on the subject of loser Remus
Remus: I'm a werewolf! How are you guys not scared of me?!
Sirius: you spilled food on your clothes twice today. At breakfast.
Peter: there hasn't been a day where you haven't bumped into a corner.
James: we have a habit of picking up things that slipped from your hand.
Sirius: Remus, furry-you would trip over your own tail before you manage to land a scratch on us. no offense tho.
Remus:
Remus: none taken...I guess...

He wishes his Beloved were Dead
Were you but lying cold and dead, And lights were paling out of the West, You would come hither, and bend your head, And I would lay my head on your breast; And you would murmur tender words, Forgiving me, because you were dead: Nor would you rise and hasten away, Though you have the will of wild birds, But know your hair was bound and wound About the stars and moon and sun: O would, beloved, that you lay Under the dock-leaves in the ground, While lights were paling one by one.

The Cold Heaven
Suddenly I saw the cold and rook-delighting heaven That seemed as though ice burned and was but the more ice, And thereupon imagination and heart were driven So wild that every casual thought of that and this Vanished, and left but memories, that should be out of season With the hot blood of youth, of love crossed long ago; And I took all the blame out of all sense and reason, Until I cried and trembled and rocked to and fro, Riddled with light. Ah! when the ghost begins to quicken, Confusion of the death-bed over, is it sent Out naked on the roads, as the books say, and stricken By the injustice of the skies for punishment?

(writing fic planning docs is the ultimate form of humiliation because it makes you abruptly realise the kind of humour that you were exposed to as a child, which then imprinted itself on you forevermore.)

I dont even care if I'm being obnoxious by posting so much abt reading because I cannot even convey how incredible it feels to 1. know that its not that I can't read anymore, its that the books I was trying to read were genuinely bad 2. be able to read the beginnings of multiple different books at once, of all sorts of different genres. its so freeing! it's a weight lifted off my mind! its a new chance to get a look at the world! just today I've started nine new books and I want to continue almost all of them. physical books I think do intimidate me but ereaders are very natural for me at this point being digital, but they still look closely like paper so the screen doesn't hurt my eyes like a phone does.
