Illinois: Shoot.

North Dakota: Is the S or C in scent silent?

Ohio: Fuck you, I’m going to be thinking about this all day.

Nebraska: Okay well, cent is pronounced the same way as scent so I’m gonna say the S is silent.

Indiana: Okay, but sent is also spelled the same way.

Missouri: Google says that the C was added in the late seventeenth century, so I guess the S is silent.

Wisconsin: Plot twist, both the S and the C are silent and the E actually makes the sss sound.

Minnesota: Wisconsin is not allowed to talk anymore.

Weather Headcanons

Tornados

When a state has a tornado they get a migraine, light headed, a shit ton of bruises all over, and can barely walk.

During the Tri-State tornado Missouri, Illinois, and Indiana physically couldn't move. They were all covered in huge bruises and hurt so bad.

Fires

When a state catches on fire they get a really bad fever and a ton of burn marks.

Cali's are the worst. His fires will get so bad that he can't think straight.

Hurricanes

When a states has a hurricane they usually have a headache, bruises, and get covered in water depending on how big the storm was.

During Hurricane Katrina, Louie had a HORRIBLE migraine and was drenched. He passed out for a few days after and Florida was going insane trying to get him to wake up.

Snow

When a state gets snow they feel cold and are freezing to the touch, and they are really tired.

During blizzards they get so cold that get can barely move.

Earthquakes

If one of the states has an earthquake that will shake and their skin will crack depending how big the earthquake was.

California, Missouri, Kentucky Tennessee, and Illinois have the most scars, their biggest scars are where their faults are.

wttt midwest nickname headcanons bc i'm bored~

Indiana: totally fine being called indy, he thinks its a cute nickname

Wisconsin: likes being called sconnie, any other nickname he finds kind of strange but will not confront you about it

Minnesota: do not call him minnie unless you're indiana or wisconsin. he's not going to say anything directly but he will be very passive-aggressive about it. fine with being called soda(sota), finds other nicknames to be silly but won't say anything about it

Missouri: hated being called misery by the other states. loves any and all other nicknames

Illinois: do not call him illy if you value your organs or are indiana. neutral about ill, and will beat you up if you pronounce the 's' in his name

Ohio: desperately wants to be called O-H, no one will call him this

Michigan: most commonly called mich, all other nicknames are uncommon but he's not really bothered by any of them

Nebraska: has a few nicknames and finds them all to be fun. (nebby, braska, etc) just likes the recognition

Kansas: avid hater of nicknames, probably because he doesn't have any good ones. will correct people if they try to use a nickname

the Dakotas: honestly impressed if you manage to find a nickname that isn't being used by another state. when its just the midwest north and south are acceptable. typically called souda or norda by other states

Iowa: anytime someone tries to give him a nickname he questions their sanity, because his name is only four letters and he finds the obsession with nicknames to be ridiculous

back to thinking about Gov making the regions intermingle, the Midwest and South was somehow the worst and best of all of them. What started off as Country Folk Shenanigans(TM) and a worrying amount of jello and/or cool whip based salads ended with a stand-off to see who was going to be impolite and leave first. They ended up having to send other states in to break it up.

CA/MO/TX/OK go camping

People think CA is going to be a princess about roughing it but he's the one that wants to camp old school

California loves camping!! California loves being out in nature in general I think

He loves to hike, loves to surf, loves to snowboard, like I think he really does a lot of those kinds of things he’s like an excited dog happy to be outside.

And he loves making lists so he put together an essentials list for the other to follow

California ends up picking the campsite for them and in a sense this is the most princess-y he gets because he has all these qualifications for a good site(no lone trees, no mountaintops, away from animal trails, away from nests, preferably level ground). Of course it all is reasonable ideals for a spot but yeah he’s not picky about it
