I have a question:
Was 'Blade of Frontiers' a name that Wyll picked for himself or did people just start calling him that?
#bc if he chose the name himself#i'm imagining wyll like a few years into this whole thing#being like maybe i should brand myself#wyll is too common#and maybe if he has a fun hero name people can call him he can feel better#and just spending time figuring out what would be cool#and then maybe when someone asks what can they call him he's like you can call me the blade of frontiers#and it would be kinda funny but wholesome if he cringed at first when saying it out loud the first time#but then idk some kid thanks him and calls him that#and he's like yeah i can do this thing#anyways if people just randomly started calling him that ignore all these tags

Thinking about how BG3 goes “Gods will not save you unless you become one yourself. And even then, to get to their level, are you rising, or falling?”
#athy rambles#baldurs gate 3#baldur's gate 3#'gods will not save you' goes especially to#shadowheart#lae'zel#astarion#gale#wyll#and as for becoming one? well.#god gale#ascended astarion#tav#durge#like. I dunno. in rising to godhood you end up losing so much. you are remarkable both ways but now you're no longer remarkably human.#remarkably divine feels all too common.

I am actually having so many thoughts about bg3 characters when it comes to body image bc themes of bodily autonomy are just so present in this game
#like. astarion and halsin are the obvious ones for this bc astarion doesn’t even know what he looks like and halsin is halsin#but the others?? karlach literally having her body taken apart and put back together by zariel?? wyll forcibly being changed by mizora??#the very common headcanon that gale’s abs are an illusion?? shadowheart’s overall trans vibes? lae’zel whose body has been seen as a weapon#jaheira and her whole anti-ageing scroll can be taken in a different direction too. hell even minthara’s torture by orin#the emperor and what it means to have been a man and now something Else? i could even see it with the selûnites bc of their circumstances#there’s just SO SO MUCH to explore here and I’m gonna do it as soon as my computer finishes its download#bg3#ALSO. raphael. bc haarlep is an idealised version of himself lbr. and my last tav (denandras) definitely has some complex feelings about it

As a wyllstarion girly I love most all Wyll ships because I love Wyll first and foremost and care about his happiness above all else. That's why as soon as Astarion stans start acting up I'm entertaining bladeweave.
#Wyllzel is a close second to bladeweave but shadowzel has my heart and soul so really I'd just like Lae'zel to fuck Wyll sloppy#Same w wyllsin.... I do not like haIsin but he would fuck Wyll so good and my princess needs that#Wyllheart is like two fucking weirdos find each other in the commonality of playing a part/missing the piece of their parents in their lives#I don't like Wyll x Karlach tho bc they are best friends and that is more important to me than any romance#Platonic love is just as if not MORE powerful#I fuck with wyllthara too it'd be so bad but also so funny.

.....Other weird rough draft notes...
So Mizora is just a post game supporting character since she's basically helping Wyll get through the adjustment of needing to play the political side of things and seems to jujst be vibing and having a fun time with it.
She's a fucking delight to write as an ally character for things like ball/masqurade scenes especially with a still adjusting Duke Wyll and Mizora who's similarly hanging with the wall since she isn't used to how to handle these things on the surface.
Meanwhile Mizora and Ilz are basically becoming quick friends because oh right this would be his normal party if recruited where he should be.
#....And I make up for all my teasing the emperor for being a terrible manipulator while putting him in situations where he can be cool heade#and basically how I solidify him looking at the DG disguise as just a tool for convience and not something Ilz prefers .#.....I am baby and have them sneak off to dance without it :3#Also he was denied one of the many common illithid loves of fashion too long.#I make up for it.#let him have formal wear.#let him have squid adjacent formalwear while a half elf that duke wyll's dad can't call out publically (hense using it at all.)#he's just an ally they worked with closely while on the road ;) not the emperor obviously :D#*leaves the room immeidately full squid* <3#sorry this was about my delight in writing Mizora as weird ally to the unethical polycule because she just wants to have a fun time#and does canonically give wyll a long leash and help to keep his time as duke smooth#she's just vibing now.

Sometimes when I'm sad, I like to imagine the events of BG3 taking place in a place like Chicago. Some weird ass alternative universe, magic and gods a bit looser and not always certain with a few modern careers blurred between the lines so SOME people can get better happy endings.
And no, I will not elaborate.
#baldurs gate 3#Dr Shadowheart...can you imagine it?#she gives off vetierinarian after the apocalypse starts vibes then#Hippe Halsin tho?? mm#Astarion probably wouldn't be too much different#other than more surprise that omg vampires from movies are real!#“wdym you don't sparkle??” -dialogue option for Tav#people with horns being kinda normal since people might take a dragon to work in some parts of the country/world but OH MY GOD HELL IS REAL#Karlach and Wyll just side eyein each other in that convo with Mizora just sippin a twisted tea#Gales from new york. we dont talk about what went down in the new york#but he'd like to pretend to be a common magician#and Astarion tries to convince him to help him mug people with his REAL magic#and lae'zel? bro after the gov revealed that there are aliens#you know people in Chicago would just scoff at the githyanki

btw the more i think about it, the more the idea of chiyo being one of the druids from the grove appeals to me. not just bc of the potential dynamics in that community, but also bc she's obviously gonna be so invested in those people -- the druids and the tieflings -- so the decision to move on with the companions to figure out the tadpole situation would be a hard one. and i love putting my oc's through hard things : )
#she comes home to kagha in charge and apparently trying to kick people out and chiyo's just??? oh heck no#i'm also thinking about the companions she'd get along with and i think she'd find common ground with everyone#that's her specialty after all miss chameleon changing her personality to suit others#but miss karlach would have her heart bc she's just so ;;;; you know ;;;; so kind and loyal and it would catch chiyo off guard i think ;;;#she'd find gale fun to talk to and kinda funny bc sir why are you saying so many words to make your point#but also keep talking bc it sounds really nice <3#the banter between her shadowheart and astarion would be good i feel it#and wyll would be really easy for her to get along with too -- even laezel i feel wouldn't be difficult for chiyo to get used to#everyone else is so bristled around her and chiyo is just 'y'all chill' and i wanna get into that but my brain is growing mushier#by the second asdfg#BOTTOM LINE bg3 verse for chiyo is pending and you should maybe plot dynamics with me when i'm not about to pass out :' )#get ready to ramble | ooc

Petty Jealousy ❣
Tav's companions cannot fathom them potentially having other friends. ❥ Astarion/reader, Astarion/Tav, but also Companions/reader. I'm a Tavrem supremacist. ❥ Contains my own personal headcanon for why the companions call them "Tav" instead of their first name, which is justification for me loopholing the eternal problem of xreader writers having to wince when they use "F/N" or "Y/N". ❥ They/them pronouns for Tav/reader!
“Look,” Astarion hisses, “look at that!”
5 pairs of eyes land on the offender of the night (which, to their surprise, isn’t Astarion) who conversed pleasantly with the leader of their party. A half-elf with a sharp jaw, proud brow, and mirthful eyes looks extraordinarily ordinary compared to their merry band of freaks.
“Who is that, again?” Shadowheart asks absently. “Tav suggested I rest for today instead of mapping out the Underdark with the party, and the next thing I know, they’ve brought back another little companion.”
Astarion’s jaw twitches. He snaps out, “Companion or complication?”
Gale crosses his arms, shrugging, used to Astarion’s temper running hot then cold. “His name is Nilmorn - a luthier. Tav took an interest in his wares. He makes a living selling stringed instruments in the Underdark. Strange place to sell such things.”
Ugh. Astarion sighs, shaking his head. Leave it to Gale to traipse over the obvious. A sharpened mind like his would surely know that this Nilmorn has no place here, if not to be a bloodbag for him to slurp on. Beyond that, what use does this pretty boy have? Nilmorn sells wares that are utterly useless to them. He’s quite boring and one-dimensional, too, a character that strays too much into the side of “moral good” for Astarion to tolerate.
“Yes, yes, Gale, but have you considered how strange it is that he has invited himself to our camp?” Astarion flares out his hand towards the wizard, as if handing him common sense on his palm.
“I,” Gale begins, blinking his wet, beautiful brown eyes at Astarion, “invited myself to this journey, Astarion. I am quite hurt you forgot. I thought what we had was special!”
“Yes, but you’re weird!” Astarion exclaims. “You’re a freak with a bomb in your body because of your situationship with Mystra! That,” Astarion points an accusatory finger in the direction of Nilmorn, in which 5 pairs of eyes look at him again, “is someone so unbelievably normal he doesn’t even have any, any…” He gestures, articulates with his hands to placate his words.
“No dubious motives?” Shadowheart offers, a smirk coyly playing on her lips.
“No complicated backstory?” Wyll pipes in. Astarion’s eyes flicker to him, and irritation seeps into his skin when he finds Wyll smiling wryly, as if the warlock is in on some joke he is not picking up on. “No, I don’t know, god that has let him down in some way, shape, or form?”
“Certainly no skills for fighting.” Lae’zel, thank the gods for Lae’zel. Her smooth voice hides none of her displeasure, and those sharp, slitted eyes stare across the fire to dig daggers into Nilmorn’s back. “Useless. We have no need for string-ed instruments. Let Tav pick one, and send this half-elf on his way.”
Yes. Yes. Astarion nods eagerly.
“Hmmm. I almost envy his mundaneity,” Karlach adds, “but I mean, he’s not that bad, Astari. Man’s just trying to make the world a better place, one string at a time.”
Astarion almost throws up. He looks to the other companions helplessly. “Darlings. Please tell me you are not going to let Karlach get away with saying something so putridly motivational.”
Karlach tosses her head back and cackles, much to Astarion's chagrin.
“Something is obviously bothering you,” Shadowheart states bluntly. Her green eyes watch his expression carefully in the firelight; she finds something there, but does not say it outright. With an exhale through her nose, as if it is painful for her to attempt a conversation with him, Shadowheart decides to throw him a bone: “Are you jealous?”
He does not catch the bone. The bone slams right into his head as he stares at Shadowheart, slack-jawed and scandalized. Him? Jealous? “You must be joking.”
“Aw,” Shadowheart croons, another one of her insufferable smirks toying on her lips, “you are.”
If he had mindflayer powers beyond reading her reprehensible surface-level thoughts, he would make Shadowheart’s head explode. Or something.
He must establish his dignity in the group once more. He cannot handle more of this, especially not with Wyll grinning so wide, not self-aware enough that if he did not have a sexy demon controlling his life because he didn’t read the terms of conditions of a motherfucking contract, Astarion would bully him more.
“That is not the point here. Look,” he says. “I am just saying that our Tav is desirable in every way. Physically, we can all agree that Tav is attractive. Yes?”
Yes. They all nod their heads.
“Tav is a little strange, but they are our leader, and they got us this far somehow. Who knew caring about other people could go a long way.”
Yes. They all nod their heads, except Wyll and Karlach, who look amongst the group with sheer disappointment on their faces. “Gods,” Karlach groans into her hand, “we– we need to unpack that later, gang. That’s just really sad.”
“Lastly, Tav is strong. Strong enough to split apart the mountains and the sky, I imagine.” Strong enough to bury Cazador into the ground, hopefully. “Strong enough to face a god unwaveringly. Strong enough to persevere. Strong enough to be kind, despite everything. Despite what they think, they are charismatic, and they are the entire package. The only person who does not know of their value is Tav themselves.”
They watch Tav’s lips quirk into a smile as Nilmorn holds a lyre out for them upon his smooth hands. Smooth, no sign of scars, no sign of complications. Just so unbearably mundane. Unbearably good. Unbearably kind.
Unbearably unaware of their true nature.
Nilmorn does not know why they nicknamed them Tav, despite their name being [F/N]. Their unstoppable quench to loot everything and anything set back their timeline by weeks, no doubt. Reaching into barrels, reaching into the pockets of bandits, reaching into damn silk cocoons, reaching into whatever their curious little hands can salvage. It annoyed Astarion at first, but then Tav would find all of these weapons and armors and foods and coins and books. Normalcies and luxuries that made camp life feel less of a drab and more exciting.
The gleaming, golden dagger at his side? They found it. The boots, the armor, the enchanted rings and necklaces they either found, bartered, or killed for their companions. Thus - Tav, short for tavara, the word meaning wares and merchandise; a clever little nickname Gale came up for their leader who is too good for all of them combined.
“Any other party could whisk them away, you know,” Astarion says. “Tav could find a party of good, decent people, unlike any of us, without the mess and complication and hurt we cause them, and leave. Remember, my dears. It is not us who is irreplaceable. It is Tav.”
How long would Tav tolerate him? Not long, he thinks. Long enough until he has expended his use for them, surely, but not forever. That's why anyone who wants Tav beyond sex or strength is a threat. If he hadn’t seduced his way into their heart, he wouldn’t be here where he stands, with a group of people who make him feel a little less alone.
No doubt he would be in a cage on the back of a covered wagon that belongs to that disgusting gyr, Gandrel, his chain to Cazador growing shorter and shorter.
Silence. Tense and still. They watch as Tav laughs lightly, eyes alighting with amusement as Nilmorn cracks another joke.
"You should meet my other companions," they hear Nilmorn offer, "I just know they would love to have you."
Revelation slams into each and every one of them like a magic missile.
“He’s not that funny,” Shadowheart mutters. She bends down, hands gripping tightly around the handle of her mace. “I don’t know why they are laughing that hard.”
“He can try to leave with his head on his shoulders,” snarls Lae’zel, “just say the word, Astarion.”
Excellent.
“What-” Wyll turns to Gale and Karlach. “We should stop them, shouldn’t we? There are no implications of this man trying to steal Tav away, he's just being nice, you worthless cunts! This is not fair to him!”
“We’re in the Underdark, aren’t we? Super deep. Doubt anyone who cares for him will come looking for him.”
“Karlach!”
“Astute observation! To make this all a little easier on us, I can most certainly put this man to sleep.”
“Gale?!”
“Go on, Lae’zel,” Astarion grins wickedly, “attack!”
“Oh, hells,” Wyll stumbles back, then turns quickly to the other direction towards Halsin. “Halsin! Halsin - they’re trying to murder someone again!”

bg3 companions + their reactions to finding out they knocked up fem tav? 👀 (for the ladies we can say they're trans or it's magic)
I wrote my boy first because he’s the best, can you guess who it is? Hint: He’s my first romance. No guess for you lovely requestor because you know too much LOL
Also I’m ignoring cannon endings here because we want to end up happy with babies. No angst here, begone!
Warnings: Implied Sex, Implied Sexual Situations, Pregnant Tav, Babies, Pregnancy Thing (Morning Sickness)
Astarion:
At first, he thinks that you’re joking. Vampires can’t have children after all, that’s a pretty basic fact. When you’re insistent, part of him wants to accuse you of cheating, as much as it pains him. That’s a part of him still tainted by Cazador and he muffles it as best he can. Astarion is going to insist you go to a healer together; if you’re not pregnant, something must be going on you need help with. When Shadowheart confirms you’re with child, he’s at a loss. Astarion doesn’t know what to say, truly.
After the initial shock, he goes on the hunt for anything and everything about human-vampire babies. The records are hard to find and some are locked far, far away but he finds them all. He can be very persuasive after all. It’s in one of these books that he figures out how you two made a baby; he’s going to be very careful taking your blood from now on. Speaking of, Astarion will refuse to drink from you while you pregnant, no ifs ands or buts. This is a firm boundary for him, even if you smell more and more delicious the farther along you get.
The pregnancy is hard and Astarion is afraid he’s going to lose you. The birth is especially gruesome and it’s only because of Shadowheart and Halsin that you’re alive. He wants to resent the baby for how you suffered but he can’t, they’re just too perfect. He’s afraid of getting too close, of tainting this little thing but you refuse to let him be apart. The first time he holds your child he weeps and it’s over. Astarion is always going to struggle with his emotions and feelings about being a father but never about how much he loves them. Also, he’s completely in charge of their wardrobe; you’re going to have the best-looking baby in the entire city hands down.
Gale:
Gale was always on the fence about kids. Sure they’re cute but they’re also loud and he struggles to take care of himself, let alone a little squishy creature. That doesn’t mean he’s upset when you tell him you’re pregnant, not at all. He’s just doing furious calculations in his mind and it looks like he’s crashed. Give his brain a moment to reset and he’ll give you a large grin and lean down to kiss you. Tara is the first person the two of you tell and she’s excited, vowing to be the baby’s protector. Gale loves her even more which is quite the feat. His mother is next and she immediately starts offering help. He just can’t get over how perfect his family is, it feels like a dream sometimes.
He takes a very technical approach to your pregnancy, like everything. Gale is reading all of the baby books and using all of the tracking charts he can get his hands on. He even goes to talk to midwives, wanting an expert opinion. It’s very sweet of him but you have to remind him that all babies grow at their own pace. He just wants to be the best dad he can and for him, that means more information. It is funny to watch him change a diaper for the first time but he never backs down from a challenge! Maybe he can use magic…?
He’s a mess when you actually go into labor. Gale swore he would be with you the entire time and then passed out in the final moments. He wakes up to a healthy baby and immediately starts crying. He enjoys being a dad, especially teaching your child new things. Your kid is going to have a huge curious streak that Gale will feed with vigor. He doesn’t consciously want your kid to be a wizard but would be overjoyed to have more in common with them.
Wyll:
Wyll is over the moon, as surprised as he is. Kids are something that he’s always wanted to have eventually and with you, his favorite person? What could go wrong? Of course, he’ll hear out your concerns if you have any and can have difficult conversations around pregnancy and child birth. One benefit of being a noble is that he has resources to help; whatever you want will be yours. He’s nervous to tell his dad but once the older man starts to tear up, he knows that he’s made a good choice. Wyll wants his family to be whole and happy.
He’s a chronic hoverer, as cute and frustrating as that is. Even in the early stages of pregnancy Wyll will try to do everything for you; moving a trunk? He’s got that, don’t strain yourself. Trying to cook dinner? Let him help you love. Be firm that you can do things yourself and he’ll back off. Just know that when you turn to ask him for help he’ll be waiting in the wings to be your hero. He’s also a pro at helping you figure out cravings. Wyll won’t complain if you wake him up in the middle of the night to go get something from the kitchen. He loves wrapping his arms around you from behind and rocking together; you being in his arms is his favorite thing.
He’s a trooper during the birth, being there the entire time. It takes a long time and he does worry but he encourages you and is your personal cheerleader. He can’t stop smiling after the baby is born, tracing their cheeks and forehead. As much as it would be funny to say Wyll struggles with being a dad, he really doesn’t. He loves your child so much, you’re surprised he never brought up kids in the first place. He is very much the definition of doting father but don’t let that fool you, he takes no disrespect, especially towards you. You’re the ruler of the house and Wyll is your backup. He’s the perfect mix of fun and strict dad. Now if he can convince you to have others…
Karlach:
Karlach is over the moon when you find our you’re pregnant. She had noticed you felt off and encouraged you to go to the doctor. Neither of you were expecting the baby news, as silly as it sounds. That doesn’t stop her form immediately lifting you up with a loud ‘whoop!’ and spinning your around the room. She loves babies! She loves you! This is going to be great.
She insists on redoing a room just for the baby. Even if their crib is going to be in your room for the first few months, Karlach wants your kid to have their own space. She paints the walls, builds all the furniture, everything. She asks for you opinion on decorations and doesn’t do anything without checking with you first but it’s her labor of love. It’s also her project for when she gets anxious thinking about the future. What is something goes wrong with her heart? What if something is wrong with the baby? What is the birth is too much for you? All of these thoughts get washed away in making the baby’s room perfect and then she goes to talk to you.
Karlach helps as much as she can during the birth aka you kick her (lovingly) into the hall to go grab towels so she stops hovering. When she gets back the baby is almost here and there’s no time to panic, just watch with wide eyes. She thinks you’re even more of a badass for going through all that and asks to hold the baby fist. Karlach cries holding them; they’re so cute and small and they’re the perfect mix of the two of you. She’s defiantly going to be the fun mom and there will be moments where it feels like you have two kids to scold. She takes safety very seriously, however, and is the first to lecture about stranger danger. Your kid will never feel unloved or unsafe, Karlach swears it on her life. This is her family now and no one else can have them.
Lae’zel:
Lae’zel struggles with the news that you’re having a baby. Partly because she never thought that she could have kids and the other part because she’s terrified about being a mom. She wasn’t raised in a traditional Faerunian way; no where on the continent can be compared to being raised Gith. She needs time to process on her own and it’ll be a few days before she comes back ready to talk. Take her concerns seriously and, if you truly want to keep the baby, she’ll raise them with you. She loves you after all.
It takes her a bit to understand all the changes your body is going through. It’s horrifying and amazing to watch your stomach swell and she loves gently cradling your bump as it grows. She doesn’t know what to do about the crying, except when someone else makes you cry. Then it’s easy: she wants to kill them. That usually makes you laugh and you’re able to talk her out of bodily harm. You do have some nice shop discounts now. Lae’el is very much your guard dog and she fulfills her position with pride.
The entire birthing process just shows Lae’zel that you’re the strongest person she knows. She’s completely impressed by how you handle everything and has a new respect for moms everywhere. She still thinks it’s gross and inefficient but badass all the same. Lae’zel is a strict mom but soft in her own way. She’s still learning to be kind to herself and the world around her. Your child will never feel the brunt of her frustration or confusion; they will, however, be able to swing a sword much too young. She beams with pride the first time your child beheads a training dummy and you know, deep deep down, that the two of them going to be trouble.
Shadowheart:
She starts to notice the signs before you do, honestly. At first it’s little things; you’re tired quicker, you’re more sensitive to certain smells. The big one is that you start to get morning sickness, frequently. Shadowheart finally sits you down after the fifth morning in a row over a bucket and checks you over. You’re pregnant all right, not doubt there. She’s going to be as surprised as you; you were both good about protection. Surprise baby!
She’s fairly neutral about kids. She never thought that she would have any, serving Shar, but now there’s a little more appeal to them. The pooping and crying she could live without but the idea of there being someone made up of the two of you? Shadowheart likes the idea more than she would admit out loud. She starts researching pregnancy healing the midwifery right away; she doesn’t have a lot of expertise with babies but she is a healer.
Shadowheart insists on delivering your baby herself. She wants to be a part of this and while you’re going to be doing the hard part, she wants to support you. If you have an issue, she will relent but has to be in the room. Your delivery is flawless and as she holds the bloody baby in her hands, she feels full. Of love and hope and excitement, all those emotions she once would have sworn off. For the first time since you’ve found out you’re pregnant, she’s excited to be a mom. She’s a strict but loving mom, teasing her kid and embarrassing them in public (just a little, like a cheek pinch). Shadowheart loves singing to your kids, something neither of you knew until now. Your house is full of love and laughter and singing, just perfect.

Can I request headcanons for Astarion, Gale, Wyll, and Halsin reacting to gn s/o telling him how hot it was to them that he came in his pants please?
Astarion
Astarion is humiliated and lashes out because of it.
He is supposed to be the one to make them so flustered and consumed with lust that they cum in his pants. Not him!
He isn’t meant to loose control like this. Be excited this way. Has he ever been excited this way, like a bumbling virgin, it all these 200 years?
Astarion would tell them they are disgusting; even though he doesn’t mean it, he’s just disgusted in himself. Then he will slither off to change his pants and be mortified in private.
Gale
Gale is embarrassed, of course. Cumming in your pants like an over excited teenager is not something that has happened to him since his academy days. But he’s not surprised.
He’s been almost entirely celibate for almost a year. No physical touch at all, and no romantic feelings either. Completely numb.
Meeting them is like having the flood gates not only open but burst (no pun intended).
Gale takes it in stride though. Comments on their beautiful being the cause, and flattered that they think it's attractive. Tells them about his confinement so they understand that this is not a normal occurrence usually. Then sets to prove his worth as a lover by returning the favor thrice over.
Wyll
Wyll is surprised it came on so quickly. Usually he’s not caught off guard.
It’s embarrassing, to be sure, but no use crying over spilled milk. Or, in this case, cum.
Wyll has been the gentleman for long enough. And while he will always put their honor, protection, and affection above all else, he has also waited too long for this moment. He isn’t going to give it up.
So, in true dive in first fashion, he just takes off his pants and they keep going. They have to come off anyway in the end. Wyll calls them a naughty boy/girl when they tell him it’s hot while he takes of theirs.
Halsin
Honestly? Halsin is just relieved that this is the outcome, instead of him shifting into bear shape. Maybe that says something about his two halves coming together again, or the calm his wild shape feels when he is with him.
He isn’t embarrassed, though a little disappointed that he will have to wait now to be inside them. His stamina is high but not infinite.
When they tell him it’s hot that he came in his pants for them, he makes a common on ‘this is why I prefer sky clad’ but also feels the beast in him growl with desire. Maybe it’s not so ‘tame’ after all.
He reaches his hands into his pants to offer his spilled seed to them from his fingers. No use in wasting it. Watching them clean it off sets his cock hard again, and Halsin is ready to go.

Seeing as how you can trip and end up in someone's gooch early in the game, would DUDrow be down for any one night stands with anyone? If so, who? Or if not, why not? (Prelocking in with Astarion)
Also I'm finally getting along in the game and it's kind of a shame DUDrow ended up killing Lae'zel, I feel like they'd end up having a lot in common in the Reject Bhaal/Reject Vlaakith timeline
Hmmmm nobody in the party is really his type EXCEPT for Astarion and Shadowheart, and he's a pretty superficial man when it comes to this kind of thing. I think if Astarion was unavailable, he might try his luck with Shar's favorite princess, but based on her in-game interactions I'm guessing she would turn him down, or stop things before they went too far. Jaheira would be a strong contender if he was single all the way into act 3, though something tells me she might not be so keen to humor him either - flattered, maybe, and I bet she would humor his flirting, but that's about it.
Everyone else flies completely over his radar. Karlach is too butch and rowdy. Lae'zel is too stiff and gruff. Wyll drives him up the wall in all of the wrong ways. Halsin, too big and hairy. Gale is as attractive as a slice of stale white bread in his eyes. I know Mizora is down (and he does find Mizora VERY attractive) but boy would he be disappointed by the whole hells tour sexcapade.
And Indeed, I very much doubt Lae'zel and DU drow would have ever become friends, but they would have been very amused by each other in the least given enough time.
Korilla could also get it but he will never admit it.

Do you think that Astarion is actually decently intelligent or do you think he is real good at hiding his own stupidity?
Ohhh this is an interesting question. I have a whole theory on why Astarion seems like a ditz in game.
Astarion was (technically still is) a magistrate. The man is smart. He went to law school, and likely grew up highly educated. He's not stupid. His vocabulary is quite rich, though you can also attribute that to 200 years ago being the last time he had an earnest conversation with another being. The version of common spoken now in Faerûn is a bit duller. Even Wyll and Gale, also two highly educated men, don't speak the way Astarion does. Wyll even mentions at one point how Astarion's choice of words gives away his age (the whole "agog" bit).
However.
Given how smart Astarion is, him playing the helpless fool works in two ways for him: 1) it guarantees protection from others by way of gaining sympathy; and 2) it allows him to get close to potential targets without raising much suspicion. Mind you, those are both things he did (or at least tries to do) to Tav/Durge if you romance him.
HOWEVER.
My theory toward why he seems a bit off in terms of smarts has to do with him being enthralled by Cazador. Cazador keeps the spawn underfed on purpose as a way to make them more submissive and easily controlled. Their minds are clouded constantly by hunger -- only ever getting enough to keep themselves from going feral. Blood could dance under their noses and they'd never be able to touch it, unless Cazador wills it.
Astarion is essentially starved when we first meet him. But not for long, as he quickly takes off into the night to hunt (probably something he did at first just to see if he could and likely out of pure desperation). Once he realizes he can gorge himself on whatever amount of animal blood he can, he graduates to pushing the boundaries of another rule: the blood of thinking creatures. Yet another thing that was banned by Cazador. Astarion comments on how much sharper his mind is after having fed on the PC.
Anyway, my theory is that once Cazador is dealt with and Astarion is free, he slowly begins to regain all his prior memories as well as his intelligence. Everything is just being suppressed. Once Cazador is gone and he's given regular feedings, the man is a menace. A "too smart for his own good" menace.

Headcannons for a Tav who exhausted after a day of staying home with the kids
(If you guys like these I'd like to make a second one with Wyll, Karlach, Zevlor, and Rolan.)
AN- Happy Birthday to me! I am highly intoxicated while posting this so sorry if it sucks ASS.
Minthara
-”My dear, why are our children making so much noise? I cannot hear myself think.”
-Finds you in absolute shambles over two unruly toddlers, one is crying because you gave her what he asked for and the other is practically hanging from the curtains.
-”In Menzoberranzan, a mother kills children who are bad, but I have grown quite fond of them and would hate for our children to meet an untimely demise at the end of a silver sword.”
-Though you want to chide Minthara for threatening to kill the kids as a punishment it works, but you’ll definitely have to talk about it with her later
Gale
-“Why are you crying, are you alright, is she alright?” *Gale panic*
-Finds you in bed crying because of some awful postpartum.
-”My mother has been wanting to see her, I’ll bring her over there for a bit. You rest, you bathe, I’ll bring home food. I’ve got her. I’ve got you.”
-Gale bundles her up and makes sure you have everything that you need before he goes. When he comes back, he brings too many gifts from his mother and food for you. And of course, your favorite sweet treat.
Astarion
-“Are there gremishkas loose in our home?”
-Astarion wakes from trance around sundown to find you crying over a fussy teething dhampir and an equally whiny toddler who didn’t have a nap.
-”Do you think we should go to the night market, little one? And I think your baby brother would also appreciate the night air as well” *Astarion with a baby bundled to his chest (with a sling) so he can always have a free hand in my guilty pleasure*
-When he comes back with both kids settled, he puts you to bed to rub your feet and tell you how much he appreciates you creating two miracles after he’s had such a miserable life.
Shadowheart
-”Come on boys, you can help mummy on the farm this afternoon.”
-Shadowheart wasn’t blind to your snippy tone with her and she also wasn’t blind to the problem either. 2 over ecstatic boys who were just over the moon that school was out for the summer.
-”Tomorrow you all can help me tend to the plants and animals all day. Does that sound fun?”
-Shadowheart will smother you in kisses that night after you’re finally a little less overstimulated, if you ask maybe she’ll do some of those Sharran torture tactics on you after the boys are tucked in of course.
Halsin
-”They are children, my heart. They are untamed beasts.”
-Halsin will laugh and kiss your forehead as if you’re the silliest of geese, but he’ll still take out all of the adopted children, just to give you a much needed break.
-The kids come back with every rock, flower, and stick that made them think of you. Each one of them telling you of the adventures daddy Halsin had taken them on that day.
-”It is my job as your husband to care for the children as well, my heart. Just tell me if you need a break.”
Lae’zel
-“Xan, your mother is the liberator of our people and you’re treating her like any common istik.”
- Lae’zel takes the overzealous boy out to run him through some drills. When he comes back inside he’s tired and remembers why you’re his favorite parent.
-”I told him we don’t make women cry. Especially our mothers and then I made him do twenty sword swings.”
-Xan doesn’t like swords so he will definitely not be acting a fool like that again.
-*I wasn’t really sure what to do with Lae’zel because I didn’t raise the egg with her. We did hot lesbian gith and bard stuff And by stuff, I mean fighting Vlaakith’s warriors.

okay but does it ever kill you how much Wyll loves being the Blade of Frontiers? I think we tend to think of Wyll as this serious, stoic guy, but he's so ridiculously silly about his whole superhero persona. He grew up absolutely in love with storybook heros and tales of bravery and all the bard songs and legends. Look at his reaction to meeting Minsc and Boo!
He must love getting to be a figure like that for a whole new generation of kids. He loves the bard songs (even the bawdy ones!) and the title and the stories, but he just loves being someone brave and worthy and able to help. He loves being a hero!
And to add on to that, its definitely a coping mechanism for him. Perhaps a bit of a messed-up one, but hey, its working.
Which is why the body modification by Mizora seems doubly painful- it doesn't matter that Wyll got them for noble reasons, what the horns do- (and what Wyll knows they do, because he's not an idiot and he understands the common people better than probably anyone else)- is send that whole dream crashing to the ground. He's immediately marked as other. Florrick almost completely passes over him. The tiefling refugees shrink around him. The guards at the doors of his own city don't recognize him. I think Wyll could absolutely win the people's hearts back, he's Wyll Ravengard, of course he could! But in the short term, by gods that's got to hurt.
This is at least the second time in his life he's lost everything in one fell swoop. No wonder he's miserable at the tiefling party- I would be too! It's a testament to his frankly astonishing emotional fortitude that he's barely even moping.
#I love him so much#Resilience King of all time#how he is not in shambles constantly is miraculous to me#In recent news: the most kind cheery man you've ever met is living in absolute hell#i don't think you understand i love him so much#this is in reply to all the posts about him at the tiefling party#it is the year 2024 and i still must suffer them#*from the heavens. the voice of god* by hey fallen maybe you should stay of off wyll reddit threads then#LISTEN OKAY#anywho he is so silly i cannot even#wyll ravengard#wyll bg3#wyll#the blade of frontiers#mizora mention
