"here." connie passes the drink she ordered over to imani, shifting her skirt before settling herself down on a stool across from her. "have you been thinking about my proposition on moving in?" after their last conversation on the subject, connie left imani to ruminate over the decision before giving her a yes or no answer. though, it was obvious what connie really wanted to hear.

" damn, girl--love your outfit, " val greeted as she approached her colleague when she realized it was her behind that mask. " i hope you didn't have to take extra shifts while i was away, but if you did, you really saved my backside there. " // @xoimani

"Whoa, hey." Katrina caught the other woman's arm after the huge guy practically bowled her over on his way out the door. Sure, it was polite to let people exit before you entered, but there was no reason to act like a bull in a china shop. Kat shot a glare at him over her shoulder, but he hardly even seemed to notice. Attention turned back to the woman. "Are you okay?"

location: aurora's candy parlor booth who: @xoimani
evelyn had such a sweet tooth. truthfully she enjoyed so many different kind of treats but she was on a mission today when she made her way to the booth hosted by aurora's candy parlor. her eyes were searching each shelf and basket. "if you come across any freeze dried skittles or peach rings, would you mind helping a gal out?" she spoke in a soft tone as she was in fairly close proximity to the other. "unless you like 'em too then i wouldn't mind sharing." evelyn would have loved nothing more than to take the candy and keep it for herself but small acts of kindness felt appropriate in the environment they were in. the festival air felt peaceful and so did her mindset.

"If you need any help—" Connie purses her lips together, "—not that I think you'll need help." She never wanted to infantilise, or make Imani feel less in anyway. Connie knew made people feel that way in the past. "More like, when I was in university I liked giving my papers to friends to have a set of fresh eye's."
"Perfect, Iove that idea."
— @xoimani
"Yeah that's true. I will figure it all out eventually." Imani was already feeling nervous jitters, but she tried to keep that to herself for the most part. "They got this thing right, where you can write papers using personal work experience and get credit hours. Imma do as many of those as I can and hopefully speed this whole thing up a bit." She said as she got to work in the kitchen.
"Maybe Thai food?" She said, hopeful that it sounded good to Connie too. Imani was always ready to eat an entire bowl of panang curry.

closed starter, winter festival with @xoimani
His refusal to apologize to Aiyla has left the Downtown apartment in a cold war. Both Avci siblings co-existing in a parallel routine of cold shoulders and backhanded remarks. Ecrin decides to keep himself busy, enjoying the Holiday events the city offers as means of distraction. Wandering the winter festival alone is bleak, especially seeing the families bonding together at the magical time of year. As he walks, he almost collides with another from the opposite direction but they both stop themselves and end up walking side to side at the same time. “Oh, well having an impromptu tango class wasn’t on my agenda.” he laughs and then steps to the side again and hopes she decides to go the opposite. “This is the best bit of social interaction I’ve had all week.”

"Yeah I don't think Tinder is the right platform for me," Lara explained with a soft smile on her features, "I think the last date I went on, they assumed I was in it for the hook up but really...that's not the case. Not that I wouldn't mind, it's just not me." She reached up to cup her cup of coffee and held it close as she took a small sip. "Unless I just need to get in the mindset then maybe but I don't know about that."

Erica would be thankful when this festival was over. She had tripled her deliveries into town this week, and while the vendors at the festival were of course paying for all the flowers they were consuming, Erica wasn't exactly having fun driving back and forth. After this was over, she'd definitely be crashing in her bed for at least three days.
"Don't be silly." Erica shook her head, trying not to collide her face with the flowers in the buckets she was carrying. "I've got like two more loads, so don't worry about it." Besides, Erica was getting paid to carry them, so she couldn't justify handing them off. @xoimani
Imani adored flowers. She wanted to always have some in her home, but most of the time didn't due to the cost. However, the festival was the perfect time to get herself a big beautiful bouquet for the kitchen table in her apartment. Wanting to get some good deals, she had gotten dressed, put on her heelies and walked (well, rolled) her way towards the festival.
Seeing a woman carry buckets of flowers, Imani stared, and watched as s flower tumbled out. Quickly picking it up she smiled widely. "Yeah? Thank you." Her fingers so gently held the stem before she looked at the woman. "Do you want a hand with that?" @ericaxmanning

After a discussion with Uly at the bar about a new brand of vodka that Bora had gotten in on his last stock order that he wanted him to push, he left him to it and sought to tick off the next thing on the mental to-do list he had formed for himself. That involved seeking out another specific employee, which was a harder task than usual given how she seemed to be blending in more these days rather than standing out.
"Imani, can you follow me into my office when you're done there?" He asks, though it's hardly a request and more of an expectation as he makes his way to it and leaves the door ajar for her to follow.

connie hadn't been able to focus since the almost kiss. the lawyer moved through life over the past week on autopilot, her mind a million miles away from earth. she couldn't deny that when she closed her eye's at night she'd wondered what would of happened if she went through with it. connie had never kissed a girl, nor had ever thought she was attracted to one. but the more she looked back, over the attachment she'd formed with the girl, how she felt in imani's presence — this wasn't friendship, this was something more. connie is dressed up to party, but she has zero intention of joining the crowd. she knows the woman will be here, she just has to find her. it didn't take long, imani always proudly stood out from the crowd in a way connie couldn't help but admire. she was sweet, kind, comfortable enough in herself not give a fuck about what anyone else thought. some might see them as polar opposites, but in many ways they weren't. "imani." connie calls, a hot tension building her between her rib cage. she's not sure if imani would respond to her, remembering how embarrassed she seemed over the situation. but she had to do something.

Harris missed Imani. Plain and simple. She was his work bestie who had sort of become just one of his best friends in general and it all felt a little less magical without her at Oasis. But he was so proud of her for being able to do what she had wanted to do in life and he was gonna be a supportive friend to the end. It just meant he’d have to make sure he made time to spend with her and after finding out she’d be at the halloween party he was in a mission to find her. He could have swore he’d seen her be painted blue, but it took him a double take at the Mystique costume to click on that they were in fact one of his favorite people. “ is that really all body paint? “ he asked walking over to her. Was he allowed to hug her as a greeting if it was body paint?

unaccustomed to receiving such flattering remarks and unsure of how to handle them, bella felt her cheeks flush intensely in response to the woman's compliment. " oh--uhm... thank you, " she stammered, her fingers nervously smoothing a stray lock of hair behind her ear as she deliberately avoided making eye contact.
though Bella didn't lack self-awareness about her appearance, she was caught off guard by being described as hot by someone else. It was unfamiliar territory for her, not being accustomed to such appraisals. " but, uhm--like your girlfriend? that must be... nice," she added awkwardly, her words trailing off lamely. but what she really meant to say was that to have someone to spend valentines with, someone you truly care for--it must be nice. // @xoimani
imani loved coming into the flower shop. She had a great relationship with the owner and managed to snag flowers that might not be up to par, or on their way out. Imani couldn't afford much, but she often managed to talk her way into little deals like this. She didn't even realize there was a blind date sign up.
Waiting behind the young woman near her she looked at the sheet in her hand as she asked about signing up for blind dates. "OH me?" She said quickly before looking around. "No Im just here picking up flowers for my girl. Hold on a damn minute..... are you telling me some lucky person gets to go on a date with you? Dang. That blind date shit is really upping it's game. You're hot."

It had been a while since Gabe had ran into Imani so when he was heading out of driftwood and saw her down the block he smiled and offered her a small nod. He still wasn’t the most friendly or social of beings but for her she had sort of crept into his life in an unexpected but nice way. “ I’ve been wondering where you’ve been. Had me a little concerned lately cause I haven’t had any calls about high objects. You don’t have another tall friend do you?”

who: @xoimani where: imani's place, pre-end of summer bash
"I can't wear that!" Aylin laughs without thinking, her eyes wide as Imani showed her the outfit she'd picked out. She thought it resembled underwear more than it resembled clothes. Instead of commenting on the lack of fabric, she schools her features.
"Look at the height of those boots, I'll roll my ankle. Imani, those are a safety hazard- how do you even walk in those?"

Just because Connie Vanderbilt wasn't friends with Mariana anymore, did not mean that Mari didn't still care for her. She did and it would upset her because she couldn't change Connie's mind about her being the scum of earth. So when she had done some social media stalking and caught eye of the woman in Connie's life - she had become curious.
For as long as she had known Connie before their fallout--the topic of dating women never came up, but maybe she should have known. No, she couldn't have. She'd never assumed her sexuality back then and even now. This Imani woman seemed interesting and was gorgeous. She needed to know who she was. So when she saw her in public, she had to take advantage of the opportunity.
"Hi, question," She said as she grabbed a random dress near her, and held it up, "Do you think I'd look good in this color?"
