Silver lining

So, since my rejection, I've been asked if I want to be a PGCE mentor in September which my HoD thinks will give me the 'leadership' experience so I said yes (this also crosses off something from my 30-before-30 list). That will make next year a bit more bearable as the trainee will be teaching most of the HSC! 

Secondly, I’m in a good place with my teaching content to the point that now schools are closed in the UK, my Y13 content was finished and we started revising. Y12s can watch my screencast videos of Attachment and complete their Research Methods project, Y9 can complete a 16-week project and Y10 can complete their coursework and start an exam project. I also managed to give the Y13s their ‘letter to their future selves’ just before they all left which is great. 

I didn’t volunteer to go into school during the crisis - it isn’t ideal when I’m living with 2 over 75 people - and I’m happy working from home and setting/marking assignments, although not looking forward to marking 30+ page coursework online.

• in all honesty, i have slightly refrained from posting as i just feel like my photos are not ‘aesthetic’ enough? i know it sounds so pathetic and completely deviates from the actual purpose of the challenge but today i decided to ignore that voice in my head. i studied for 6 hours today, yet i still have so much to do - crazy.

The Ultimate Summer Study To Do List.

With so much work to do over the summer between Year 12 and Year 13, as well as slaving away at my ‘part- time’ job, this was an essential if I was going to be productive 😫🙂. Always include a cleaning section (so you don’t end up living amongst your own filth) and a ‘things I forgot’ because you will inevitably forget something!!
