thing I would truly take away from this. USE CHILL SUBS!

What to look for is an interesting question. Look for the projects that excite you. Often literary pubs will give a theme. Notice which ones get the gears turning for you. If you were to write something right now what theme would entice you? Love? Friendship? growing up? What stories do you like to read the most and what do they all have in common? Lean into those things and write as much as you want about what you uncover. tell the same story three times three new and different ways. There are people who have made careers out of writing about friendship. You do not need to venture anywhere you don't desire to go. Personally, I love writing about love and mundanity. The everyday is so boring to some people but to me its beautiful and I write about it anyway. it took a few years for me to realize this and to feel good about doing what I wished, but it's worth it. Any anxiety that I have about writing the same thing over and over is remedied by the fact that stories set in the more we tell them. They get better and more poignant.

MY TOP ANIME FOR SUMMER 2022

Summer season is almost over and so are some of the anime series that I've watched for these past 3 months! There's not much "mainstream" anime this season which gave opportunity to some series. I tend to give almost every series a try anyway and these are some that I enjoyed watching.

6. HATARAKU MAOU-SAMA!! [THE DEVIL IS A PART-TIMER! 2ND SEASON]

I loved the first season of this anime so I already have some bias regarding this series. I'm even reading the manga so I kinda have some idea of what to expect with the anime. This would have ranked higher but I didn't like the animation that much compared with the first season. I guess that's bound to happen if it took almost a decade to create the next season. Another bias? Voice actor. I love Maou's seiyuu, Oosaka Ryouta. Yes, I've watched a lot of anime simply because of the seiyuu, so sue me!

5. ORIENT: AWAJISHIMA GEKITOU-HEN

The author of this series is the same author of Magi, Ohtaka Shinobu. As for me, I haven't watched Magi yet so I'm not expecting anything from this anime when I first started watching the first season. I only realized these shows were made by the same author when I read the manga. I prefer the art style of the manga way better but anime also did not disappoint in my opinion. I also love Naotora and Kanetatsu so there's that. I read some reviews saying they got disappointed midway because they were expecting it would be as good as Magi. But I've only watched 2 or 3 episodes of Magi and kinda stopped so this didn't stop me from continuing watching the anime and even reading the manga.

4. ISEKAI OJISAN [UNCLE FROM ANOTHER WORLD]

I already got hooked on the first episode and I am still waiting for the next episode to come for this series. I'm not a gamer and I'm not even familiar with what they're talking about when it comes to games but I still enjoyed it anyway. I guess this is one of the reasons why I loved it. It doesn't alienate people who are not familiar with the game jargon as it also focuses on Ojisan's journey in the alternate world. Also, Ojisan's interactions with the female characters from the other world are pure gold and definitely hilarious. Despite some tragic experiences here and there, the series managed to present them in a manner that would not make you feel depressed.

3. YOFUKASHI NO UTA [ CALL OF THE NIGHT]

I was already reading the manga when I learned that this will get animated. The night sceneries in the anime were so epic in every episode. The atmosphere kinda reminds me of Bakemonogatari series. I like the relationship between the main characters and I can kinda relate to the male protagonist. The story features vampires but it's not really something that can be compared to other vampire stories. Yes, Kou wants to be a vampire but he can only be one if he falls in love with Nazuna, which is a challenge because he's yet to experience it for the first time. Nazuna's past hasn't been revealed yet and I also stopped reading the manga. I will probably continue after the anime ends.

2. YOUKOSO JITSURYOKU SHIJOU SHUGI NO KYOUSHITSU E 2ND SEASON [CLASSROOM OF THE ELITE 2ND SEASON]

I already fell in love with this series when I watched the first season and I'm really thankful that the second season was made. If you've watched the first season, you already know that the male lead, Ayanokouji is trying to hide what he is truly capable of. He's quite a strategist and manipulative but his severe lack of emotion is what makes him a very interesting character. The anime only managed to show some glimpses of his past and some of the other students in Class D so I'm still dying to know if this is his nature or simply what he became due to his environment. I'd probably plan to read the light novel if ever I decided that the anime is not enough for me to satisfy my curiosity.

KUMICHOU MUSUME TO SEWAGAKARI [THE YAKUZA'S GUIDE TO BABYSITTING]

With the number of posts I made for this anime, I guess it's kinda obvious that this will be my number one. This anime never really managed to catch my attention until my sister told me about it. So my sister was like, "Aren't you gonna watch that anime with the Yakuza taking care of a kid?" and I was like, "What is that?? So cute! I'd definitely watch it!". Yeah, I know, it's typical but I really love the bad guy + cute kid combo. But setting that aside, there are a lot of aspects to love about this anime. If you hadn't noticed, the Yakuza characters here are kinda hot. Hah! And get this, they're better in manga. LOL. I also love Kirishima's relationship with the other characters. His best friend is his gay classmate and he's his "guardian angel". If that's not such a wonderful relationship, then I don't know what it is. He has his big brother Aoi and his little brother Sugihara and Kumichou and his wife is kinda like his parents! And he has his little angel, Yaeka! It's always amazing to watch how Kirishima can act disrespectful to others but would always switch to Keigo speech when talking to her. The last episode was kinda bittersweet but I still loved it anyway. So if you're looking for a slice of life, full of fluff and a bit of angst anime, then is definitely recommended!

There are still some other anime that I managed to finish this season. They're all good anime but I just decided to mention these 6. There are some that I decided I'll just watch some other time so I guess you could say that these are the series that managed to keep me waiting week after week just so I can watch one episode. Six Eared Shadow

Do you remember the analysis about Mei and Red Son? That was me, and I'm doing this again, but now about Macaque and Sun Wukong

Because what the heck why do they hate each other so much

Ok, so this... This is such a messy chaotic really chaotic mix of a few headcanons and theories I made up and it SOMEHOW turned into a fanfic that I wrote so long that other people made many similar things in meanwhile and now this sounds not original at all, but I wrote it not to keep it in my deep hidden shelf so here we go

(It's based on what I know from the lmk series. I've started to read JTTW, but I'm still not so far to get to know anything about Macaque, but I won't change anything about this theory from now on)

Let's gather some basic information for the start.

-> Macaque is made with a shadow or even he is a shadow (kinda shadow demon, the demon of shadow). I mean, shadow is not only his power, he literally is made with shadow matter. We know that because he can not only manipulate shadows but also go through walls and turn yourself into a shadow.

-> I'm not sure if someone made him or he just "poof" out of nowhere just like Sun Wukong, but according to the story he told about how close he and Monkey King used to be, there's no doubt they had some master/student relationship which later turned into almost equal partnership. What is said, Macaque followed Sun Wukong for a long time, learning a lot from him, 'being his shadow'. They grew in power together, fought together, and (as it is said) Macaque started casting as Sun Wukong shadow, which (surprisingly) looks like he did willingly. Just look at the picture - the shadow is big and bright, it’s powerful and smiling, proud of his strength. He doesn’t look like someone forced to be Sun Wukong’s shadow. It shows how much Macaque admired Monkey King, that he wasn't just a friend for him, he was his idol.

-> We all know Macaque is a shadow demon, he can easily change his appearance, he does not have to look like an evil clone of Monkey King, especially if he hates him now or something, SO even if he used to look up at Sun as his ex-student or ex-partner, and now we know he is NOT, he would prefer to not look so similar any more.

He can choose any other look, but he doesn't. Why? Well, maybe he actually cannot. Maybe this isn't an appearance he has specifically chosen, maybe this is his 'basic' comfy form and any other form would just take too much energy to keep up. And looking at the really tiny probability of two very similar monkeys just "poofing" out of nowhere, I dare to say, Macaque wasn't born (I mean like Sun Wukong or any other demon), but he was specifically created. And here is a question: on someone's purpose or not? Maybe the power of great Monkey King was so strong so the part of it just jumped from him and formed into another similar creature, but let me say it's just weird and I prefer the theory of Sun Wukong being so bored and lonely after his master's (Tripitaka) death, and he created a brother for himself from his own shadow. Just to have someone, anyone.

So Wukong created Macaque and then what? He trained him, he taught him everything he knew, maybe even he shared his powers with him. Some great great bonding time. But as Macaque said, something drew them apart. It is visible that Macaque blamed Monkey King for this, for 'forgetting him'. Before speculation of what happened then between them, let's focus on what Macaque showed us what he wants now.

We have two episodes, both show different sides of him. In season 1, Macaque's main goal is to steal Monkey King's power from Mk, and then to very specifically revenge. He visibly does not want to defeat Sun Wukong, he wants to hurt him as much as possible. Look: when Monkey King showed up, Macaque totally forgot about Mk. And then, when he's so close to defeat him, instead of that he turned to Mk and tried to kill the teenager. Mk is just a tool to hurt Sun Wukong.

And we can't forget how Macaque constantly pointed out all the weak sides of Sun, he's basically just saying on and on "you're weak, you're weak, you're so weak, I'm so strong, I'm strong, you are so weak". Which really fits the feeling of being forgotten because he was weaker and Monkey King was stronger, better, glorious and famous. Macaque really feels like that, he really tried to make Sun Wukong feel his pain by dominating him.

On the other hand, we see that Sun constantly striked off him. He said almost nothing to him, just "Aren't you bored of keep being in my shadow? It's time to give back what you've stolen" and that was fricking all. For Monkey King, Macaque is a just shadow, always behind him, something you turn around and leave behind to not see it and to forget, like an unwanted past. An unnecessary problem, that irritatingly keeps returning to him. He does not want to interact to not make even a slight more bond between them, he wants to delete him from his life forever, and omg WHY. At this end of the ep, Sun Wukong did not even mention Macaque. He really doesn't care at all (or extremely tries to not care). His HATE is almost touchable, ouch.

In season 2, Sun Wukong LEFT US ALL ALONE. Macaque showed up again, he played with Mk a bit, and... Left? That's the thing, you see, he doesn't need to hurt or kill Mk. All we see is Macaque talking about his past and then letting Mk experience something the 'hero' in the story should have felt. The guilt. When Mk interpreted his story differently, seeing himself as the warrior, Macaque corrected him. Cause he doesn't care about Mk at all. He heard how Mk told him about what hurt him, and here is a funny point, because if Macaque needs to be understood, listening to Mk and talking with him (such a simple act of empathy, they both needed it then, guh) should have been enough. Mk really felt the 'warrior' character in the story, so he understood what Macaque felt. But surprisingly, that was not what the demon carved.

Macaque chose to make Mk feel like Monkey King at the moment something drew the demons apart. He wanted to force Mk to be sorry, to apologize, to regret his mistakes, cause he failed with forcing Monkey King to feel that. But! Maybe he is not as purely innocent and poorly forlorn. We see the flashback for a half of second before Mk hit him with Staff:

We see Sun Wukong attacking Macaque who's in his demon (true) form.

Let's repeat this: Macaque felt as if a friend left him in the past. He said a friend did this to have all the "hero's glory" for themselves. We know Sun Wukong could do such a thing, especially before he met Tripitaka, but 1. In my theory Macaque is created after Tripitaka's death and 2. If (as my theory said) Sun created Macaque to not feel so lonely, he would never leave him for such a thing. So Macaque hides something for sure, something he did, something so terrible that made Sun Wukong attack him and not want to know him anymore. How horrendous thing Macaque did that made Sun Wukong choose to be alone again and to forget his dear brother he created by himself?

Back to the great bonding time, repeating speculation of "oh maybe they even share the powers" and comparing it to Macaque wanting to steal Mk's power, my theory here is saying:

Sun Wukong taught Macaque the technique of the same powers as he knew, but Macaque overused it (probably wanting to see how powerful he is, probably showing off and killing so many harmless people) doing terrible terrible things. So Monkey King took all of the powers from him and left him alone, powerless, with the last painful words: "Dont you dare to show in front of my eyes ever again". Of course Macaque was hurt, of course he didn't see why he's the bad guy, because he did not care about people at all. And of course Sun Wukong was hurt too.

Maybe he came back to the village Macaque had destroyed and following a quiet crying he found a little baby with a heart so clear and he put into him all Macaque's powers, making them sleep until the time will be right... But back to the series!

Yes exactly. Why did he destroy the lantern and leave? Why did he suddenly lose interest in teasing Mk and stop forcing him to feel guilty?

First thing, he saw Mk is ready to fight for his friends seriously. He still cared so much about them, not like Monkey King about Macaque. That was hard to swallow, that was hard to watch for the demon. That was't the thing he wanted to see. And second, the flashback. Maybe the sudden realization that he actually did something bad. Cause Sun Wukong didn’t just leave him, he cast him out. It was hard to admit that he actually deserved this (or maybe much more), it’s much easier to blame others, not yourself. So Macaque felt “that’s enough” and left. Mk brought him to this uncomfortable point of admitting the truth. Which he didn’t want to. Maybe in the following eps, he will see it, but now Macaque just isn’t ready yet. But the last talk with Mk gives me a little hope. He stopped treating him like a tool or toy, he was actually talking with him like with a person, he even warned him about Lady Bone Demon.

Maybe (maybe) one day he'll see that humans aren't just useless creatures he can carelessly kill, maybe Mk will make him care and realize what he's done, but that's just speculation in speculation, he could die before he reaches that point, maybe he is already dead....

And that's it. That is all I wrote on ao3, but in the fanfic I put much more details and I build those characters up much more than here. This is only rough rough short-saying, I'm really sorry if you read it all

How it’d be to watch animes with them

A/N: While i’m working on my Mikasa x reader royal au, this little idea came to my mind. I tried to put the links when i mentioned a specific scene and speak a little about the anime in case you don’t know it.  So here it’s: 

Warnings: Me exposing my otaku self, mentions of 18+ animes (Not hentais) 

Eren -  Kaguya-sama wa Kokurasetai: Tensai-tachi no Renai Zunousen (13+)

A / N: The main characters like each other, but none wants to confess because being the person who takes the first step would also represent being the defeated person. The anime develops in a series of plans that both elaborate to make the other confess their love.

Warnings: None

It was his idea to watch an anime together since the two of you liked it a lot. You saw no harm and agreed to go to sleep with your boyfriend on Friday night. So, you would have the dawn and the weekend to see everything.

“We could watch One piece! Everybody likes"

“In three days ?! We will not finish even if we do not take breaks ”

"Naruto then?"

“Haven't you seen it all five times or more?

"But it is a classic!"

"It is also too long!"

He would sulk when he saw you reject each of his suggestions for being too big animes. The truth was, he was trying to convince you to stay longer. After much searching in the catalog, you choose to watch a short comedy of 12 episodes.

Biggest mistake ever

Eren is already annoying by nature, and after watching Kaguya-sama's two seasons he would spend the day and night trying to get you to confess to him EVEN IF YOU'VE BEEN IN LOVE FOR TWO YEARS AND HE HAS BEEN THE FIRST TO DECLARE. HIT HIM, PLEASE.

"Do you think that using such a low trick will make me give in?"

“Eren, I just got out of the shower. What trick? Wear an outfit? ”

“Showing off your skin won't make you win”

If you wanted to play with him, great. You are going to spend the day in this little game until he gets tired and just hugs you or something because he can't spend a lot of time without touching you. But if you didn't want to, just you could use that touchy side of him against him too.

"Maybe I shouldn't show you anything else then"

"Yes, of course, do- Wait what?"

"You heard"

“NO, BABE! YOU WON! I CONFESS! I LOVE YOU"

Watching anime with him would be quite an experience. For being very verbal, Eren would be the type of person who doesn't shut up watching anything. Especially, something that makes him laugh. You would see him laughing out loud and throwing himself back on the couch or on you, whether you were with him or not. You may even complain, but it would be fun to see him react to everything as immediately and naturally as an unfiltered child.

He will sing ALL the openings for the rest of the days around the house until you are humming some without realizing it.

For some reason, can I imagine him doing Chika dance ?? Yes, please film this big bear dancing like a little girl.

Levi - Death parade

I don't see Levi watching many animes. In fact, I don't see him watching much anything at all. He would be the type of person who can't spend a lot of time in front of the television without feeling like he's wasting time. Which would result in a very selective and demanding taste.

He would always read the reviews about the film, and after watching it, he would make his own. Ever. No exceptions. Unlike Impossible-to-be-quiet-Eren, Levi would be silent to be able to capture and understand all the details. This is interesting because getting his attention is a difficult task. But once it's done, he is 100% focused on the story and immersed in the characters.

So, after reading about it, he would agree to watch Death Parade with you.

He would have low expectations at first, and if the anime failed to hold his very difficult attention in three episodes, he wouldn't even try with the rest.

So when in the first episode, all suspense and doubts left to the viewer entered Ackerman's head, he would finish the other 11 without realizing it.

As a rational person, he would love things that make him think and reflect on the proposed theme. In the case: Life and death.

For some reason, I imagine him as someone who would like to study and read philosophy as a hobby and that he would love Nietzsche? So, you could expect deep conversations after each episode.

But without any arrogance, humanity's strongest soldier might not be the most talkative man in humanity, but surely when he opened his mouth to it, it wouldn’t be to show himself off with something that he knows and you don’t. On the contrary, he would be more than happy to explain if you asked and added your opinion.

He wouldn't cry, but he would be touched by the way the emotions were shown and created in the characters.

He would probably see the scene where Decim cries more than once for being impressed with how the pain of a character who is supposedly not flesh and blood is expressed so well.

And after the anime is over, you would always see him listening to the music of the ice skating scene around the house while doing something.

When you were finished watching everything, you would talk again about the anime. You lying on his chest and he touching his hair, smelling him.

"Do you believe in reincarnation, Levi?"

“If so, I wouldn't go back to this shit a second time. No matter what they offered me ”

"Levi!"

"Unless it was to have you again"

“What a cliché” He would roll his eyes after hearing your response “But I like clichés”

Again, he wouldn't cry, but he would be thinking about how ephemeral things can be, including being alive. Then you can expect a more touchy Levi for a few days.

Jean - Banana Fish 

N / A: Another one to cry and get hurt. Banana Fish is way more than just a story about one character just is hard to define. So in case, you didn’t watch it, here’s the trailer. (18+)

You know that guy who says that no yaoi is good, it's just a way to feed a bunch of fujoshi and stuff like that? Jean. It's him. I just know it. So when you suggested Banana Fish and said it was a BL / yaoi, he would probably laugh and ignore the idea.

But after insisting a little and showing him the many compliments that both the anime and the manga received, he would accept.

At first, he wouldn't pay much attention. He really thought it would be just another bad anime. But by the end of the first episode, he would be too involved in the story to stop.

I think he would love crime novels for the same reason that Levi: To think. Try to find out how things are going to end and pick up any clues that the author has left about the ending. So the plot would hold him so much because he would make a ton of theories about the end.

He will ship Ash and Eiji with all his soul. I mean, how can he not ship? To see an anime in which the physical touch between the couple doesn't really happen and still builds a well-developed and healthy relationship would be a new experience for him.

Jean is somewhat similar to Eren in this respect. So you can expect to see him huffing in anger, cursing one of the characters, throwing a pillow away, or using it to hide a tear or two that he would let go of you. The kind of person who gets emotionally involved with the things he watches.

He would cry an entire river after watching the last episode and deny it later.

“I was not crying. The cushion fabric made my eyes itch a lot ”

Show him again and he will cry the same amount and intensity

Armin - Haikyuu

A / N: Considering all the texts on Tumblr for haikyuu characters, I’m pretty sure you know what anime it’s lol (10+)

Armin is an otaku with a license card and no one can change my mind. He would probably start watching it as a child. So, his first animes would be everyone's classics: Naruto, Dragon Ball Z, Bleach, etc.

So it would be normal that as the vast majority, he would continue to have a preference for shounen when he grew up. So it would be your idea to see Haikyuu.

He would have low expectations because he thought it would be just another anime with cute characters for everyone to be thirsty as an inverted harem. And also because the synopsis does not create a strong impression, especially for those who consume shounen daily.

"So we are just gonna see a little boy trying to catch a ball?"

“It's gonna be good! Everyone is talking about it now ”

"Does he have some superpower?"

"No"

"Something scary?"

"Armin, just give a chance!"

He would like it. Did I say he would like it? Because he would love it. The atmosphere created and well developed with such a simple plot would hold his attention well. (Is it possible to dislike Hinata in the first episode?)

It would be a great anime for him to watch because 1. It is different from what he usually sees. Unlike shounen, Haikyuu deals only with real and tangible scenarios. Of course, still with that touch of anime, but it is very easy to recognize yourself in the characters and learn from them and therefore reflect on yourself as well.

It would be great to make him think about his own insecurities and how most of them were inside his head.

He would be so immersed in the anime universe that he would have to pause the game scenes because he would be too nervous waiting for the ball to fall.

You will probably see him taking a deep breath in each drawing scene of the characters and see him truly cheering for the team as if it were a real national game.

More than that, you will see his eyes full of tears when Yamaguchi hit the serve in the match against Aoba johsai.

In fact, Yamaguchi would be his favorite character. No discussions.

Until then, you would know that she watched some anime, but nothing romantic. Never. In fact, that was her little secret.

Although common sense is that Mikasa would be cold even in a modern au (and I agree in parts). I think she would be the type of person who loves to see the sweetest and softest things to melt alone on the couch without anyone seeing. A moment for herself and a part of her that she would not show to anyone.

You would already know about her romantic side, but seeing her under the covers sighing while watching the Netflix special episode is a totally different story.

Please don’t mock her!!. She would be red enough by the time she was discovered.

When she was less shy, she would ask if you want to watch with her. She would say she saw no problem watching it with you again since doing it with you would be a different experience.

If you accept, you would spend the rest of the night in the room sharing a blanket and absorbing the soft atmosphere, the soundtrack, and the Chinese culture so present in history.

She would not speak a lot because she was paying attention, but she would hug you all the time. In the romantic scenes, she would tighten her arms around you a little and sometimes left a kiss on your shoulder.

I think she could relate to Hua Cheng's way of loving. He is always there to protect, care for and see his lover even if sometimes Xie Lian doesn't even know.

And that is what she wants to show you, that more than a girlfriend, she is also someone you can count on.

Days later, you will see her reading the rest of the work around the house because she couldn't stand to wait for a second season.

And later, SURELY melting and vibrating while watching Mo Dao Zu Shi.

RWBY Parallels:

Qrow and Winter

Spoilers for RWBY Volume 8 Finale

Now with V8Ch14, I finally have most puzzle pieces to make a post about these two. This post is up to interpretation so whether you view this in a shipping way or from a character plot perspective is all up to you. Stay kind. <3

Some parallels are obvious and don't need further explanation, for others I will go more into depth. I'm not sure if RWBY is doing this on purpose but I do hope that these parallels will matter at some point for character growth.

Both are the right hand to their head masters, trusting their judgement with their life

They were trained and put into their positions by their head masters themselves. Qrow who was a student at Beacon and became part of Ozpins inner circle. And Winter who was a student at Atlas, has the 2nd highest rank in the military and is Ironwoods right hand

-> note that we met Lionheart and he did not have anyone close in that position who'd be his 'Qrow' or 'Winter'

Both grew up in emotionally unstable environments with no proper image of family and were expected to become independent early in their childhood. Qrow who grew up with the bandits and Winter who grew up in the abusive Schnee household

They're related to the main cast and are their mentors (Qrow - Ruby/Winter - Weiss)

Qrow is like a 2nd father figure to Ruby and Winter like a mother figure to Weiss

They take their roles as mentors, caretakers and family figures and apply it to people around them. Qrow who took care of the main cast from V4 - V6 and Winter who acts like a big sister to Penny and is overprotective of people who are younger than her (like Marrow)

They're both emotionally distant and only get warm around their younger family members but also hide their true personal feelings in order to protect them

Both dealt with alcoholism, Qrow who is a former alcoholic and Winter who grew up with an alcoholic mother

They're cut of from their team. STRQ fell apart and Winter was in a former team since it's the norm for the academy. Penny told us in V7 that' she's not part of a team anymore since she works for the military and that the general told her "that she doesn't have time for friends", the same probably applies to Winter

They both are connected to magic (Qrow-> can turn into a bird, Winter - > Winter Maiden)

Ozpin and Ironwood both manipulated them. Ozpin didn't trust Qrow enough and sent him off to deadly missions and kept him in the dark. While Ironwood didn't keep secrets from Winter, her position in the military and Ironwoods knowledge of her past family life put her into a state where she is selfless and doesn't care about her life or doesn't let her personal feelings get in the way. She gets shut up by Ironwood when speaking her mind in certain situations (V3 Ozpins office, V7 Jacques Dining Table, V8 before Emerald disguised as Penny arrives)

They got both sent to deadly missions (for Winter it was in Mistral from V4-v5 and the planned bomb for the whale)

They're almost emotionally dependent on their guardians. Qrow felt like Ozpin finally gave him a purpose and a place to be. Similar to Winter where she found a father figure and a place where she felt like she could do some real good for the world.

After Qrow building up walls to not open up to people because of his semblance and Winter who was taught to keep her emotions shut her whole life, they lost their first and only friend (not counting former team members) tragically

Both also carry something that reminds them of their friends. Qrow has Clovers Pin and Winter holds the Maiden Powers

Their friends "died" in their arms/saw them before they faded

They both left (abusive) family members behind (Qrow - Raven / Winter - Parents)

They were both pretty skilled for their age (Qrow who got into the academy without going to a school beforehand and Winter's high rank for her mid-20's age)

Qrow and Winter were lied to/betrayed/dissapointed by their guardians. Ozpin hiding everything from everyone and then leaving, Ironwood giving into his paranoia and becoming controlling and threatening towards Winter (shooting people in front of her, pressuring her into staying with him, shutting her off and not listening to her, leaving his morals behind that she admired him for aka attempting to blow up Mantle, basically V8)

Manipulated and groomed into getting power to carry out dangerous jobs for them (Qrow getting turned into a bird, Winter getting the Maiden Powers)

Seeing their former home fall (Fall of Atlas and Beacon Academy)

Breaking down upon realization of what was done to them

(Qrow getting deeper into his alcoholism, Winter having an emotional breakdown and yes I don't think that Weiss was the only trigger for her to cry out. Her father figure got pushed into destructive paranoia who attempted to kill her , her best and only friend got murdered and her sister pushed into the void by the same person who again is responsible for everything that happened to her by influencing her most important guardian - and all of that within a few moments "You are going to pay - for everything that you've done" )

losing their younger family members

blaming themselves for what happens to their surroundings (Qrow with his bad luck and Winter not being able to save Weiss/anyone in the void)

Almost died (while protecting people they care about)

They have a pretty low self image and don't see themselves as deserving of anything. Winter told Penny that she doesn't deserve the powers and was just a machine. Qrow often deflects compliments and Clover even called him out on that.

If I missed any, feel free to add! So what do I think about this? Well at first there is more to them that was established but not continued. It was shown in V3 that they knew each other personally (on a 1st name basis) and had some kind of history but it didn't get addressed again after that.

Them barely interacting in V7 made me question if their build up was forgotten but on the other hand I think a lot of character interactions got the short end in V7 especially with the story. But what V7 and V8 gave us was more insight on Winter and with the fall of Ironwood and Atlas, these parallels became even clearer.

Now with Weiss and Ruby gone, I think there is the chance for the character's, especially Winter who also lost Penny and Ironwood, to step out of their character box. Winter was shown to be more than just an older sister and soldier. Now with her destiny in her hand but, at a painful cost, where does that lead her?

I think everyone knows already that V9 is going to be a detour and I don't think that it's going to be a split up like V4 but I think it could be similar to V8. It could be that Winter takes over the caretaker role like Qrow did in V4-V6. I hope it doesn't take long for him, Robyn and the Ace Ops to arrive. They still don't know what happened and I think they should work together with the Happy Huntresses in Vacuo and could perfectly function as minor characters and somewhat ending their (Happy Huntresses and Ace Ops) arc for now.

Overall I hope that we get to see Qrow and Winter grieve. They deserve it and Winter who's never been this emotional within one episode deserves to not hide it anymore. She'll have to struggle with her family and I just want her to have somebody to talk to who can relate. And after seeing all these parallels I think Qrow would be perfect for that matter and that build up from V3 would go somewhere.

hi i was reading ur tags and just wanted to share my interpretation of the whole haibara situation bc i am very emotional abt him. imo, if gege had chosen to set the manga back in 07 during gojo and nanamis teenage days, there’s no doubt in my mind that haibara would be the main character. initially u might think it would b gojo but if we follow the stereotypical shonen protag archetype, gojos abilities were already much too powerful and developed for him to make a suitable mc. in that vein, bc haibara was still learning and had vast room for improvement, along with his happy go lucky and optimistic personality and what with nanami being his angsty emo deuteragonist, he would’ve made for the most perfect stereotypical anime protag (if we also take into account gojo and geto as his powerful upperclassmen who inspire him to train harder to b more like them then it makes it even more perfect). so yes i think haibara was meant to heavily parallel itadoris character.

ur also correct in saying haibaras death was catalyst, as it led to nanami running away from the jujutsu world. haibara and nanami, while we didn’t see too many interactions between them, were pretty clearly meant to b best friends. seeing ur bsf who’s ALSO a fellow child die in battle was probably definitely hella traumatizing, and i think it made nanami realize that the jujutsu world was just taking children and placing them into the role of a savior before they were even properly equipped to deal with it. so nanami leaves yadda yadda yadda and then he comes back. and i think he sees a lot of what he saw in haibara in itadori as well. nanami doesn’t want the same thing to happen to this child who isn’t much younger than the age in which his best friend died, and so he kinda takes on the responsibility of making sure to protect what little he can. i think he kinda sees it as his second chance of sorts, a way to finally do what he couldn’t do back when he was 17 years old. so haibara appearing to nanami as he’s dying and questioning his purpose was i nanamis conscience reminding him of the one he lost, and the ones he’s still trying to save. the guilt of haibaras death never truly left him, and so by protecting this new generation of sorcerers i feel like he’s trying to combat that pain with his new purpose of being the adult he wishes he had access to when he was a kid.

(also it’s not rly clear how haibara died exactly, but the manga implies his lower half was ripped off or destroyed or smth, going by the shape of his body under the sheet in the morgue)

okay that’s all sorry for rambling i just. i get very sensitive abt haibara and nanami sometimes LMFAO

i loveee love love how such a small scene can hold incredible significance like that. although i know there is more than meets the eye, as you've explained, i love how anyone can read that and just Understand, albeit abstractly, haibara's influence . the implications it holds for nanami and nanami's motivations, and how that , in turn, affects itadori. theres something so heart rending abt that. like the perseverance of someone's legacy (?) i guess?? and while haibara didn't get a good ending, it's part of his story that moves forward with those who still have a chance . its really special !! and i love that gege decided to allude to him in that moment

i especially love that we don't have to see haibara's face to know its him. and that the simple gesture of him pointing towards itadori was enough. SOBBINGGG

Summaries: Reincarnation? Transmigration? What?... It's not the first time Marinette heard about those terms but IT'S the first time she experienced it herself! Is this a curse under the disguise of blessing? She doesn't know but she had intended to find out the truth. ...Or at least that's what she was planning... Until she realizes she's not in Paris anymore and her second life is so different on many levels! Living in Gotham? Check. A new sister? Check. No ladybug? Check, at least not yet but if Marinette isn't in Paris anymore then there'll be no Ladybug and Chat Noir in her life, yes? So she thought her life would be finally peaceful... Until she meets the Batfamily... great.

Okay before getting to the story, I need to give you AN beforehand, sorry.

AN: Hello, I'm back from the death (heh). Sorry for being gone suddenly, it's been like one or two years? Anyway, I had been busy with real-life problems... Although, finally I graduated! Now I got the inspiration to continue this story after reading some of Daminette's fanfics hehe. I won't guarantee that the story will be good since I had problems:

- English is not my first language (I had to use google translate or Grammarly for help lol), and I had a problem with how to transfer my idea into good words. I'm stressing myself out to make a good sentence. I do indeed already done with my rough drafts (it has 25 pages in total) until the ending but I'm still struggling to expand that rough drafts into chapters or to put it nicely, I don't know how to turn that rough drafts into interesting chapters lol :"). But I felt guilty if I don't post this because I've promised you and I'm not a person who likes to break a promise unless I'm forced to.

- I'm not following MLB anymore since... Cat Blanc incident (Actually I've not watched that episode too but at least I've heard about it). Not only that, I'm not following Batman's adventure too, I learned their characters only from fanfictions I've read, not including the Maribat fandom. So yeah, expect some or maybe all characters to be OOC. I'll try not to make them cringe, okay.

- The story probably would end up different from how I planned on the beginning because when I re-read it again now, I found out there's some that I don't like, or I am already bored with it so I changed it.
