——- Marianna came in for her shift that day and it went over well, cooking the day away — making sure her skills didn't go to waste. her mind was just on getting home now as she was just going through it today, maybe talk someone into going to grab drinks with her and keep company. she wasn't one to talk about her problems much — she face alone or forget, depending. once her shift ended she stepped outside catching someone passing by and a grin crossed her glossy pink lips. ❝  hey, where you heading tonight ? mind joining a girl for a drink, perhaps ? ❞  a warm smile rested on her lips before gently offering her hand. today was an off day from work for her as to why she was roaming around herself, and to be honestly, she could really use the company.

A night of burning exes pictures, specifically for him, didn't exactly resonate with Tobias. But it seemed more fun than wandering through restaurants with couples making lovey-dovey eyes at each other (no hater in him for that- he respected that. It just wasn't a sight he really wanted to see that much of.) So a night on the beach front and letting people lose themselves in some healthy letting loose of old baggage seemed better. And it was a beautiful night.

"Oh. That person seems a little too into this-" Tobias half commented to him and half to the person standing next to him. Drink in his hand, he couldn't help but stay locked in as the person at the blaze got into this in a big way. "What do you think their ex did? Must have been catastrophic."

It's been a couple months since he moved to Aurora Bay. Lately, his routine was becoming very boring. Keep his apartment clean, go to work, go home, start all over again the next day. Tonight, after leaving the Cool Down Ice Rink, something needed to change. Without too much thinking, Davi found himself at the door of the Four Leaf Pub. Scanning the pub, he made his way over to an empty seat at the bar. He ordered a drink, his gaze shifting to the TV screen, as he caught the end of the game. "What did you think of the game?" He asked to the person sitting next to him.

Linnea was standing outside handing out some fliers with another one of her coworkers just to get a little more attention to the studio. Sometimes people wouldn’t realize something was in town unless it was thrown at them. And she was always willing to help someone new dance. “ I promise it’s fun! And it’s all different types of dance “ she replied as someone walked away with the flower without acknowledging her. “ I don’t know if this is working “ she said out loud but gave another smile as she handed another flier out. “ would you like to learn how to dance? “

Ceyda stood in the middle of the thrift shop, holding up two outrageously mismatched dresses—one in vibrant magenta with golden paisleys, the other a riot of electric blue and neon green stripes. She turned to the nearest person, her eyes sparkling with a mix of humor and genuine curiosity

"Alright, I need the truth," she said, holding the dresses side by side. "Which one says, ‘I know fashion, but I also know how to party’? Because honestly, I’m lost here." Her voice was playful, but there was a glint of sincerity in her smile. "Or are you one of those ‘vibe over coordination’ people? Because if that’s the case, I think we’re about to become fast friends.

Teaching was a whole different ballpark than working at NASA—it was enjoying, but a whole new challenge. He'd done some guest lecturing before, though that was different. At least he was passionate about science and physics. He hoped that was coming through to his students even if his class was sometimes a bit of a mess. Ripley settled down in the coffee shop with a stack of papers he needed to grade—sure he could have asked one of his student professors, but he liked the work. "Oh, wow. These are horrible," he marked all the wrong answers on this one with a sparkly pink gel pen.

It was a regular occurrence at this point. To be standing and minding his own business when someone fell into another and a drink spilled onto him. It was just the way of the world at this point. No longer did Tobias react in a big way, but instead merely sighed and began to pick up napkins at one of the dispensers. This time there was a partner in the spilling and he immediately offered them the napkins after grabbing them, "Does this also happen to you every time you're here or is it a curse only upon my house?"

Haley said as she sat there at the diner sipping on her coffee, her bad habit of drinking caffeine so late. "Am I the only one feeling like the Grinch?" She asked the person near her.
