“Ah yes. Alone outside,” Carlos says. “This is a likely place for you to be.”

rhaenicent starts off as such a sweet and innocent friendship as they learn and grow together, and only if they'd had more time like that they might've figured things out. but things from out of their control tore them and their childhoods apart, leaving their friendship to shrivel and sour over the next following years. But even after all these years they still hold onto that what could've been, that beautiful and loving and understanding they had that they ache and yearn to have again together. they were such important parts of each others childhood and have forever left a mark on one another, but too much has happened and they've both lost too much, their friendship and love for each other forever tarnished by grief and guilt and anger. they've hurt each other now, said things they can't take back, won't take back out of their own pride, they're not the same two girls they were and they'll never be. their relationship has festered into an unhealthy dynamic, there's things they'll never be able to forgive of each other, so many years they've gone without knowing each other and what they do know is more a distant memory of their past, they ache and ache to reach out and touch and soothe but their hands are both barbed and they claw and gash at each other, leaving a raw scab that opens again and again and never heals and the constant hurt is overwhelming but something they both seek, finding a sense of comfort in the pain. They love each other but they hate what's become of that love, they'll never stop loving each other and it'll never stop hurting.

yapping about swap au Philip for a sec cause one idea led to another my brain is EXPLODING

Okay so I had a little idea of swap au Philip being in the Boy Scouts and a little web of ideas sprung from it. So here’s all of that! Yaye!

Philip joined as soon as he could, around 10. Caleb signed him up because I imagine nether of them were social. Caleb wanted Philip to develop social skills and thought that it would be good for him to develop social skills, but Philip just went there for the hands on stuff, only really talking to others when he had to or when he needed something. In the end, he ended up with the skills he wanted AND the ability to persuade people aswell, which he put to use in the demon realm and such.

the thing is, he has a lot less of the influences that he has in the actual show. So considering that, he wouldn’t have as many obscure beliefs as he did.. Definitely still religious, but he’s more calm about it than Caleb. also switching it so that they have a 10 year age gap in this au- so Caleb is 25, Philip is 14, turning 15, blah blah blah, detail detail.

Philip is still really into animals, I imagine him and Caleb would go fishing and hunting together whenever Caleb felt like he was neglecting Philip for work and such. Also they r kinda broke. kinda living off of what their parents left and what Caleb can save up, so Philip got a summer job as soon as he could, probably working little gigs on the side. tutoring, dog walking, pet sitting.. literally probably anything but babysitting. I don’t think he gets along well with younger kids. Especially talkative ones, they drive him crazy. Bonkers. Insane.

I think that’s all I had in my head, that I remember for now. Had to wait till I get home to write it all down so I probably forgot something or my reasoning for something, urhghgh. Gonna try to draw most of this later! Yahoo!

funny story

i was using a translator online and i wanted to hear it. i haven’t heard an inhuman/ai voice in so long it jarred me. the noise seemed to scrape my ears. i hated it. it’s not that it was an ugly voice, the voice itself was fine, it was the plain lack of life in it. the way it was so deadpan. so expressionless. so inhuman. something that should not be. like a speaking corpse.

and it got me thinking, man ai sucks. ai was designed to replicate a human mind and a person’s skills, but i never saw the point. it’s like feeding everything that makes the human race unique and beautiful to something undeserving of it.

art. art is the one thing that humans have held in their hands for the entirety of their existence. be it drawing on the walls of caves or recreating renaissance paintings on clip studio, humans have made art, literally, forever. it is the mark of humanity. creation, evolution, development, sentiment. every single piece of artwork you see has had at least some amount of effort put into it. it was made with the intent to replicate something real. something that means somehing to its creator. art in all its forms has kept humans afloat for millennia. it is something that is ours, and ours only. something that, no matter how much money you spend on a machine, the machine will never duplicate. becuase a robot can never learn to be human. it can’t love like a human. can’t feel like a human. can’t create like a human.
