There are many things wrong with me and having dreams about my obsession and pacing uncontrollably when I'm not able to consume content on said obsession is definitely one of them

the thing about labru vs kabumisu is that both of them have the same core appeal to me, specifically from kabru's side of things: kabru being someone who is constantly agonizing about social rules and putting on the right mask, and meeting this Weird Fucking Guy who does not (cannot) care about all those things, and so kabru slowly allows himself to be more genuine. they're both such good relationships (whether you view them romantically or platonically), why must there be so much hostility between enjoyers of these ships?

i cannot stand the aot fandom this is not a new take at all they are universally intolerable but oh my dayssss u are FORBIDDEN from making ANY take about the show it's actually insane to watch. 'aot is perfect' no show is perfect. 'tell me you didnt get the show 😂🫵' people have different opinions/interpretations about things. 'eren is a good guy they could never make me hate him' i think there's actually 4 seasons and two movies explicitely using him as a tool to show that no one is 'good' or 'evil' they are only trying to survive. hello. the fandom r all so far up aot's ass that they actually discredit its writing in the process and it would be laughable if it wasn't so frustrating

first official day of napowrimo!!! april 1st prompt is: poem that recounts the plot of a novel you haven't read in a while. (warning for themes of war, bombing, & past abuse)
overnight in a bomb shelter
if the world ends this week
please brush my hair
i won’t ask you to be gentle
let me walk barefoot
farther away than the eye can see
in weather cold or warm
i may bite you
sting and curse you
don’t come too close
feed me and bathe me
that’s all i ask
but bombs scream overhead
planes shriek with their engines
sirens blare from the streets
in a murky shelter
buried beneath the mud
of your childhood home
your calloused hands are soft
dropping a blanket ‘round my shoulders
reading a book in the dark
my ears ring and my hands shake
you shield me with your palms
you promise to teach me to sew
to read and write
to run and climb
in moments in the dark
where the world might end
where all i smell is mold
you treat me like a child
who has never known love
i treat you like a woman
who has never known love
and for a moment
the world feels right
as the bombs scream overhead
‘cause the world might end tonight

Luke trying to turn Percy to his side after the plot was revealed is literally The Fix of the series. We’ve been saying ‘Luke burned his bridges too soon, he tried to kill Percy instead of letting him become disillusioned’ for YEARS.
Instead of trying to kill Percy, Luke flips to ‘join me, if you’re scared of the gods, you don’t need to be.’ And when that doesn’t work, he runs. Percy is the one who initiates battle, Luke is just trying to leave with the least amount of damage, physically and socially. Unfortunately he didn’t account for Annabeth’s cap and burned more bridges than he’d liked or planned for…

NOBODY MOVE 🚨🚨🚨🚨
THEY ALL LOOK SAUR GOOD MY BOOTY HOLE IS PRACTICALLY BURSTING AT THE SEAMS 😩😩😩 wardrobe fr going to eat this time (no more potato sack dresses for my girl Rhaenyra)
(don’t really like how they’re still making it Alicent and Rhaenyra feud centered, i hope it devolves more into an Aegon vs Rhaenyra thing cuz yk, they’re the rival claimants. BUT AEMOND 🥵🥵🥵🥵 DAEMON 🥵🥵🥵 RHAENYRA 🥵🥵🥵 ALICENT 🥵🥵🥵)
small note I really love all the details like the seven pointed star window in Alicent’s panel, the dragon shadows in the window of Aegon + Criston’s panel (wonder if it’s Sunfyre or Vhagar, from the throat, it looks like it’s Vhagar but it’s quite small) and in Corlys’ and Rhaenys’ panel (not sure which dragon is that honestly. Caraxes, maybe? foreshadowing 👀)
also the sword stabbing through the Greens’ banner on Aegon’s panel!
AJNJCNJNKNCKJQNKJNEDNQLKJ SO EXCITED

I've had this rant locked and loaded for YEARS but have never figured out how to quite make it right for Instagram and this post has brought it back up for me, so here goes:
Solidarity needs to flow DOWNWARDS. Stop expecting people who are poorer than you to stand with you for YOUR causes. This is true of literally every marginalization.
If you make 65k (or jesus, 100k) and are frustrated at the people making 30k, 10k, 5k for not standing alongside you in your fight for higher wages, turn back and see what *they* need. Listen to *their* perspective.
I can almost guarantee (with few exceptions where the privilege DEPENDS on their oppression) that in uplifting the MOST MARGINALIZED, you will better your OWN experience.
We've *seen* what happens when we only focus on our own struggle and getting *our* next step up. Nothing changes and there are just new steps to climb (hello, white feminism etc).
If you want less "infighting" and more "solidarity," look back.
Listen.
We are not your enemy.
We are not the ones making us enemies.
If you want "class consciousness" and "workers solidarity," start with yourself.

I have never roleplayed shit in my life, it's really not my thing, but I will do it if it means you stop using ai bots. It shouldn't be my responsibility but I'll do it. Idc what it's for. There's not a lack of roleplayers. You'd just rather go running to a mindless computer program that steals data without permission than talk to another human being. The "no one roleplays anymore :'(" lame ass excuse doesn't work because I'm right here, and I know I'm not the only one. Just stop using ai

Glad I matured from a “Monoma is the only good character in BNHA” type 5+ years ago to “Monoma is still my favorite character but there’s no reason to put other characters down. They’re great too”

Fuck it, D&Dorks time.
Okay so genuinely, The Absence being a kid is so fucked up in the best way possible. Like Sir Superhero said that The Absence was a kid of indeterminate gender, and (correct me if I’m wrong) around 8-ish which like. Okay.
Imagine you’re this kid. You’re somewhere between the ages of eight and ten, probably. I mean 8-ish could be anywhere from a tall 6-year old to a 12 year old who’s hitting puberty late, but considering that this kid did find one of the god thrones (and because they were described as being ‘around eight’) I’m going to assume eight years as my lower limit, and guesstimate around ten-ish as an upper limit, all things considered. anyway.
Imagine going on some kind of whirlwind adventure in the chaos realm, full of fantastical things, probably, and finding a throne, sitting on it and then suddenly.
Nothing.
Nobody can remember you. Even if you talk to them even if you ask them to remember you, they just can’t. And this would be horrid enough for an adult, but you’re a kid. You’ve probably never been on your own before, you’ve never really had to go for long periods of time without someone around to take care of you. You are at an age where you actually need a lot of socialization with peers in order to not get, y’know, profoundly fucked in the head.
And this goes on for millennia. It goes on for so long that you forget your own name, you forget who you were before you were the God of Secrets.
This goes on until you find a party of adventures who come to figure out what the fuck is going on with a city that is suffering because someone broke a pact with you except surprise surprise the entire party except this one old blind dude are gods. Fledgeling gods. (Well okay no it goes on until this one dude comes and asks you to take care of the party of fledgeling gods, but lets not split differences)
And then suddenly, one of them remembers you. They give you a name that isn’t just The Absence. One of them, for some fucking reason, is lecturing you about safety and personal space like they’re your mother or something.
Like god damn no wonder Skeezvol got stolen as soon as Emmy realized that he did, in fact remember them. Isolation does shit to you, and they’ve been isolated in the most concrete sense for a long time.
also it is so fucking on brand that the ‘Kid NPC’ that this party adopted is both technically older than all of them and is also probably more powerful than all of them

The thing that consistently ties every one of the named characters in HC is the fact that they are all so so tired
Nagant explicitly says she got tired of it all, which was shown in chapter 314
Hawks jumped at the chance to leave the HC when they were in disarray, it was shown how he didn’t like doing what they wanted without any option to say no, he said he just wanted a world where Heroes have time to kill, implying that he had no time to actually rest = he was tired
Mera is shown to be exhausted from his first appearance to the last time he was seen, and one of those reasons is that the HC was terribly short staffed. His work kept him from relaxing and that surely won’t have changed now
The point of the HC is not only to show how corrupt hero society can be, but how it wears at the soul, how it burns out even the people inside of it. It’s not a good place, for the civilians OR the employees and agents
And while the chairmans haven’t been given names, they, too, also have their signs of being tired. When Nagant asks the chairman her questions, you can see how his “normal” behavior relaxes into just this weary person, like he hasn’t relaxed in decades. And given everything that chairwoman has been shown doing - turning a blind eye to the grooming, not liking anything the chairman did but continuing to work for him regardless, being someone who knew the dark truth and kept it all a secret probably up until her death - there’s no way she wasn’t tired of her work too
And it’s all under “doing what is necessary”. Hiding information away, being burdened with the dark side of a shining society, manipulating people, it’s all “necessary” and that’s shown as a bad thing
Chairman was right when he said, “This isn’t a job you can simply walk away from.”
Because they couldn’t. Most of them never did. He was killed by Nagant. Nagant was arrested and sent to jail. Chairwoman was killed. Hawks got out because the HC had no control over him when they were shut down (and he only did so because there were no orders left. so what happens when the orders start up again?), and Mera is still working there despite everything
You can’t just walk away from it. And that’s a bad thing
