Vox can understand Velvette just fine. They don't necessarily need to get along all the time, but they have a mutually beneficial contract that guarantees her support in the most efficient way possible, just how they both like it, short and strict and to the point. Vox does not understand Valentino. It drives him unimaginably, disgustingly insane. He knows how to handle him, make no mistake. Valentino is a never-ending powerhouse that wrangles out content from his employees like there's no tomorrow. He's proven himself to be Vox's most lucrative investment yet. I was not aware of this, and when I first got this ask, I assumed you were referring to yesterday's new episode. I spent a few minutes being very confused.

I eventually figured it was a Klub Outside thing, and it took me forever to track it down, but I finally did:

I mean, I guess it's nice to have it confirmed, but there's not really any new information there. I mean, its name translates to something like "freeze cloud" and she's in Squad 4. It would have been way more interesting if it wasn't (or if he'd bothered to be even the least bit of detail.) I suppose one could be optimistic and hope that he's saving the reveal for the Hell Arc (along with Iba's, whom we don't even have a name for) but I think it's more likely that he just hasn't put that much thought into it. I unironically love the way Kubo will sometimes plot out every member of Ichigo's homeroom class by hairdo, and then people will ask him this kind of stuff about actual captains and he just does big shrug arms.

Also, I've said this before, but personally, I find it a little sloppy of Kubo to end the series with three out of thirteen captains being ice users, even if he did take some care to differentiate them. Then again, there are also three captains with Dramatic Stage Magic-type zanpakutou, so maybe this sort of clumping is just a thing that happens from time to time.

okay, since Ranni is a capital H capital F High Fantasy Princess, the dramatic proposal scavenger hunt she sends the Tarnished on is *probably* Carian tradition, especially since the item description for the Discarded Palace Key says it "opens a treasure chest passed down to Carian Princesses."

Which actually just makes it funnier that to give her the ring, the Tarnished has to go through: the family dog, Ranni's senile mother, the traps Ranni has left to GUARD her senile mother, the godforsaken lake of rot ON FOOT, an enormous, creepy, human faced magic scorpion from space, and her pet dragon.

While her dad just had to go to confession and pay some indulgences to marry her mother.

quick tw for the songs, there is nothing horribly graphic but:

• lots of them mention death in some way, only with one of them it’s the main concept but it is Not taken seriously because none of this is so dw too much. Now that I think about it I’m not sure why so many of them involve death or impending doom lmao I just did a random selection of songs I had hastily written down

• there is.,,,,,gasp.,,..,two “fucks”……….shocking (lyrics aren’t actually said bc I can’t sing to save my life let alone sing on CAMERA so they’re just text on the screen. so that doesn’t really matter lmao)

• one of the songs has gratuitous descriptions of violence and cannibalism (not shocking) (it’s bingo’s song what do you expect he’s going to try to be so edgy) but nothing tooooo bad I think

• not a tw but I swear on my life. I swear on everything that I love I did not intentionally copy butcher’s vanity for bingo’s song I know they both have the same premise and one part sounds so similar but it was not on purpose it just happened you have to believe me it was an accident anGETS SHOT

• volume is iffy. I am famously super good at making sure things are done correctly (lie) so the audio is wacky. Some of it’s too quiet and some of it’s too loud. I would fix it but fixing it Ruins it. remember the roach video from last night? Yeah it did that bc I had the volume too high. So. Unless you want crusty audio on top of everything else going against this juuuust try to deal w it k thanks

• in a similar vein—some parts of the songs get BAD like NOT PLEASANT TO LISTEN TO bad. There’s an in universe explanation for it but still lmao even if the citizens of fincg island think discordant chords are So Awesome it doesn’t mean you will. Nothing too horrendous but keep that volume button on the ready so you aren’t blasted by it when it happens
