"Your Body Is A Weapon" by the Wombats

#song of the day #'someone protect me from the one I love' looping in my head #this is another fun song to sing. who comes up with lines like 'my body is a temple of doom / doomed not to be / by your side'#I have to admit also for all that some of my favorite people are very guitar people I do not have an ear for it #so the Wombats like Greta Van Fleet and a couple others sound like older bands to me. very very surprised to find this song is from 2015 #I mentioned the other day that I usually have an origin story for most of the songs I know because mostly I get them from specific places #recommendations and curated playlists and such #and partially that really helps my memory for songs! they all come with strong associations! self-creating mnemonics!#but also it really skews my perception of when songs are from and how popular they are #the other day I played a song for Nick that I thought he'd like #and I did tell him that I thought it was probably a cover because a lot of the other songs on the playlist were #and he looked at me like I was truly stupid and he said 'it's definitely a cover. because that is a Taylor Swift song'#and I was genuinely just like neat! good to know!#I did listen to the original and I do think I like the cover better but my taste is so specific and scattered that it means nothing #I also apparently heard Sleep Token's new album right as it came out in a way that impressed Nick by like #how cutting-edge my metal knowledge was I guess. hipster-style immediate knowledge of the new release. before it was cool etc #and I had to be like nah bro it was a fic title I googled I get no credit for this. also I didn't know the band existed before this album #there's no way I was looking for the new release. the song the album and the band all just came into being before me simultaneously #this ramble is really long now and I feel like y'all get the point #the Wombats are cool though

But then she glanced at Maki—sweet, gorgeous, Maki with a determined fire blazing in her eyes—and she had an idea. A terrible, devious, but quite possibly genius idea.

“Um, actually,” she spoke up, much louder than necessary, “actually, I, uh… I don’t know how to play baseball.” She fluttered her eyelids and smiled shyly, grabbing a strand of her hair and twirling it around her fingers as if she were the epitome of innocence.

I'm surprised on how quickly I was able to draw it!#I had the idea of an art piece featuring my NiTW sona sleeping with Bea in the comfort of her arms earlier this week #I drew out one or two conceptual sketches out to see if it was something within my skillset and got to work straight after #Something I wanted to focus on in this piece was continuing to practice NiTW's trademark simplistic and lineless style #On the surface it might not LOOK like much #But a lot of thought and work went into everything looking natural enough to where you COULD see this in game #Another small detail I'd like to point out is my NiTW sona... notice anything different?#She now has MUCH longer hair! I also got rid of the fluff she had on her chin from her previous design to look more feminine #I noticed that in Micah Huxley's intro post that I addressed her with he/him pronouns rather than she/her...#... so consider this her transition! I'll definitely be drawing her in her entirety with her new features in check soon enough #With design specifics out of the way... this is a scenario that I think about a lot #Just being nestled up against Bea in her loving arms...#There's hardly a single other thought out there that compares to how lovey and comfy it makes me feel 🖤💚🖤

I can’t take people who say that Sneasler is the worst pokemon ever designed seriously when Aromatisse has existed since 2013. Especially since Sneasler is kind of the poster child of video essays regarding why “Legends Arceus bad”.

Let’s be real here, if Blaziken and Lucario were 8th/9th gen pokemon rather than 3rd and 4th gen respectively, they would be loathed and reviled instead of seen as untouchable and iconic.

okay posting too much again but I'd usually tweet this shit but don't really use twitter since el*n ruined it lol. but!!! I actually made friends that live in my neighborhood??? whaaaaaat??? very excited+!! I've been struggling making friends (other than my coworkers) since moving here two years ago and I'm:))) very happy n excited !! I'm so socially anxious/awkward irl that anytime I go somewhere/meet new people I assume they think I'm weird/dislike me but they literally invited me to multiple upcoming events & are planning on playing dnd together soon!! ahhh!!!

I got distracted typing this bc my girl just caught a house centipede n I'm thinking about how we kept one as a pet until it died and we named her clementine and N wrote poetry about her that was so beautiful I cried reading it
