She addresses most people, including acquaintances and friends, by their last names. (Heelshire, Lenz, Emory, yadeeyadda, etc.) especially when she first meets them, or they are significant people for her mother, so she has to offer them absolute respect.

Speaking of that, she knows a number of violinists and pianists from numerous competitions; she can still recall some of them, particularly the tall, short, browned-haired one who has gained fame with their height.

she loves summer themes stuff, whether it would be clothes, tasty foods of that flavor, the season itself she loves it, summer brings all of the nostalgia she missed back then return.

she goes to the beach with Asa and Jesse alot, and she has earned really strong tan lines over her body

while it was said she uses last names for aqquintences, she yet teases the two myer's with nicknames, she first reffered to them as micheal and mickey, but after some looks and first impressions she decided to have some fun with micheals anger issues

she began wearing more clothes that shes ACTUALLY comfortable in like band shirts baggier clothes not some neck suffocating turtle neck and some short ass skirt

her likes are street food, hanging out with her trusted friends, practicing guitar, and playing 2000's flash games

she has a stream channel where she plays some time on weekends she uses the money to donate to charities

Her greatest annoyances are crowded areas, rude people, unappreciative people in general, and people who either side eye or tease them (until death), as well as vegetables, tomato soup, anything that reminds her of past thats not quite nostalgic.

when she began playing in the band she had never expected to be treated the same by asa and jesse as a former band member beacuse she assumed she would be trated the same as she was treated in her old job, which wasnt really pleasant

she needs ressurements for the smallest things, what she rarely asks from asa and jesse. especially in early days of her join

she finally got to express herself amoungst the crowd that loves for her, for her. and the music they play kick ass. its good to not listen to beethoven on a daily basis and then learn it on piano

𝐋𝐎𝐎𝐏 195 - EP.04

The alarm clock went off at 2:30, and you quickly got out of bed, turned off the other alarms scattered around the room before they went off, made your bed, and finally started your daily routine. You went to the basement; your house had two basements, one that was obviously the most typical, under the stairs, and the other hidden between the shelves. Going down into the basement, you pulled the old shelf before pushing the stone wall and finally entering. You pulled the shelf to hide it before closing the stone wall with the handle it had. There, in the dark, you pulled the cord, revealing a simple light. You quickly went to the treadmill in front of the setup and started running in your gym clothes. You turned on the computer and put on your headphones, listening to the news and reviews.

Once you finished running, you got off the treadmill, stored it in the corner again, and sat in the setup chair. You looked around and surfed the internet. You had your own way of making money, and that was through the internet. You were a vtuber and a Vocaloid composer. Your vtuber persona was cute, and when streaming, you used a voice modifier. And although everything was a lie, it brought in money.

As for the music, it came from the letters you wrote. You wrote letters about your feelings, what you hated, and in them, you used robots to sing. You wanted to avoid being discovered at all costs, and though it was hard work, it made good money. Once you turned off the computer, you grabbed the paper from your notes and went to the cabinet nearby. You opened it to reveal the great wall of discovery, each red line marking something, but that wasn’t what you wanted to see. You crouched down and grabbed the box, opening it and placing the letter with your frustrations inside. Once you closed the cabinet, you locked it with the key around your neck and finally left. Since it was still very early, you went to take a shower, brushing your teeth at the same time. You timed every second, it was routine.

With your dirty clothes already in the wash, you took the opportunity to clean the house. Your parents worked hard and had heavy sleep, so cleaning quietly was perfect. With the house tidied up, you saw that it was already 5:00, and finally, after waking up, you decided to eat. Keeping your weight was ideal, so once everything was done, you went for breakfast, making coffee and food for your family. Obviously, you ate first, and once you heard the steps and grumbling of your parents coming down to the kitchen, you had already set everything up. Your father’s strong black coffee and your mother’s weak coffee accompanied the food of the day. Once your parents came down, you greeted them with the first word of the day.

“I’m going to the library today; I want to go back to school already smart,” you said while grabbing your backpack, making your mother smile with pride while your father also smiled. It was clear it was a lie; you weren’t going to the library, but they didn’t need to know.

“Do you want a ride?” your father asked as he finished his cup, and you smiled while shaking your head.

“No, thanks, I want to walk to exercise!” you said, and your parents agreed. With that, you left the house with a smile and walked through the streets until you finally disappeared from your neighborhood and finally wore a neutral face. As you approached the street, you went to an alley behind the alley where the teleporter was. You opened your backpack and put on the black glasses, checking if the black veil was in your bag. According to the previous lines, it was today that you and your team would fight against that robot. You put on your disguise to remove any trace of your civilian identity—nothing heroic, something casual, but still hidden. Once you were ready, you left the alley and went toward the alley with the teleporter.

Once inside, you were greeted by Megan, whom you only gave a silent nod to, not noticing the slightly sad expression on the alien girl’s face. You passed by Superboy without even saying hi, and then you made your way to Kaldur, who was texting Red Tornado. Hours passed, and Wally and Robin arrived, already running excitedly. Everyone was gathered, though you were standing a bit further off, leaning against the wall behind the group, observing. You felt the furry paws of the animal climbing onto your shoulder. It was obvious it had teleported. It looked at the group with you.

“Having fun?” it asked in a low tone, in a language you knew. You just sighed.

“I want this to end soon,” you responded in the same language, watching as the group now ran to see Red Tornado approaching. You didn’t follow, you already knew what he would say, so you took the opportunity to pass by, with the animal on your shoulder.

You smelled something burning and went to the kitchen. You grabbed your watch and watched the minutes pass. As soon as you heard footsteps, Megan came flying while opening the oven with her telekinesis. She placed the burned goods on the counter, and everyone gathered to look while you were still there, putting your watch away.

“I tried making Grandma Jones' recipe from episode 17, but never mind.”

“That’s what happens when you copy recipes from shows,” you said, looking around, not at the others.

“You were here (hero), why didn’t you turn off the oven?” Robin asked, turning to you.

“First, they were already burned when I arrived. Secondly, it’s not my responsibility; incompetence is her irresponsibility, not mine,” you said, adjusting your glasses, looking at the group, with Megan now looking guilty.

“Well, he didn’t mind,” Robin said, looking at Megan while pointing to Wally, who was eating the burned cookies.

“Hmm, I have a strange metabolism.”

“Can I... make more?” Megan asked uncertainly, only to hear you mutter, “So you can burn them again?” You mocked in a low voice, before petting the animal still on your shoulder.

“That was kind of you to make these cookies,” Kaldur said, looking at Megan, with you getting closer to the group but keeping your distance.

“Thank you, Aqualad,” Megan said before he interrupted.

“We’re not on duty, call me Kaldur’ahm, actually, friends call me Kaldur.”

Wally observed the situation before swallowing the cookies and speaking flirtatiously.

“I’m Wally, see, I’ve already entrusted my secret identity to you, unlike my colleague with sunglasses,” said the redhead, pointing at Robin.

“Batman forbade the prodigy boy from revealing his real name.”

“Hahhaha, but you forgot I’m not the only one, there’s (hero) too!” Robin said while pointing at you, arms crossed, looking at the group, with your sunglasses hiding your bored eyes.

“Yes, true, although I can’t complain because this adds an air of mystery and charm,” Wally said, throwing his arm around you and getting closer, only to receive an elbow and have his arm removed with a disgusted expression.

“Don’t touch me,” you said, already pulling away.

“Mine isn’t a secret, it’s M'gann M'orzz, it’s an Earth name, and I’m on Earth now,” Megan said, speaking cheerfully, watching as Superboy looked at you, who was leaving. He started to follow you but was interrupted.

“I hope I can be your friend (hero).”

You held the door, and the other held your head.

“GET OUT, DAMN IT!” You shouted before hearing Megan’s voice again in your head.

“What’s wrong? I don’t understand,” she said.

You clenched your fists in anger, nails pressing against the wall.

“I... said stop...” you said in a low tone.

“Everybody on Mars communicates telepathically, I just wanted—”

The voice stopped when you screamed.

“I SAID TO STOP, DAMN IT!” You shouted while grabbing the knife next to you on the counter beside the door and throwing it, making it lodge in the wall behind Megan. The girl stopped, startled, looking at you.

“We’re not in the damn Mars, we’re in fucking EARTH!” The others also looked as you stared at her with pure hatred.

“Do it again, enter my fucking mind again, and I will kill you, heard me, bitch?!” you said quietly, with Kaldur turning to look at the cookie shapes, now trembling slightly, and the lights flickering, almost nothing. You sighed as you turned, hitting the door frame with your head, sighing.

“I...” Megan looked at you from a distance before Kaldur said, “Things are different on Earth; here, your powers are extremely invasive.”

Wally leaned forward with his hand over his mouth, speaking quietly.

“And, of course, invading privacy is something you should avoid with (hero). She’s hot-headed, better not make her angry.”

Megan looked at you, who was at the door, and felt a wave of guilt. She murmured, “I... didn’t mean to.”

“S.T.A.Y.A.W.A.Y" you said, sighing without even looking at the girl. Although you had come back so far in time, and had gone through telepathy, you didn’t return to the habit, and now it felt like several knives were being driven into your head. Normally, she did that with Superboy and the boys, not with you, and you hated that. You hated that she did this to you, caught you by surprise, invaded your mind.

You left the kitchen, holding your head, staying by the couch, looking at the wall, fists clenched.

“Hello, Megan! I know what to do!” She said cheerfully while tapping her head and floating away, with the group following her. Robin stopped to look at you. He thought of going to see Megan approaching again when he was about to speak to you. Robin pulled her hand and waved in denial. He then came closer to you.

“(Hero)... shall we go?”

“GET OUT...” you said strongly, with hate in your tone, while rubbing your head. Robin raised his hand to touch you but looked at the animal on your shoulder and withdrew his hand. He wanted to avoid making you angrier.

“Please...?” He pleaded, waiting a few minutes, before hearing a sigh. Then you turned, he smiled, and left while you followed him from a distance.

There are rare times when Yone will openly let his voice whisper quiet melodies. These instances were as follows: in the shower, in his car, when the intro to his favorite anime started to play, and whenever he was preparing sushi for dinner.

In these rare instances, you would listen... Quietly admiring his voice from a distance. But even then, Yone was always well aware of his surroundings and would immediately stop once he sensed your presence.

His cheeks would mortify into a blushed red, his ears an even deeper shade. Yone would always turn his head away, eyes never meeting yours. His hair would cover his cheeks, but even then, it was never enough to hide the color.

You knew he felt like singing around you was embarrassing, and you would quietly tease him because of it! Nevertheless, you would immediately reassure him that he could sing around you. That it wasn't embarrassing. And that you loved his voice.

It would take time for Yone to warm up to you... But his confidence would eventually grow. He just needed time to open up to you. Give it more time before he allowed you to hear what he was made of- To show you the side of him he never revealed to his own bandmates.

Yone was bashful when he started singing around you, always leaving one earbud off, or a side of his headphones, music lowered just enough to hear himself. He tried his hardest to ensure he sounded pleasant... That he wasn't making a fool of himself in front of you. Still, Yone would stop if he felt he was getting too invested in his flow.

But it doesn't take long for Yone to warm up to you. He would begin to hum more frequently, and you sometimes recognized the tune of a Vocaloid song or two... But you would never say anything~

And soon, those quiet hums transformed into Yone lulling you off to sleep with his own voice, singing unfamiliar songs to you. Songs that his mother would vocalize to him before bed.

His arms would wrap around you, cradling you in his warm embrace. His hair tickled your skin, but you found comfort in it. With every song he sang, you could feel the buzzing of his warm hymns, permitting you to bury your cheek against his exposed skin.

And in the early mornings, Yone would always sit side-by-side with you in the studio, quietly harmonizing with you before any of the other members arrived.

Your foreheads would bump against one another, voices intertwined like a gentle kiss. Slowly, Yone would lean in and connect your lips with his. His hands never knew where to go, so he would place one underneath your chin, holding himself up with his opposite hand.

While nobody would be cheering for an encore as soon as he pulled away, you can tell by the look in his eyes that he just wanted... more.

yesterday my friend suggested that a crossover between the ye olde vocaloid song black vow alluring secret and likodot made a lot of sense but they weren’t sure how to articulate why and i had never thought about it prior to them bringing it up but it absolutely brain blasted me and after listening to both black vow and white vow again since it’s been a while i wrote a bunch on discord about it

“im still listening to white vow but i See it i see it so much. im trying to figure out how to word things but this might come out poorly LOL IM TRYING

miku meeting rin (as an angel) for the first time is described in black vow as rin being like lost and aimless or whatever and miku's smile and eyes immediately make her fall in love and this is similar in feeling to the jumping point of liko and dot's connection being formed because of liko's friendliness and patience and optimism and etc

dot is a really androgynous character and the idea of her, in this situation, literally changing bodies/swapping genders to be with liko is incredibly believable and within the range of her gender expression

miku has a marriage with some guy who she doesn't actually love (that's when "len" shows up) and it's really giving old timey arranged marriage vibes and i don't know how to articulate this point but the imagery in the mv i could immediately overlay like Amethio on top of that and imagine family drama in that sense

and generally the idea that liko and dot have saved each other's lives and push and pull for each other so often, the general emotional intimacy of their bond and the amount they reach out to each other, when dramaticized Really matches the vibes of this song with rin literally committing essentially angel suicide to be with miku, while on the other hand miku in white vow is tormented by not being able to remember and constantly searching... like they'd look for each other to the ends of the earth. likodot core actually

only thing i dont feel comfortable matching up in particular is Kaito in black vow who the fuck. i guess it being spinel would be interesting, like he's angry about the loss of control over dot, or something

Emo RD Rambles 3: Patient Playlist

Welcome back to Emo Cannot Write For Shit So You All Get His Rambles. With an additional thing at the end winkwink. This is really really long so let's get cracking.

Today's concept: Ian and Ada approach the idea of creating a Patient Radio - a playlist made of the long term patient's favourites songs to 'maximise comfort'.

As a beta for the Radio, they leave a sheet of paper in the connecting hallway for patients to list suggestions of their preferred music, around three or four songs maximum. Some already have ideas in mind, while others struggle.

This is just a silly idea I had when wondering what type of music the main RD cast listens to; excluding the songs they're actually involved in. This also created some funny writing prompts that I may use for a small comedic anthology. For example:

Hailey is the first person to write anything down: and she's pretty basic (sorry). Her style is very mainstream, involving those pop songs you'd hear on the radio. From there, a few folks follow, with varying genres and tastes. The next day, however, more folks have added some ideas, including Logan. You can tell Logan has visited - because there is now a messy heart drawn next to Hailey's suggestions.

Also, Logan suggests similar stuff to Hailey, with the addition of maybe an anime opening or two.

Cole... suggests his own music. For the sake of both his ego, and the declining state of the patients, he's given a stern 'no'. Of course, it's Cole, so he angrily scribbles out his suggestions and leaves the paper be. He's surprised when 'Unreachable' comes on via the Patient Radio - and, sure enough, someone's written it down past his scribbling. More specifically, Samurai. He even signed it! (By that, I mean the writing is just "Unreachable- Cole Brew (SAMURAI)". All of Samurai's suggestions are signed this way.)

Insomniac writes down only one suggestion: a traditional Japanese folk song (or 'hōgaku'). This would be fine - if he wrote the song's title in Romaji. Instead, the song is written in pure, specific kanji characters.

Ada returns to Ian come the night with a new version of the paper: "Hey, so, uh- I got the paper back today and there's some new stuff from the swordsmen. Any idea what this is?" Ian turns, "Hah?" before seeing the kanji. There's a slight pause before he just casually goes, "Oh! This is (insert Japanese title here)! That's easy, I'll type it up." Ada learns that Ian learnt how to read kanji entirely just for the songs he listens to that are in Japanese.

Oh yeah: the moment this song plays on the radio, the Insomniac falls asleep. Hell, he sleeps like a baby. Unfortunately, they can't play it on loop, but now they know he appreciates a lil' lullaby.

Speaking of Ian and Ada, they decide to add some of their own songs to the mix (Ian mostly - he felt it was a little unfair that the patients get to listen to banger tunes). Ian adds quite a variety, but we cannot ignore the fact he adds maybe one or two vocaloid songs.

Ada, unfortunately, is a little embarrassed of her status as a former theatre kid, still musical lover. She, instead, uses a few common songs from the radio to add to the list. Ian convinces her, after a little while, to add a really popular song from her favourite musical. I do not know what musical this is.

There's a surprising amount of patients that add jazz to the radio, or at least music from the 1950 to 1980's era. For one, the Stevensons' accidentally add the same song to the list twice, given Mr. Stevenson can't read his wife's handwriting that well anymore (I'll elaborate on why later). This also just so happens to be a song that played in their wedding. They have a ball dancing to it.

Additionally, the Miner also includes a bit of Rock 'n' Roll or otherwise jazz into his suggestions. They're very old for the 30-something nut, but it adds up. He also, thanks to Cole, includes a little chiptune.

Hugh somehow adds the tutorial theme. You know, the tutorial song from Rhythm Doctor. Nobody recognises the title, or the artist, but everyone in the ward has a mutual moment of "I swear I've heard this before". Hugh doesn't comment.

There's a slight cultural shift once Insomniac includes his traditional tune. It's not the only Non-English hit, and Ian/Logan do add a couple of Japanese songs to the pile.

In Nicole's case, she ends up not sure what to suggest, but still wanting to take part. So, she ends up adding a Chinese pop song, quote: "I don't know any Chinese myself, but my mom would put this on a lot, and I didn't have anything else that'd be good for a hospital radio."

Lucky adds two jazz, and a rock song to the radio. The biggest issue is that he originally aimed to add a Spanish song from his childhood, but got caught in his own head, scribbling it out halfway. The good thing? Miner is able to read bits and pieces, writing what he could make out - angering Lucky into writing the full title. He jumps when it plays on the radio days later.

I believe that's everything I had listed. Thanks to RDL for allowing me to compile all of my thoughts before adding them here, as these are now far more conjoined.

• She's a pretty quiet and timid girl, she doesn't have many friends, and she's usually seen alone with her iPod and headphones in (listening to Vocaloid songs i just know i am the writer here i make the decisions)

• Some girls are definitely envious of her beauty, like she is PRETTY pretty. I wonder what hair products she uses...knowing her though, it'd be silly if she just had naturally flowy, beautiful hair.

• Probably has been asked out by boys several times, she's really cute and has an adorable personality, it's pretty inevitable. She never understands why they like her so much though.

• Always randomly zoning off in the middle of class, looking out the window. Her few friends are a bit concerned but are aware of her lost in the clouds type attitude.

• Forgets to do her homework a lot. Her grades and performance are very good, and that's a definite, but she's just incredibly forgetful. She just gets home and doesn't remember if she has anything to do. She just immediately turns on some anime or pulls out some Shonen Jump when she gets home.

• These hc's are just...my normal hc's for her. Curses. Whatever, it still applies here, DO NOT DEFY ME

• Really reserved and quiet, most of the class is really intimidated by him. Just the way he talks and looks at you with a death glare. It freaks everyone out.

• He's kind of a target for bullying because of how to himself and a bit scary he is, but he doesn't care and doesn't plan to do anything about it. They're always too daunted to insult him to his face. Jack focuses his time on getting stronger, not some losers making fun of him.

• Often scolded for never doing or turning in his work. He just feels he has better things to do. When he does do his work though, he's not exactly the best. His worksheets are surprisingly (or perhaps, unsurprisingly) filled with scribbles and rough little doodles.

• He doesn't really have many "friends", but one immune to his flaws is Kureha. He acts as if Jack is a friend he's known for ages, despite them only meeting during the current school year. He tends to hang out with him and help him out with his homework as well, because lets be real, Jack's grades are not looking too hot.

• The whole class thinks it's strange how out of everyone in the class, those two are the ones who are closest.

• Kureha definitely insists he do some small science experiments on Jack, Jack only complying if it leads to the growth of him getting stronger. It's like a mad scientist and his test subject, except two 12 year olds.

Katsumi

• He's a really popular student. He's attractive (in middle school standards), strong, leader of his own karate club and his dad's the principal of the school. He's almost always surrounded by people wanting to talk or hang out with him.

• Many girls have huge crushes on him, he usually has to let them down though. He's really focused on his karate and fighting and just doesn't particularly want any kind of lover. He's much more interested in running his club than young love. He values friendship more than anything.

• Always urging strong kids to join the karate club. He wants to expand his club as far as possible and spar with anyone worthy. He focuses so much on his club and karate his grades unfortunately suffer. You can't blame him though, everyone in the karate club is really close with each other and it's really endearing how its almost like a big family of middle schoolers in there.

• He's a really smart kid, and is able to excel in a lot of subjects, but he gets the most significant grades in PE class specifically.

• Hangs out with Hector quite a bit, they are almost polar opposites of each other, but hang out anyway. They're always seen doing homework or eating lunch together. He's one of Hector's only friends.

• Also really looks up to Kiyosumi, he thinks his strength and confidence is super admirable. Currently in the middle of trying to get him to join the karate club. He's somewhat becoming more of a delinquent because of how much Kiyosumi is rubbing off on him.

Kiyosumi

• He's 100% a delinquent who chills at the back of the school and likes to skip his classes. He's well liked by his delinquent disciples who think his fighting is radical.

• He has been suspended multiple times for starting fights and beating up kids for looking at him wrong. He wants any excuse to hurt someone or show off his fighting.

• He's avoided by normal kids in the school but swarmed by other delinquents and juveniles. He's a super cool figure for them. He's just popular enough for Katsumi to take notice.

• Despite the fact there are always students who praise him, he's a very lonely kid. He acknowledges the fact that the people who swarm him don't care about him as a person at all, they just like the idea of a leader with cool fighting abilities. As much as they make his ego swell, they wont be able to purge his hatred for others or even aid his loneliness. No matter how much euphoria will course through his veins and throughout his mind after defeating somebody, that empty feeling will always come barreling back in the end. He would never let anyone know that though. Never.

• That got deep. Wait till you guys find out that was also just a general headcanon for him. Anyway, Kiyosumi fucking LOVES workshop class. He will not skip that shit. This kid has a passion for cars and motorcycles (go figure)

• Katsumi decided to duel with Kiyosumi behind the school, but ended up getting his shit rocked and went flying into some garbage cans. Kiyosumi, (trying to be cool) hits him with a "Beat it, kid." but Katsumi stood up and immediately ushered him to join the karate club after falling victim to his strength.

• Surprisingly, Kiyosumi's grades aren't all that bad. His downfall is just that he always skips or doesn't do his work at all even though he's strangely intelligent (to an extent, of course)

Retsu

• He's a really quiet kid who's undoubtedly diligent at his work. He doesn't know many people besides Katsumi and a few others.

• You can easily find him in the back of the class studying or reading a book. People look up to how smart he is, he's top of his class. Although he does tend to burn himself out a bit.

• Really passionate in cooking class, he loves making some Chinese dishes with the few ingredients he's provided. Tends to ignore teacher directions so he can make what he wants to.

• A member of the karate club (by Katsumi's request) even though he uses a whole different fighting style. After Katsumi sparred with Retsu and lost, they've been friends and have been training together ever since.

• It's quite shocking to other students how this quiet kid who is usually just reading in the back of the class is such a strong and confident fighter. I imagine many kids watched the fight between Katsumi and him, and he's gained unwanted notoriety for his win. He tried to keep his fighting life on the down low and focus on grades.

• He definitely gets rebellious and immature sometimes, don't get me wrong. Katsumi had him open up a little, and now he's more free with his fighting (even though real battles aren't allowed on school grounds) He isn't afraid to spar with someone if they initiate it, school grounds or not. This kid just really wants to kick some tail.

Hector

• Quite the mysterious kid, usually just sitting and watching the view from outside the classroom windows with a blank expression. He's not at all unfamiliar with others talking behind his back or bullying him.

• Stays quiet when he's bullied in somewhere public but if he's ever assaulted alone or off of school grounds, that bully will probably be found with some pretty gnarly knife wounds.

• He doesn't seem to be interested in many things, or even passionate in his grades at all. It's almost like he's there because he has to be.

• He's always showing up to school with nicks or bruises. It's not entirely clear how he gets them or why they appear so frequently, but they certainly don't go unnoticed by others. They don't seem to bother him very much though.

• What I can say for certain though is that this kid is pretty fucking disturbed. Brought a pocket knife to school and shanked someone pretty badly. He was suspended soon after and rumors started to multiply and spread across the playground.

• Tends to run into Retsu by accident and gets partner assignments with him by pure chance. It was extremely awkward the first few times but they both realized they probably need to get used to each others company. They've surprisingly gotten close, Retsu wanting to understand the mystery behind Hector and why he's alone all of the time. Although some of Retsu's prying or questions make Hector a bit nervous. (definitely some home issues going on)

• He also likes being around Katsumi as well. Though, "like" is a strong word, for him at least. Like Retsu, Katsumi also wants to understand Hector. He thinks he's just misunderstood and makes an effort to talk to him even if some of their views on things are vastly different.

Kosho

• Trademark emo/edgy nervous kid who keeps to himself. He's a little bit of a crybaby, frankly.

• He really likes to draw, you may be able to catch him doodling some cool vkei clothing designs in his notebook. He's pretty embarrassed about them though, he always covers the pages when he thinks someones looking.

• Throughout all of his seemingly timid nature, its clear that some deep issues and hate are slowly brewing inside of him. The overshadowing from his brother and the teasing over his interests are not helping him in that regard either.

• Sometimes gets into small altercations with kids who like to poke fun at him. Kosho really struggles to stand up for himself but whenever he happens to find the courage to, his brother is always a step ahead and ready to protect him. After he deals with that, he proceeds to lecture Kosho about getting into fights and how he should go study for his math quiz next week.

• As much as Kosho loves his brother he wishes he would just...leave him alone sometimes.

• Was able to make friends with Katsumi due to their liking of karate and Katsumi's overall kindness after seeing Kosho sitting alone all of the time. The two have gotten pretty close.

I just remembered that I spent a long while ruminating on & writing down the music tastes of my mental versions of Abby, Sam, Seb, Haley and Alex (like, heavilyyyy based on the way I characterise them in the fic, so if you disagree with me - Valid). So here it is, if you’re interested! I wrote it initially for the Q&A but then realised it was wayyy too rambly and non-important LMAO

Abby: Mostly Riotgrrl, punk rock and Kpop. She’s a huge kpop fan, but keeps the secret on LOCK. Artists include:

- Mannequin Pussy, Le Tigre, Hole, Bikini Kill, Bratmobile, BTS, Stray Kids, ITZY, Blackpink, Olivia Rodrigo, Grimes. Mayyybe also some Vocaloid, because she’s a nerd like that (all respect for the vocaloid listeners in the audience, though! I like it too!).

Sam: He’s somewhere between ‘stuck in his emo phase’, and ‘skateboarding stoner loser’. Artists include:

- Gorillaz, MF DOOM, Tyler the Creator, My Chemical Romance, Twenty One Pilots, Tame Impala, The Garden, Limp Bizkit, Neck Deep, A Tribe Called Quest.

Seb: I don’t have any specific artists for Seb, because I’m not really sure! He’s a bit of a musical elitist and makes fun of Sam for his music taste, but when he works, he listens to the most abhorrent shit imaginable. Think, like, dubstep. Generally, though, it’s hard rock, metal, etc. Random bands that no one’s ever heard of, that have 256 monthly Spotify listeners. He pretends that he’s over his emo phase, but listens to Black Veil Brides on the down-low.

Haley: She listens to fun, upbeat, ‘girly’ pop music. She loves it. Think Sabrina Carpenter, Chappell Roan, Remi Wolf. Her and Abby bicker about music all the time. I’d like to emphasise, though, that Haley is NOT a swiftie. That part is important to me. Her music taste is gayer than that, in a way I can’t quite explain.

Alex: Now. Alex is kind of hard for me to place. I think it’s because, in my mind, he’s super gay and super nerdy. However, I can’t imagine him having a gay, nerdy music taste. It’s similar to Sam’s, but in a different way. Just hear me out, okay? We’re gonna need multiple bullet points for this one. Artists include:

- Kendrick Lamar, more specifically the ‘DAMN’ album. Yes, he’s on Kendrick’s side in the Kendrick v Drake beef.

- Tyler the Creator, but exclusively the post-Cherry Bomb albums. ‘IGOR’ quite literally changed his life and it’s his favourite album of all time.

- I associate him quite heavily with the album ‘Strange Desire’ by Bleachers, but I’m not sure he actually listens to it.

- MF DOOM - absolutely Madvillainy and Operation: Doomsday.

- Little Simz, perhaps? I’m not sure. I think he’d like the album ‘Sometimes I Might Be Introvert’.

- Pre- accepting himself as queer, he watched the music video for ‘Industry Baby’ by Lil Nas X, and considered throwing himself into the mountain lake.

Hello, this is very random ask about your KomaEiki fanfics!

I’ve been reading your KomaEiki fanfic for about 3-4 years and I love every single one of them! I think my favorites out of all of them include Sleeping Beauty, Reflections of Higanbana, Glass Mirror and Nothing Says Romance Like Holding Back a Scolding.

I do have one question though, is Reflections of Higanbana sort of a “happy ending fix it fanfic” to Glass Mirror? I’m not sure if this was your intention when it came to writing Reflections of Higanbana but when I first read the fanfic I couldn’t help but think this due to the fact Eiki and Komachi were able to figure how they would handle their romantic relationship while also their work relationship at the same time while in Glass Mirror this wasn’t the case and Eiki basically couldn’t even tell Komachi she loved her due to work rules. I don’t know, I always felt like the two fanfics were connected somehow and that somehow the events of Reflections of Higanbana were the key to fixing the unrequited love story shown in Glass Mirror. The names for both of the fanfics also seem connected since mirrors reflect what is shown within them. I might be looking into things a bit too much but I wanted to see your perspective of things as the author of those fanfics.

Also very unrelated but thanks to those specific fanfics I couldn’t stop listening to the song Romeo and Cinderella by Doriko (this is a Vocaloid song) and it’s one of my favorite Vocaloid songs now. I would totally recommend listening to it if you are interested. Maybe the whole tragedy and happy ending thing got to my head a bit when reading those two fanfics…..

Back on topic though, do you have any plans to write a hurt/comfort KomaEiki fanfic by any chance? I’ve notice there really isn’t any out there and it would be really interesting to see your spin on things with this specific fanfiction trope.

Hi! This was a really fun ask to receive! Sorry it took me a while to reply: I wanted to think my answer through since your question was so thoughtful.

First of all, thank you so much for your kind words! I'm so glad you like the fics! KomaEiki feels like a pretty niche ship these days, so I'm always super delighted to find other people who enjoy it.

The short answer is yes, Reflections of Higanbana is a fix-it for Glass Mirror (and the names are indeed intentionally connected). I didn't deliberately reference anything from the older fic besides the title in the newer one, but the intention was definitely there.

The long answer is a bit more complicated. Before Glass Mirror, I wrote a LOT of KomaEiki that I never finished and which thus never saw the light of day, trying really hard to make fetch the ship happen. I was still new to writing as well as lacking in life experience, and combined with my then present neuroses about adhering to canon I just couldn't get it to work in a way that satisfied me. Ultimately I wrote Glass Mirror as the closest thing to KomaEiki I could at the time and basically gave up on writing romance fics altogether for years afterwards.

The basic structure of Reflections of Higanbana actually comes from one of those unfinished fics: it was a short fic dominated by dialogue, similarly taking place over the centuries but with an ending very similar to Glass Mirror. Weirdly enough I couldn't actually find it when I went looking for it in preparation for writing Reflections, but I swear it existed. 😂

Before Reflections, I'd finally gotten back to writing pure shipfic and realising how much I loved it. At the beginning I deliberately only wrote fluffy established relationship KomaEiki to avoid the issues that stymied baby!Mimic's KomaEiki attempts, but then I decided it was time to give a more serious fic another try and write what I'd so desperately tried to write back in the day. At that point, I'd grown up enough to realise that, you know, the characters could in fact have an adult conversation about their relationship and thus sort things out (and also by then canon had revealed that the administration of Hell is messy lmao), and so I finally managed to write the fic little me wanted to read.

I'm certainly open to the idea of h/c KomaEiki, but unfortunately I can't promise anything: I've been in a pretty serious creative lurch for a long while now and haven't really had any new fic ideas all year. The most I can say is that one of the fics I'm currently horribly stalled on might have some KomaEiki in it. Anyway, I'll do my best to get out of this mire and start writing again.

Do you have any favorite Vocaloid songs and/or songs that influenced the characterizations in your fics? I know for Space Shanty you included a song list, so I was curious if any of your other works have similarly musical inspirations.

Oh that's an excellent question and I'm really afraid I only have disappointing answers. Mostly because, for a large part, I just don't remember! Which is a bit of a bummer. I only documented Space Shanty so well because the songs actually feature in-universe of the story so I wanted to make sure I knew what song I was writing/had written (as writing the whole thing took a long time). I listened to them as I wrote the relevant scenes, too.

As for anything else...?

What I do remember is for Space Shanty's epilogue/separate chapter, I was very inspired by the mood I felt in Jaymes Young's Dark Star (especially the Kiely Rich remix), and used it to influence Miku's characterization, too.

Otherwise, most of my fics simply don't have very much musical inspiration, at least not directly. I listened to TONS of wowaka back in the day though, and other classics from DECO*27, Giga, but also newer works from Kira, some pieces from CircusP, and by god EZFG is so good, and that might have tinged my earlier works with specific flavors. And that's just vocaloid stuff. Non-vocaloid is more metal-oriented (power metal my beloved) but interestingly, despite how much I love music, I don't think many of my fics are heavily influenced by music in their creation or writing. Sometimes I pick a piece to truly get into a mindset, though, so it does go the other way. I know that Empty Eyes by Within Temptation is a good one for those really angsty moments and I come back to it often.

All that to say, other things apparently inspire my stories more than specific songs do. Prompts work well, snippets from my life too, and so on. Not to say that music plays no part: before I write, I daydream like mad and for that I listen to anything and everything (the soundtrack for Portal 2 is particurlarly good for daydreaming), and that's mostly how I get my stories figured out. Plus, it goes without saying, but listening to music while writing is a must. I make some playlists for some works or scene types to maintain a feeling or to get back in the game. But if a specific song has ever inspired a specific fic, I can't remember anymore.

Hellooooooooo! I was able to make the concept design for the main character in Social-lighting! a while back out of boredom :] Now here's just some description I copy pasted from my notes

This character's name is Soop! they're a kid who is anti-social and a bit insensitive but they're genuinely a good person (Well hopefully I wrote them that way)

They were sent to a summer camp to get used to cooperating with others and be more willing and open to talk to other people rather than avoiding people all the time

the game they're part of is called Social-lighting! (because haha puns) and in the game, their main goal is to become friends with someone in the summer camp they're in

-also this was mainly a joke headcanon I made, but I like to think Soop owns a Mouth cloud plush because why not- Gender: Nonbinary (Player's choice)

According to Wikipedia, Bougainvillea is a genus of thorny ornamental vines, bushes, and trees with spiky thorns (thorny branches with heart shaped leaves), which is why there's blood dripping down the hand of the character in the song illustration.

The sap of Bougainvillea is seriously toxic. It's stated to cause serious skin rashes.

Pre-Chorus

In my KuroEne AU, Kuroha/Saeru and Ene play the game of being intimate with each other.

It'd be nice to switch between them in their usual canon outfits, and Formal dress outfits by Sayuki, throughout the MV.

Metaphorically, in the snake's den (territory of the snake), Kuroha sets the stage for a new game, by making preparations beforehand prior to their first meeting.

Maybe have a shot of him working on building Ene's android body in his lab? Even if he doesn't need them, it'd be cute if he has glasses or a long white scientist coat tbh

Thrilled as always, Kuroha comes to meet Ene and proposes his little invention to her. Ene uses the android body he made to move around in the real world.

After adhering to Ene's wishes to not involve any bystanders in their game, Kuroha takes Ene with him to live in an abandoned building or some real estate, (as long as it's a secluded place, away from other people)

For the time being, a secluded room separate from the outside world.

Before I checked the lyrics, I initially thought the “Oh yeah yeah yeah yeah” was You (x4) when I listened to the song, so I imagined flashing shots of Haruka, Konoha, and Kuroha.

Anyways, I still think this can work regardless.

“Oh step into the new world”

With the beginning of a new Route is a new cycle, "the rebirth of a new world" in Kuroha/Saeru's eyes. It's time for the two of them (KuroEne) to start their game for the XX-th time. Kuroha takes Ene by the hand, and metaphorically invites Ene to the "dance stage."

Takane/Ene calls herself a “delicate flower” in MCA and has a Dancer theme with her nickname of “Lightning Dancer Ene.”

Note: Takane's full online gamer name was “Lightning Dancer Ene” or “Dancing Flash Ene” (閃光の舞姫・エネ, Senkou no Maihime - Ene), where Maihime (舞姫) means “Dancer girl.”

For the chorus, I imagined shots of KuroEne's intimacy, and them dancing together like a waltz. They fit ballroom dances so well tbh.

1st Chorus

“Get tangled, coil around me, and make me forget”

The wording/prose fits so well with Kuroha/Saeru being a snake.

Though from an artistic POV, it'd be cool to show a shot where Kuroha is either shown intimate with Ene or is dancing with Ene (who has his snakes coiled around her arm or leg)

“Indeed, it's a pity, but we're lie-lie-liars.”

Kuroha thinks to himself that it sure is a shame that his act of playing nice for the time being, is a beautiful lie/farce.

”The blood flows sloppily, but you give me the impression of wanting to touch it.”

I imagined a shot of KuroEne's intimacy with Kuroha holding Ene's hand while he kisses her. Then I'd have a composition where blood is dripping down from the ceiling, as a metaphor to Kuroha/Saeru's plans to kill the Mekakushi Dan.

2nd Chorus

“Shriek, struggle, and just lose your head.”

I thought of it as like... Either them falling into their game (of intimacy) even more, or like, Ene finding out about his true intentions and being confronted with his true nature.

“Our love is increasing. Looks like there's something wrong with us.”

Kuroha is amused that Ene chooses to fall further into the abyss of pleasure with him, that she seeks out his presence and touches more and more, the longer they play their game, the longer this goes on.

They both feel a sense of fulfillment and desire and passion and yearning while playing the game with each other.

“See through me, judge me—I’d rather you cast me away.”

This could be interpreted as Kuroha being able to see through Ene due to his omniscence, or Kuroha telling Ene to see through his facade.

Pre-3rd Chorus

”One petal at a time, I'll meticulously dye you in my colour”

Again, it can be used in the context of their intimacy. Kuroha dyes Ene “in his own colour”

“Dyed in madder red”

(From the song, "Ayano's Theory of Happiness")

Cuz Kuroha possesses such intimate knowledge of his partner due to his knowledge of previous Routes (timelines), he knows all their memories together, and possesses her desires and secrets, etc.

Ig you could interpret this in the sense of possessing someone and/or their soul.

Like the more he keeps doing this with her, the more they keep being intimate together and continuing their games, the more he solidifes his hold on her throughout the Routes (timelines).

Knowing someone THIS intimately and continuing to do this with them after countless (XX) times just becomes proof for his everlasting eternity.

They say the eyes are the window to the soul, so…

3rd Chorus

“We're bending, we're aching, we're withering away.”

“For you, if you would, a dream like an imitation flower indeed.”

Would also fit with the lyrics of the withering flowers → Destruction of the Eyes (Mekakushi Dan), just like Outer Science

Maybe in the last part, I would have Ene reacting to him killing the rest of the Mekakushi Dan... The wide eyed distraught expressions... My poor wife, sniffs... ;__;

He'll be waiting for the beginning of a new Route, and for their game to start again, just as always (just like the last time)

I'm an introverted person and I tend to be very logical but. I think different from a lot of ppl apparently. I've been described, to paraphrase, as "sort of ominous and mysterious but actually funny", "uncanny and unsettling in a good way", and "awkward and weird but its endearing" which just sound like insults. I was a pretty intense synchronized swimmer for like 9 years I competed at like opens and nationals and all that when I was in school but my university doesn't have :( I'm on the rowing team now but I would rather do synchro esp since being my main thing was being flexible and it has no advantages in rowing lmaooo I've been a huge vocaloid fan since elementary school so I've been around in that community for a while (I am so well-adjusted). I like to make vocal synth covers and draw, especially when I'm able to work with producers to provide art for their vids it's so cool hehehehhe I mostly listen to vocaloid music but I like a lot of metal stuff as well that's how I found out abt gonst. I also like 2 play video gamez, I'm so fucking bad at them but I think it's rly funny so I just spend hours giggling and watching myself get mauled over and over.

I love horror a lot but I'm less a slasher girlie and more of a supernatural psychological tormet girlie esp if its got mythology or religions shit involved. Im majoring in history bc all good history ppl like silly metal and I wrote this instead of my abstract that's due in like an hour bc I have no idea what to do for the topic 🥲🥲

They like listening to you talk about your major and interests. He's a very good listener.

While they might not be the best swimmer, they enjoy the activity and if you want to show off, they'll absolutely let you and be super proud.

He doesn't mind how unique your style is. He probably wouldn't really try to match clothes with you, but they'd try their best to buy you stuff you'd enjoy.

Since he doesn't really walk much, they picked up drawing and started doing it with you. They're surprisingly good at it for someone who just randomly said "I'm bored, maybe I should start drawing".

Also, horror movie date nights! They're also much more of a psychological horror person, but his favorite is of course the paranormal (he finds it hilarious) so you two take turns picking the movies.

Video game dates included, too. He's got a PS3 and the first three Uncharted games, as well as some others. Their favorite is Uncharted 3.

He'll insist you wear your glasses. He knows the consequences of ignoring his health. It's not fun.
