‼️Yap Alert‼️ Idk if this is a hot take, but whatever. So when it comes to musical theatre, I would much rather take great acting over like perfect singing during the songs. Like yes, I want the singing to be good, and you probably do have to be a decent singer to be able to act good while singing, but I’d rather listen to an average singer act their heart out while doing it than a professional trying to sound perfect.

I was thinking about this because I decided to watch a video of a live performance of Dead Mom from Beetlejuice the Musical and I ended up liking it better than the album version. In the live version it (obviously) doesn’t sound like it was recorded in a studio and so the quality of the singing wouldn’t be as good, like there were points where you could tell that she was kinda out of breath and points where she might be quieter than the album version. But where the album version gained in quality, it lost in acting. In the live version I watched, there were more “crys”, and one thing she did a lot was that she might end a note by kind of screaming, (idk how to explain it) and even though all of that makes the song sound less I guess, America’s Got Talent worthy??? Idk? It ended up feeling much more raw, like you could hear the emotions behind all of it. To me it’s kinda like, the emotions that she’s feeling during the song are messy so therefor the song being messy as well just makes sense.

Idek what I’m yapping about here but hopefully it makes sense. I’d also like to say that I’m not hating on the album version, I love it, and I know that it makes sense to tone down the acting for albums.

So a lot of the reason that people don’t like Will Roland’s Jeremy is because he “sings everything wrong” or something, and I will admit that I was kind of skeptical when I first listened to the bmc broadway album, but now I love it. As I said before, I prefer the acting being great over the singing being great, so when Will Roland makes all those goofy noises, I actually enjoy it because it adds to his character. Although I’ll say that it can feel a little out of place during some songs, and I can see why some people might not like it. One song that comes to mind where the goofy noises do add a lot to the song is Loser Geek Whatever. I think that those “I want” type songs like LGW and Dead Mom are the best to be sung…weirdly? Idk? I don’t wanna repeat myself, but, the emotions that the characters are feeling are messy so the songs being sung messily makes sense.

TLDR: It’s kinda cool when actors do weird things when singing because it makes the song feel more real.

There’s no reason why I can’t partake in the things I enjoy

just because I need to work for awhile, but I feel like I’m doing something illegal because of it lol…also I went to check in person about my application today but the store is temporarily closed for some reason, it says it will be open on Labor Day but I’m wondering why it’s closed. Is there not enough people working? If I get the job are they going to drag me through the mud to cover their asses? I shouldn’t complain, I need anything they can give me but I’m anxious. I’ve worked some very very busy jobs where there’s people waiting in a mile long line, the busiest times here would probably be the equivalent of the slowest times where I used to work (or close to). I don’t know what I’m so worried about, I probably don’t have to ask people 60 different questions just to check them out at this place and then have them get pissrd off at me for doing my job lol. Why do some people think you alone, as a cashier, have full control over an entire fucking company? I’ve had people get so pissed with me because god forbid I couldn’t summon a bunch of workers to kiss their feet and carry their refrigerators to their house, or I’d ask if they had two different discount things and they’d say no so I don’t fill in those things and they yell at me because I didn’t fill those discounts in because they told me they didn’t have those things. I’m just yapping and rambling at this point, typing everything that comes to my head.

I want to be sexy and cool and free and I want to make everyone online worship and adore me but unfortunately I’m a real person who is ugly and fat and broke and in extreme debt so I’m going to be miserable forever. Well, at least I’m losing weight very fast considering how I’m so fucking stressed that I can’t eat without immediately wanting to vomit.

Anyway I’m done with my yapfest, I just want to draw and feel somewhat normal in these trying times ^^

i dont yap very much cause i dont like annoying ppl but i felt like talking about it. lately ive been very demotivated from doing art to the point i barely draw cause i feel afraid of ppl getting mad at me for stylizing my art a lot. i used to post my art a lot on tiktok cause thats a decent place to gain views, im struggling to gain interactions everywhere else so, but these past year have been AWFUL in the art community on there.

ppl are very mean if you dont draw a certain way, if your anatomy isnt perfect, etc. if your on tiktok and apart of the art community im sure you know what im talking about.

my issue wasnt very big but i was picked on a lot for how i drew, so much that ppl got mad over what clothes i put on characters(someone was unhappy i put a jacket on monty ig..) and ofc, i draw freddy as a bigger guy.. ppl dont like that very much.

i tried drawing more generic anime art(???) improving my anatomy and making it less stylized which is nice, but i feel burnt out for some reason when i draw these days. maybe im lazy or just bad at drawing better but i look at my older fnaf art and i miss drawing like that, i wanna return to it.

im just scared ppl will get mad at me again ;;; ppl are allowed to not like my art but they dont have to be mean about it. ive stayed off tiktok for awhile and i wanna return to my simpler artstyle, still with improvements ofc.

My in-depth take on Sprout! (just a big ol infodump)

below cut!

* His passive (Overprotective) is basically a reflection on how he treats the other toons

* He hates when the others get into arguments which means HE has to step in since he’s technically a “mediator” (he’d rather not be included in any of it, but he just wants them to stop because it’s annoying)

* The one toons usually go to when they’re having disagreements because he has a better judgement than the others in a weird way

* Gardenview had a farm built specifically for him where he grows crops and raises certain animals

* In the show, he taught kids how to care for the different types of things there and showed how hard work always paid off

* Started baking with Cosmo because he was bored and antsy from being away from his farm (became a new favorite hobby of his, opened a diner in Gardenview because of it)

* Keeps his matching charm in his room instead of wearing it because he thinks it’s too precious to bring outside

* Has a country accent, but usually masks it unless he’s really annoyed

* Has occasional back problems from working his farm a lot (Cosmo volunteered to help him with farm-work if it meant Sprout could finally take a break from it)

* “Parents” the other toons (especially toodles) even if they’re older than him, he’s just worried that they’ll get hurt when they’re doing runs (or whatever they think they’re doing gameplay wise)

* Tore up his scarf while running, but refuses to fix it (stubborn)

* Doesn’t think of his wellbeing first, only the others’ (which makes Cosmo VERY worried)

* When he catches a toon causing trouble, he scolds them while pulling their cheek (hair? whatever’s attatched to their head i have no idea)

* LOVES cooking, acts like a grandma when he hears that someone isn’t eating enough. He will stuff them with food until they have to physically run away from him
