Sloane felt like she was on cloud nine, probably helped by the amount of cocktails she'd ingested over the last...hour? Still, it was time to break the seal and as the current song finished she extracted herself from the person she'd been dancing up against with a shout of "I need the bathroom" and stumbling off into the throngs of people who were still moving around each other. While on the hard flooring they'd put down to dance on she'd been able to dance in her heels easily, but as soon as she hit the sand at the edge everything went a little backwards. With a shriek she ended up in a heap right on the sand before dissolving into hysterical giggles coupled with a 'ouch' as she took hold of her ankle.

Nikki was actively aiming for a nice buzz, as she picked up the cocktail the bartender offered her and handed the other one to the person next to her. "Cheers, gorgeous!" she exclaimed, ever the hype-girl, as she brought her glass forth to clink to a toast.

Axel had to leave the area to get away from the noise. He had to answer a phone call from a colleague back in New York. The call took way longer than he had expected, having lasted over an hour and a half. He knew Sloane would be looking for him by now. Making his way back to the beach, he looked down to shoot off a few business messages. Not paying much attention to anyone around him, he shouldered someone just hard enough that he felt them stumble back. "OH shit... sorry." He looked up to see he had not only knocked their funnel cake to the ground, but he had gotten powdered sugar all over them. "Jesus.. sorry. Didn't mean to make you look like Scarface. Let me get you a new one." @aurorabaystarter

"Nah, I'm alright —" Julian assured the passerby without looking up. "Me and the bumper cars had a bit of a battle but you should see the other guy." The other guy being a lime green beetle driven by an eight year old who was not currently nursing a possible concussion.

After a moment of contemplative silence, Julian's head was pounding from where his forehead made contact with the steering wheel. Thankfully, nothing was broken or at least not visibly.

"Actually, do you think you could get me some ice? You know, for my bruised ego."

Mei always loved these events the town put on, especially as her daughter got older and couple experience more of things. So after an afternoon of riding rides and playing games, it was time to eat something. Or so she thought, because as Mei was heading towards some of the food vendors, Luna was suddenly tugging on her arm, emphatically talking about seeing a game stall with plushie unicorns and she just needed one. "Luna, not right now--!" Her daughter's tugging resulted in Mei smacking right into someone and she stumbled a bit, wincing at the impact. "Geez..sorry."

The pulsing music coursed through her veins as she guided her movements towards the edge of the makeshift dance floor. Her eyes scanned the crowd, searching for a familiar face at the bar, before squeezing her petite frame between the packed partygoers. "Hey, I didn't know you were coming out tonight," she exclaimed, her voice brimming with cheerful surprise. "Mind if I order with you," she asked with an arch brow, "I'll cover the tab."

EVENT 015 {SEPTEMBER 13TH - SEPTEMBER 20TH} AURORA BAY’S END OF SUMMER BASH

With schools in town now back in session, it's another summer in the books for Aurora Bay. But just because the days are getting shorter and the holidays are just around the corner doesn't mean the summer fun is over just yet!

Aurora Bay's city hall invites everyone to head down to the beach this weekend for one more blow out to send summer out in style!

Starting Friday evening and into the weekend, the boardwalk will be transformed during the day into a summer carnival, chockfull of games, prizes, rides, and fun for the whole family! And during the night, we invite everyone 21+ plus to head down in the sand where Oasis Nightclub's DJ will be spinning all night.

Everything will culminate on Sunday with a can't-miss performance right on the beach from the band Submergence! So come join us this weekend for one last summer bash to close out the season!

OOC INFORMATION BELOW THE CUT:

in game the event is going on from Friday afternoon through Sunday night, but ooc it'll last the week to give everyone a chance to plot and write!

the carnival will be five dollars a ticket (kids under 5 and under are free) and it will be running from 10am til 8pm.

carnival rides will include:

tilt-a-whirl

roller coaster

carousel

flying chairs

fun slide

pendulum

there will also be all sorts of boardwalk games and of course plenty of food places already around! feel free to use your imagination.

From 9pm until 2am on Friday and Saturday night, the beach will be adults-only (wristbands required) to dance all night! proof of carnival ticket will grant one free drink, with drink specials at our pop-up sand bars all night.

And finally on Sunday night will be a concert on the beach from Submergence! (shoutout to @xaviermattthews and @vanessagable!)

Stepping out on to the balcony of the property that overlooked the beach, X isn't daunted by the erected stage he can see that he would be performing on later in the day with his band -- though there was some mild jitters about being on stage for the first time since his father's passing given how he hadn't been able to deliver his eulogy.

His need for air and a time out stemmed from needing five away from a specific bandmate, a smile dawning where a frown had been he realises the bandmate following him out was a different one.

"I'm good," He tells her before she can ask, Van's steady streak of worrying about him only amplifying with time since Houston rather than lessening, though he wouldn't hold it against her, "I can't hear anymore about his fucking lucky drumsticks. Tell him he's being ridiculous."

See that-" Asher points to the ride doing its slow rotation around the center cylinder piece, beneath the yellow lights and its own personal circus-like music. The horse he originally pointed at rounds out of their line of sight, but he concludes, "I wanna ride that white one that's on it's back legs."

"Please, sir, I'm poor, and I ain't ever ridden a horse so majestic before."
