Could i please request yandere Byakuya with a Reader who's very kind and gentle and they like to follow him around (not in an annoying way, but in an attempt to try to befriend him and make sure he is okay during the killing game, since he is kinda excluded for being an ass). Better yet, how would he react to Reader actually leaving him alone after he went too far, or was too mean to them

It’s one thing to love a meaner character through the screen but in person, it’s pretty hard

despite your inclination to maintain your usual smile and gentle actions

After a while, you just stop trying 

Too bad some may consider that your biggest mistake:

“Honestly I was hoping you’d turn up as one of the corpses during this farce; it probably would have made it even more interesting.”

That was it.

That was the last straw for you. Toko could have all his time and attention for all you care. The sheer fact you’ve put up with this for so long disgusts you. To hear your own life be spat on by the guy you’d been trying to extend a helping hand to–it was despicable. (Of him or of you, you couldn’t decide.)

“Ah, I see. Have a good night then.”

That was the last time you went out of your way to speak to him; immediately changing your schedule to accompany someone else. Since you’d been away with Byakuya you almost forgot how kind the rest of the group was.

“After that I hope you’ll indulge me and Naegi in a puzzle of sorts.”

It was refreshing. 

To be told you were actually wanted around was somehow so fulfilling.

What terrible company you’ve been keeping.

“I’d love to!” Within a matter of days you are feeling the warmth of friendly interactions; whereas the man you’re avoiding is having a….less than stellar reaction.

Crash! 

Toko was excited that her Byakuya-sama had finally chased you. A rival weak enough to be effected by words wasn’t much of a rival at all! But upon your absence in only a few hours into his daily routine Byakuya had made an intense realization. 

That he desperately desired your attention on him.

He didn’t have to actually see you skirting your routine with him to know he hated the thought of you spending any amount of time with his classmates rivals. It literally made his skin itch and his throat close up with every minute away from you. Naturally he doesn’t care that even Toko is unnerved by the tantrum he throws. Books are strewn about, the shelves dangerously leaning against one another. All of it just an emphasis of the palpable malice emanating off of Byakuya. In the middle of the ruins he just stands still. 

Alarmingly still.

Like a predator looking out. 

Are they hunting? Scoping? Contemplating the ways to torture their enemies?

No one really knows.

Even when he pulls at his hair and belts out in an uncouth laughing fit. In an instant he stops demanding Monokuma show himself this instant. He needed to find you. Now. He’ll make it a point to inform the headmaster of his own teaching. 

Because apparently you–being the kind and gentle soul you are should be able to withstand all kinds of people. Especially him. Always him. So he’ll offer his own guidance by keeping you within arms reach at all times. 

He expects you to persist against anything he can throw at you.

the time someone tried to kill you that byakuya was referring to was someone trying to break into your room two nights ago. ever since then, byakuya, who claimed he didn't care about anyone in this killing game, had been following you around wherever you went. 

"besides…" byakuya spoke up once more. "i'm not your enemy... i simply don't like you and find you annoying. but i don't care about you enough to make you my enemy" 

if anyone else had told you this, you'd just roll your eyes and tell them to leave you alone. but with byakuya, it was amusing to see how much he tried to hide that he cared about you. otherwise he wouldn't have stuck around with you all this time…

"sure, whatever you say~" you huffed amused and continued to carry on with your day, with byakuya following shortly behind you. 

he wondered how you could be this calm, when someone had tried to break into your room and potentially kill you. it seemed to him like you weren't taking the situation seriously, which worried him. not just because you were being reckless, but because he feared you might know the truth about the attempted intruder.

“Byakuya!”

The tall heir looked up from his breakfast, frowning deeply as you practically skipped over to him. 

“Do you want to sit at the main table with the rest of us?” You asked hopefully. He didn’t know why you asked, when the answer was obvious. He never joined the large table with the rest of the students. He had no interest in doing so.

“No, now leave me alone. You’re disrupting my meal.” Byakuya snapped, eyes narrowing in annoyance.

You nodded, unfazed by his rudeness, “Okay, Byakuya. I’ll come sit by you in a little bit.”

Byakuya sighed loudly, “Please don’t.”

Despite his insistence, it tugged on his heart a little to see you sit at the main table with all the others, laughing and smiling at all they said and did. Even that plankton, Mondo, could earn your laughter.

After spending some time chatting with them, you went to sit by Toko, who picked nervously at her nails while sending looks Byakuya’s way. Disgusting. Why you would spend your time with that creature was beyond him.

But then it was his turn, and you took a seat at his table, excitedly smiling up at him. His lips curled downwards. Why did you insist on spending time with everyone? He couldn’t understand it.

“How are you doing, Byakuya?” You asked, trying to strike up a conversation. He kept quiet, refusing to answer your asinine question.

You pouted a little, trying to figure out how to get him to talk, “I saw you in the library earlier- what were you reading?”

Silence.

You leaned back in your chair. Byakuya found satisfaction in the fact that you no longer tried to converse with him, turning instead to your cereal.

In a way, he enjoyed the silence between you both. It was a comfortable kind of quiet, not awkward or tense at all. Sometimes, he felt like he could stay like this forever, just you and him sitting together. 

But that was a stupid intrusive thought, one that he dismissed whenever it popped up. 

He would never admit, not to you or anyone, that he secretly enjoyed his time with you.

You poked your head through the library door, smiling brightly at him.

He felt a rush of annoyance, finally feeling himself snap, “Don’t you have anything else to do than be an annoyance, you insolent brat? Keep your nose out of my business and get lost!”

Your head snapped back as though you’d been slapped. An “oh” floated out of your mouth. Suddenly, your lip trembled and you hurried out of the room. 

Byakuya lifted an eyebrow. You had never reacted like that to his retorts before.

He couldn’t ignore the sinking feeling in his stomach.

Yandere Byakuya and Nagito: What Would Cause Them to Lash Out

Byakuya

Byakuya is not a patient man

He tries his best to remain composed

But you really get on his nerves sometimes

He buys you whatever you want, takes you wherever you want to go

At the price of never being allowed to leave his side

That’s not such a bad trade, so why do you complain about it?

You’re distant towards him, you ignore him to the best of your ability

You snap at him whenever he’s around

He wants to stay calm, he really does

But having to put up with this every day really wears him thin

When you decide to flat out ignore him, he’s had enough

He’ll pin you against a wall, his icy glare burning into you

“Why do you continue to fight me? I have everything you could possibly want or need, so why do ignore me this way? I’m all you have left, this isn’t going to get you anywhere.”

He shouldn’t have to beg for your affections

He should never have to stoop to that level

But this could go a whole different direction if you complain about your situation and act bratty towards him

Pinning you against a wall is as gentle as he gets when he snaps

But if you constantly whine and complain?

This man will straight up slap you

Once you finally shut up, he’ll lock you in a basement or a super small and dark room

He’s not letting you out until you finally decide to behave

Unlike Byakuya, he is very patient

This man worships the ground you walk on, the water you drink, the air you breathe

No matter how angry you might make him, he will never resort to physical violence

If you fight him and complain, he’ll wait until you wear yourself out

If you insult him, he lowkey loves it

But that doesn’t mean he never gets annoyed

The one thing that bothers him most is when you distance yourself from him

Yelling and insulting him didn’t work, so the only thing left to do is ignore him

After about a week of ignoring him, he’s lost his patience

Like Byakuya, he’ll pin you against the wall or floor, staring down at you with rage-filled eyes

“Tell me that you love me. Tell me that you need me. I’m all you have, so why don’t you love me?”

Once you finally say that you love him, he’s satisfied

But he’ll lock you in his basement until you fully commit to him

Byakuya Togami

When byakuya first met you, he knew he had to prioritize your safety above all. A killing game is a dangerous place and you can’t just go roaming around without his supervision, mingling with the other students. Who knows who is just trying to trick you.

If you won’t listen to his orders to stay where he can keep an eye on you, where he can guarantee your safety he might just need to take matters into his own hands and restrain you in a place only he knows.

Chiaki Nanami

Chiaki is kind of similar, if you’re putting yourself in dangerous situations, avoiding her advice she gives to you but most of all she hates when you ignore her.

She knows she can be clingy a lot especially since she’s found herself so attached to you.

She just can’t help it and your avoiding her for something she can’t control.

She worked so hard to create a trusted dynamic in your group, a group to work together in the hopes that you all can escape the island.

She did it all for you but you apparently wanted no part of it.

Maybe everyone didn’t need to get off the island after all if this is how you treat her. Perhaps she has more important things to worry about first.

Fuyuhiko Kuzuryu

I am not that confident in my byakuya so i’m sorry if my characterization sucks. Enjoy!

First off, you chose the wrong yandere to have. Well, it’s not like you chose Togami but still.

If it isn’t already obvious, he is less than approving of your actions.

The fact that he fell in love with you of all people irritates him.

The ultimate heir, with a delinquent? It’s just unheard of.

Don’t get me wrong he wants you bad but, there is no way he’s going to let it be known who he’s with.

At least not until he gets you to change your way, even though he fell in love with you, you and your delinquent self, unfortunately.

This is a perfect example of a yandere who’d be the “moral good” for the most part and, he’s dead set on ending your crime streak.

But not for the reasons you’d really think. He needs to make sure that you’re out of harms way while you’re out there, he can’t sleep without knowing that you’re completely safe.

He watches and makes sure that you don’t get into too much trouble with rival gangs that would potentially harm you, or even making sure the police don’t get involved.

This would lead to him stalking you constantly, always around the corner or so watching over you and this little delinquent gang of yours.

When he actually does talk to you, he’s posting as a good-doing citizen doing the city some justice, being the moral high ground.

He’s honestly perplexed, why would you want to be around those kinds of people when there is a guy like him promising you the world, he finds he feels that way a lot.

It’s a total double standard, he hates your group for all the destruction of property and violence but for you, you’re just different.

He knows you can be reformed, and he’ll be the one to do it, he’ll convince you to change your ways to have a better life with him.

Unfortunately, being a delinquent and all, you probably don’t have much interest in rich stuck up blonde guys.

Any attempt at an interaction with you and you straight up insult him to his face.

Normally he’d be sticking his nose up at being trash talked by such people, but it’s you.

He knows the longer you hang out with them, the more you’ll be influenced and it won’t be long until the damage is irreversible.

In other words, he wants them gone.

Similar to the canon story, he’d be the kind to find a serious crime that occurred recently and find a way to connect that with your gang, not enough to have them arrested but just enough to have them in a tight spot.

Of course that would be after securing your safety.

Having his darling arrested would be so embarrassing, even if no one but him knew.

Most likely he’d devise a plan to have you “escorted” to a location where he can convince you that it’s either you stay in here or in jail with the rest of them.

Once he has you he’ll constantly hold the threat of being able to get your gang arrested at the lift of his slender finger.

And just because you used to be a delinquent don’t think that kind of behavior will slide with Togami. After all, he is after the reformation of your demeanor to become a darling fit for the ultimate heir.

But Byakuya would rather have a marriage contract or some way else to keep you tied to him. Romancing you is probably not going to happen.

Nearly impossible. Bykauya’s stronger than he looks and he knows martial arts, so unless you’re well-trained or very strong, you have no chance of overpowering him. Byakuya’s also very intelligent, so manipulating him is nearly impossible as well.

Byakuya Togami is too good to worry about petty rivals. The only time he’d get jealous is if you’re pursuing a relationship with someone. Byakuya has a cold sort of anger- he gets quiet and his eyes darken and you feel a chill run down your spine. He’ll sometimes try to leave you alone to cool down, but other times he’ll tear into you verbally until you’re crying from his words.

•I really think that Togami would not put himself in the front lines when you're in danger, but his servants instead. If they're all incapable, he'll take the matters to his own hands.
