Correction: Shiosai was written by Japanese writer Yukio Mishima. Kawabata who was Mishima's mentor did write a book titled Yama no oto or The Sound of the Mountain though.

a while ago you mentioned a tsubasa chronicles au so i went and i just finished watching it and honestly it's one of the most beautiful things i've ever watched and ... i gotta know how u think an AU of this would go? I'm already crying but yo man I gotta know

Okay so, Bakugou would be Kurogane of course (I mean, his whole plot fits so well with him? Why he was sent away? What he had to do to be able to come back? His personality? God I love it) which means obviously Kiri would be Fai (me? liking to suffer? more likely than you think) (also while Fai is way more cunning than Kirishima might ever hope to be there are good paralels between the characters and Fai’s softer and happier personality fits Kiri a lot too) (I can seriously see a lot of Kuro//Fai scenes working just right for them, it’s making me cry for many reasons) Syaoran and Sakura are a bit harder to pick because there isn’t really anyone with fitting personalities who also have with Kurogane and Fai the type of relationships Syaoran and Sakura share with them - so in the end I went fuck it and ignored the personalities fitting in favor of making it entertaining (and as feels-filled as possible for me) (I mean, I am self-indulging after all) so Kami and Jirou it is - Kaminari sharing with Bakugou the sort of relationship Kurogane and Syaoran have is something I’ll forever be weak for (though it’d definitely be less quiet as a relationship lol) and Jirou and Kirishima being the way Sakura and Fai are makes me quiet cry too (well if you only watched the anime you don’t have too much about that, but even the little there was in the anime was so good that imagining it with Jirou and Kiri is seriously something that’s making me very happy). Also Momo would be Tomoyo at this point. Of course.

Since I’m me what’s getting to me the most is how Baku and Kiri’s relationship would feel in Kurogane and Fai’s place - Kirishima deciding he wants to be Bakugou’s “friend” and annoying him into it isn’t too different from canon, but the whole calling him cutesy names and acting like a married couple just to mess with him and Bakugou going from outright pushing him away to still grumbling but obviously not minding is soft and has me weak, but. You know. The Tokyo arc. Heck. Kirishima asking to be left to die? Bakugou going against it and tying his life to Kiri’s to keep him alive? And then the goodmorning Bakugou and Bakugou’s face when he hears that and Kiri keeping his distances from him after that like, fuck. Fuck. Even later on in Celes with Kiri trying to be left to die again and Bakugou giving up a literal arm for him and the scene aftern in Nihon when they finally talk, man, man, an AU made to destroy me - and all the while there’d be Jirou and Kaminari being just as hard on my soul which is honestly something I can’t even start on but fuck, imagine it, it’s making me cry real tears, honestly this AU. The only reason why I still haven’t drawn it is cause I like being alive, thanks

Summary: One day in Yama, Kurogane found himself surprised to find an empty bunk. Kurogane rifled through a pile of parchment on Fai's bed. He didn't expect a note, but he was curious. He couldn't call them doodles, they were far too intricate for that. Sheet after sheet, Kurogane sorted through random images that must have had significance to Fai. He should have known he had a propensity for art. His drawings in Oto had been simple but impressive. Fine lines depicted hollowed, barren trees. A tower. The sun and moon colliding and bursting, and in their wake a pale horse.
