Random Yandere Headcanons: Character headcanons: What are their punishments like (Byakuya Togami)

His punishments 99% percent of the time are mental.

Mental is his usual go to because it is the easiest thing for him to do but that isn’t to say on rare occasions, he won’t use more physical punishments.

He will gaslight, gate-keep, and manipulate his way into making his darling think that they can’t make decisions for themselves, or they don’t know what’s best for themselves.

Another way he will terrorize their minds is by putting them in isolation, having them have basically no contact with anyone for an unknown period. A lot of the time he will not tell them how long they will be in isolation, making it even worse since there'll be no way to tell how long it’s been in the room itself.

And to top it all off after the fact he will treat it as if nothing has happened and depending on what his darling did, he may even have a reward waiting for them to further mess with their mind.

The tall heir looked up from his breakfast, frowning deeply as you practically skipped over to him. 

“Do you want to sit at the main table with the rest of us?” You asked hopefully. He didn’t know why you asked, when the answer was obvious. He never joined the large table with the rest of the students. He had no interest in doing so.

“No, now leave me alone. You’re disrupting my meal.” Byakuya snapped, eyes narrowing in annoyance.

You nodded, unfazed by his rudeness, “Okay, Byakuya. I’ll come sit by you in a little bit.”

Byakuya sighed loudly, “Please don’t.”

Despite his insistence, it tugged on his heart a little to see you sit at the main table with all the others, laughing and smiling at all they said and did. Even that plankton, Mondo, could earn your laughter.

After spending some time chatting with them, you went to sit by Toko, who picked nervously at her nails while sending looks Byakuya’s way. Disgusting. Why you would spend your time with that creature was beyond him.

But then it was his turn, and you took a seat at his table, excitedly smiling up at him. His lips curled downwards. Why did you insist on spending time with everyone? He couldn’t understand it.

“How are you doing, Byakuya?” You asked, trying to strike up a conversation. He kept quiet, refusing to answer your asinine question.

You pouted a little, trying to figure out how to get him to talk, “I saw you in the library earlier- what were you reading?”

Silence.

You leaned back in your chair. Byakuya found satisfaction in the fact that you no longer tried to converse with him, turning instead to your cereal.

In a way, he enjoyed the silence between you both. It was a comfortable kind of quiet, not awkward or tense at all. Sometimes, he felt like he could stay like this forever, just you and him sitting together. 

But that was a stupid intrusive thought, one that he dismissed whenever it popped up. 

He would never admit, not to you or anyone, that he secretly enjoyed his time with you.

You poked your head through the library door, smiling brightly at him. 

Byakuya peered at you over his book with narrowed eyes, biting back a sigh. There you were again, disturbing him.

“What are you reading?” You asked, slipping inside the room and approaching the stern male.

He felt a rush of annoyance, finally feeling himself snap, “Don’t you have anything else to do than be an annoyance, you insolent brat? Keep your nose out of my business and get lost!”

Your head snapped back as though you’d been slapped. An “oh” floated out of your mouth. Suddenly, your lip trembled and you hurried out of the room. 

Byakuya lifted an eyebrow. You had never reacted like that to his retorts before.

He couldn’t ignore the sinking feeling in his stomach.

✧General Yandere Headcanons — Togami Byakuya✧

In the beginning, Byakuya wouldn't want anything to do with you. He hates that he even has these sort of feelings for you in the first place. I will mention that it does take some time for him to actually gain these emotions towards his darling as well as accepting them. So for now, he's in denial for a good while. In the meantime, Byakuya maintains his distance from you and is rude when making conversation. It doesn't get better when he sees the hurt on your face.

However, once he finally admits to himself that he's fallen for someone like you, things change a bit. He'll still be rather harsh on some aspects, but you will notice it's not as much or impacting on your emotional/mental state. You can even swear you notice that he doesn't bring up certain things after you've shown discomfort for and the way he acts towards those who talk to you. Byakuya is very subtle with his change in behavior towards you unless you actually pay close attention.

The only reason why he doesn't like those sort of emotions coming about is because he believes that most people are only after his money and status. However, if you show him that you are certainly not looking for such, this will make him want to keep you even more. Though, there are still some topics that confuse him due to his lack of emotional understanding. To him, it's weird, having someone ask questions and talk to him genuinely. Almost refreshing in a sense, but he wouldn't admit that.

Byakuya is certainly a manipulative and possessive yandere to have. There is also a bit of controlling yandere traits within him. Other than that, he is very aware of the fact that he can't have everything he wants; there are still certain things he can't have in the world. But it's all good, he is willing to work for it, mostly because he has fought tooth and nail for his position at the top of his family's cooperation. One must work to succeed as he tells himself and he deems himself a winner in all aspects, but this sort of challenge does bring questions and slight concerns. This is a battlefield he's never been on since it deals with more emotional aspects.

Because of that, he'll come off as selfish and apathetic to you once he goes around trying to pursue you. His lack of emotional knowledge really does that for him and he'll eventually grow extremely frustrated after seeing his attempts fail. You might even not see them as attempts to win your affections, probably just him offering more to your supposed dull life, as he puts it, like he did with Makoto as a test. Unfortunately as a result, Byakuya might actually have to reach desperate measures.

For one, again, he's a possessive yandere and he isn't fond of sharing you. He's pretty confident in winning you over because of the fact that it's in his nature, so he gets a pick irritated around those who even think they have a chance with you. It almost makes him laugh and pity them. Almost. There's even a change where he'll outright tell you to keep away from those people, telling you that they're scum on the earth. To go with that, he will use any means to get those people to keep their distance from you, unless they'd like to become bankrupt or lose their jobs. They're only around you for their selfish needs; as does anyone on this planet would. That's just how his mind works.

Byakuya sees that he isn't capable anything concerning emotions, so the next best thing is to give gifts. People love it when they get what they want right? Should you refuse his offerings, he'll be slightly offended unless you give him a really good reason why. If your reasoning is unselfish, that'll just baffle him. That is something that rarely happens to him. It just makes him want to keep trying.

Sooner or later, he will take you away. However, that's only if he deems it to be his only option when all else is not getting him far. He's talked to you, even though there's no benefit out of it, so what is wrong? It still confuses him as he gets his men to discretely slip you away while you're walking home. Once you go on about questioning his actions, all he can say is, "It's all your doing. It wasn't my intention to feel the need to bring you here. If you hadn't been so keen on playing hard to get, this wouldn't have happened. I'm someone who does take enjoyment in playing certain games, especially if it's where there's something on the line. Now, stop being so bothersome about the situation. It's plain and simple; you're going to be by my side for a very long time and I'm sure one day you'll come to accept that."

☘︎︎ they’re both super different, so being stuck with Shuichi and Kokichi is super exhausting. Shuichi is sweet and tends to baby their darling while Kokichi acts like a brat and tries to monopolize all of their time before the two of them end up kidnapping their darling - which is one hundred percent Kokichi’s idea, by the way - so things can get very difficult with the two of them. Shuichi is more lenient with rules once they do kidnap their darling, while Kokichi likes to mess with their darling a bunch, so things can get kind of confusing because their rules can be different. Their whole dynamic is odd, and adding a darling into the mix is just very exhausting. Their darling just needs a break at this point. They’re the definition of whiplash.

Komahina/Kamukoma

☘︎︎ with Hajime and Nagito, things are either extremely tense or extremely chaotic, there’s no in-between with the two of them. Nagito is a very eccentric person in general, and he gushes over his hopes - being Hajime and his darling, of course - and Hajime finds that extremely annoying to listen to. Hajime tends to have a rather passive-aggressive approach towards Nagito, and their darling is often subjected to the common - yet one-sided - arguments between the two. Nagito worships both Hajime and their darling, and it’s nothing if not creepy, which in turn annoys Hajime, it’s a never-ending cycle. Hajime is more prone to isolating their darling, but this only really happens when he gets jealous, and it’s not like Nagito’s going to oppose.

☘︎︎ on the other hand, adding Izuru and Nagito into the mix is much less chaotic. Izuru is apathetic, bored with everyone and that includes Nagito, despite what their relationship might be, that’s why adding their darling is so very important. From the get-go Izuru wants them locked up. He’s all too aware of how the world works and he doesn’t find the idea of their darling dying appealing. Nagito doesn’t either, and much like with Hajime, he doesn’t do anything to stop Izuru from kidnapping their darling he’s quite supportive of the idea. It’s an odd relationship, quite frankly, and Izuru is just plain creepy, and so is Nagito so it’s just plain uncomfortable for their poor darling. Izuru is curious about the way they make him feel, and Nagito is a worshipper.

☘︎︎ with these two, things can get ugly extremely quickly because Byakuya is anything but kind towards Toko. She doesn’t mind all that much, but she wouldn’t allow him to treat their darling the same way so it’s a power struggle between the two of them sometimes, especially since Syo is added into the mix all too often. They’re both extremely smothering, but Toko takes the crown for being clingy in this relationship. She’s quite touch-starved so Byakuya has walked in on her locking down their darling in an odd cuddle a few times. He hates it, but there isn’t much he can do about it in the long run. As smothering as they both are, Byakuya and Toko are also extremely protective, so I think Toko would talk him into isolating their darling at some point.

 If Byakuya finds you crying, his first priority will be to comfort you, maybe not in the most affectionate way, but in his own way since he’s not too into physical touch. He’ll ask you what’s wrong, pull you closer to him, and try to calm you down

If your crying is light, then he’ll stroke your cheek and wipe the tears away. But if you’re crying violently, he’ll bring you into an embrace, rubbing circles on your back while cooing to you. This of course will only happen if you two are alone. He has an image

 Once your crying has stopped he will take you to his dorm so that you can tell him what happens without anyone listening

 Once he finds out, he gets mad. Really mad. He’s mad that someone would hurt his s/o, his darling. No one besides him is allowed to put a finger on you. And while this anger comes from a material place, his feelings are legitimate. Yes, he’s mad that someone would hurt someone that belongs to him, but he’s also upset that YOU’RE upset

 You can expect him to pamper you a lot more for the next few days. He’ll buy you anything you want. Even if you don’t want it, he’ll buy it. And while it is rather amusing to see Byakuya walking around with his s/o with their hair made, wearing a fancy suit/dress and nails done,  everyone knows that something has to have happened

 He’ll make sure to find the plebeian that hurt you, and once he finds them, he’s going to make a very serious threat to them. A threat that most likely scares them off. And if it doesn’t, he’ll make sure to pay someone to deal with them
