Tian You Feng Dumpling House, 1428 S Azusa Ave, West Covina, CA 91791

Tian You Feng is a Northern Chinese restaurant specializing in dumplings and beef noodle soup. They do have quite a few types of dumplings, including fish & chive, pork & chive, shrimp & pork, pork & cabbage, shrimp & chicken, and chicken dumplings. You can get them boiled or pan-fried. They also have XLB, won tons, and SJB. They also have your standard Chinese restaurant dishes (the clientele is mixed – not all Chinese) like fried rice, orange chicken, kung pao chicken, and Mongolian beef.
Green onion pancake ($8.99): Barely any scallions, greasy, very thin, chewy with a bit of crunch, good flavor though
Pan fried pork buns (SJB, 6 for $13.99): These were good size buns with golden bottoms. They were served hot and had a bit of juice but they were rather salty and not that juicy. The bun part was very good though.
Service was friendly but a bit slow. There was only one person taking orders, busing tables, cashiering, etc. To order, circle what you want on the laminated menu. I noticed there were a lot of flies inside the restaurant. They have a senior discount. Parking was easy to find in the strip mall.

Paradise Dynasty Philippines Opens Fourth Branch in Greenbelt 5

Our favorite Xiao Long Bao restaurant Paradise Dynasty Philippines recently opened its fourth branch at Greenbelt 5 in Ayala Center, Makati. Loyal customers like me can now get their signature XLBs at more locations in the city after their first three branches in Mall of Asia, SM Podium, and SM Aura.

You can find the newest outlet of Paradise Dynasty at the third level of Greenbelt 5 near the side going to Greenbelt 4. They actually opened last September 2024 but this is just our first time to visit. I had been craving for their delicious XLBs the past week so this is the perfect time for me to take a look and indulge in their newest offerings.

The Greenbelt branch of Paradise Dynasty is their biggest branch so far with a seating capacity of 154 guests including four private dining rooms. Each branch comes with its own unique design and vibe so this one is better for big families and groups.

Paradise Dynasty is a popular international franchise which originated from Singapore and specializes in serving Xiao Long Bao and other delightful Shanghainese dishes. It captures the finer points of bygone Chinese eras in a contemporary style. Paradise Dynasty has been included once again on Tatler Dining Guide’s list of Best Restaurants in 2024, an award they also received in 2022 and 2023.

We always start with their refreshing beverages like the Seasonal Fruit Shake (P180) which come in several options like the melon, mango, or watermelon shakes.

I was really hungry that afternoon so I was ready to devour our orders. The Greenbelt branch has some exclusive dishes that you won't find at the other branches so I also wanted to try some of those.

The star of the show at Paradise Dynasty is always their Xiao Long Bao. Everyone who visits Paradise Dynasty should order the Specialty Dynasty Xiao Long Bao (P488). This basket contains eight different flavors of Xiao Long Bao which are all color coded for easy reference. Paraside Dynasty is the first restaurant which offered this kind of colored Xiao Long Bao set and they will always be remembered for putting their legendary Xiao Long Bao on the global foodie map.

Each Xiao Long Bao has its own unique flavor and taste which really separates this from other Chinese restaurants I have visited. The Xiao Long Bao dumplings are perfectly made, with thin but durable wrappers that do not easily break even with all the hot soup inside.

So how do you usually eat XLBs? First, place a dumpling on your spoon. Next, take small bite out of the side of the dumpling and sip the hot broth. Lastly, dip the dumpling on the XLB sauce and finish the rest of the piece. The procedure is not really as strict as like how the Japanese eat their sushi, so you can consume it however you like.

You can also order each Xiao Long Bao basket with just one type of dumpling. The Original XLB (P230-6pcs / P360-10pcs) continues to be the most popular, but you can also go get the special flavors like the Cheese XLB (P280-6pcs / P450-10pcs) and the Korean Kimchi XLB (P330-6pcs / P540-10pcs). My favorites are the Original, Foie Gras, and most especially the Black Truffle XLBs.

For our next appetizer, we had the Stir Fried Shredded Pork in Black Bean Sauce (P588) which is served with Chinese Crepes that can be used as wrappers.

Place the savory shredded pork inside the crepes, wrap or roll them into bite-sized portions then bite away. The salty and savory pork pairs well with Chinese crepes to help balance the flavors.

The Spicy Szechuan Crispy Chicken (P588) is one of the fiery Szechuan dishes at Paradise Dynasty. This looks really menacing at first glance but those who love spicy dishes will really get a kick out of this. The crunchy chicken cuts are quite tasty and my husband really loved every bite.

Another favorite of mine is the Crispy Fried Crystal Prawns Tossed with Salted Egg Yolk (P688). Now this is one dish that I can finish on my own. The lovely prawns are so plump and delicious. This is definitely the highlight of my afternoon.

Paradise Dynasty offers several interesting noodles on the menu, but they also have an exclusive noodle dish that you won't find in any of their other branches. The La Mian with Crispy Pork Chop in Signature Pork Bone Soup (P480) is a Greenbelt 5 exclusive so I just had to try this for myself.

You can place the noodles on top of the noodles or eat them separately, it's all up to you. For me, I prefer combining them in one bowl since the salty pork chop goes well with the clean tasting broth.

Another exclusive dish at Greenbelt is the Black Pepper Beef (P688). This is a very flavorful and tender beef dish cooked with onions and bell peppers.

It goes really well with fried rice so it's best to eat it with the Fried Rice in Yang Zhou Style (P328). Chinese restaurants tend to serve rice at the end but we asked them to serve this yummy fried rice together with all of the dishes we ordered.

Lastly, we had the Black Sesame Glutinous Rice Ball served with Ginger Soup (P188) for our dessert. This comes with three pieces of glutinous rice balls that had a very unique taste. I really liked it especially with its refreshing ginger soup. I'm really glad that Paradise Dynasty is expanding with more branches that are accessible to its diners. I usually dine at their Podium branch because that is the closest to my residence, but now I have several other options whenever I get the cravings for their XLBs. I'm surely going to visit again really soon.

~Mari's 100 Follower Event~
Hi! I made it to 100 followers which is quite the feat y'know. So although I don't normally take requests I figure it'd be refreshing to try it out! I'll just cut it off at 15 requests (if I even get that many lol) and I'll post to let everyone know when I've reached that number. Otherwise I'll just end it on Monday with however many I get.
Here's the do's, don'ts, and won'ts!
My blog is primarily Wind Breaker, so although it's silly for me to have to say, I'd like to be safe and specify that currently it's only for Wind Breaker characters
I can write for any character, but I don't excel in all of them and if it's one I'm not used to writing, it may take time (please be patient with me I'm so slow even with normal writing)
I can write SFW and NSFW and I'm pretty fine with most kinks (except for maybe scat, incest, or something extremely non-conish. Dubcon is new for me to write but I can try my best)
I don't really feel comfortable writing too much about self harm, miscarriage, other kinda sensitive topics like that, because I don't always have the ability or experience to properly handle them. If there's one you want to ask about though, by all means ask because i may not know if I can write it until you tell me what you're looking for.
I can do either headcanons or just plain writing a scenario/scenes/fic/drabble. If you don't have a preference I'll just pick whichever seems like it'll work for that specific prompt.
If you can't think of anything to request, you could always ask for a sequel to something I've already written or with characters i haven't done that prompt for before. Or you can get on my ass to finish something I've talked about writing but have been procrastinating >_>
I'm always up for AUs.
You could also just bring up something about a character and I'll yap about them if that's want you want. If you didn't already know from following me, I never shut up.
Oh! If you're asking for headcanons please limit the characters to 5 maximum and if it's a longer writing piece maybe 3 max. Otherwise it'll take me too long to go through everyone else's requests :(
I'll have a special tag I keep this event stuff in, and it'll be linked in the masterlist as well.
If there are similar requests, I might pair them up
Sorry I wrote so much! And thank you guys for being so sweet and awesome all the time. You really make it tons of fun to write and chat here, so even if you don't have a request, my DMs and inbox are always open!
#mari's events#i think thatll be it#and before you ask? i absolutely meant to use that gif its fucking hilarious to me#if theres typos here? idc im tired bro#its my birthday and im taking my sister and her friend to nyc so ill be not here most of the day#im getting XLB tho so even though its not MY birthday celebration its still good im so in love with food

Dim Sum Dumpling House, 417 W Main St, Alhambra, CA 91801

Dim Sum Dumpling House took over Nha Trang. Specializing in Northern Chinese dumplings (XLB, SJB, wontons, boiled jiazo), buns, savory meat pies, noodles, fried rice, skewers, spring rolls, sesame balls, etc.
Rainbow combo juicy dumplings (6 for $9.99): This was a nice way to try 6 different kinds of XLB. Each wrapper is a different color. The pork ones (juicy pork, cuttlefish ink juicy pork, spicy pork) tasted very similar. The beef, chicken, and veggie ones were distinct. The wrappers were thin but the tops were too chewy. Each dumpling was juicy and light on the salt. These were not served with any fresh ginger but there was black vinegar at the table. The dumplings looked about average in size and didn’t have much filling. The seasoning could have been bolder.
Steamed pork bun ($2.50): The bun was light and fluffy and the ground pork filling wasn’t too salty. There wasn’t much filling.
Hot tea ($1.50): a big glass of tea with one tea bag
Zhong-zi ($4): simple (glutinous rice, pork) but had more pork than usual, a mix of fatty and lean pork, there was too much soy sauce though (too salty)
The food was steamed to order so it took about 20 minutes before the food appeared. The service was efficient. The interior looked the same as it did when it was Nha Trang. It’s a small place.

Paradise Dynasty Still Offers the Best Flavored Xiao Long Bao in the City

It's been a while since my last visit to Paradise Dynasty and I had been thinking about their flavored Xiao Long Bao for quite some time now. There are many other restaurants around the city that offer these delectable soupy dumplings, but I have always kept coming back to the place that introduced me to the many different flavors and variants that these tasty XLBs can come in.

It was time for The Hungry Kat to rediscover the signature dishes and flavors of Paradise Dynasty Philippines. I have dined several times at their original branch in S Maison (Read: Legendary Xiao Long Bao at Paradise Dynasty) but this was my first time to visit their branch at SM Aura Premier which you can easily find on Level 2.

The SM Aura outlet comes with the same elegance and charm as their two other branches in Metro Manila. Paradise Dynasty is a popular international franchise which originated from Singapore and specializes in serving Xiao Long Bao and other delightful Shanghainese dishes.

Their pioneering branch in S Maison was where I first had a taste of their signature XLBs. Paradise Dynasty has been included once again on Tatler Dining Guide's list of Best Restaurants in 2024, an award they also received in 2022 and 2023.

Their Podium branch is the one I usually visit nowadays since this is closest to my residence. Paradise Dynasty is planning to open two more branches later this year including one at Greenbelt 5 so that should bring them closer to everyone.

I was really excited to be back at Paradise Dynasty. While the SM Aura branch may be a bit smaller than their first two branches, it does feel more homey and relaxing to dine in.

We ordered some of their Seasonal Fruit Shakes (P150) to begin our adventure. My husband had the Watermelon Shake while I had the Mango Shake. These are refreshing beverages to have during this hot summer season.

For our appetizers, we started with the Stewed Bamboo Shoots in Oyster Sauce (P238). This is the first time I have seen bamboo shoots prepared this way so it was quite an interesting dish. It's a healthy appetizer that should be featured more often.

Next up was the Sliced Beef and Tripe in Spicy Szechuan Sauce (P488). This one really comes with a spicy kick so my husband enjoyed having several bites of this fiery starter.

There are also several dim sum items on the menu like the Steamed Vegetable Bun (P150) which is another healthy way to explore Shanghainese cuisine.

The star of the show at Paradise Dynasty is always their Xiao Long Bao. Everyone who visits Paradise Dynasty has to order their Specialty Dynasty Xiao Long Bao (P488).

There's actually a recommended sequence of eating these flavored XLBs as shown on the paper that comes with it. Start with the Original (white) in the middle which is the traditional pork soup dumpling filled with chicken broth. Then go clockwise starting with the Korean Kimchi (green), Foie Gras (brown), Black Truffle (black), Cheese (yellow), Crab Roe (orange), Garlic (gray), and finally ending with the Szechuan (red).

The procedure is not really as strict as like how the Japanese eat their sushi, so you can eat it however you like.

Once you have your own favorite flavors, you can order each Xiao Long Bao basket with just one type of dumpling. The Original XLB (P230-6pcs / P360-10pcs) continues to be the most popular, but you can also go get the special flavors like the Szechuan XLB (P280-6pcs / P450-10pcs). My favorites are the Cheese, Foie Gras, and most especially the Black Truffle XLBs.

Paradise Dynasty offers several interesting noodles on the menu. One of them is the La Main with Pork Wanton in Hot Chili Vinaigrette (P300). This semi-dry noodle comes with spicy pork wonton dumplings that really go well with the noodles.

Now let's try some more of their hot dishes. The Stir Fried Shredded Pork in Black Bean Sauce (P588) is served with Chinese Crepes that can be used as wrappers.

Place the savory shredded pork inside the crepes, wrap or roll them into bite-sized portions then bite away. The salty and savory pork pairs well with Chinese crepes to help balance the flavors.

One of their fiery Szechuan specialties is the Poached Sliced Fish in Szechuan Chili Oil (P1288) which is really as hot as it looks. The fish slices are really so good to eat, although the soup base is really red and spicy. This bowl can be good for up to four adventurous persons so make sure you are up for it.

Another dish for those who like it hot is the Stir-fried Shrimps in Spicy Bean and Tomato Sauce (P588). The spiciness level of these shrimps is way up there and while I may not be that comfortable with very spicy dishes, my husband happily took care of finishing this item.

The Deep Fried Garlic Pork Ribs (P588) is a dish that everyone will enjoy. We paired these crispy pork ribs with their Shanghai Fried Rice which was also so good and fragrant.

One of my favorite hot dishes at Paradise Dynasty is the Stir-Fried Beef with Kai Lan (P588). These tender slices of beef are cooked in oyster sauce resulting in a rich and very flavorful dish that would also really go well with fried rice.

For our dessert, we enjoyed nibbling on the Charcoal Custard Lava Bun (P188). This Darth Vader-looking bun is quite heavenly with its gooey salted egg yolk custard that just oozes out when you bite it. The custard has just the right amount of flavor, not too rich or salty, so you can finish all three pieces in one sitting if you don’t want to share. I actually prefer having my custard bun as a dessert instead of an appetizer but you can do that as well.

We would like to thank Xchosa Deniega for hosting our small reunion at Paradise Dynasty in SM Aura Premier. It had been a while since we last met her so we were all happy sharing our recent travel adventures over a hearty and flavorful lunch. If you want to enjoy these yummy dishes, you can visit any of their three branches or order online via Grabfood, Foodpanda, Pickaroo and SM Online for delivery.

Erranboric Pride Flag
Erranboric or eranboric/eransboric: an umbrella term for those who are not attracted to non-binary people anymore; a label in which one's enboric attraction has partially or fully vanished.

Hey, I’m just reaching out to people on Tumblr, it’s not one of those weird sexual blogs trying to get your attention. I’m just curious, you’ve probably heard of Jesus and God, but have you ever reached out to Jesus for problems in your life? Big or small. If you don’t want to talk, that is completely fine, I truly don’t want to force anything on you because that isn’t very kind and it kinda sucks. I hope you’re having an awesome day!!
I hope you’re doing well!! 💕
