Vestals, year 1: fall

again, a short post. Hota is working hard to earn money.

Fia is staying at home. I rearranged the festivities and changed the customs a bit, so the festival of Bona Dea would be arranged by the Vestals and celebrated here as well - way easier to keep the men out. Fia is interested in the blonde girl (Jan Tellerman, one of the default townies), but Jan is straight, so I don't think it will work out. the festival was very modest. I prepared a room for them to spend time in, but everyone wanted to eat in the kitchen. it wasn't a total disaster, though.

Initial drawings of that old man… I literally, I haven’t finished reading the book of bill yet!!! I had to stop and take a break for a week to feverishly draw fanart of myself petting fords floofy hair and giving him attention and shit…!!!! The urge was too great….!! I’ve literally. I had a crush on this guy the instant he was first REVEALED in the show, but I did not have the artistic prowess to draw good looking old men back then… but I do now… thank god… thank fucking god

Longus and Ferus, year 1: fall

both of these households don't have much going on, so I'll make a shared post.

For the Longus family, the fall starts with a tragedy. Lucia was found dead on the streets. What exactly happened to her is a mystery, but it isn't completely unexpected in this part of the city. both Nero and Risa got a wish to resurrect Lucia, but alas.

mostly, life is continuing as usual. Velius is now best friends with Kanis, so he isn't feeling as lonely. since I bought an instrument for this household, other than playing with his friend, Velius is at least gaining the Creativity skill (7 points as of now).

at the end of the fall, Portia was born; unlike Lucia, she is going to live a full life. moreover, Risa is pregnant again, and the next baby is also going to live.

funds: 6,806 → 6,934 simoleons (-900 rent, -100 burial). Nero is quite successful as a criminal :D

as for the Ferus household, the only noteworthy event is that Leona is now a child. she's Active and Nice, like Kanis, but also Sloppy, Shy and Serious.

the fall wasn't very lucrative. on two days out of four, Leo had absolutely nothing to do. funds: 4,378 → 4,019. Sagitta is pregnant again; neither spouse wants more children, only Kanis wants a new relative. maybe he wishes for a younger brother.

I've said this before, but this really was one of the greatest days of my life and one I'll remember it for years to come.

1 year ago today was the day me and @fordtato interviewed Alex Hirsch. A year on and having the chance to share this project at last with you all was an incredible moment. I'm forever gonna be grateful to Alex for his kindness and passion for the questions we asked. I also will be grateful for all the people who helped us along the way from @stephreynaart, who made the amazing art for our thumbnails, @brightdrawings for the 3D renders in the trailer and Rev, Lee and Reuben for helping in making the transcript.

But most of all, thank you to Hana. When I approached them with the idea, I never imagined it would become a collaboration to the extent it did and see us both meeting the creator of the show that changed our lives forever. Hana was not just my co-host on this interview, but a mentor, voice of reason and the literal MVP that made this all possible. Without them, I never even probably would have had 30 minutes to talk to Alex...let alone 3+ hours. Hana, you're incredible and I am forever indebted to you for all your help and support through this. This was our project and no matter what, I am forever grateful to have had you on this with me.

I still look back on this interview happy with how it came out. We got to do something few fans probably will ever be able to say they did. It's a moment I'll look back on till the end.
