Why the fuck is that first game I completed in my life devil may cry 4!! ( It was on human mode which I think it just easy mode but still) I blame the DMC fandom for having good taste in music. Because when they heard/ saw the opening for the new DMC anime they were blasting that shit everywhere on tic toc!!

and also maid mint for this! ( Yes the vtuber). Why because out of curiosity I watch her playthrough of DMC 1-3( thought I haven't finished watching her playthrough of DMC 3 yet)

Cole and Jewels lore

Their my Tron oc and I thought it might be appropriate to explain their lore here.

Users-

I think it would be best if I explained their user backstory first because it is deeply tied to their regular backstory.

Cole's user name is Alex Walker. He worked with his father, Jimmy Walker at Encom. Alex had a Big love for music and is a metal head. It the reason he created Cole in the first place.

Jewels user name is Akko Suzuki. She is from Encom Japan branch. She originally wanted to become a singer but don't pursue it because she don't want to disappoint her parents. Like Cole Akko has a deep love for music. She even provided the voice Banks for jewels herself.

Alex met Akko while he was visiting Japan for business. It was their they bonded over their shared love for music and evenly fallen in love...

Cole-

Cole was created to be a super advanced stereo program for concerts and to improved music listening as much as possible. ( That code word to say he was program to be loud AF) saddle Cole's user, Alex died in a tragic car accident before he could even finish him. It was Alex's father Jim who finished him. When that happened it did put a great dent in his Faith in the users.

Cole meet Yori sometime after his user died. Cole was roaming around the center of the system to clear his head when he noticed a strange program sitting on the edge looking at the sky longing. When Yori notes Cole she asked" what are you doing out here all alone. "Cole replied " I could ask you the same." Yori tell him that it reminds her of her counterpart.

It took a while for Cole to open up to Yori. Expecly given her reputation.

You see long ago Yori was one a respectable simulation problem. Rumors has it she had a hand in the defeat in the Master control program from long ago. Since her accident Yori became an out mode. Programs call her crazy because she swores she met a user.

But the more they started talking the more Cole realize that Yori was the nicest problem that he ever met and the rumors about her were exaggerated.

Once Cole explains his problem Yori adopted him faster than Batman. Comfort the Young program and gave him some advice and from that day forward they had a mother and son relationship. ( Making Cole a massive momma's boy.)

Jewels

Jewels was basically created to be a vocaloid before vocaloid existed. ( Listen if Flynn can have the idea for Wi-Fi in 1985 then Encom can creates a vocaloid in the late 80s /early 90s ) jewels was never finished because the head of Encom Japan shut down the project when Flynn disappeared. jewels haven't herd from her user ever sense. It also made her an out mode, a program with out a into function to carry.

Without the comfort of her user, jewels because cold and distant. Referring to isolated her self from other programs. An ice queen will. It was when she met Cole and fell in love with him that she started to open herself up.

Jewels and Cole met on a quiet cycle in the system. Jewels was sing to herself. What she didn't know it caught the ears of Cole who was on his way home after work. Though the song she sang was sad and had a melancholy tune it was a beautiful melody to him. Though Cole did scare her when the snucked behind her to tell her that he thought what her singing was beautiful. When Jewels got herself compost, She told Cole that she though her ability was quite a useless function and over all didn't benefit the system in anyway. Cole then responded " well I think your ability was a gift from your user. I mean you the second program a know who can sing." He then proceeded to suggest her that maybe she could use her gift to distract or bring joy to others programs when they're down.

Something changed in Jewels after that. After that day Cole would meet Jewels in the palace they met. They would talk and chat about pretty much anything. Cole would even bring his guitar to play for her. It was thank to Cole that jewels found her love of music again and Slowly jewels got out of her shell. They would travel the Encom system together meating Cole friends, Cole even introduced Jewels to Yori when they got ready close ( if you know what I mean). That is to say before they knew it they were a couple.

While Jewels had defrosted after meeting Cole she is still somewhat of an ice queen. What I mean by that is that she is pretty blunt and straight to the point, ( she is monotone over all I would say.) Jewels also has a resting bich face which makes her intimidating for other programs to approach her at first. But you could also catch her smiling around love ones. ( Expecly around her loud idiot,)

Jewels spin her time sing for other programs around the system. She expecly like to sing for other out modes like herself. To her it like easing programs out of their worry.. at least temporarily. Cole preform with her to sometimes. Jewels also likes to help Yori around

Other ( because I couldn't decide were to place them or need to to more research) -

In Cole, jewels, and Yori family dynamic. Cole is the breadwinner of the family.

Cole is really good at learning like really good. What I mean is that can learn stuff outside his programming. An example is he learn how to play a guitar from a synth program.... Maybe it not a good example but this goes to say that I think it would be unusual for programs to to learn something outside their programming in the Encom system. ( But in the grid yea 100 % sure)

Yori taught Cole how to do simulations. Cole don't have a say in the mater. Yori thought that it might come in handy one day and no son of hers wasn't gonna know how to do a simulation properly. It turned out the it really did came in handy when Cole found himself on the grid. He used it to help Beck on missions and training..

Cole can't fight for shit. He mostly his natural gift of sound to get himself out of tricky situations, using his guitar like a baseball bat also works. But since coming to the grid he really has no choice to learn how to fight properly. ( So in other words he's learning)

If I don't make it obvious, Cole don't hold the users in highest regard. He doesn't despise them by any means, he just thinks that their flawed sometimes. However he does despises Yori and jewels users for abandoning them. ( Thought he trieds not to insult Lora- one in front of Yori face. He learn the last time)

Cole and Jewels to a certain extent hates Tron guts.... Well in a way. Who he really hates is ' Yori counterpart that left the system for some reason that Yori can't remember the name or face after her accident ' aka Tron. But Cole doesn't know that to him and a bunch of other young programs in the system, Tron is just a legend. Some programs are not sure if he was even a real program that defeated the MCP. Basically his Tron biggest hater with out knowing his Tron biggest hater. Back to Cole he didn't like the fact that Yori counterpart left her all alone and think she could do so much better. ( Cole and Jewels try to set Yori on date but they never work.

As a result of Cole being an advance stereo program, he has really good hearing.

I was looking for movies to watch on hbo and i'm fucking howling at this

I watched TRON (1982) and TRON LEGACY (2010) back to back and I want to tell you what makes a TRON plot:

A counter-culture hacker has a strained relationship with the ENCOM tech company. They sit at a desk (with their back to a big laser) to poke around a computer system, then get lasered into cyberspace by a rogue intelligent program that has taken charge of its program society through militaristic cyberviolence. The hacker is briefly forced to play deathsports (video games) before fleeing into a cyberworld they don't understand, joining forces with anti-fascist cyberallies while constantly on the run, trying to get to a big glowing cyberbeam in order to get home and also defeat the rogue ai's cyberplan to spread its cybercontrol to human society. There's a cyberguy named Tron who -and this is essential- is only important to the plot once. Profit-driven tech leaders get deposed. The visuals are state-of-the-art and indulgently weird, often beautiful but also confidently overreaching their capabilities. Philosophical questions of life and meaning are raised but never explicitly explored in dialogue, though messages are ripe for extrapolating. Jeff Bridges is there and he's a pretty chill cybergod.

They should make a new one every 15 years or so forever.

Was starting to feel bad about not making any Rinzler plans in some Oh God No art that I'm drawing for Ow The Edge reasons, and then I remembered...it's Rinzler.

He's literally a 25 year old's body with a 40 something dilf's head. He does kick flips for no other reason other than It Looks Cool. He purrs like a cat and tilts his head like a dog, and only speaks in rare, primal observations. They gave him a completely face-obscuring mask, which dooms every character in any franchise to immediate Horndog Bait status regardless of actual intent. He's a digitally lobotomized servant/guard animal to a gloved sadistic bastard.

Like...He's everyone's go-to for this stuff. I think I can forgive myself if I can't figure out a way to work him in, honestly.

TRON: Legacy | 2010

I've always loved the beige, warm tones at the beginning of the film.

Sam doesn't get a lot of characterization in the movie (who does in this show, honestly?), but I feel like the opening shots have so much in such little time. Yapping about it below.

I think these opening shots talk so much about who Sam is. I have gifs coming up that are more of the apartment scene, and I think they speak volumes of who Sam is. He's running from grief. He's living life as a series of stunts. I think he's someone who wants to leave no trace, and also live on the edge, on a boundary between everything and nothing, as long as it isn't boring. He's reckless, immature at twenty-seven, and I think that his maturity could be seen as a subplot of the show. In the soundtrack, there's a parallel to Encom pt. II and Disc Wars. The scenes are parallels. He's going from being reckless just for the sake of it to having a purpose, a goal, and seeing outside of himself. It feels like his character growth is about him learning responsibility, learning to take life seriously after shoving it to the side for so long.

He's given so little characterization, that the start of the movie ends up being so dense. Every small scene says something about him.

Anyways, Sam is one of my top 3 most yappable characters. I won't shut up about him, even if none of the gifs have him directly in it, lmao. I swear the next set will.
