hi everybody! i'm sick right now and don't have a lot of energy so i'm gonna try to make this kinda short.

a lot of you know i was waiting for a response from my disability ALJ hearing since february; i finally got a letter the other day, and they decided to deny me again. so i have to appeal for a 4th time and also get a lawyer. on top of this, all of my food stamps have been stolen for the SECOND month in a row (my info was taken via card skimming machine) and the DHS likely won't reimburse me until next month. so my mother and i have been having to pay for groceries out of pocket which we can't afford, we're both disabled with a very limited capacity for work. my phone is at risk of being shut off again, i'm struggling to afford gas for my car, and our fridge is very sparse.

i would REALLY appreciate some financial help if anyone out there has some money to spare. i'm trying to raise at least $200 to cover my phone bill, gas, and some groceries. any amount sincerely helps, and if you can't help out monetarily, please just share this post wherever you can. that in itself is a huge help to me. thank you so much in advance everyone!

There's an open pit in the middle of our office plan that drops down into a bunch of very sharp spikes that kill you instantly. This is bad. People keep falling in there and dying. Someone put a sign up, the other day, all bright yellow so you can't miss it, that says "Beware!!! Spikes!!!"

The office immediately split into two factions over it. One says that if anyone falls in the spike pit it's their own fault for being so stupid and not watching where they're walking, so we should remove the sign. The other says that the sign is an insult, there shouldn't be a spike pit in our office at all, and having the sign up like that is just normalising the existence of the spike pit, so we should remove the sign.

We ended up removing the sign. Probably for the better. Still... for a while there it looked like it might have worked...
