Oooh counterpoint to the idea that he fesses up that he's not her cousin. What if he doubles down and asserts that they have a duty to be together to continue their race. Like she maybe older, but she has had a lot less lived experience and so wouldn't know how to handle it. (If we wanted to be really evil this would be in the finale where it could be plausible, except that implies Byler not happening until the finale which I don’t want, so I’m picturing a Volume 1 situation except we didn’t know Volume 2 was happening yet)
