🏹Honestly, he'd warm up very quickly to you simply because you're so unashamed and proud of your inheritage. His father has told him his whole life that he should give up on his Quincy life and focus on jobs that can actually earn money and until the awakening of Yhwach, you are the only living Quincy he knows next to his father. That would make him quite protective of you, especially as he believes you to be one of the last ones of the Quincy. Very much against the thought of Shinigami anywhere near you and if he's known you before meeting Ichigo, he's all the more aloof and unfriendly to the boy and strictly against the idea of joining him in his attempt to save Rukia. It might get a little bit less worse around Ichigo and Rukia but with other Shinigami he never shakes off his guarded behavior. Despite his obsessive and controlling attitude, Uryu wouldn't be fully opposed to you being on the battlefield, although that comes with the price of him never leaving you out of his sight. He knows that you're capable with your abilities but that has never stopped him from worrying too much about you.

Kuchiki Byakuya

🌸​Byakuya is trying to be subtle about his obsession as he fully knows that this is bound to go wrong. Quincy were nearly eradicated by his kind so many years ago and you live in the human world whilst he resides in Soul Society. Feelings aren't something one can control though and it's frustrating for him. Byakuya doesn't want this really, he doesn't want to fall in love with a Quincy because even if he doesn't harbor any grudges against your kind, he just finds the concept of loving one very strange. Your pride and confidence are traits he admires in battlefield but hates outside of it as it causes you to butt heads with him very often as soon as he attempts to restrict you, draw you back from reckless fights. He's a very controlling individual if he desires to be but you aren't someone who just takes his bullshit because in your eyes he doesn't hold any power over you. You aren't even a citizen in Soul Society. The lack of control he has over you silently torments the Captain but he never shows that to others. He has to proceed more carefully as his high position is in this case not as affective as it would be with a darling who is part of Soul Society.

Soi Fon

🐝​Soi Fon is a secretive simp but she'd rather not show that to her darling in favor of maintaining her cold demeanor and her position as the Captain of the 2nd Division. She respects you a lot, she admires ans fawns silently over you when no one is watching even but she very much refuses to show that side of her to others or even around you. At least she's partially aware that it's embarrassing but that doesn't keep her from fangirling and obsessing over you anyways and sometimes she slips up with that only to do her best to cover her small mistake up as good as possible. Needless to say though, she has a fear to be abandoned by you because you're a Quincy and she's a Shinigami which means that both of you don't even reside in the same world. Yoruichi's leave has given her a lasting trauma that hasn't disappeared even after she's bonded with the woman again so she's very set on trying to keep you in Soul Society as long as possible, even though she knows that she won't be able to keep you there. Both of you get into a surprising amount of arguments because both of you have a lot of pride and won't back down if you have differing opinions.

Ishida Ryuken

◻️Ryuken and his darling are bound to get into a lot of arguments because even if both of them are Quincy, both of them have very different views on how to live. You carry yourself with pride and use your abilities to not let the memory of the Quincy die out in which case you remind Ryuken a lot of his own son. Ryuken himself has distanced himself from his heritage and doesn't indulge openly in his powers. Worst for you is that he asks you to do the same, to take a few steps back and just focus on the world you live in, on finding a job that can earn you money. He's fully aware that he's hurting your pride and your feelings but would rather prefer you having a mundane job and forgetting about fighting Hollows than risking your life in battles which won't earn you anything at all. He's trying to be reasonable with you at first but quickly turns very strict about it if you don't listen to him. If you mention as much as wanting to help the Shinigami with their fights as his own son does, he's very quick to stop you from even daring to continue such silly thoughts. If he has to restrict your abilities to stop you from being too cocky, he knows how to do so.

The tall heir looked up from his breakfast, frowning deeply as you practically skipped over to him. 

“Do you want to sit at the main table with the rest of us?” You asked hopefully. He didn’t know why you asked, when the answer was obvious. He never joined the large table with the rest of the students. He had no interest in doing so.

“No, now leave me alone. You’re disrupting my meal.” Byakuya snapped, eyes narrowing in annoyance.

You nodded, unfazed by his rudeness, “Okay, Byakuya. I’ll come sit by you in a little bit.”

Byakuya sighed loudly, “Please don’t.”

Despite his insistence, it tugged on his heart a little to see you sit at the main table with all the others, laughing and smiling at all they said and did. Even that plankton, Mondo, could earn your laughter.

After spending some time chatting with them, you went to sit by Toko, who picked nervously at her nails while sending looks Byakuya’s way. Disgusting. Why you would spend your time with that creature was beyond him.

But then it was his turn, and you took a seat at his table, excitedly smiling up at him. His lips curled downwards. Why did you insist on spending time with everyone? He couldn’t understand it.

“How are you doing, Byakuya?” You asked, trying to strike up a conversation. He kept quiet, refusing to answer your asinine question.

You pouted a little, trying to figure out how to get him to talk, “I saw you in the library earlier- what were you reading?”

Silence.

You leaned back in your chair. Byakuya found satisfaction in the fact that you no longer tried to converse with him, turning instead to your cereal.

In a way, he enjoyed the silence between you both. It was a comfortable kind of quiet, not awkward or tense at all. Sometimes, he felt like he could stay like this forever, just you and him sitting together. 

But that was a stupid intrusive thought, one that he dismissed whenever it popped up. 

He would never admit, not to you or anyone, that he secretly enjoyed his time with you.

“Byakuya!” 

You poked your head through the library door, smiling brightly at him. 

Byakuya peered at you over his book with narrowed eyes, biting back a sigh. There you were again, disturbing him.

“What are you reading?” You asked, slipping inside the room and approaching the stern male.

He felt a rush of annoyance, finally feeling himself snap, “Don’t you have anything else to do than be an annoyance, you insolent brat? Keep your nose out of my business and get lost!”

Your head snapped back as though you’d been slapped. An “oh” floated out of your mouth. Suddenly, your lip trembled and you hurried out of the room. 

Byakuya lifted an eyebrow. You had never reacted like that to his retorts before.

He couldn’t ignore the sinking feeling in his stomach.

It drove him crazy to watch you converse with everyone else normally but refuse to visit his table. To watch you turn on your heels every time he tried to approach you.

He couldn’t bring himself to say “sorry”, he’s not sure he’s ever said that word in his life. But it broke his heart to watch you drift further and further away from him.

For starters, escaping is basically him committing to an illusion. In truth, you didn’t escape, only he allowed you to run off and give the impression that you got your freedom. The minute you ran out of the house, he alerted his network. Though it broke his heart to witness how you didn’t turn back when you ran out of the compound, he smirked knowing that you were coming right back. Every step you took only played into his grand design.

All those weeks of pretending to befriend him and playing nice just so he wouldn’t suspect your reason for wanting to up and leave worked in your favour… for a while. Aizen had left for a little business trip under his guise for new recruits, and you made the most of the opportunity. Freedom flowing through your veins, you were ecstatic to return to your former life, never looking back. You could already taste the sweetness of independence.

But it happened all too fast despite the months you’d been away. One minute you were opening your front door to greet your visitors, and the next, you were being carried over his shoulder as though you weighed nothing. His grip was ironclad, unyielding despite your struggles. He didn’t care about the tears you shed, all that mattered was you at his side, where you belonged. His voice was calm, yet it held a chilling undertone that made your stomach twist. “While I am disappointed you chose to leave me when my enemies are out there, I am happy to have you back. I’ve missed you, doll.” His smirk widened as he patted your thigh, his eyes glinting with amusement at your futile resistance. “But let’s not try this again, shall we? You wouldn’t like the consequences.”

Later, he’d sit you down, his hands gently cupping your cheeks, his expression deceptively soft. “You need to understand, my love. You are mine. There’s no life for you outside of me.”

As an observant individual, he always has his eyes on your every move around the house and reading your body language the minute you decide to plan your escape. The thing was, Byakuya didn’t intervene, hoping that you weren’t so foolish to leave him, but you still attempted. It was the biggest mistake because you couldn’t make it out of your shared bedroom.

Sitting on the edge of the bed, you were mentally counting down the days until you made your move to escape, all the while fighting to keep up the distant-loving lover act for him. Byakuya saw right through your schemes, but he didn’t know the exact moment you’d act. Would you dare to test him? Would you defy his trust?

Strutting into your room and sitting on the opposite end of the bed, he greeted you nonchalantly and began removing his shoes. The silence was suffocating, the tension thickening with each passing second until he finally spoke, his voice cold and laced with authority. “Whatever it is you’re planning, I’d drop the idea or unpleasant things might result from it. You’re not leaving me.” His gaze was piercing, holding yours captive as if daring you to challenge him. You didn’t know how else to respond other than to sit there, your heart sinking as the truth wrapped around you like chains.

He didn’t stop there. Byakuya stood and walked over to you, his fingers tilting your chin up so you had no choice but to meet his icy stare. “Do not mistake my calm demeanour for leniency. If you attempt something so foolish again…” His unspoken words were chilling, but his touch was almost tender, a contrast that made your heart pound with fear and confusion.

As another observant person who enjoyed acting dumb and fooling everyone, he had gotten the tip-off about you purchasing a plane ticket and decided to confront you. Aside from the many times, he came down harshly on you, he was too calm when he approached.

Standing before the door with your plane ticket in hand, waving it around like some prize you had to claim, Askin strutted over to you with a pout on his face. “I noticed you booked a flight out of the country but didn’t book one for me. So, I took the liberty of purchasing another so we can go together, less you wish to stay here?” Underneath those pouty eyes that turned into cheerful gleams, you would see the warnings.

The deadly glares that penetrated your soul without remorse. He was testing you, observing your every twitch, your every breath, to see your reaction and how loyal you were proving to be. Making the wrong move, and you had no idea what he would do. Make the right move, and you might be spared his wrath—but you’d never be alone again. “I hope you understand that you are mine, and you are not leaving me,” he said with his voice dripping with finality as he leaned closer, his breath warm against your ear.

When you didn’t respond immediately, he leaned back and tilted his head, his smile growing sharper. “I wonder what you were planning to do once you landed? Find someone else? Start a new life? How foolish,” he mused, his voice dripping with mockery. “You belong to me, and there is no escape from that.”

He’s a lot more playful than the others. He’ll toy with you and give the opportunity to escape right before his eyes just to see what your decision would be. And to his best guess, you do escape which creates the game of cat and mouse, his favourite. Kisuke would chase you about and give you the false advantage that you’ve outsmarted him, but you only ran into his trap. You had never escaped him from the very start.

From climbing into the taxi to speaking to strangers, to the affordable house on the street, to the job you obtained, it was all his design, making you believe that you regained your wings. When he grew tired of waiting and watching and missing your company, one morning while you were walking through the streets on your way to work, he casually approached you with a pretentious pout.

‘Begging you to return’ didn’t even begin to describe it. He wanted to see you feisty, standing up for yourself just so he could clip your wings and squeeze you into his embrace. And he did. Wrapping his arms around you tightly, his fingers dug into your back as he whispered into your ear. Explaining everything from the very start to the end and watching your face fall, he felt pride surging in his heart. “You did so well, sweetheart, but I’m tired of playing and I want you back home. You’ve been free for too long.” His grin was sharp, his eyes narrowing as if daring you to protest.

As he dragged you back, he couldn’t help but chuckle softly, his breath ghosting against your ear. “Next time, let’s not waste so much time pretending, hmm? You’ll always come back to me, no matter how far you run.”

You have a running streak with ending up with manipulative and overprotective yanderes at this point because you should know that there’s no escaping this guy. Like the others, Jugram has his hunter’s instinct and knows that there is a difference in your behaviour. One day you began treating him nicely, making him breakfast, lunch and dinner or greeting him at the door when he returned from meetings and trips. He knew something was off and he was right when he decided to snoop around and discover your duffle bag filled with clothes and money.

You were attempting to leave him, and he did not appreciate your gesture. To think that after all he had done for you, this was how you repaid him. The betrayal stung, but it was masked by his icy composure.

The day you decided to make your move, panic consumed you at the disappearance of your bag. The slamming of a door alerted you to someone in the room. Swivelling around and coming face to face with Jugram silently fuming and your duffle bag at his feet, you froze. His normally calm demeanour was fractured, his blue eyes blazing with a cold silent fury. He was itching to let out his anger but knew it would end terribly, so he simply stared, his cold gaze locking you in place.

“I hope I’ve made myself clear. Never a next time,” he warned lowly and dangerously, the restraint in his tone more terrifying than any shout. His presence loomed over you, suffocating, as you realised there was no escape from him. Ever.

He stepped closer, his voice softening but losing none of its edge. “Do you know what happens to people who betray me?” he asked, his tone almost conversational. “I’ll forgive you this once, but if you ever try something like this again…” He let the threat hang in the air, his piercing gaze doing all the talking.

You sat up on the edge of your bed, your fingers traced the edge of the paper you were holding onto. It was a letter from a fellow soul reaper, they had just confessed their love to you in that letter.

Unknowingly to you, Byakuya was watching over your shoulder, reading the letter.

As far as the premise itself, Makoto having body image issues could make a lot of sense, whether it's at Hope's Peak (lots of Olympic athletes and movie stars and supermodels) or at the Future Foundation (just imagining their propaganda images of him are super photoshopped to make his body look "more heroic"). Now, for the ships:

Komaegi

I feel like in this case Makoto would be distinctly ashamed of the reason for his bad relationship with food, since Nagito is so focused on principles and virtues. I think Makoto would somewhat expect Nagito to be disappointed by his "vanity".

Nagito's actual reaction depends so heavily on when this happens (pre-Tragedy or post-Tragedy, pre-NWP or post-NWP) and what flavor of yandere he is. Overall, the possibilities exist on a spectrum between Brutal Nagito, who will think it's helpful to reinforce Makoto's insecurities so he can stop fixating on them (or that's the rationalization he offers himself; what he's really doing is keeping Makoto down out of fear that once Makoto knows how amazing he is, he won't need or want him anymore) and Worshiper Nagito, who's just all praise.

So, the former is like, "I see. You're worried you don't look as good as they do? But of course you don't! You're a completely average, normal person. You can't be expected to compare to anyone in a world of Ultimates. Hey, cheer up. Think of it more like this: You don't need to compare to any of them, because no one is looking at you at all! Except me, of course. I think your average build is cute. There's no need to compare yourself to Ultimates; I like you for who you are."

And the latter is like, "Ah, I should have spoken up sooner. How thoughtless of me, to let you waste a second thinking anyone here holds a candle to you. I truly regret my negligence. I would have been singing your praises from the rooftops, had I known you suffered from even the briefest of doubts." And from there he just keeps showering Makoto in compliments about his appearance and personality (and some trace amounts of shade for everyone else) until Makoto goes from ashamed-embarrassed to flattered-embarrassed. And he will be doing this regularly from now on.

Kamuegi

This one's cool because Makoto's attempts to regulate how much he eats will directly grate against Izuru's attempts to feed him good food. It wouldn't take Izuru all that long to figure out Makoto's reservations, but instead of going the way of overwhelming praise like Nagito, he's just going to reinforce the behavior of eating by giving him tasty food and showing him affection when he eats it all (positive reinforcement– providing a positive stimulus to encourage a behavior) and by scolding, insulting, or threatening anyone who continues to feed into Makoto's body image issues (negative reinforcement– removing a negative stimulus to encourage a behavior).

The first part is self-explanatory. The second part is lowkey funny, because all someone has to do is be shirtless in Makoto's presence and have a flatter stomach or bigger muscles, and Izuru is immediately like, "Put those away. You look ridiculous." He's giving everybody else body image issues to make Makoto feel better. And if Future Foundation propaganda is causing Makoto's discomfort, Izuru will be bothering everyone about it until they get the art right. (They probably wouldn't trust him enough to let him make the propaganda himself, especially if we're treating the anime as canon.)

If and when Makoto starts to gain weight as a result of Izuru's treatment, Izuru makes sure that he never feels self-conscious about it.

Naekusaba

For this one, I'm imaging Junko playing a role. Like, maybe when Makoto skips meals or just is hungry in general Junko says that he looks better than usual, and she comments on it like he's gorging himself when he does eat a normal amount. And Mukuro knows what she's doing and eventually has to actually make the decision to push back.

I don't have too much more for that, but it's already a pretty big deal to have her speak out against what Junko's doing, so.

Once she takes that step, she's a more militant (and also clumsier) version of Izuru's negative reinforcement strategy. She doesn't have as precise an understanding of what things make Makoto feel bad, so she's not saying or doing anything to guys who happen to be shirtless around Makoto, but she'll hold a knife to someone's throat for saying the word "fat" in a completely normal way/context.

Also I imagine her as more submissive toward Makoto than Izuru is, so where Izuru would be like, "Eat some more," when Makoto is about to stop eating, Mukuro would be more like, "Is that...all you're eating?" But both result in Makoto picking up his utensils again.

Naezono

Bringing this up just to say that I think that, as a person in the entertainment industry, Sayaka has perhaps also at some point had a less-than-healthy relationship with food, and seeing her own struggle mirrored in Makoto (and vice versa, for him) might help them both kind of climb out of it. She's encouraging him to eat by pretty literally cheering him on, and by doing the same herself. The yandere element comes into play only if someone directly insults Makoto, in which case Sayaka will smile politely and very sweetly post to all her social media that the person called her fat. They'll be getting death threats and other cruel DM's for the rest of their lives. #[ThatPerson]IsOverParty

Naehiro

Similar deal with Chihiro. They're both about to tackle their body dysphoria. It's very sweet, very healing. And if someone ever insults Makoto, Chihiro's challenging them to a physical fight (because I really think the "I want to get stronger!" thing would come out of them in weird ways, for a while). Similar to Mukuro, Chihiro would be shy and awkward about encouraging Makoto to eat, but it would be effective regardless.

Naegiri/Naegami/Tonaegiri/Naegamigiri

Ngl, I feel like Kyoko and Byakuya would be kinda bad at handling this, but in a way I find funny.

Like, Kyoko would notice Makoto's eating habits just as a matter of course, and Byakuya would notice it in an "I took you to this expensive restaurant and you barely ate anything!" way.

And if/when Makoto opens up about his feelings, I feel like both of them would be un-equipped to engage with them in a sensitive way. If he says he's insecure about how he looks, they'd pretty much be like, "Why? That's stupid. Stop being stupid." Any hint of Makoto being insecure or unhappy makes them (I think Byakuya more so than Kyoko) kind of frustrated that they don't know how to alleviate that. They don't really know how to give a great compliment. They'll tell him he looks good, and they'll say or imply that they're attracted to him, but they're simply not speaking Nagito's language.

Yandere-wise, probably the best they can do is seize control of the images he sees. So, they'll smack a magazine right out of his hand, change the channel when he's watching a superhero movie, etc. And he'll be hearing a lot of "Eat." "Finish eating." "You're not done." "You're not getting up until you finish that."

Ichigo slipped out from his arms. Getting something for his drink to make him fall into a deep sleep was difficult. Ichigo had saved Rukia yes, but after she did. Byakuya had become obsessed with her. He needed her in his life. She could not stand it, to be honest. Soon 1 year ago. He had kidnapped her from her home. She rarely saw Rukia now, as Rukia was ordered not to see her. She has not seen her friends or family. 

He told her in one month they would be getting married. She could not, and would not marry him. She stands to her feet and slips out. Walking to his office. She needs to get her Zanpaktou before she leaves, she will not leave it with him. He has a spirit energy suppressor on her neck. A collar. To show that she belongs to him.

She places her hand on her neck. The collar pissed her off greatly. It was one of the main reasons she could not leave for so long. She opens his office and then goes to the cabinet. She takes her bobby pin and starts to pick the lock. Slowly she worked and finally, the click could be heard. She unlocked the cabinet and took her large Zanpaktou. She had Zangetsu back. She will be able to leave finally. 

She does not even worry about day clothes or shoes. She just grabs her blade and runs out of the manor. She climbed over the way when suddenly the security bell of the manner started to go off. Shit! She jumped into the alleyway and started to run. Then she felt it. 

Byakuya is awake and his spirit energy tells her that he is VERY Angry! 

She needed to find a captain! Anyone that will help her. Of course, she does not know the layout of the Soul Society and it is pitch black! She quickly ended up in a dead in and then his voice made her blood run cold. 

(Byakuya's POV) 

I stood behind, my darling fiance as she caught her breath. I was angry, of course, I would be. She drugged me. But, I was also worried. She went out at night alone. She could have been hurt! Or worse she could have been taken away from me. 

"Ichigo, Darling," I say and she tenses. 

She knows that she has been caught, and she has nowhere to run. 

She turns around slowly and she does not meet my eyes. "Ichigo. Come here, your feet are dirty and you are cold." I state blankly. "Let's go home and I can run you a bath." 

"No!" She shouts and lifts her blade, ready to fight. "I rather die!" 

I sighed, she gave me no choice. I use my kidou, something she was never good at. It ended up knocking her out and I caught her in my arms. I will need to keep her zanpoktou somewhere else. I will also have to chain her down or start drugging her when we go to bed. These are things I wanted to avoid doing. But My Darling, Ichigo, she has given me no choice. She will learn to love me someday but until that day. I have no choice. 

I flash step home and remove her clothes. She is truly beautiful. My Darling Ichigo. My fiance. And Soon, my wife~
