Ok ok so just like alright um so yall I just ok alright,,,hear me out... Now I'm honestly debating on posting this simply cuz,,,,idfk I got anxiety n shit even tho.....I should honestly not care anyway not the point.

These guys....as lovers [Mind blown ik] I have so many thoughts...Like I already talked about their relationships with each other but I wanna go into different detail yknow? Like all together, I think these guys do really love each other, they've grown to really care and give a shit since they just have each other [Sorry I will never not mention how they only have each other yall] When I think of them as a whole its just a bundle of platonic dudes happily together <3 Who learn to be close with each other, that rely on that closeness as a source of comfort...God the thoughts...

But, honestly I dont even remember what prompted to put 2 n 2 together but I've thought a lot about Woods + Hackett as well as Dauda + Bishop [Idk if my last gtfo post was kinda telling or the post with just Bishop n Dauda] Anyway those 2 kinda plagued my mind, of course I think of all of them and or the other relationships but I just,,,,kinda wanna talk about that stuff yknow?

Woods n Hackett....gosh theyre so silly to me, I could go into my headcanons n everything another time [cuz some of those hcs hng ideas behind them hi yall] They're....not soft lovers but in their own way they are...Call it enemies to friends to lovers whatever you want I don't think they started off entirely liking each other, Hacketts sarcastic remarks kinda being.....a little jarring considering where they where! However like the rest of them, you grow used to it, expecting it. I believe Hackett was the 1 to really express his feelings n ask, Woods agreeing despite some internal thoughts [Hi] When I think of them, I think of them seeking each other, fighting away isolation. I think of tracing of skin, tenderly with rough calloused hands. I think of hidden kisses, hidden from the others, not out of fear but Woods preferring the privacy when he shows his affection. Theres the hesitation of being more intimate, of whispering those words, its been so long.

Dauda n Bishop are really interesting to me simply because I believe Bishop didn't develop and tried to push away those feelings at first but boy! You ain't leaving any of them for awhile! Better get used to this! No lol but seriously, there was already distrust and general distance he tried to put between himself and the others but after awhile, after all of those rundowns,,,slowly you open up, you lower that wall and let some people in. But someone more intimate like that? Fucking terrifying, big no no, nuhuh nope! He cares, and he will express his care in.....ways [aka sometimes being an ass!] But when I think of it, there's a lot of unknown, unfamiliar territory, almost like he's crossing a boundary, alas Dauda's a patient man who loves this pragmatic bald British boyfriend! He's patient with affection, allowing Bishop to go and test the waters. Holding hands, cupping faces, soft whispers shared when alone, of encouragement, of love, of hope.

When I think of them I think of "its been so long since I've last felt this/done this" Trust in someone they barely know, yet feel like they've known for years now. ...<3 Do I think the others will catch each other doing this? Yes absolutely. Do I think sometimes they joke about it n give them a hard time? Absolutely you know it; you cannot tell me Bishop would be getting on Hackett n Woods on a mission cuz they're off in another room being the worlds most quietest queers right then

Today's focus vs yesterday's. Can you tell it's fucking storming again??? We got like one day of sun and then it's back to feeling like it's November again ugh.

I got an email from my history lab professor, giving me another idea for the paper, but at this point I'll see what I can do after I have read all the sources. Today I finished working on the first primary source, which seems actually really good for what I wanted to do initially, so hopefully I'll manage to do what I wanted and have a good product at the end. I have yet to email her back, but I think I'll do that tomorrow because my brain is absolutely fried right now. I then spent the rest of my day reviewing for my English lit exam, and I am very happy about the fact that I finished everything regarding Paradise Lost. I plan on working on my history lab project in the morning, and using the afternoons to review English lit, and judging by how it went today it seems like a good plan. I must admit I do terribly when I have to focus on multiple subject at the same time, but I don't have that much time so I have to find a way to make it work. Trying to divide in my head the days in two blocks could be the move. At the end of the week I'll see if it was actually the best idea. I should also start plaguing my dad by reviewing with him, but that might happen at the end of the week. I am so lucky he willingly listens to me rant about stuff, because actually talking to a person and explaining stuff, making sure I am clear enough he understand, is the most useful thing in preparation of oral exams.

Today's productivity:

started my day with an audiobook since lately my brain has been struggling with focus and reading in the morning has been more complicated

finished reading and annotating the first of my primary sources for the history paper I have to write

started reviewing outloud for my English lit exam (and finished the first review of Paradise Lost + the academic article on it I had to analize)

📖 went to see my biostats exam. our profs were super nice and explained everything that we did wrong in the exam and what we were supposed to write, so im feeling pretty confident about tomorrow

📝 received the grade of my quantum physics exam.... i had a 12/20, it's not the worst, many ppl failed the exam, but still... i was really hoping for more, i really thought the exam went well and i did study more than i think i ever did in my life. so yeah i was kinda disappointed

🍣 so i called my sister about it, i ended up crying. a lot. but really a lot lol. so my sis came over, got me sushi and we watched some MasterChef, so now i feel kinda better

oh and, the lovely @larstudy also said some things that made me feel better, her replies to my rant were so kind, even if rn im still not in the right headspace to be rational about it and listen to reason lol 💗💗

and now im going to sleep, so ill wake up early tomorrow to revise for my exam. See y'all tomorrow💜

hey everyone!! going on a little side quest with my big sister to my mom’s house to get our packages cause we trust my mom more than the management at our apartment, and she’s driving so i get to make my post!!

academic:

🧬 made it to all of my classes today (genetics, choir, genetics lab)

🧬 in genetics, the prof finished chapter 2 and gave us a quiz on it. it was 4 questions and we had 2 attempts but i got them all right on my first attempt!

🧬 put my genetics exams in my calendar. not really homework but still a task that was written down and needed doing

🧬 read chapter 1 of the genetics lab manual for lab today!

🧬 watched the genetics pre-lab lecture (which was useless because we had to sit through the TA going through all the slides again anyway, even though 90% of it was stuff we learned in our pre-reqs, and respectfully, if you don’t know this stuff already you shouldn’t be in this lab 😂)

🧬 watched the genetics pre-lab videos (shorter videos specific to each lab exercise. these were more useful, however one of the lab exercises was looking at meiotic cells under a microscope but the other two were flipping coins and moving around painted popsicle sticks with velcro stuck on the middle to represent chromosomes. i just looked at my lab partner and said, “someone sat here and painted these popsicle sticks and stuck velcro on them. for an upper level genetics lab” end rant 😂)

🧬 finished reading chapter 2 in the micro textbook

🧬 installed the lockdown app to take my pre-lab quiz. again not really homework, but still a necessary task

🧬 got a 100% on the pre-lab quiz! (which weirdly we took in lab at the beginning 🤨)

🧚 i woke up at 5:30 by accident and watched tv on my phone until i fell back asleep and then i didn’t get out of bed until almost 8, so i broke my streak of getting up at 7 every day except sunday. however! i still managed to continue my least-established habits of reading my Bible (humbling to write out that this is a least established habit -_-) and making my bed! 🤩

i did not manage to do micro notes for last week. i also am currently watching the biochem pre-lecture video for tomorrow and ranting to a friend. hopefully i can get a lot of sleep tonight. some scary/sad things happened today and i’m also just anxious about nothing in particular. really just feeling a little hopeless about everything.

1: (Untitled) A Red Son x Reader LMK arranged marriage/rivals to lovers where Princess Iron fan and DBK are unconfident in their son's ability to do anything right- including finding a spouse worthy of carrying on their great family line. so, they pick one for him. you are the finest soldier in the demon bull corps; smart, strong, capable- you have never failed an assignment, and that's not about to change anytime soon. they assign you to their son's side so that you can grow closer under the guise of you being his aid in attempting to retrieve the monkey king's staff- killing two birds with one stone. Unfortunately, you aren't exactly Red Son's biggest fan, finding his haughty attitude beyond irritating. this wasn't fair to either of you, like hell you would let it go forward. Since Iron fan and DBK hadn't told their son what they were up to or straight-up forced him to tie the knot with you, you guessed that they wanted him to choose you of his own free will- something you are certain would never happen. Your plan was to put everything you had into getting that staff back and absolutly nothing into getting red son to like you. Of course youll have to fake some sort of repour when prying eyes are watching otherwise the jig is up and your bosses will find out your disobeying orders. But it should be fine, your confident that you can manage. You can beat up one measely deleviery boy. You can tollerate Red son for as long as you need to. You can get him to cooperate with the neritive without clueing him in. You wont lose.

2:(Untitled) A Micheal Afton x OC FNAF. Ronnie moves in with her grandparents after getting kicked out of her old school for getting into a bad fight with the principals daughter. she hates it. she liked her old school and her old friends just fine, most of all she liked her old house. but she doesn't have must of a choice in the matter, her mom cant drop everything to drive her two hours every morning with her hospital jobs hours, so moving in with her grand parents who live within walking distance of her new school is the next best thing. her first night in town, she goes boarding and accidentally knocks some guy off a bike. they don't make a great first impression on each other, but they'll have to learn to get along as long as they're classmates. the more time they spend together, the more they begrudgingly realize they have in common. this leads to a lot of rivalry, fighting and an unrealized awkward tension between them. also, they meet right before Even/CC dies so... yeah :) angst. :)

3:(The Right Path) a Laard Nar x Navigator Invader Zim fic where Nav saves the massive from sailing into the Florpus at the last second by going against the Tallest's command. everyone lived! however, the tallest we not too pleased with his disobedience. so, they had him thrown in a holding cell and scheduled for a Pak wipe. of course, having literally been born to pilot the massive, he knew the ship like the back of his hand. he escaped to a random planet on a stolen voot cruiser. on that planet he wanders, until he comes upon Resisty HQ by complete coincidence.

BONUS! 4: (All Hail Queen Bee!) a Miraculous Ladybug Re-write/Fix-it where Chloe gets to keep the bee miraculous and her character development because I'm bitter & petty. i... i could give a run down about it but there's just so much and yet not nearly enough to talk about. if i tried, id just end up ranting, it honestly needs its own post but i just wanted to let ya know it exists in my brain.

So After Hours is my librarian alter-ego tryisting with a hunky, young Geralt and Pumpkin Spice finds her falling hard for Walter as barista. So so nice.

Recent Past Fandom - The Last Kingdom: Once upon a time I also convinced @anotherwinchesterfangirl to write a masterful, lost-in-time three-way with Finan and Sihtric. where our pieces fall in place is such a dreamy, passion-filled exploration of what that might be like. "New habits of yours?" Woods asked, quietly watching the smaller male trace his fingers through the lines on his palms. Hackett didn't look up, nor did he stir or stop. "Don't mind it do ya? Haven't said anything since I've started." Hackett chuckled, his fingers stopping in the middle of his hand.

Woods tilted his head, a soft smile spread across his face. "I don't mind. Haven't thought about it too much." Noticing the way Hackett placed another finger into his palm, carefully gliding it up to his wrists.

"What made you start this?" Hackett gave a quick glance before he muttered, "Dunno, like it tho. Feels nice doesn't it?" Woods sighed, he wouldn't nor could he deny, it did feel good. It felt nice, felt safe. There was a lot of thoughts and emotions that poured into him when it happened he felt suddenly so unfamiliar with. A foggy mirror of unknown, it felt like another thing he should have remembered, but luck didn't seem to be his way.

"It feels nice." He mumbled in response. Hackett chuckled, and he knew why but the two sat there quietly anyway. His calloused fingers spread over healed scars. It was odd, it felt as though it should have brought a feeling of disgust. Someone tracing the same scars he inflicted on himself, but it never did.

Woods would watch the way Hackett's fingers traced his palms, traced carefully around scars outlining them. Sometimes he thought about doing the same, wondering how the smaller male would react to his hands tracing his scars with the same care he did. He never did it. He wasn't sure if he could, or if he'd ever be able too.

Slowly, Hackett's hand sunk back his palm, however this time, his fingers linked with his. Woods looked up, blue eyes meeting green ones. "is this another habit of yours?" He smiled, chuckling when Hackett scoffed.

"Want me to stop then?" "No." Woods quickly answers, this time being one to get laughed at. Mentally commenting on how desperate he seemed not to separate. Hackett leaned into Woods shoulder, his thumb rubbing gently.

"I don't know the last time I ever did this." Woods admitted, "Me either." "It...it feels weird doesn't it?" "A bit, but it's a comfortable weird." Woods didn't dare look up, wanting to bask in the sight of something that felt so foreign. Maybe he was afraid to look up, maybe if he did his eyes would be lying to him, time and time again.

Hackett chuckled weakly, tightening his grip, "Some sappy romantic shit huh?" Woods couldn't trap the laugh that left him, running his hand swiftly through his hair. "Two grown men holding hands in hell together is romantic enough for you Hackett?" "Dunno, could be a lot worse, could be 100 percent fuckin better."

"Wish it was better." Woods whispered, under his breath, he thought no one heard. "Maybe some day it will." Hackett responded plainly.

It was silent after that. Neither dared speak, not wanting to break what little they had for now. Sitting side by side, comfortably close, Hackett traced the veins on Woods hand. Woods watching, with yearning wrapped around him.

6. what books have you read in the last month?

I've tried to really keep up with my reading list this summer (& mostly failed 🙃) but still managed to read a lot of great ones!

I also know for a fact that I won't be able to keep up with my reading list once school starts, so I felt like I should make use of the time I have in the summer

finished Rousseau's Confessions (was it last month? feels like only yesterday but also ages somehow)

Pearson's Voltaire Almighty (probably my favourite of the books I've read last month)

Dracula! (you were definitely the inspiration for that one! 🦇 It was really fun, plus Mina will from now on feature on all my favourite literary characters lists)

Rousseau's Letter to d'Alembert on Plays (it's long I swear. It can hardly be called a letter the way he rants on for god-knows-how-many pages)

A Pocket History of Ireland + Modern Ireland: A Short Introduction. Ashamed to say I didn't get to anything more substantial yet. But maybe I'll manage to at least start Joyce?

Lately? A stamp of approval from my mutuals ✨

But in general, I usually either pick up a book that's on a topic that interests me (like a favourite historical era) or a book by an author that I find interesting (works well for philosophers as well as those authors whose personal lives were even more of a wild ride than their books).

When it comes to the book itself, I appreciate a good prose. The kind of book that includes passages you want to immediately write down or memorise by heart.

Oh, and this will sound cheesy, but I really love books with which you can read between the lines? Like the ones that can reveal a lot about the author or about the times it was written, even if it's not immediately obvious.

Finally picking up ntn, and the result of my first round of storing in jars the herbs I dried.

I am not even going to rant about how July is at its end. In the past few days I worked, I finished putting stuff up on the shelves in my room, watched tv shows and I finally got a bit more time to read. Today I decided it was time to start storing in jars the herbs I hanged up to dry a while back. While I worked on it I listened to two full books unbound episodes plus an entire other video essay on ya fantasy. I haven't even stored a third of all the herbs, but it's a start nonetheless. As I was saying in the past few days not only I watched the last few episode of the witcher, finishing the 3rd season which I liked much more than the 2nd. But I also watched the whole good omens 2nd season. I have binged watched yeasterday as a little treat for having worked so much in the past week, and it brough me a lot of joy and it also destroyed me emotionally. I also finally finished reading Juniper And Thorn by Ava Reid this morning, and as I am writing this Nona The Ninth is right beside me waiting for me to finally pick it up.

Chill hobbit summer activities of the past few days:

Read first thing in the morning (ngl I skipped a couple of days of this)

Wrote the book reviews of the last few books I read and posted this one

Continued my reviews of Irish on duolingo

Worked at my family's store

Did a lot of history themed crosswords with my brother

Finished organizing my bedroom

Enjoyed some tv shows which I hadn't done in a while

Listened to bookish podcasts

Started to store my herbs in jars

Updated my reading journal and made my august speads (as for my bujo I kinda let it go in the past few months, mostly because I use it for planning study stuff. I made a couple of useful spreads in these weeks but no monthly set up or anything, I am just vibing with it as a tool more than a habit at the moment)
