Wait I also want to hear 38 and 39!
— @corellianhounds
38. Weirdest story idea you’ve ever had
Had this idea of tying the How To Train Your Dragon universe into Star Wars. Dragons of varying species and an array of abilities, some with near human intelligence? That could so fit in Star Wars.
Of course, the more my sister and I discussed it, the wilder the whole AU got. At first, we were thinking it’d be cool if they’re on an Earth-like planet somewhere in the galaxy, but then we spiralled into this idea of the HTTYD Vikings being the ancestors of the Mandalorians. Like, Gronkle Iron could be beskar, what started as dragon-proof armour turned into the Mandalorian armour, Vizslas descend from the Hooligan tribe… we had a lot of fun with it.
(Also just… Din and Hiccup meeting would be so funny. The levels of sass would be through the roof…)
39. Weirdest character concept you’ve ever had
Of original characters? Maybe the as-of-yet unnamed Anzellan Mandalorian my sister and I keep bringing up when we’re collaborating. (Never put him in a story yet, but we imagine he’s somewhere in the background in the covert on Nevarro. He helps the Armourer install fine circuitry into the gear and armour pieces)
Of established characters that I’ve played around with… I’d have to say my still unwritten and mostly unworked on “Ursa Wren is secretly the Nevarran Armourer concept comes to mind.

oooh ummm 4 and 24
(with DWM if you don't mind)
Me? Mind? Talking about my favourite child? Never.
4.) What detail in DWM are you really proud of?
I’m pretty proud of linking the imagery of Silco’s eyes being like an ocean sunset to Reader/Astrid’s search for her ‘horizon’.
I always had it in my head from the beginning that Silco was this ‘horizon’ she has spent her life searching for. But the realisation that I could use a physical description of his infamous eyes to make that connection didn’t occur to me until I was perhaps 14 chapters in.
It was one of those arrogant writer moments where, when it struck me, I was legit like “I am the greatest writer of all time. Shakespeare should be coming to me for notes.”
24.) Are there any Easter eggs in DWM, and if so what are they?
Yeeeeaaah so I was most of the way through the fic when it came out that Silco’s VA is a douche. So unfortunately there are a few Spitsak Easter eggs in there. Namely the drunk escapades in Chapter 9.

For the ask game: Fire, Ice, and Winter!
Fire: What’s a scene that you are dying to write?
There are several.
First, I’m super excited to kill off one of my characters in my novel To Play the Game, because she is actually immortal and it’s going to be like a big plot twist/reveal! (I really want to see my writing groups reaction mwahaha. I’m also just excited in general for the ending of that book because it’s going to be CHAOS! And the villain is finally going to get a face reveal and I love hiiim! He’s so crazy!
Second, I’m really excited to write the backstory for one of the antagonist characters in another book called Wanderthought. It’s always on my mind, but I’m excited for when I finally reach the point where I can reveal it to the other characters! In that same book, I’m also dying to write the MCs’ relationship, because currently they tolerate each other but they’re going to be so in love someday! 🥰
Third, there’s this moment in Dangerous Attraction coming up in the distant future! I need to build up the relationship between Paramour and Guard still but basically Guard is going to be used as leverage and Paramour’s going to be like “kill him, I don’t care.” But then when they actually start to hurt them they’re like “Stop, stop, stop! Ok!” And until this moment it’s very unclear whether Paramour has genuine feelings or not and just ahhh *chef’s kiss*
Fourth, Big Bad will have a similar moment near the end. Supervillain is going to realize Villain might be killed by the third supervillain, so they jump in and kill the supervillain and rescue villain, and it’s going to be so charged with Villain’s panic from almost dying and Supervillain’s panic from almost losing them, and they are sitting with their foreheads together, lips centimeters apart, so so close to touching, and then they both get a hold of themselves and separate before they can actually kiss because they’re both still sort of in denial. But it’s going to be ultimate slow burn tease to their real feelings.
The problem is these are all at the end of the stories and I’m not even close to any of them. And I like writing chronologically because often lots of plot changes in between me writing the beginning and ending.
Ice: What do you always get stuck on when writing?
Fight scenes. I hate them. It’s so hard to make them actually interesting and not a boring play by play. Part of the reason I haven’t continued some series is because I know fight scenes are coming up. I also get stuck on naming things, I usually mark anything I need to come back to as “tk” (to come) and that helps, but it still eats in the back of my mind and makes it hard to move on.
Winter: Have you ever written a story based on a holiday? If yes, which holiday was it for and what was it like?
Hmmm, I think the closest I’ve gotten are holiday themed prompts. I did one for Thanksgiving and another for Black Friday. Oh and one for Valentine’s Day too. I think if I were to write an actual story though, Halloween would be a fun one! Halloween with real monsters involved (I know that been done already, but I don’t care)

I started realizing I liked writing around 1st-2ndish grade
The first story I made was called “How to Make Friends” . . It was more so a bit more non fiction, but I might do a remake to compare how different my mind has changed lol
Poetry, nonfiction, fiction, fable, fantasy, adventure, short story, comedy, autobiography, comics, action, romance, mythology. . More of them are incomplete than complete though
Fantasy, poetry, adventure, and comedies
I write more poetry than anything else, so I daydream the tropes. I have like a lot of tropes, but my current obsession is ‘Ray of Sunshine’ aka the Golden Retriever x ‘the Gremlin’ or the cat, I also like to call them yellow and purple
Character development
A Pinkie Pie, but is going through an existential revolution every week. . . I kinda forgot what characters are like that, but the closest OC I have to that would have to be ‘???’ because she's still shrouded in mystery
Kiawe without a doubt. He has Can flirt like it's his second nature, I can't. He can enter a conversation naturally, while I can only listen in and think up my own opinions in my head.
I have yet to kill off any of my characters
My ‘Alice in Wonderland’ novel that still has yet to be named at the moment
I've made little bits of fanfics of an oc if that counts
‘As the’, ‘like a’, ‘he/she said/thought to himself/herself’
I have some run-off sentences, and I have great diction!
I cannot for the love of me, write about romance. So I've started reading some romance novels for a different novel that iI'm working on
Writing everytime I have an idea, influence, and motivation
From Youtube, my drawings, writing prompts, daydreams, real life situations, and other stories/fanfiics
It's a romance fantasy novel, and the OCs that are being starred are from a fandom having nothing to do with my story
“Its not impossible, it's just a challenge!” *I think I got from Draculara in Monster High*
“I know it's hard, and it feels impossible. But that's today, tomorrow you'll be in a different place in life”
Write, type, and scribble everything that comes to mind down on something

Hi Alli! 💕 For the OC ask game, 3) and 25) for Kazi!
Hi Molly! Thanks for sending these in!
3) When is your OC’s birthday or what is their zodiac sign if you haven’t picked a date yet? Answer both if you wish.
In Star Wars, Kazi’s birthday takes place near the start of the harvest season so around the start of autumn. If we’re converting to modern life, I’m going to say October (I know that’s not actually the start of harvest season) but it’s personally my fav month so I’m going with it. And Kazi gives off October vibes to me.
25) The name you chose for your OC, why did you chose it?
Kazi is named after the main female character in the Dance of Thieves duology. It’s one of my favorite YA book series, and I was rereading it while outlining my fic and it stuck with me.

3, 5, and 18 for the writing asks! (Sorry if there’s any repeats, I didn’t see these on a first pass)
— @corellianhounds
3. Computer or pen and paper?
I love pen and paper, really I do, but my wrists don’t have that kind of stamina. And I can’t sit up to work at a computer for very long, so it’s tablet for me. All my writing for the last eight years has been done on an iPad.
5. How much writing do you get done on an average day?
About 500-1000 words. I made that a goal for myself, like, fifteen years ago and I got into a habit of it.
18. If you could collaborate with anyone, who would it be, and what would you write about?
This one really got me thinking.
Writing is an extremely private thing for me—always has been. I love collaborating with my sister, but that’s as much as I can handle.
The only person I can think of that I would have loved to have a chance to write with is my grandfather. He wrote a story for me when I was born but died a few months later. As I’ve gotten older and written a bit myself, I can recognize similarities in our style and voice. I think we would have had fun writing together. I don’t know what we would have come up with, but it sure would’ve had some interesting characters in it.

Would anyone participate if I do a birthday/follower celebration weekend? I’ve tried to do these before but no one sent anything in so I don’t want to waste my time but I think it could be fun.
Just some asks or drabbles for current or future stories! 👉🏻👈🏻🥺

10, 12, and 13 from "questions for fic writers" *blows u a kiss*
*catches kiss and rubs it all over face*
10.) How do you decide what to write?
My brain backs me into a corner with a loaded gun and tells me.
12.) Are there any tropes you used to dislike but have grown on you?
Answered this one here!
13.) Are there any tropes you used to like but don’t anymore?
Probably the ‘I’m-not-like-other-girls’ MC. When I was a teen it appealed to me because I was lonely and different and angry at the world & everyone in it.
Now I just think it’s a cheap trick. There are vastly more interesting ways to make a character unique and special.

1. What’s your favorite fic that you’ve written and why?
2. What’s a favorite fic you’ve read?
3. Who’s your favorite fic author?
4. What’s your favorite trope/tag to write in?
and also 5. Tell me more about "In search of new dreams" thanks
1. With stuff that I’ve written myself, probably ‘And No Birds Sing’ or ‘As God Has Forgiven You’. They’re the two that immediately come to mind. The first because it was my first go at a real gen case fic and I loved writing it even though it didn’t get much reception, and the second because it was a small labor of love to… lessen the sourness of how horribly they did Lucifer in the end of Supernatural. So it was cathartic.
2. Ough that’s a hard one. A really indulgent one I like is ‘The Man In the Box’ by robinasnyder on Ao3. It’s very much heavy on the hurt side of hurt/comfort, and it’s unfinished, but the characterization is done so well and it always pulls at my heartstrings.
3. Ah it’s hard to choose a favorite when I am tangentially friends with a lot of fic writers. I’m going to have to go with InHisImage though because her writing has inspired one of the most fruitful collaborations I’ve ever been a part of I love her so much ❤️
4. Mngh I love whump, angst, hurt no comfort… dub-con. Weight gain. I haven’t written fluff in a while but it can be nice.
5. Bestie for this one all I was thinking about was you and what you would enjoy. It was a labor of love (:
