anyway bc of the residual Workplace Violence™ im feeling

what if aguefort hired another sorcerer teacher (could be full time, could be a sub) bc its his solution to jace's complaints abt how heavy his workload is. the new hire comes in and jace acts very polite and cordial bc hey its work, its easier to just smile and nod. its all fine until jace realizes its even more work.

starts as something small, mayb jace doesn't like how they teach (saying that as sorcerers they need to be perfect, no point in casting if you dont have it down to a t, etc etc). then some students go to him w concerns abt how they dont feel they're applying themselves properly, asking if they could transfer to his class instead. then he tries to talk to the new hire about those concerns but they just insist there's nothing wrong w the way they teach, even puts down jace's own method of teaching and starts giving him pointers on "how to improve it". jace gets so mad at this ofc bc why tf is this person treating him like he's the new hire? who tf do they think they are? he's been here for four goddamn years, and they're what? two weeks in? FUCK OFF!!!

"thank you so much for your input." jace would say to them instead bc it isn't it socially acceptable to banish people to the red waste for a month.

jace goes home to porter and he immediately starts ranting about the whole thing, talking so much shit about this new hire. porter listens to him quietly bc its better to let jace have it all out. however, it does takes jace the entire night. they're already getting ready for bed and he's still yapping away to the point where jace is so preoccupied w talking that he mindlessly follows whatever porter gestures. he doesn't even realize that he's straddling porter's lap until he felt porter kiss up a particular spot on his neck and suddenly he forgets his words.

"keep talking." porter encourages him but it's so difficult to form sentences when porter's hands start to feel him up under his sleep shirt and he can feel porter's hard on. he starts whining, desperate and needy, hoping porter would just get on with it. jace abandons the ranting entirely and goes to kiss him, feeling porter smile in the kiss. -jace keeps his hair just a little longer than we see in canon bc he likes when the other squad members do double french braids with little bows at the ends to give it a little flair. porter also. very much likes this.

-jace has the cheer pants and the cheer skirt and wears both depending on his mood.

-porter is whatever the bloodrush equivalent to a defensive linebacker is, so he's used to getting hit and getting hit hard. that's his job, stay on defense, protect the ball, go down if he needs to. it doesn't really effect him anymore, especially since they have magic and can just do a quick cure wounds or lay on hands if anything too detrimental happens.

but jace is absolutely not okay the first time he sees porter take a hit after they start dating, and some of the other cheer squad members have to stop him from running out onto the field when a time-out is called so they can check on porter. he spends the rest of the night fussing over him after the game because he's got too much anxious energy to sit still.

-they've fucked in the locker room dozens of times, but they've only gotten caught like five times, maybe? which is a miracle on its own because they are not fucking quiet. it's always been a toss up on who threatens the poor soul who happened to walk in. most people are honestly more afraid of jace bc his magic is still very, very unpredictable at that point.

-they are very territorial over each other but they do not need to be bc everyone knows they're so crazy for each other that trying to insert themselves in their relationship is a death sentence.

-every prom they throw insane after parties. jace always spikes the punch. and they sneak off to fuck in a classroom at least twice.

-they break up once, and jace seems fine about it, but porter is a wreck. and not like... raging, throwing shit. he's just obviously so devastated and desperate to fix it, and he's constantly scanning the halls, the cafeteria, the courtyard for any sign of jace. when jace leaves his letterman in his locker, along with some old t-shirts jace had taken over the years a few days after they break up, porter openly cries about it before he goes to the gym and breaks a few punching bags. obvs they work it out within a few weeks, but porter takes it really hard and once they're back together, jace finally admits that he hadn't been sleeping much since they broke up because he didn't have anything that smelled like porter anymore and that's what had been keeping him calm when wild magic surges would hit suddenly.

-they're high school sweethearts, basically. they grow up, they get married. end up teaching at augefort. in this au they do not ever become evil, just a weird grown up version of their a little bit fucked up dynamic from high school where its like. they're in love but maybe there is such a thing as too in love, you know?

tox fact of the day: when i changed my url from garudyn3 to return to my preferred identity of "tox", i decided i needed a new username that contained that and could be used in multiple places. i'd been using variations of "toxicjackal" because fursona!tox used to be a jackal (he's a fox now) but honestly it never felt special, lmao.

214. ending thoughts: I know I bring up Alec’s pain the most, it’s because he never seems to recover and is constantly going through it. and he and Magnus are my fucking favs. besides Magnus, Maia, Raphael, simon- alec goes through some of the worst shit possible. and I’ve added it onto a post about everything alec and Magnus (plus thomastair) deal with because it’s an outrageous amount. of all the fears clary has, it’s Simon being unfaithful? seriously? how about all the shit she pulled in the first season? I would have liked to see her fears about how she has treated everyone and what she thinks Alec and Izzy think of her. you know, they could’ve given clary some actual growth but they were like nah, let’s make her almost as insufferable as book clary. or if they didn’t want to make it about Alec r Izzy, how about the fact that she lost her mom for a while and found out she lied all clary’s life and then suddenly died? people die and that’s life but of all things, she worries Simon is cheating?

and same goes for jace. I get he has conflicting views with Maryse and that was a good vision but it would have been nice to see his insecurity with alec. is jace ever jealous of alec? does he hate how he treats alec? is he aware of that? (probably not because he’s self centered) but it would have been nice to see some growth with the treatment of alec from clary and jace. I’m so fucking bloody sick of the parabatai bond only meaning something when jace needs Alec to save him again. Jace doesn’t protect Alec- that whole “I’ll always protect him but while trying to accomplish an interrogation to Magnus was the dumbest attempt he made. since the first episode, jace has been putting Alec through the ringer and I’ve not once seen jace actually go above and beyond to protect Alec. this parabatai bond means absolutely nothing.

Izzy didn’t need one because she’s going through yin fein addiction so we will let her have that so let’s call it a day

215. but also this episode has so much content in just 45 minutes. Alec makes it clear that Magnus isn’t going away and he wants everyone to know how much he adores magnus. Jace hilariously tried to question Magnus and Alec’s relationship as if that’s any of his business and as if he ever carried about Alec. HE DOES NOT and you can’t prove that jace cares about Alec.

Magnus plans this party for alec and then has to deal with Iris, jace and clary bullshit, the love of his life almost dying, Maryse being a cunt, max thinking the worst of him, the poor man goes through it all. Alec almost takes his life and mags seems to be the only one who cares after it’s all done and finished. I never once see jace actually talk to him about it and clary saying “I don’t blame you” just doesn’t seem to be enough especially after all she has done to him and his family.

we find out that max is now a certified shadowhunter and that low scum Robert is cheating on Maryse and that’s why she’s been such a bloody cunt lately. Maryse is still treating Magnus like shit and doesn’t show any appreciation that Magnus saved Alec or any concern that Alec just tried taking his life. oh and the whole stupid I can destroy the sword jace and I can create runes clary bullshit. and it still amazes me how okay everyone is about how jace hid the fate of the downworld from the downworlders. no wonder they fucking retaliate after. I would be hella mad if my family was murdered because of jaces stupidity and he’s walking around as if he didn’t do anything wrong. but all in all, it’s a very good episode and honestly one of my top ten favs but I think it’s poorly executed.

IF YOU ARE GOING TO INCLUDE TRAUMA WRITE IT WELL (and I’m not saying that the show didn’t do Alec and Magnus justice because they did but there is so much that could have been changed for the better) but still a top notch episode and I would give it a 6 on my bitchfest scale
