January 2025 Recap | [PLAY ON ITCH]

On January 13th I launched the Bride of Shadows demo on Itch. It's surreal to think that it was only half a month ago. The interactive novel has consumed my life in the best possible way.

It's been so rewarding to share my work with others and find that they enjoy the same kind of stories as me. The only thing I have to compare this to is having a new baby, where you're tired all the time but also ridiculously happy to interact with this weird little beast you've created.

If you've followed me on my main blog, this will be my blog for posting general updates, writing advice, and (once I learn more) tips on making interactive novels. I also plan on conducting polls to find out what IF lovers want to see more of and less of in their stories. I hope to make more fantasy & paranormal romance IFs in the future, but for the moment I am focused on pouring my effort and passion into Bride of Shadows.

I find the idea amusing that technically WE are Hylia to all hylians/the Legend of Zelda world as a whole, because technically...

Whenever we write fanfiction we are deciding what happens. We control the outcome, the domain of time and all else.

Which makes me laugh AGAIN because of all the times people write Legend cursing out Hylia, cause if you think about it like that then you just made Legend call you a piece of sh-t

just finished both nsfw route and non nsfw route and I love your writing so much! Serax and Val are described as bigger than MC but I was wondering if they had canonical heights?

One of my quirks is that I never do specific heights and weights for fictional characters. I like to describe them and let readers fill in the blanks. I had a novel series I wrote in my 20's and my readers got really mad because they didn't think my BBW protagonist weighed enough and they thought my male leads weren't tall enough. It was a big headache. Lesson learned. Canonically, your MC is slightly taller than most human women, but around average height for a shadewalker woman. Serax is a head taller than your MC and marginally taller than most human men, but of average height for a shadewalker man. Valdricht is a head taller than Serax, considerably taller than most humans, and taller than an average shadewalker. Aside from that, make your own heights up. I'd be happy to hear them!

But the thing is, in my research Power Rangers Mystic Force, some words are similar to Latin, French, Greek etc. But the wording is different. Like Galwit is originated from Welsh word Galw which means to call.

This is... I have now made spells with mixed languages. Like :

Mysto Custodiro Eam: Mystic protection spell
