Instead of calling Bruce Wayne a capitalist, just say you have never read a Batman comic.

Or that you don't know words' meaning.

Bruce is a privileged white man, born rich and the heir to a fortune and a company. That doesn't make him a capitalist, that makes him a privileged man. Being a privileged rich man who owns a company in a capitalist society also doesn't make him a capitalist (it's the fucking meme again.) He has no power over this, he couldn't choose who he will be born as or where. He is a nepo baby, but that doesn't make him a capitalist.

The correct definition of a capitalist is: a person who uses their wealth to invest in trade and industry for profit in accordance with the principles of capitalism.

Bruce Wayne is literally famous for not doing that, because he invests his wealth in healthcare, housing, education... Literally anything Gotham needs and the gov cannot pay for. Literally nothing that he can make profit from. He doesn't care about profit AT ALL. Investing??? That's not in his vocabulary. And, btw, Bruce doesn't believe it should be a private company doing this. I'm going to use Future State: Dark Detective again, but in it, he states clearly that he thinks rich people should pay their big taxes instead of having lavishing lifestyles (he pays his, btw, and I'm sure he doesn't use the charity to pay less), and the gov should use this money to make everything better for others. And that's not the only time he says that stuff.

"But, if not capitalist, why Bruce keeps WE and money? Why doesn't he change the system?" For the latter, Bruce is one man, he cannot change the system on his own, but also, if he was able to change the evil capitalist way of the USA, the story would be over. It's just like how whatever he does, Gotham never gets better: the story would end. For the former, he keeps WE for two reasons. 1, it's his parents' legacy, that's explained multiple times, and he feels like he would disappoint them if he gives it up. 2, because he knows other rich people don't care and don't use their money for nobody but themselves, and if he gives WE up, all that money and power would end in the hands of an asshole. With him and his kids, he can trust that money to go to the people.

I don't have the energy to demonstrate again how Bruce hates rich people, just look up my posts about Bruce. I have used examples.

If you tell Bruce Wayne "The rich should be dry out, and their money should go to help people and make society better", he would say "Hell yes". That's that he CANONICALLY wants.

When you call Bruce Wayne capitalist, you are showing, at best, that you have so little reading comprehension skill that you cannot understand comic books, at worst, that you don't know shit about our economic and politic hellscape you lived in and the words you use.

This takes place in the same universe as my fic Mother of the storm and her star child.

A few years have passed and Danny is completely settled in and moved to bulhaven with dick. Eventually around the time he’s Turing 9 he insists that he wants to go out at night with dick. Dick is hesitant but Danny insist, pointing out how his abilities would make him the perfect recon detective. Dick can no longer argue when Danny beats both Damian and Cass the first day of training and he is out out in the field.

Danny hose out in his ghost form and picks the name phantom because it feels right and now nightwing patrols with a bird if his very own for the first time in a while. Danny is very good on patrols, he sticks close to dick often clinging to him and hiding behind him when dick is interacting with people. He’ll often turn invisible but it still doesn’t fell like enough to dick. He quickly released that he missed the cape and the layer of securing it added when Damien was his Robin.

So nightwing starts wearing a cape, and the people of his city starts coming up with all sorts of theories for the sudden change. The range from him practicing because he’s taking over the cowl to him hiding new gadgets. Very few have seen Danny and those who have are often not believed because, “nightwing had glowing eyes under his cape!” Is not very believable.

He doesn’t wear the cape all the time just when he has Danny, the cape is long the outside is black but the inside has a blue and black feather design so it looks like wings when he glides. It has a feature where it retracts in to a role on his back when he need more freedom of movement. And I’m addition to the cape he now has an extra loop hanging form his belt for Danny to grab on to as the hop rooftops. (Danny can will him self to weigh nothing so dick tends to pull him along as he floats any way)

As the news of dicks sudden costume adjustment is circulating he has to come to the watchtower with B for a mission. Danny tags along hiding in his cape like all the Robin had before him with Bruce. Meanwhile Bruce is totally not going all mushy over his grandson he is totally normal about this. All of the Leagers keep giving dick looks.

Until flash finally ask

Wally: so um nightwing what’s with the cape? I thought you hated them?

Dick*with a bright smile across his face*: it’s for my shadow!

Wally: your shadow? How is a cape ganna hide your shadow.

Dick: no not my actual shadow it’s to hide my bird.

Diana: your bird?

*Dick flares one side of the cape revealing the feathered pattern underneath but nothing else is visible hidden under the cape*

Meanwhile John Constantine who is present for this mission is freaked the fuck out. Because that kid with the flowing white hair and glowing freckles is definitely not human. And worse than that from what he can sense it’s pretty darn powerful to. He watches as all of his coworkers are working to get the boy out from hiding cooing over him.

So au idea Jason doesn't get adopted by Bruce Wayne but he does get adopted by A Batman....a tomorrow knight.....

So my idea is that somehow Terry mcginnis finds himself in the past of Gotham ( yes I'm going by Dcau continuity so it after after batman the animated series but before the new batman adventures is the time I'm thinking of this time misplaced.) So anyway Terry somehow find himself in crime Ally were he stumbled upon a young Jason Todd is trouble ( can't think if he's getting beat up or chase. You decide of the conflict) Terry being the hero that he is, no matter what time he's in, saves the little punk.

" you ok little guy?" Terry asked after the rescue. Young Jason is obviously ( and reasonably) scared out of his mind. Sure he has heard of the batman on the streets, even seen some photos of him in the newspapers. But batman looked like he was a demon from hell. Young Jason mind was quick change when the not batman gaved him his first real meal is week when he notices Jason stomach growled. ( How did Terry get the food might you ask ? Cause he's batman duh.)

With miraculously avoiding the young batman of the time, Terry does find a way back to his time, But a little someone tags along " come back with a souvenir, I see." The elderly Bruce Wayne says. This confused Terry so he says " what souvenir?" Then the elder Batman point his cane to Terrys leg so were young Jason Todd is hanging off of.

( it a good thing to mention that this is a little after return of the joker so old Timmy todd is here.) everyone is obviously freaking out. A literal child from 40 ish in the past is in their present. Tim recognized Jason Todd as they grew up together in crime Ally and the fact both their dad's worked for two face back in the day. Tim remembers Jason disappearing two weeks after Jasons dad got arrested and a year before he became Robin.

This is bad that means that Jason was ment to be here and if they send him back it could cause a time paradox. The question was now was what to do with the little punk. Tim thinks that Jason should go with him given their history. He's pretty sure that his wife wouldn't mind having an other kid around the house. Barbara even volunteers giving that her and Sam never had kids of their own. But Jason has already got attached to Terry and with won't let go of him, no matter how the other have try. He has already has chosen him emotional support batman. So Terry makes a decision....

Later Dana gets a call from Terry to meet up her at some place. When Dana gets there Terry says " I should of told you this a while ago but I'm batman." And before Dana has time to process this Terry then says " and I've recently become an teen father." Then he pulls out Jason from nowhere. " This is Jason my adoption son." ( "Dana meet our adopted son Jason." Terry probably.) Dana then also adopted Jason seeing that the little guy is so cute. It was also weird when Terry went home to explain to his mom and brother that they were now a grandma and uncle. ( Even when the child was around Matt's age.) max was also surprised with she Heard the story

Bruce legally has custody of Jason,until Terry turn 18 in a couple of months. Bruce is now Jason grandpa in this au and with tim and Barbara are his aunt's and uncles. ( I haven't decided if Jason becomes Terry Robin or not. It's your decision really. But hay at least the joker is already dead if he does)

I do love and cherish every single comment that I get, and do try to reply to them! Unfortunately I am a horrible mixture of lazy, busy and socially anxious so it doesn't happen QUITE as frequently as I would wish.

What's the fic you've written with the angstiest ending?

Oooh, I actually have an answer for this! Which I was not expecting, given that I am primarily a smut writer and have a big soft spot for characters I like getting a happy ending. The End (Animorphs, Alloran/Visser 3) has a canon compliant ending, which means it is VERY angsty.

What's the fic you've written with the happiest ending?

There are far more options here, as in my heart I am a saaaaaaaaaap. Uh, so I guess I'll go for the most recent example here. Snow on the Beach (Mycroft Holmes Series, Mycroft/Cyrus) where the two idiots involved finally figure out that they AREN'T banging in a totally platonic fashion.

Do you write crossovers?

I have written a few, but I must admit that I'm not particularly interested in them most of the time.

Have you ever received hate on a fic?

Not that much, thankfully! But I received a few deranged comments on my DC stuff back in the day. The one that most readily comes to mind was when I got accused of being homophobic for writing a genderswap fic, because the "breeders" already had enough. I write significantly more slash than I do anything else, their argument was bad.

Do you write smut? If so, what kind?

Yes, majority smut these days! And I like to think derangedly intense is my main brand.

Have you ever had a fic stolen?

Not to my knowledge! Which doesn't mean it hasn't happened, but it does mean that I am very oblivious.

Have you ever had a fic translated?

Yes! And it is an absolute lovely thrill every single time.

Have you ever co-written a fic before?

I don't think so, actually! The closest I've come is when I was into DW roleplay in my teens.

What's your all-time favourite ship?

*DEEP BREATH* Oh boyyyyyyy.

I'm going to go for my top three, all from fandoms that literally nobody other than me cares about:

Grubbs/Lord Loss (The Demonata) - one is a werewolf, one is a demon that has murdered his entire family. They're so intense about each other, it's glorious.

2.Dawn Madison/Claudius | Claudia (Vampire Babylon) - She's a vampire hunter, they're a super powerful vampire. She tortures them! And they're both messed up in the same ways and have a super interesting relationship.

3.Sera/Neriah (Guardians of Time) - soooooooo this pairing requires a LOT of legwork given that Sera starts the series off being murdered and only returns as a ghost, BUT what if she hadn't died? Or what if she was a mean ghost instead? And what if Neriah had more feelings about being the daughter of the most evil man in the universe then she's allowed in canon? There's potential there, is all I'm saying.

(I do have more recent pairings that are probably going to stick around for a good while - Kyoko/Naegi/Togami (from Danganronpa), Hera/Thrawn (From Star Wars Rebels) and Light/L (From Death Note) come immediately to mind - but all of these have been my OTPs for over a decade, and if they've lasted that long they're gonna be with me forever.)

What's a WIP that you want to finish but don't think you ever will?

In my wildest dreams I think that maybe one day I'll return to DCAU and finish off that genderswap fic I mentioned earlier (Lex Luthor/F!Clark Kent). It has been almost 10 years, this will never happen. But I did have a whole outline where really cool stuff happened!

What are your writing strengths?

I think I'm good at dialogue. I'm good at writing passion, and characters being headlong in love with each other. And I'm good at following deranged premises through to their logical conclusion!

What are your writing weaknesses?

I hate editing, so I don't always do as thorough a job as I should. I've noticed upon rereading my fic that I can sometimes have a tendency to have characters speechify at each other instead of actually talking like normal human beings.

What are your thoughts on writing dialogue in other languages in a fic?

I have nothing against other people doing it, I think it can be done well, but I don't generally tend to do it myself. Unfortunately I only speak English fluently, with a tiny bit of Welsh on the side, so I just wouldn't feel confident enough to do it.

What was the first fandom you wrote for?

The first one I've got on Ao3 is Horrible Histories. The actual first one is Demonata, I think?

What's a fandom/ship you haven't written for yet but want to?

I have several outlines written up in longhand, but I really want to write something for the Danganronpa series! There are so many great pairings and possibilities, I can see myself writing a lot in that fandom next year.

“Kon-El’s 18th birthday is in one week,” The King of Krypton replied. “And I am willing to make a deal.” “A deal?” The king of Corona asked. “Yes, a deal. It had come to my attention that with the recent addition of Prince Timothy to the Gotham house both Corona and Gotham have a child of the right age to wed Kon. I propose that whichever prince can find my son and return him to me by his eighteenth birthday will receive not only my son’s hand in marriage, but also an offer of alliance to Krypton through the rest of the war.”

  Or: Tim has to go on a quest to find Kon-El and return him home, racing against Corona's prince Bernard. The winner gets an alliance between their kingdom and Krypton, and the hand of prince Kon-El in marriage. But, what happens when Tim falls in love with both princes?

Chapter 2: Meeting The Justice League

Dick pov

I was waiting for Cippia to be back with Damian while Zell made us some snacks. Cippia comes through a shadow with Damian and wags his tail when he smells bacon. He rushes off to the the kitchen to find his treat.

"So Little D, Wally tells me you're not happy about my Best-man choice."

"Tch.", he says as he folds his arms and comes over to sit on the couch. "Of course I am not happy."

"And why is that?"

"Because I am the superior choice."

"But I couldn't choose between my brothers so I thought you all could be groomsmen."

He seemed to accept that answer before asking a question, "Does Duff have a Maid of honor?"

"She asked Artemis."

"I see."

"M'gann is a bridesmaid but not sure about if she'll have more."

"I see.",

At that moment Zell came in with some brownies and milk. We spent the time just talking and eating. Damian had to leave after awhile so Cippia brought him back to the Manor. Bruce thought it was amusing how Cippia could just pop out of no where. Mostly because it scared The Flash, both Wally and Berry, both Green Lanterns, and Green Arrow during Justice League meetings between the members when he wants to hang out with Bruce as Nighthound.

Zella pov

A few days had passed and things were as normal as they can be around here. Today Gus was running the shop because Dick wants me to meet the Justice League. We were meeting them in the Batcave. I was scared but Dick, Cippia, Damian, Bruce, and Tim will be there. Jason was out of town at the moment. Batgirl was there but she didn't seem to like me very much. I didn't know why Barbara seemed to dislike me so much. From what I understand, she and Dick broke up a long time ago.

I was in my costume and so was Cippia. He likes to chase The Flash because he can jump from shadow to shadow to try tackle him. The fast movement makes him think Flash is playing tag. But his favorite heroes are me, Nightwing, and Robin. Red Hood is his second favorite with Red Robin. He still doesn't exactly like Batman but he'll tolerate him.

"It will be fine.", Dick says taking my hand. He smiles at me as he rubs circles on the back of my hand with his thumb.

"I guess.", I replied as I watch Nighthound play with Robin.

The Founders soon enter the Batcave and I gulp. Bruce walks up to them.

"Superman", he says in his Batman voice.

"Batman.", Superman responds before noticing me.

When he did, I hid behind Nightwing. Superman gives me a small, warm smile as he walks towards us.

"So you must be Phantasma."

"Yeah this is Tasma.", Nightwing says with a smile before moving so he could wrap an arm around me.

"Tasma?", Superman asked confused.

"My nickname for her."

We hear Flash yelling as well as barking before a thud. We turn to look at the scene.

"I think Nighthound missed me....", Flash says with a laugh as Cippia decided to use his big form to play with Flash. Flash was trapped underneath him.

"I guess he did.", I said shyly.

"It is a pleasure to finally meet you.", Wonder Woman says.

"T-thank you.", I said with a blush.

"I'm glad that Luthor won't be after you anymore.", Green Lantern says.

"He won't. I made sure of it when I erased his memory.", Martian Man Hunter says.

"Good. I was hopping there is someone in the League that can help her train her powers.", Batman says. "She may be able to do more then what she learned when training with Nightwing."

"There should be."

"Good. She can start training next week."

They stood around talking with us. Robin stood to my side that Dick wasn't standing with Cippia. It looked like he was keeping an eye on me along with Dick. If either boy noticed I got too flustered or stressed, he would join the conversation.

"So you were born with your powers?", Flash asks me.

"Yes.", I replied. I felt Dick squeeze my hand to let me know he's there.

"Wow. That's cool."

"I guess."

"I'm sure you'll be just fine.", Wonder Woman says with a smile.

"Thank you.", I said.

"I'm also sure Nightwing won't anything happen to you."

"Nope. She's stuck with me.", he says as he kisses my forehead.

From the corner of my eye, I could see Batgirl scowl. I really wanted to make friends with her but I'm not sure how with her seeming to hate me.

After that they left. It was just the Batfam, me, and Cippia in the cave. I just about collapsed if Dick hadn't caught me.

"Easy there.", he says as she helps me straighten up.

"That was scary.", I said as Dick takes off his mask.

"But you lived."

"Because of Robin.", I said with a smirk.

"No fair.", he pouts.

I chuckled and peck his cheek. "You know I love you, right?"

"Yeah.", he says as she smiles.

Just then two girls came walking down the steps from the Manor. One had blond hair and the other had dark. They must be Cass and Stephanie. Dick told me about them. We started to talk and we got along better then I hoped. Since I didn't have any other bridesmaids I thought it might be good if they do it. They seemed to like the idea.

"Wonderful!", Stephanie exclaims with a huge smile on her face.

Cass just nods her head and has a small smile.

Me, Dick, and Cippia soon head home and change from our uniforms. After that, we piled onto the couch and just laid there. Cippia was laying in an armchair.

"So...you nervous about training?", Dick asks me as he held me close to him. He was laying on his back with me by his side.

"Yeah...."

"Don't be.", he says as he kisses my nose. "Bruce will be there too."

"True."

"And if something were to happen, Cippia can just find me and bring me to you."

"You're right."

"Glad you that you admitted I'm right."

"For once.", I said with a smirk.

"Very funny.", he says as he rolls his eyes.

"I would like to think I am."

"What am I going to do with you", he asks.

"I don't know.", I said with a smirk as I move to lay on his chest. I looked right at him. "I think kissing me might be a good idea."

"I think that is a wonderful idea.", he says with a smirk.

He moves his left hand to cup my cheek and kisses me deeply.
