Open: @aurorabaystarter location: all-nighter diner
"With the holiday right around the corner again, and perhaps watching Bad Moms one and two, I realize I have no Christmas Spirit. I'm even annoyed with the Christmas music." Haley said as she sat there at the diner sipping on her coffee, her bad habit of drinking caffeine so late. "Am I the only one feeling like the Grinch?" She asked the person near her.

Fame comes with a price, Elise thought as she looks over at the two girls from Constance who were laughing and whispering to each other as they looked at her. They reminded her of her old self though she was worse. "Are you done? Maybe instead of looking down on someone, you could go do something about your attitude. I'm a model and pray tell... Who are you again? Think of a better way to mock me next time. That was pathetic." She said and flipped her hair in a graceful way as she turned away. Elise finally saw the person she was meeting up with at the cafe. "You're here! So what do you feel like getting? Wanna try the new fluffy pancakes?" @ggstarterblog

Location: Outside of Oasis Status: Open @aurorabaystarter
There was something about most of the town being in one spot that made Ford want to spend as much time outside as possible. It just felt too crowded and he needed to nurse his nicotine addiction ASAP. He had gone just for the vibes but the longer he spent there the more he was thinking of an excuse to tell his friend he was gonna head home. Instead of coming up with any sort of answer, Ford lit up another cigarette instead. “Do you want one?” He asked as he heard someone come up to him.

𝐖𝐈𝐍𝐆 & 𝐁𝐋𝐀𝐃𝐄 (3/3) // open starter.
𝔱𝔥𝔢 𝔦𝔩𝔩𝔶𝔯𝔦𝔞𝔫 𝔴𝔞𝔯𝔯𝔦𝔬𝔯 𝔩𝔬𝔫𝔤𝔰 𝔣𝔬𝔯 𝔟𝔞𝔱𝔱𝔩𝔢, but the man wishes war would never befall those he's vowed to protect. it's a precarious thing, to live as a blade — to understand yourself only as a weapon, a tool for bloodshed. when the world becomes a complicated chess board, one that plays against itself in constant rotations, a warrior can lose sight of the truth. perhaps he was never meant to be anything more than a pawn, a sharp and deadly arm of whatever court or legion he served. the general finds himself caught somewhere between the man he was at the start of all of these happenings, and the boy he was lost in the collapsing, stonework archways of castle grau. then, he would have given anything to be as capable as he is now, but while his strength has grown, so, too, has his heart and his understanding of the world around him. it is not enough to be a great warrior. there is responsibility in his power, in his abilities. moves that should be effortless and smooth, a technique of wing and blade, are now harsh as he moves from one end of the sparring yard to the other, his wings and the air they catch off-setting the weight of the great sword he swings. there is a haste to his swings, a gravel in his yell as he throws that mighty weapon. vyros stops, wiping the sweat from his brow with the back of his hand. brows knit together, and in a frightening, rageful plunge, he spears the earth with his blade. he should be used to feeling lost. it is not for a general, a warrior, to know where he's going. only to lead an army of death wherever he is bidden.

Roxy sat at the bar in her Mothman costume and thanked the bartender when he brought her a bendy straw as she requested. It made it easier for her to pull up some of the material of her costume and use the straw to take a sip of her drink.
"You know," she began, speaking to the person beside her, "I feel like maybe I should've worn this costume for a few hours before the party so I could've made adjustments because I really can't see in this thing. I would say your costume looks awesome but I can't really tell."

where: on the way to the docks with aurora bay's haunted tour
Mikey was born in Aurora Bay and raised there until she was fourteen and her parents were deployed and stationed in Japan. She'd heard of the ghost stories in town and she remembered her grandfather always trying to scare her with them when she was younger, but she never believed any of it was real. The ghost tours sounded fun, though. It was something simple to get her in the holiday spirit even if it was early in the month. So Mikey got her ticket and found herself walking around Aurora Bay with a bunch of random people at night, talking about ghosts. It wasn't exactly how she'd normally spend her free time, but she was still having fun.
"Do you actually believe any of this?" She asked the person next to her as she shoved a stick of gum into her mouth before offering the other a piece as well.

Where: The diner Who: open to anyone!
Still dressed in her scrubs because the idea of changing into the more restrictive jeans just to pick up food and go home was not a particularly attractive one. Why shower in the hospital showers when she could do it at home in her own environment with french fries nearby? It was a no brainer.
"Uh...french fries, chicken tenders, and a root beer to go please." She blurted out as soon as she got to the counter before realising there was someone else next to her, eyes widening. "Ahh shit, sorry were you waiting? I didn't mean to just jump the line." @aurorabaystarter

Open starter: @aurorabaystarter location: driftwood coffee
The warmth of her chai latte sat untouched beside her, the steam still rising in delicate spirals. She’d been coming to this café for years, the smell of freshly ground coffee beans always drawing her in like a magnet. There was something about the atmosphere—calm but lively—that made it the perfect place to think, or not think at all. Her mind, as it often did, was scattered with a dozen different things, but here, she could let it all float.
Her pen hovered over the page for a moment before she sighed and let it fall, letting herself relax into the cozy corner. Maybe today wasn’t a day for writing. Maybe it was a day for simply being. She took a slow sip of her drink, the warmth comforting her as she glanced around the café, wondering who else was here today. "Hey, yeah that chair is free for the taking or you can join me for coffee." she said to the other with a simple smile.

where: fire and ice bar in seascape hotel
Summers in Aurora Bay were much busier than the winter months but that didn't stop the holiday rush that happened each December at the hotel. Some people flew into town to visit family and friends, while others chose to take their vacations this time of year. No matter the reason, the hotel had been busy.
After endless guest complaints, Mateo had found his way to the restaurant inside the hotel, Fire and Ice Steak House. It was then he was offered a drink by one of the bartenders, and after having spent an excruciating amount of time listening to a guest complain to him about room service, he took them up on it.
He was still on the clock but he was about to take a sip from his martini anyway when he noticed the person beside him. "This isn't what it looks like." He stole a quick glance at his glass before adding, "okay, maybe it is."

It was Wes' day off and he wanted to spend the day with his daughter rather than just staying in the house all day. He was sitting at one of the tables outside of Sweet Nothings when he asked, "Do babies like aquariums? Maybe we could go to the aquarium. Would she even care?" Wes looked down at Elise. "Would you even care?" The baby responded in babbling nonsense that made Wes smile and his heart nearly burst. "I just don't want to sit around all day." He added, speaking to the adult again.

"What the fuck are you supposed to buy your step-mom and step-siblings?" Hinata wasn't a good gift giver to begin with, but considering how little he even knew his step family, he was at a complete loss now. He was looking at little candy gift bags at Aurora's Candy Parlor's booth at the markets. "I was thinking anything food-like would be good but what if they don't even like candy?"

if there was one thing that benji liked to do, it was eat and so there was no surprise to anyone that he'd be at the food truck rodeo. he'd managed to come alone but that didn't stop him from looking for a familiar face to enjoy this food with, which he managed to do as he approached the food truck he was planning on ordering his food from. grinning as he approached them, "hey, hey! i wasn't sure who was going to come around here, especially after the ocean bounty bazaar. i would've loved to go but unfortunately for me, i'm allergic to shellfish so i had to bow out. what about you? did you check that one out or?"
