it's literally not a good idea in any way shape or form but I want to get a second job in fast food
#it's not a good idea bc the wages are GARBAGE compared to retail#Macca's base rate for my age is less than half my sunday rate#and they don't get much beyond the base rate#whereas retail we have an incredible base rate AND more weekdays past 6pm and weekends (sat is the same as mon-fri 6pm#and sunday is significantly more)#and like yeah im not getting many shifts but if i were to ask for more I still wouldn't be able to work more than 4 hour shifts til july#bc my retail corporation is surprisingly ethical and extends the age limits by a lot#whereas my friend has a 7.5 half hour shift tomorrow AFTER school. on a week night 😁#which is actually horrifying and should nawwt be legal. thats school 9-3 (+20 min) then work 4-11:30 btw#like i should just wait til my birthday in july n ask for more shifts in retail but i want to try fast food#even though the pay is incredibly ridiculously bad (<10 AUD) (yes our adult minimum wage is a good ~23 but under 21 is a percentage of that#like the pay is so bad so i would earn the same or more doing wayy less hours than retail#but i kinda want to get the fast food experience bc it'll be more difficult to get hired as i age#bc i want to save up 20k for top surgery but at the rate im going it'll be difficult to have even thay#let alone savings after top surgery or money to get a car before#and as school gets more difficult it'll be harder to work more#so maybe i should just grind for a few months or til the end of the year then go back to retail exclusively?#and enjoy higher pay and some longer shifts?#but idkkk it's just such a dilemma bc i want more shifts than I'll get at retail but fast food pays so little#but i also really want the experience and to just try it out#im gonna. idk im gonna sit on it for a bit bc i want to get my legal name change sorted before i apply to any second jobs and that will#take a while#so i shall consider. draw up a timetable. write a pros and cons list#yes that sounds like a solid plan#whoop typo but im on mobile i meant 'wayy less hours IN retail'

got a good number of cds yesterday and tomorrow but also culled a bunch
#i have limited space at the moment so must be done#and also the chunk im getting rid of i dont really need or wanf#do i really need these 3 omd albums when i am happy with keeping just the singles compilation etc#and some are '10 cent cd i want to give a listen for the first time and if i like it yay i have it and if not no loss and can just donate'#becoming a bit more strict in only keeping albums i really like as a whole piece or find w skipping a bit but overall good#and some are just 'this is a notable album i havent heard so i should have' but then its like if i dont care for it... bye#so yeah i got 13 cds yesterday? and then getting rid of like 30#and then for vinyl im just getting rid of 4. im already pretty strict with records to begin with#so im good with what i have even if its comparatively small to some#records can get expensive and u cant skip so it has to be something i really like as a whole#idk ive been collecting for 4.5 years so im due to downsize stuff i dont want#ill post a haul tomorrow after tomorrow's trip#its like would i miss or get upset not having this after i get rid of it kind of thought process lol. or will i ever change my mind about it

#i start the day full of optimism and motivation - like yeah there will be challenges but i can face them!#the doubts creep in at around 11am ('but you'll feel so sad? then what?'#by 3pm im convinced that this is a terrible mistake and will ruin my life and im crazy for doing this#and by 4pm i get philosophical#its now 4:45 so by 5:30 i'll somehow gather the self control to climb out of the anxiety spiral and distract myself#thereby ensuring that im nice and refreshed tomorrow for the cycle to begin anew#why is change inevitable by the way? why do i have to grow as a person? why do people not just stay the same forever?

This settles it. I have to go to bed immediately after returning from terawih at the mosque
#i'm so fortunate to live a 3 minute walk from the mosque 🥺🥺🥺#so i plan on going to terawih everyday. excluding the times i'm on my period#that means i won't procrastinate praying isha and there'd be no reason for me to stay up after terawih#i literally slept through my alarm today and i went to bed at midnight 💀💀💀#getting up for suhoor took away 1:30h if sleep away tho#but 6:30 hours of sleep wouldnt have been so bad regardless?? i guess my sleep deficit of this week is wearing me down#but yeah anyways it's get home by around 5pm. pray dhuhr & asr. then i have about an hour until iftar#after iftar it's isha & terawih very soon#but hm yeah luckily this plan is only for today & tomorrow bc next week day light saving takes effect#so i can get up for suhoor at 5 instead of 4 like i had to today and i probably won't go to sleep after#well that also means isha & terawih will start at 9pm instead of 8 and it takes about 1:30h. meaning it's finished at about 10:30pm#so i really NEED to be consequent with my sleep time#i will have to be running at 6h of sleep constantly then i guess#well as long as i sleep in on week ends i should be fine i think#good thing is so far i haven't had to do anything lab/project related when i got home. so maybe it won't be too stressful#i think i should be fine when i bring a laptop/tablet with me and do any work that might come up while waiting for experiments#nesi rants
