212. as Alec’s parabatai, it is on jace to be there for Alec. but see, that’s the problem with the parabatai bond with them. it’s only relevant when jace needs something. how is it that Alec can always feel something is off with Jace but he never feels that for Alec? that’s on CC but the show should’ve handled that better. Alec and Magnus and Izzy are obviously the stars of the show but there is so much more that they could’ve done for Alec and how he is treated

213. this just doesn’t seem enough for me. Alec helped you try to get your mom back, which ended up you almost getting pregnant clary, he’s constantly apologizing, and almost took his life so from the way I see it, clary fucking owes Alec and that’s not adding all the other times he saved her worthless ass. ALEC DID NOT HAVE ANY CONTROL CONSENT WILLPOWER WHEN A DEMON INCORPORATED HIS BODY. this honestly feels like a whole Alec and clary don’t get along but let’s make Alec do the worst possible thing so they can be friends now. get the fuck out of here, not everyone has to worship clary. I certainly don’t and I certainly don’t fucking like her or will ever tolerate her

214. ending thoughts: I know I bring up Alec’s pain the most, it’s because he never seems to recover and is constantly going through it. and he and Magnus are my fucking favs. besides Magnus, Maia, Raphael, simon- alec goes through some of the worst shit possible. and I’ve added it onto a post about everything alec and Magnus (plus thomastair) deal with because it’s an outrageous amount. of all the fears clary has, it’s Simon being unfaithful? seriously? how about all the shit she pulled in the first season? I would have liked to see her fears about how she has treated everyone and what she thinks Alec and Izzy think of her. you know, they could’ve given clary some actual growth but they were like nah, let’s make her almost as insufferable as book clary. or if they didn’t want to make it about Alec r Izzy, how about the fact that she lost her mom for a while and found out she lied all clary’s life and then suddenly died? people die and that’s life but of all things, she worries Simon is cheating?

and same goes for jace. I get he has conflicting views with Maryse and that was a good vision but it would have been nice to see his insecurity with alec. is jace ever jealous of alec? does he hate how he treats alec? is he aware of that? (probably not because he’s self centered) but it would have been nice to see some growth with the treatment of alec from clary and jace. I’m so fucking bloody sick of the parabatai bond only meaning something when jace needs Alec to save him again. Jace doesn’t protect Alec- that whole “I’ll always protect him but while trying to accomplish an interrogation to Magnus was the dumbest attempt he made. since the first episode, jace has been putting Alec through the ringer and I’ve not once seen jace actually go above and beyond to protect Alec. this parabatai bond means absolutely nothing.

Izzy didn’t need one because she’s going through yin fein addiction so we will let her have that so let’s call it a day

215. but also this episode has so much content in just 45 minutes. Alec makes it clear that Magnus isn’t going away and he wants everyone to know how much he adores magnus. Jace hilariously tried to question Magnus and Alec’s relationship as if that’s any of his business and as if he ever carried about Alec. HE DOES NOT and you can’t prove that jace cares about Alec.

Magnus plans this party for alec and then has to deal with Iris, jace and clary bullshit, the love of his life almost dying, Maryse being a cunt, max thinking the worst of him, the poor man goes through it all. Alec almost takes his life and mags seems to be the only one who cares after it’s all done and finished. I never once see jace actually talk to him about it and clary saying “I don’t blame you” just doesn’t seem to be enough especially after all she has done to him and his family.

we find out that max is now a certified shadowhunter and that low scum Robert is cheating on Maryse and that’s why she’s been such a bloody cunt lately. Maryse is still treating Magnus like shit and doesn’t show any appreciation that Magnus saved Alec or any concern that Alec just tried taking his life. oh and the whole stupid I can destroy the sword jace and I can create runes clary bullshit. and it still amazes me how okay everyone is about how jace hid the fate of the downworld from the downworlders. no wonder they fucking retaliate after. I would be hella mad if my family was murdered because of jaces stupidity and he’s walking around as if he didn’t do anything wrong. but all in all, it’s a very good episode and honestly one of my top ten favs but I think it’s poorly executed.

IF YOU ARE GOING TO INCLUDE TRAUMA WRITE IT WELL (and I’m not saying that the show didn’t do Alec and Magnus justice because they did but there is so much that could have been changed for the better) but still a top notch episode and I would give it a 6 on my bitchfest scale

Alec paces impatiently in the Institute’s meeting chambers. He has Isabelle, Jace, and two security guards present for the arrival of the Seelie representative, standard procedure for meetings that are meant to hold any serious political weight. Honestly, the Nephilim are so generally untrusting of the Seelies that he’s surprised the Consul or Inquisitor themselves aren’t making an appearance just to keep an eye on things.

“Don’t be nervous,” Isabelle says. “Meliorn is no one to be afraid of. They’re harsh, but fair, at least in my experience.”

Alec wants to tell her that his nerves around Meliorn don’t stem from their political standpoints on any of the upcoming Cabinet discussions, but that would mean explaining that the entire reason for this Very Official Meeting is a facade. He dislikes keeping secrets from his siblings but he understands why he has to.

And it’s worth it for the moment Meliorn strides into the room, no hesitation, no questions asked. There’s no sneaking around, no fear of getting caught - they simply walk into the Institute surrounded by two guards on either side as if they owns the place.

“Mr. Lightwood,” Meliorn states with a formal inclination of their head in greeting.

“Meliorn,” Alec returns, ignoring the stutter of his heart and forcing his voice to be even and dry in his own greeting.

“As a sign of trust and good faith, I would like to dismiss my own guards and companions so that we may meet privately,” Alec says, with a dismissive motion towards the other Nephilim.

“Are you sure, Alec?” Jace asks, unable to hide the concern from his tone.

“Positive,” Alec confirms with the smallest of smiles.

Isabelle glances between Alec and Meliorn, eyes narrowed for a second before turning without another word and leaving the room, grabbing Jace by the arm on her way out. The two guards follow reluctantly behind.

“I can agree to that,” Meliorn says, motioning for their own guard to follow the Nephilim from the room. The Seelie Knights look like they want to disagree but follow the orders without hesitation from their superior.

The door closes behind the last of them, leaving Alec completely alone with Meliorn who glances around the corners of the room suspiciously as Alec walks to the door and draws a locking rune followed closely by a silencing rune.

“No cameras in here,” Alec promises. “We’re completely alone.”

“Well done, Alexander,” Meliorn says. “I must say, I didn’t think you had it in you.”

“We haven’t seen each other in weeks,” Alec says, wasting no time in crossing the room to press against Meliorn, chest-to-chest, their faces nearly touching. He isn’t proud of how much the sentence comes out sounding like a whine.

“You continue to surprise me. It doesn’t happen often when you’ve lived as long as I have,” Meliorn says, moving forward just enough to press into the length of Alec’s body, but still keeping their lips from touching Alec’s own in a torturous display of self-control.

It’s a control Alec doesn’t share. He leans in to press his lips forcefully against Meliorns, closing any remaining space between them. The kiss is hungry, desperate, and full of the longing that their weeks apart created in both of them. Hands roam idly up and down backs, fingers tangling in locks of hair, and moans brought on by quick bites are stifled by pressing lips into necks and shoulderblades.

When they pull away both are properly disheveled, and Alec knows they’ve only just begun.

“I think this is going to be a lengthy negotiation,” Alec warns. “I hope your men don’t mind waiting.”

“I’m not sure they’ll have to wait very long if your current eagerness is any sign,” Meliorn teases, a good-natured smirk on their face.

Alec scoffs but smiles as he pushes Meliorn back against the wall. “We’ll see about that,” he says, kissing them before they can say another word.

Clary: Dear diary, WHAT THE HELL? so my father is an evil overlord who wants to destroy Downworlders, my mom is still kidnapped and it turns out Jace is my brother, what is life??????????, Also Simon is a vampire and I can't help but blame myself, Alec is off doing things but I know he's gay, Izzy is Izzy, Magnus is currently looking after Jace but says Jace keeps cleaning his loft, I just want things to be normal again, I need coffee.

Jace: Dear diary, *screams!* Why does everything I do end up wrong?, My father is alive, we ain't gonna talk about the Clary situation cause yeah, Alec is avoiding me and idk why, Izzy seems like she's gonna explode over all the love drama. Church seems pissed at me, Magnus keeps telling me to stop cleaning but I clean when I am stressed and when I am anxious and when I am mad, but chairman meow snuggles on me. Simon is a vampire and I honestly don't know. I apparently have a mom? The inquisitor has it out for me she is a scary woman, I am not afraid of her but I imagine others are, and Maryse seems upset with me again don't know what I did. And the Clary situation *sighs*, also Clary and Simon are dating and I guess I was right about it, anyways *SCREAMS*.

Alec: Dear diary, I am officially done, I am fucking done, this is way to much drama for me, also Jace has gone into depression over the Clary situation and he doesn't even realize it, Izzy tried to make me food and I had to run. Magnus is hot, and we have meetings but like I can't be with him and besides I like Jace, Simon is now a vampire but still annoying and he and Clary are dating whatever that is. But also Magnus. oh, and the inquisitor really is um... I can't say that it's rude, mom is very stressed, Max has no idea what's going on, and Jace is staying with Magnus, also Clary is the daughter of an evil overlord. But yeah Magnus.

Magnus: Dear fucking diary, why do I always get dragged into the Shadowhunter's business, if it weren't for Alec and Biscuit I would have ran away, but Alec and those blue eyes. Oh, and now I am watching over Jace Wayland/Lightwood, they say he's a Morgenstern but I don't think he appreciates being called that, also there's something oddly familiar about some of his vibes, they remind me if Will Herondale but I don't know why, also he's afraid of ducks like the Herondales it's weird, but he also keeps cleaning, he keeps fucking cleaning and I don't know where things are, what is he? A housewife? No offense to housewives. Clary and Jace have a situation and I honestly want nothing to do with it. Simon Lewis is a vampire now, I actually feel bad for him, poor guy didn't want anything to do with it. Isabelle Lightwood is not someone to be fucked with I have gathered. The inquisitor is a pain in my ass, but I will do it for Alec in hopes that he'll finally see he isn't in love with Jacey and will realize why I am doing all this cause I like him a lot.

Izzy: Dear diary, I am tired, I like drama but damn this amount and kind of drama is not fun and Jace is actually in a lot of emotional pain and I am tired of seeing him like that, I want my partner in crime back. Clary is Valentine's daughter and her mom is kidnapped, I kinda wish she would go away since she's the cause of my brother's pain but he would be mad if he knew i was thinking this, and I suppose we do need her. Simon is a vampire gotta admit it isn't going to be easy for him and I feel bad for him but idk why. Jace is staying with Magnus and I find it kinda funny. The inquisitor is a word I shouldn't say, and mom seems tense. Dad is idk, and Max I hope doesn't have to understand what's going on. But ya know, I never thought this would be the shit I would be getting into, and I never thought Jace would meet someone who would wreck his whole world. But I swear if the inquisitor hurts my family I won't fucking hesitate.

Simon: Dear diary, life as a teenager is harder then I expected, I am a vampire, I remember when me and Clary were kid's and we pretended we were vampire's, yeah it isn't so fun anymore. I want to go back to normal life. Jace is insufferable right now but I guess I feel a little bad for him, maybe. Clary and me are dating but I feel she isn't as serious about it as I am. Alec and Magnus have something going on but I can't place it. Raphael is interesting, and he definitely doesn't like me. Luke is back and is like dad to everyone, also Maia is cool. Also apparently Clary is the daughter of some super villain and like wtf? Also the Clary and Jace situation..., Yeah let's not get into that. I feel like we are on a drama train and we won't be getting off any time soon. Also Izzy is really cool too, and she's a badass like a super badass. Life is fun *he says sarcastically*.

Church: Dear Cat diary, where do I begin, I seem to be the only intelligent one, I miss Jem he was always intelligent. Also Jace doesn't realize he's a Herondale, if I could talk to these stupid hoomans I would scream it at him, this bitch radiates Herondale, also he's afraid of ducks, what other family would he belong to? But I can't talk and now he will go on thinking he is related to that Clary girl and will descend into the tragic love of the Herondales. Jem where are you? Also Alec and Magnus are meant to be like I know that much, Isabelle is always angry and one day she will figure out why. Simon Lewis is actually a good guy who needs to be wrapped in a blanket, believe me I find it odd that I said that too. But we are going on a drama journey and we won't be leaving anytime soon. I just hope Jem comes and saves me before I get too involved in it.

Au where everyone meets in Among Us. It's chaos. Magnus and Alec hit it off in the lobby and Magnus calls an emergency meeting to hit on Alec. Everyone votes Jace out for complaining about it. In fact he gets voted off every round but won't take a hint and leave. Memes are thrown about everywhere, Maia and Raphael become the imposter team from hell, Izzy swears to avenge her brother even though she killed him etc. they play for hours then (excluding Jace) exchange info and whatnot.

that is such a fun idea omg and now that u mention it im surprised that this hasn’t become a thing yet (or well maybe it has idk but i’m unaware) 

important things to consider

magnus and alec pretty much spend the whole discussion time flirting and they defend each other fiercely when other people accuse them. up until one of them is the impostor and kills the other and ALL HELL breaks loose because they are sUCH competitive mfs so quickly it becomes a game of who can fuck the other up the most, while still flirting. every time one of them is impostor and the other isn’t the other is first to die. otherwise they keep accusing each other every round. “it’s alec” “magnus everyone saw him scan” “TRUST ME” 

simon is actually pretty good at the game but for the first few rounds he can’t manage to say anything even tho he correctly figures out who the impostors are because he can’t be succint and they run out of voting time before he can finish his explanation on who they should vote and why

eventually everyone figures out that if magnus or alec are the first to die, the other is the impostor, so they start trying to frame each other instead

when neither of them is impostor, they compete to see who can find out who they are first. accusations are thrown around wildly. no one is to be trusted

when both of them are impostor, they compete to see who gets the highest body count. inevitably they lose within the first two seconds because they keep being hasty and getting caught

jace always gets voted off first and when he actually IS the impostor everyone cheers

one time someone kills jace right when the game begins and everyone pretends they haven’t seen it and his body is in the cafeteria for minutes until someone else is found

maia and raphael are absolutely the impostor team from hell. they are very good at dissimulating and just like, can keep an absolute straight face as they LIE THROUGH THEIR TEETH, and not only that but they love teasing, they will be like “oh no simon died? i just saw him in storage but i was headed the other direction :/” (they killed simon). they are the most likely duo to win

simon as an impostor either wins or gets voted off the first round there’s no in between

when both magnus and alec are dead the ghost chat becomes IMPOSSIBLE. they have nothing to compete over so it’s just back to constant over the top ridiculous flirting

actually he finds a way to turn every task he has into a dirty joke somehow and raphael wants Instant Death, alec is very charmed even if it’s ridiculous

Alec opens his mouth, trying to raise his voice enough to go over the racket of everyone in the room yelling at the same time, but he fails to utter a single word. He wants to clasp his hand over his ears and curl up into a ball – or better, run away to a quiet corner. The Institute’s chapel sounds like heaven right now. But he’s in the middle of a Cabinet meeting and he simply can’t afford it.

Instead, he stands up brutally, his chair screeching on the stone floor. The noise dies down immediately. He feels their stares on him, heavy and expectant. He tries to speak again, but his throat feels constricted, tears rising to his eyes. He blinks them away before they can show on the outside and clasps his hands behind his back tightly, digging his nails into his palm.

He knows how he must look, towering over them mutely, his gaze firmly on the table. He can’t think straight enough to change it. His head is ringing and he can’t make his words work. He hates this, but he can’t even move to flee.

“Let’s adjourn this meeting,” Magnus says, his voice low but authoritative. He makes a simple gesture, and everyone else nods. They file out quickly, with no more than a glance at Alec, who doesn’t move. They understand.

Somehow, they understand.

It should be the height of irony that Alec feels safer here, surrounded by Downworlders – Maia and Bat, Raphael and Simon, Magnus and Catarina, the entirety of the current Cabinet excluding Izzy who is in Idris on a mission – than he could ever feel in a meeting with the Clave. He dreads finding himself like this in front of the Consul or the new Inquisitor one day, unable to speak or make his body obey his commands. He doubts they would look kindly on him.

Magnus comes closer, staying carefully within Alec’s field of vision. He reaches out with one hand, but doesn’t touch Alec.

“It’s just us,” he says. “Do you want to stay here or go home?”

Alec rolls back on his heels. He wants to...he doesn’t know. He can barely keep his thought process focused for long enough to figure out the implications of either options, and more importantly, he can’t decide. Choosing is beyond him. He shakes his head with something that sounds too much like a whimper to his ears.

“Do you want me to decide?” Magnus asks.

Alec nods, his hands still clenched behind his back. He knows – they’ve discussed this before – that Magnus is doing his best to help while still giving him the ability to decide for himself, and he’s usually thankful for that, but right now it’s just frustrating. He’s stuck, and he doesn’t want to move, to change, but it’s the only way it’s going to get better.

Magnus has opened a portal in the few seconds it takes Alec to parse this. “Go on through, Alexander,” he says, and it’s what gets Alec in motion. He finally manages to unclench his hands as he steps through, gritting his teeth against the sensation of being sucked through – he hates it, but it’s over very fast, and a sense of calmness falls over him as soon as he’s back in the loft.

He finds himself facing the bay windows, but the curtains are drawn, so the light only hurts his eyes a little. The quiet makes him realize how taxing the constant buzz of noise is at the Institute, even when he’s not in the middle of a screaming match between disagreeing Downworlders.

Magnus deftly avoids running into him when he comes behind him, even though Alec has stopped right out of the portal without thinking. “Home sweet home,” he murmurs. “Can I touch you?”

Alec shakes his head immediately, hoping that Magnus won’t take it personally. His own clothes itch and burn his skin right now, distorting his perception of his own body.

“Alright,” Magnus says without changing his tone. “We can get you to the bedroom to rest for a bit. Does that sound good?”

Alec nods, more to Magnus’ tone than the content of his question. He trusts Magnus. He trusts Magnus more than he trusts himself, especially right now.

“Come with me, Alexander,” Magnus coaxes. “Bedroom.”

Alec struggles to make his brain process it, then to get his body moving past the petrifying exhaustion. He rocks on his heels a few times, his hands hitting each other almost beyond his will, knuckles against palm, hard. The pain sends a small jolt through his body.

Magnus flinches a little, but doesn’t try to stop him. “Come with me,” he repeats softly.

Alec walks behind him, stiffly, feeling like his body doesn’t really belong to him, like he doesn’t know how to move his lanky legs fluidly. He hits his shoulder on the doorframe, hard enough for the pain to register in some part of his mind. Magnus makes an aborted motion to reach out, but Alec flinches back against his will.

“Here,” Magnus murmurs. “You need to take off your shoes. Unless you’re ready to let me do it.”

Alec closes his eyes tightly, until he sees stars, and makes a hand motion he hopes Magnus will understand.

“By magic? I can do that. Your clothes too? You’ll be more comfortable in sweats.”

Alec nods, still standing too straight by the bed. Magnus makes a deliberately wide gesture with his hand, and both of their outfits change at the same time, Magnus into one of his workout outfits and Alec into the sweats he usually sleeps in. They’re both barefoot, and Alec flexes his toes, relishing and mourning the loss of his shoes at the same time.

Magnus lifts the covers on Alec’s side of the bed as Alec tries not to squirm inside the new clothes. The sweats are worn and soft, but the change is jarring all the same. He shudders and hits his fists together a few times to get rid of the crawling feeling.

“You can lie down,” Magnus says, taking a step back.

As soon as Alec’s knees hit the bed, he folds in on himself, melting into the mattress like a puppet whose strings have been removed. Magnus pulls the covers back on his body, deftly avoiding touching him, and adds Alec’s weighted blanket on top. Alec sighs in contentment as the weight settles over him, turning him into a puddle. His world shrinks until it’s bearable again, his skin no longer two sizes too small for his body.

Magnus gets under the covers on his side, sometime in the seconds – minutes? – it takes Alec to settle down. Alec doesn’t bother trying to track his movement, trusting him not to do anything painful. “Better?” Magnus murmurs, lower than he usually would, his hands inches from Alec’s face but not touching.

They’re both lying on their sides, facing each other, Alec curled up in a ball and Magnus stretched out. Alec nods and even manages a hum.

“Come here,” Magnus murmurs, scouting a little closer. “You’re trembling.”

Alec’s eyes sluggishly find his hands and he realizes that Magnus is right. He’s shaking. He’s cold – no, not cold exactly, but the tension seeping out of his body leaves him off-balance, unable to self-regulate. His teeth are shattering.

“Do you think you can handle me if I squeeze hard?” Magnus asks.

Alec thinks about it. It takes him too long, he knows that, but Magnus is patient. He waits without moving, expectant but not pressing.

Maybe, Alec tries to convey with a half-nod.

He braces himself. For a fraction of a second, as Magnus closes his hand around his, he feels like he might explode, but Magnus squeezes almost hard enough to hurt, and the pressure helps. Alec almost unconsciously pulls Magnus closer, wanting more of his warmth and his weight. “You want me to lie on you?” Magnus asks, not resisting.

Alec nods, since that’s what his body is clearly craving. They’ve done this before, and it’s a little hit-or-miss, but Alec has come to love it. Magnus is careful not to graze him as he climbs on top of him, deliberately digging his knees and elbows into Alec’s skin. It hurts, but in a way that appeases the urge to hit his hands or his head on something.

Alec does his best to avoid hurting Magnus himself by touching him, but his control is poor and Magnus gently replaces his hands a couple of times before they’re both comfortable. Alec melts under the pressure on his whole body, Magnus’ head tucked under his chin, his soft breathing giving him a rhythm to follow.

He should feel trapped, unable to move as he is, but he doesn’t. He feels...loved. Cared for. Magnus understands him without words. He’s the one person who doesn’t make him feel embarrassed when he shuts down like this, who just calmly and unquestioningly helps.

When he feels settled enough, Alec removes one hand from Magnus’ grasp and signs T-Y, as Magnus is not in a position to see the regular thank you sign. Magnus nods against his chest. “You’re welcome, Alexander,” he says quietly. “Want me to get off you?”

Alec shakes his head, his chin brushing against Magnus’ gelled hair. It tickles, and he lets out a small laugh, his free hand fluttering at his side.

“I’m staying right here, then,” Magnus says, a smile in his voice.

Alec closes his eyes, exhausted but feeling grounded. They both fall asleep within minutes, even though it’s the middle of the day.

Chapter one: normal days.

New York is a city field of all kinds of people. going from place to place leaving their lives. What everyday people did not know is that there small little world was all fake. For underneath all the coffee dates and business. There is a world of darkness a Shadow world.

In this world, we have guardians called Shadowhunters or “police for Downworlders”. They are humans that have angel blood. The angel blood allows them to use rune to enhance their already heightened natural abilities to battle rouge downworlders or demons.

Jace Lightwood Herondale is one of these guardians. He is a tail man with saggy blind hear and golden eyes his body was covered in black marks and a long sword was griped in his right hand. His eyes were locked on a huge wolf that’s stands in front of him. “Torrent don’t make me do this.” Jace pleads throw his teeth. The wild wolf Just snorts and lunges at Jace.

Jace quickly doges to the side. So fast no mondane could of seen him. The wolf slide on the wet grass of Central Park. It turns and finds Jace right in front if it’s face. Jace brings his sword down quickly and blood shouts out from the wolf’s head and now a human ear lays on the grass. “Torrent you have broken the law and if you continue to hunt Mondanes I will be forst to kill you.” Jace grips his sword handle ready for another attack.

“Torrent he will do it” says a girl voice. Jace smirks as a black girl walks up behind him. “It's about time you got here Maia.” Jace says as his body losses.

“Sorry the pack was on a hunt last night. I did not get your note tell today.” Maia replies. Maia Roberts was the leader of the New York wolf pack. She was a slender girl with curly black hair. She did have a aura of leadership to her. “Did you have to cut his ear off?” She asks.

“It was a ear or his life. I think the ear was a batter idea.” Jace snickers. Slow the huge wolf turned back into a teen boy with his left ear cut off.

“I will kill you shadowhunter!” Torrent snapped. Maia looks at Torrent with a stern look and he drops his head in somishen.

“Lisson cub and lisson good you got a chose to make. Join my pack and deal with the punishment I give you or.” Maia says

“Or I kill you for breaking the Law” Jace smirks. Torrent looked form Maia and Jace then charged at them full speed his transformation beginning. Maia was way more skilled and was able to change in to her wolf form in a split second and attacked Torrent her jaws biting down on his throat. Jace sheaths his sword and shakes his head in disapment. There is a loud snapping sound and Torrents human body falls to the grass. Maia turns back to normal spitting out blood. “I really don’t like having to do that.” She spits out angrily.

“I know Maia but he left us no choose. If he head not joined your pack the clave would of sent the order to kill him. He murdered four Mondanes.” Jace stats laying a hand on Maia shoulder.

“I know but it still sucks. We will deal with the body. He is of are kind after all. A child of the moon.” Maia gives a wisale and two very big men come out of the tree line and pick up the body. One slow picks up the ear and holds it out with two fingers. They nodded at Maia and walk off. “Say where is Clary and the others?” Maia asked looking around.

“Clary is with her mom and Luke getting them saddled in at the academy. Alec and Magnus are off somewhere with the boys. Ask for Izzy and Simon there still on their honeymoon.” Jace says with a black face.

“Man how long they going to be in Israel?” Maia retorts. Jace just shrugs. The two walk over to the street where his Motorcycle sits. “You have a Vampire bike?” She asks.

Jace smirks and looks at his bike with admiration. “Yep the Vamp clan made it for me after that event with the ogre attack on the hotels dumort.” He responds with joy. Maia just shakes her head and start off for the subway. “See ya later blondy” she waves. “Later fle bags,” Jace chuckles and jumps on his bike and speeds off.

In Manhattan live Magnus and Alec. In side there home kayus is happening. Max a blue skinned worlock child is running after a young black haired shadowhunter child named Raphael. “Daddy help!!!” Raphael says running into the kitchen and ducking be hind Alec’s leg.

“Wow wow wow what’s going on?” Alec asks looking at his boys.

“Dad he broke my Harry Potter wand.” Max says holding up two pieces of a toy wand.

“I didn't mean to I was just practicing my dagger throws Ankle Jace showed me.” Raphael cry’s.

Alec lets out a heavy sigh. “Where's papa?”

“He was in the study last we saw him.” Max says glaring at his younger brother. Raphael head more behind Alec.

“Ok Max we will get you a new wand and Raphael no more knife throwing in bedrooms.” Alec takes the wand from Max and then rifles both his boys hair. “Go play with Chairman Meow for a bit boys.” The two kids hug their Dad and runoff and a few scents later there is the sound of a cat crying out in tirrer. “I side play not kill!”

Alec walks in to the studies to see his Husband setting behind his disk. Magnus is a strap dresser and has his very own still. However today Magnus was dressed in a old gray sweater and black sweats. His black hair was tasseled like he head been holding his hands in his hair. Alec cross the room so quiet and light. He kisses his Husbands cheek. Slow Magnus looks up and smiles.

“Hey there my handsome man.” Magnus says and is cut off by Alec kissing his lips.

“You ok Magnus? You look like you seen a ghosts?” Alec inquirers.

“Oh yes fine fine it’s just a letter from someone wanting my sirves.” Magnus explains shifting the latter he was reading under some other papers. Alec looks unaffected. “Well I need to go in to town Max wand is broken and we need milk.” Alec says and heads for the door. “The boys are playing with the cat.” Alec says and opens the steady door. Chairman mew came running into the room and hides under Magnus disk. “Playing?” Magnus says raising his left eyebrow. Alec shrugs and walks out of the office.

A week later Jace sits in the library. Behind a large oak desk with angels holding up each end. On the desk papers are everywhere. Some in piles others just scattered around the desk. A few are all crumpled up in balls. A young 20 year old girl with fire red hair walks in to the Library and over to Jace and kisses his cheek. “Hello hottie.”

“Hey there Clary.” Jace says smiling up at the girl.

“They are all in the main yard and the others will be here soon.” Clary says smiling. Jace hangs his head down

“Man why are we doing this again?” He asks

“Because we are a institute and the clave wants us to and I love to see you tell the Console no” Clary responds pulling Jace to his feet. The two walk out of the library and head down to the front of the Institute.

In the main yard stands three other people. Two guys and a girl. One of the men is Alec Lightwood. The other guy is kind of scrawny compared to Jace and Alec his hair was plain brown and it was ruffled. He was wearing black jeans and a black T-shirt with the words the mortal instruments on the front. This was Simon Lovelace. Standing next to Simon was a girl with long black hair she was in a short black skirt that come to just above her knees and a black string tank top with a black leather jacket. This was Isabelle Lightwood.

“Magnus gone to get them?” Clary asks walking up holding on to Jace arms. Alec just nods.

“We’re are the boys?” Isabella asks.

“With mom” Alec answers.

“You guys get moved in?” Clary inquiries looking at Simon and Isabelle.

“Yes we did thanks for that huge room.” Isabelle smiles.

“It was the farthest from our room I don’t want to hear you newlyweds all night.” Jace snickers.

“Oh ya like we had to deal with the two of you.” Simon retorts. Jace was not able to use a come back because a blue portal opens up.

Magnus Bane walks out of it smiling. “Right this way kiddos.”

Out of the portal rolls a young man with brown hair and a average build . After him tumbled a girl with poofy brown hair and a slender body. Once that girl was out of the way a younger boy with black hair shaved down to the skull and was a skinny toothpick came flying out Superman style and finally a small girl with long reddish brown hair down to her butt and a slim build walked out like any other normal ShadowHunter would.

“On your feet and line up!” Jace shouts and the four teens scramble to their feet and line up shoulder to shoulder. “Ok newbies I am going to only say this once and if you don’t get it to bad. I am Jace Lightwood Herondale and this is Clary Fray Fairchild.” Jace says and points to Clary who gives a light wave. “We run this place. You will be sent on missions by us. Simon will be your physical trainer and Izzy will be your weapons master.” He adds and then points to Simon and Isabelle. “Most of your are from the dregs class and one is from the elite class. The one that is form the elite class you go nowhere in this city without one of us! Now I want your names and were you lived before here.” He finishes.

The tallest teen steps forward and with a very british accent says. “Mekyle form London.”

Next is the girl with puffy hair. “Angelique form Texas.”

Then the Superman diver steps forward.

“Xander from Queens, New York.”

And last the small redhead skipped up and seemed to be jumping out of her skin. “I am Ruthie from Europe and can I just say I am so honored to be here working with legends.”

“Hold up this is one of the group of Shadowhunters. You been fangirling over?” Angelique asks looking down the line at the jittery Ruthie.

“Yes this is the shadowhunter that ended not only the mortal war but the Dark war also.” Ruthie adds bouncing on her heels.

“Then that means your Headmistress Jocelyn’s kid?” Xander chimes in looking at Clary. Clary just smiles and nods.

“Guys I need to get going to the meeting with Maya and Lily” Alec says.

“No way the leaders of the Vampire and lycan clans!” Angelique squeals in excitement.

“Umm ya” Alec says a little shocked.

“Don’t mind her. Her focus of study was Downworlders and politics.” Xander says.

“Welp maybe next time you can tag along.” Alec smiles and grabs Magnus hand and turns to walk away.

“Ok Newbie head inside and find your own room.” Jace says. All the teens nod pick up their bags and head into the Institute. “This is going to be a pain.” Jace says after all the teens were in the building.

“Alexander, I know you said you wanted a quiet night, but I thought you would at least be here,” Magnus groaned into the phone, trying not to let his displeasure be too obvious in his voice.

He had spent enough New Year’s Eves alone to concede to however Alec had wanted to celebrate, even if that meant staying at their loft in Idris, a place where time really had no meaning, and just being together. He had already received multiple messages from his friends who had spent the evening at lavish parties or creating elaborate firework displays for the mundanes who found the bursts of color and noise exciting. Magnus didn’t mind that he was going to ring in another new year with Alec at home, but it would have been nice for his husband to actually show up.

Alec sighed heavily and said, “I know and I promise I’ll be there before midnight.” Magnus glanced down at his phone and saw that there were only 30 minutes until the end of the year and his heart clenched in fear that Alec wouldn’t make it on time. Alec was not one to wrap up his work until it was finished and a half-hour didn’t seem like nearly enough time.

“If I don’t get to kiss my husband at the stroke of midnight, I’m leaving him,” Magnus decided. Alec’s bright laughter chimed through the phone and it was beautiful music to Magnus’ ears.

Magnus glanced down at his home screen, a smile curling on his lips when he saw himself and Alec at the Lightwood Christmas party Maryse had thrown a few weeks earlier. Alec had worn the most ridiculous sweater Magnus had ever seen but Magnus was smiling at him like Alec was the light of his life. Magnus could never deny that was exactly right.

So he waited. He passed the time by pouring an incredibly strong cosmopolitan - he wasn’t going anywhere so he could drink as irresponsibly as he wanted - and turning on the television to watch the mildly entertaining New Year’s Eve special the mundanes were so fond of. He told himself to trust that Alec would be on time, but 20 minutes had gone by without so much as a text message. He wasn’t trying to let his disappointment get the best of him, but as he heard the clock on the wall ticking, his heart beat a little faster.

When he heard the key in the front door, he jolted up and a large grin spread across his face. He should have known better than to doubt his husband.

“Magnus? You here?” Alec called before Magnus entered the entryway.

“Where else would I be, my darling?” Magnus called back as he sauntered toward Alec and rested his hands on his shoulders. He leaned in for a welcome kiss, but Alec put a hand to his chest and backed away, raising his eyebrows as if Magnus had offended him with his affection.

“We’ve still got 5 minutes!” Alec complained and Magnus just rolled his eyes.

“I can’t kiss my husband before this dreaded year is over?” Magnus asked with a dramatic wave of his hand. They deserved for the year to be over and if Magnus had any say in the matter, he would have erased he and Alec’s memory of it altogether. They hadn’t spent nearly enough time together with their new roles in the Shadow World taking over every aspect of their life, and if Magnus wanted to kiss his husband after a long year of limited affection, he would kiss his husband, dammit!

Magnus leaned forward again, hoping to catch Alec off guard, but was met with another push to his chest and rich laughter filling the air. Magnus crossed his arms over his chest and said, “Seriously, Alexander?”

“I promise you it’ll be worth it!” Alec responded with a wink. He glanced over Magnus as if inspecting him and tilted his head in clear judgment. “You can’t wear that to ring in a new year, babe,” Alec noted and Magnus gaped at him.

“Oh, I can’t? What’s wrong with your favorite silken robe with nothing underneath?” Magnus teased with a coy wiggle of his eyebrows. “Maybe we can both welcome the birth of the new year just as we came into this world, hmm?”

Alec grinned at him and moved to kiss him, but at the last second, he veered and yelled, “Stop distracting me! We’ve only got three minutes!” Alec grabbed his hand and brought them into the living room, swirling his hands wildly at the wall. “Come on!”

“Alexander, what is the angel’s name are you doing? Is that supposed to be me?” Alec glanced at the clock and did the motion again.

“Yes, it’s you! Just--” he sighed and grabbed onto Magnus’ hand, “--create a portal and trust me?” Magnus didn’t need to be asked twice. He conjured a portal with the hand that wasn’t laced with Alec’s and glared at his husband as best he could. Before he could ask what all of it was about, Alec pulled them through the portal, and his ears were met with a screaming countdown.

“10… 9… 8…” Cheerful voices filled the air and Magnus’ glare turned into one of shock when he saw the entire Lightwood family and all of their friends crowded together in the middle of his loft in New York.

“Alexander, what is this?” Magnus asked as Isabelle thrust a champagne glass into his hand.

“It’s about time! You almost missed it!” Jace shouted from where he had his arms thrown around Clary and Simon. Isabelle fit snugly between her brother and Simon, handing them their own glasses of champagne before slipping her arms around their waists.

“7… 6… 5…” Alec wrapped his arm around Magnus’ shoulder and moved them closer to where Raphael and Maia spread out on their respective chairs.

“I can’t believe--”

“It’s like you don’t trust me at all,” Alec scoffed, turning toward Magnus as the countdown continued. “You make so many sacrifices for me, I figured it was my turn to surprise you in return.” Magnus’ gazed up at Alec with so much love in his heart and a feeling of luck that he still hadn’t quite gotten used to. Alec cupped his cheek in his hand and rested their foreheads together.

“4… 3… 2…”

“Cheers to a year of sacrifices, surprises, and our wonderful marriage, Magnus,” Alec whispered before finally connecting his lips to Magnus’ just a second before the year ended. Magnus wanted to tease him for it, but the kiss was so full of love and devotion, he couldn’t find it in himself to care. His arms wrapped around Alec’s waist, gripping the fabric of his jacket tightly to pull him closer, and he kissed back with as much passion as their first kiss contained. Every kiss - every moment - with Alec was just as sweet as the last and Magnus was lost in the feeling of his husband, his forever.

“Happy New Year!” His friends cheered as loud music and noisemakers blasted through the loft and confetti floated down around them. When he pulled away, Alec was smiling brightly, his lips covered in Magnus’ lipstick and his eyes full of laughter and happiness.

“Happy New Year, Magnus,” Alec shouted as he pressed a firm kiss to Magnus’ forehead. Izzy and Clary moved underneath each of Alec’s arms as Jace threw his over Magnus’ shoulders. They were singing loudly and incredibly off-key to their own horrible rendition of Frank Sinatra but Magnus couldn’t care less. He was surrounded by his found family and the love of his life and it was more than he could have ever asked for that year and every year to come.

“Quiet night in, huh?” Magnus teased as he wiped his smudged lipstick from Alec’s mouth, grinning at the joy that filled Alec’s face. His eyes were crinkled, his teeth were bright, and his cheeks were just a little flushed and Magnus thought he was the most beautiful man on the planet when he was happy.

Alec winked at Magnus and said, “With the Lightwood-Banes? Never.”

i think the point i’m making is obvious: the 3 white showrunners and mostly white writers almost never ever let magnus even talk to any of the other main characters. (he also goes three seasons without a single story arc with another main that lasts more than 1 episode. (no, the writers using luke as a mouthpiece to justify alec’s mistake in 2b does not count.) you know, like how alec had big long arcs with both clary and jace in s1, 2a, and 3a and izzy here and there. even maia, the most neglected character on this show, still got to regularly interact with simon and luke- 2 mains. even luke with his limited screentime, still got to regularly at least talk to literally all of the mains in all his group scenes.

and what about the 3 downworlder mains and alec?

well, altho alec and maia only had 2 scenes together, that’s still twice what magnus/ maia got, seeing as they only had the 1 scene together in 2a.

alec and luke had at least 3 scenes together in s1 that i can remember vs magnus/ luke only having 2 lines in 1x06. both duos had about equal in 2b.

in 3a alec/luke had 5 scenes together. magnus/ luke had none where they actually spoke to each other. in group scenes magnus only talked to alec.

in 3b alec/ luke had 3 scenes. magnus/ luke had none. plus luke told alec that he couldn’t go to his wedding, instead of telling magnus.

in s1 magnus/ simon had maybe 1 line. alec/ simon were interacting constantly throughout, i don’t remember how many scenes it was.

in 2a magnus/ simon had 2 episodes together. in 2b they had 1 scene but i don’t really count it since it was only to have it be literally everyone vs magnus. alec/ simon had 1 scene in 2b and none in 2a.

in 3a alec/ simon had 3 scenes interacting together. magnus/ simon had none where they actually spoke to each other.

in 3b all the fans complaining really paid off! 2 scenes in 3x15. 1 scene each in 3x17, 3x19, 3x20, and 3x21 for a grand total of 6 scenes. plus no talking- yet still in a scene together- in 1 other scene in 3x15, 3x17, 3x18, and 2 others in 3x19, for a grand total of 5, not counting the edom finale scenes. magnus/ simon only said 2 lines to each other in 3b.

not to mention alec stood next to simon in a nice two-shot in 4 separate scenes. it really reminded me of what they do with clary/ alec in group scenes. the writers don’t always give them a lot of dialogue together, but they’re sure to get that dynamic in at least visually. alec always has at least crumbs vs magnus getting nothing. where is that energy from the writers, directors, or fans with magnus and literally any main? really, where is it?

i mean, there was no reason for alec/ simon not to have scenes, but i’m so truly disappointed that this is where the fan effort was spent instead of lobbying for magnus to get to interact with even one main character other than alec, seeing as alec always already get to constantly have many, many, many duo and group scenes and big arcs with the 3 other shadowhunters. and now he gets to be more bonded with all of the main downworlders too instead of magnus with his own people. the writers are so so so wack.

also obviously magnus interacts with alec on a regular basis. the point is that’s it. malec is the main reason why i watch the show, so it matters a great deal, but when every other main is getting vastly more interactions, it’s a problem. also in nearly all of the episodes when alec has scenes with other mains- and magnus is not there- magnus is not mentioned. not so when it’s vice versa.

why not count any supporting characters you may be saying? because that’s not what i hear everyone demanding for alec or the others, is it? because he didn’t interact with raphael, his supposed son, in s1, or at all after 3x01 to the actual finale. because aside from her bringing madzie over in 3x11, catatrina and and him didn’t speak in 3b. she wasn’t even introduced until 3a (so 2 seasons w/o any friends.) they only spoke in 4 scenes total in all of s3. she was his best man, yet that’s not important enough to show on screen. ragnor was literally only 1 episode. who’s left- his jealous, bitter pathetic rival or his father who has obvious gross, creepy incestuous, jealous feelings for him. or alec’s mother, who only had scenes with him for the same reason maia/ jordan had all those scenes- to give them something to do away from the group/ main plotlines. why couldn’t magnus and maia had scenes together also or instead? and being bffs with his bf’s mom but not getting to even TALK to his parabatai, the person alec’s closest to platonically, let alone be friends, is truly beyond words. and also harry and matt are only 5 years apart (kat/ dom have more of an age difference) so i’m tired of the writers/ fans keeping alec in the playpen with his younger co-stars while magnus is separated to only older ones.

and also i just really don’t care about supporting characters. i see them as just taking screentime away from the mains, specifically the downworlder mains, who are already running on limited time. look at 3x13 when they want to do a whole heidi arc, who gets cut- magnus. or in 3x17 when they want to introduce helen and aline, i resented them right off the bat for getting twice as much screentime than magnus, a main character, in that important episode for him. throughout the whole show, whenever supporting characters are getting screentime, it always means magnus, maia, and luke are not. that’s not good.

some final thoughts, nearly every single malec fan spent the entire 9 month hiatus from 3a to 3b relentlessly saying alec needs interactions. as if he didn’t get huge bonding arcs with clary and jace in s1 and 2a and 3a. as if he doesn’t talk to and go places and do things with clary, jace, and izzy nearly every single episode, every single season since the beginning. mighty handy to not count the 3 of them when you want to cry “alec has no friends” every single day, as if he hasn’t had an enemy to friendship arc with clary 3 times in 3 seasons. as if he hasn’t had a dying, can’t live without you arc with jace 3 times in 3 seasons. as if he doesn’t hug jace twice more than magnus per half season. as if he doesn’t have izzy there to lean on and talk to. funny how siblings don’t count as friends when it’s mighty convenient that’s they’re the only mains to have siblings. i would kill, KILL, for magnus to be even talk to jace and izzy let alone be real friends, yet fans are taking their friendships with alec for granted, while simultaneously saying they’re robbed of the parabatai dynamic. that’s rich.

if alec having scenes every other ep, and melodramatic arcs every other half season, wasn’t such a guarantee the fans have learned they could count on, nobody would say that his siblings and clary don’t count. but everyone knew they could say that because we know it wouldn’t be taken away. i mean, look at the stark siblings in game of thrones. they never interacted, and the entire fandom cried about that being the most important friendships to show, but it wasn’t shown. this fandom needs to put things in perspective and stop taking the lightwoods sibs and the shadowhunters squad dyamic for granted and realize that magnus and maia don’t get even a minuscule fraction of that. also want to add that simon got plenty of constant sturdy dynamics too, with clary, jace, luke, maia, and izzy. and fans got their alec/ simon content and yet still so ungrateful. i beg the malecs to compare what magnus gets before complaining.

MAGICAL PRINCE MAGNUS AHHHHHHHH okay so obviously prince magnus>>>> because the aesthetic of prince magnus in fancy clothes, with an intricate crown and beautiful jewellery!!! also it means we can get courtship! and political intrigue! he still has magic because i say so!! also because magnus is so perfect he’d be the type of prince with a great relationship with his people so we’d get magnus being the sweetheart he is! also prince magnus overthrowing his father, the tyrannical king asmodeus????? UGH PERFECTION!!!!!! also i’d like to think that after asmodeus is overthrown, magnus still is not yet of age to be crowned king so ragnor (his older cousin, and no dont ask how they’re related) is the regent but really magnus has a lot of input in the ruling and ragnor is there as more of a formality and an advisor to magnus? cat, raphael, and dot are also members of the royal court and are magnus’ closest advisors and they have their own little family you know? also magnus’ mom died of a sickness when magnus was young and it was tragic and he was really broken by it because he loved his mother so much. so asmodeus tries to raise magnus to be the perfect weapon but thanks to his heart of gold and his found family, he doesn’t become the monster his father says he is. he wants to lead his kingdom to greatness, and do his best to help his people recover from asmodeus’ rule and move forward. 

WARRIOR PRINCE ALEC HELL YEAH so with alec i like the idea of him being the crown prince of a neighbouring kingdom and he and magnus meet and it’s like Instant Sparks and they fall in love at first sight, as they tend to do, and it’s amazing. alec would be the prince who has a reputation of being stoic and cold and closed off but he’s just under the weight of all the expectations you know? plus i feel like his kingdom would be a kingdom of warriors and so he’s also excellent in combat and gets a reputation as an amazing archer and strategist. and it’s hard to please the lightwood parents who are forever comparing alec to jace and belittling him, and it’s tough but he does it for izzy and max, so they don’t take the pain. (alec lightwood is the best big brother ever). and he’s got all these ideas to open up idris and form proper alliances with the neighbouring kingdoms, to unify and bring peace to his people.  

FANCY ROYAL BALL FOR LIKE SOMEONE’S ENGAGEMENT IDK IT’S NOT RELEVANT BUT THAT IS WHERE MALEC MEET it’s the 18th birthday of idk clary who’s a princess of some other kingdom idk it’s not relevant the exact occasion and the only thing that matter is this is where all the romance get set up! so it’s a big diplomatic thing and the leader and/or their heirs are expected to attend and magnus goes to represent edom with the immortal squad, and alec is there with izzy (and jace but they just ignore him after he runs after some poor girl to dance wth her). alec exchanges pleasantries with a few of the other guests but he’s not really there for gossip, trying to discuss alliances and trade agreements. magnus is asked to dance by many suitors, but he’s not looking to start a relationship nor to fuel the rumour mill so he politely declines and carries on mingling and soon enough the two princes meet and it’s like magic. magnus makes a terribly cheesy pun in response to a stranger at the bar’s sarcastic retort at some pompous duke and oh no he’s hot!!!! they both smile and introduce themselves with a distinct lack of effortless flair for magnus, or the calm composure typical of alec. they get to talking and it’s easy to see that neither of them have experienced this kind or ease and comforting familiarity when talking to someone outside of their inner circles. 

whilst magnus and alec are falling in love over the course of a conversation, there is some hilarious shenanigans as maia, raphael, meliorn, and simon find themselves tangled in a love quadrangle as they all feel so drawn to one another, taking turns to dance with one another before retreating to their friend groups to be like “they are all so beautiful and sweet and kind please help!!!!” and so ensues one of the most elaborate slow burn romances the royal courts have seen in ages (the betting pool is also exceptionally large and is won by meliorn who with raphael, started more than half the rumours in order to stir the pot and collect the winnings and spoil their partners). 

so anyway back to malec, they talk and have a few drinks and all is well and good and still pretty calm until alec picks up the way magnus is swaying to the music and tapping his feet to the beat, so alec asks magnus to dance and leads him to the dancefloor where they dance the night away, alec more than happy to twirl magnus around the dancefloor and make him giggle and blush, showing him off to everyone else. realising that they’ve attracted quite a fair bit of attention, they decide to steal away to an empty garden and continue dancing in the moonlight, the night is pure and utter perfection, and they part somewhat reluctantly, wanting to spend more time with one another, but also eager for the next day where they have agree to spend the day together. alec steels himself to press a brief, sweet, chaste kiss to magnus’ cheek before leaving to escort a tired and tipsy isabelle back to their guest chambers. magnus is left blushing, hand pressed to his cheek where alec’s warm lips pressed a gentle kiss that gave him butterflies.

COURTSHIP!!!! i desperately need courtship rituals!! like alec sending magnus elaborate flower arrangements with sweet, affectionate messages in flower language, magnus sending alec charmed tokens like a simple necklace or leather bracelet that has protective and healing spells woven into it!! them sending love letter to one another! they spend a lot of time together at social events and at “diplomacy meetings” where yes, they do discuss trade and alliances and what not but also it’s an excuse for them to spend at least a week with one another in either kingdom and they go on picnic dates on palace grounds, sneak out of their rooms at night to stargaze, wander through towns and eat street food (and alec always buys magnus little gifts and tokens that remind him of his love) and they train together, teaching each other the fighting styles of their respective kingdoms, and yes, there is a gratuitous alec teaching magnus archery scene because im fucking weak!!! and alec likes to hang out in the royal apothecary in edom and watch magnus make a whole bunch of cool potions, invent spells, and write magical theory. magnus in turn, is very fond of going to the training sessions of idris’ elite warriors–the shadowhunters, to watch alec obliterate a whole bunch of soldiers at various combat skills. 

BATTLE COUPLE!!!!!! so they’re together for months and all is good but then valentine happens and has been getting his forces gathered during this whole thing and even before it (im just stupid and forgot to mention it sdkfvbabhvjabv) and anyway he attacks!! and the crown princes of idris and edom unite, together with the other young royals from the neighbouring kingdoms and their armies to defeat valentine. and the two of them are damn near impossible to beat, alec with his honed-from-birth warrior skills, and magnus with his proficiency in both magical and non-magical combat. and it goes well at first but then the tides turn and they have to split up and they part and it’s this moment of “i don’t know if we’ll survive this” and they almost go tosay i love you but then alec is like “i’ll tell you when we survive this, so please come back to me, and i’ll come back to you” and they’re both crying a little but they share one last kiss before separating.

the battle ends and they’re desperate to find each other, tearing through the battlefield to find their love. and they finally see each other and run into each other’s arms, both looking a little worse for wear, and they pull away from the embrace long enough for alec to blurt out “i love you” with so much conviction and surety that magnus subconsciously shakes his head, disbelieving that someone could love him of all people, before confessing his own love for alec. they kiss and it feels like relief and home and hope. 

IDK HOW TO DESCRIBE BUT THE THING WHERE THEY’RE A DISGUSTINGLY CUTE COUPLE AND THEY’RE BASICALLY ENGAGED BUT NOTHING OFFICIAL

so they recover from the battle and they mourn their fallen, celebrate their victories, and bring justice to the invaders. this young generation of leaders more or less formally ascends to power and usher in a new era of peace, collaboration, and unity (the fact that there are so many inter-kingdom royal romances certainly doesn’t hurt the alliance)

in this time of peace, cat and dot get married and adopt madzie, the polycule are living their best lives, and izzy gets together with clary. 

magnus and alec continue their courtship for a couple more years until they both turn of age to be crowned kings. alec plans an elaborate proposal that sweeps magnus off his feet and just a month after their respective coronations, they marry and their kingdoms are merged as one. and they all lived happily ever after

I’m so shocked! the dude who randomly showed up and saved Izzy and when a prince of hell appears is up to no good!!!!!! how could that be? (I hope everyone knows how sarcastic I’m being)

201. I was reading through the contents of this episode and people thought it was jace here and fuck I wish it was. I hoped so many times that Sebastian would kill him off for good. let the worthless fucker die already lmaooo

204. let’s wrap it up so what I like about this episode- Alec is finally in charge. I love seeing how confident he is and how much he wants to change everything up. it’s refreshing to see a shadowhunter leader who isn’t afraid of taking risks and actually wants to help downworlders.

Magnus- even though it surprises Magnus that Alec wants him there as a warlock, I love seeing their bond and watching them attempt to be professional. seeing Magnus start to talk about his trauma is beautiful to witness. Raphael and Magnus is 10/10. I love watching their father and son relationship. Alec and Magnus are top tier and my favorite part of this episode. there isn’t anything toxic about them and they are always growing. watching Magnus watch Alec in shadowhunter mode and how proud he is of Alec is everything. I just love how proud and supportive they are of one another

believe it or not- I do like the lightly flirty scenes with Simon and jace. I think if the writers were bold and brave enough to cut out clace and change it up, this relationship could have been interesting

also a big fan of Izzy and Raphael and sad they didn’t continue that. that also could have been interesting to develop

Maryse and her growth is wonderful to see. her growth could have started back on 2x08 and I slightly do agree but it feels it starts more now. her growth with Alec seems like it’s behind the scenes but it’s nice to see her bond with Izzy. a mother daughter relationship can be fragile and Maryse put so much pain and pressure on Izzy. it’s great to see that being addressed

205. what I don’t like- obviously the clace shit. that didn’t need to happen. all the incest book fans can go home for all I care. I don’t like how it’s developed. seelies are known for manipulating and twisting but when you see clary start to see jace more as she did in season one, the development itself doesn’t feel at its potential. they find out they aren’t related a couple episodes ago and they don’t bond but randomly now they share a kiss? I don’t see any chemistry with them. it’s not there.

I think what annoys me the most about this is that since jace found out he wasn’t related to Clary, it was basically open season for clary. like Alec said before you think you’ll get her just like that????? I do think that jace thinks clary would take him back within a second. he thinks because she kissed him at the court that she will dump Simon for him asap. I don’t mind cocky behavior but never on guys like jace. (Or will for any book fans) (honestly do book fans read my shit?) (I’d imagine they would stay clear of me lmao)

I feel for Simon the most here because he genuinely loves clary. but I really hate clary trying to rush Simon into talking and then almost being a hypocrite and telling jace no. you realize you need space from jace so think how Simon feels. I hate that jace is almost acting like they’ll get together asap. maybe clary does love Simon but I don’t believe she really loves him. as a friend? perhaps but not as a serious committed partner. they aren’t good together. Clary doesn’t understand Simon and almost their whole relationship is on clary’s terms and it’s about her. the only thing that finally wasn’t about clary was Simon refusing to give her his dna

I can’t stand romantic relationships where it’s not half and half. I don’t want to watch a relationship where its always based on one persons terms while the other has to settle. I feel like if she stayed with Simon longer or if it were maybe developed better, maybe clary could have gotten some development for her character. but what I think she really needs is to be alone and take time to process her grief and actually attempt to be a better person. the more she’s with Jace, the more she resorts to being selfish and toxic

also I know we should hate Sebastian but I love him. he is conniving but he’s also intelligent. I love absolutely love villains I can relate to. (TVD has the best villains) I need someone I can root for. and while yes he is evil, he was abandoned while jace got a better life. fuck I’d be mad too. I’m not saying I would turn into Sebastian but I can understand his reasonings. and Will Tudor is so handsome and pretty to look at. AND THAT ACCENT!!!!!!

Maia knocks on the door in front of her quietly at first, knowing there's a 50/50 chance there's a sleeping kid inside. When there's no answer, she knocks again, a little louder this time, stopping when she hears the shuffle of feet approaching from the other side.

"Again?" Catarina says with a sigh in lieu of a greeting at the sight of several unhealed wounds on Maia's arms and face. Even as she says it she steps aside to let Maia in without hesitation.

“I realize this is the fourth time I’ve shown up at your door needing to be patched up…" Maia admits. "Have you considered giving out discount cards?”

"Discount for what? You aren't even paying," Cat counters, but the tone of her voice is friendly, and teasing. "And you know I don't do this for just anyone."

"I certainly hope not," Maia gives Cat a knowing smirk as she makes herself at home on Catarina's sofa, wounds facing up for full transparency and easier access.

Maia can practically feel the heat that rises from Catarina's cheeks at that, followed quickly by the chill of cool blue magic settling over her injuries.

They aren't terrible anymore - that was earlier tonight when she had to break up a fight that showed no signs of stopping without intervention, leaving her to use all of her remaining energy to heal a couple broken bones over the surface cuts.

"Isn't there anything I can say to convince you to stop being so reckless?" Cat asks as the last of the open wounds seals itself shut.

"No," Maia admits. "But you could ask me to stay and keep me out of trouble the rest of tonight?"

It's said with an air of confident flirtation, but the end still lilts up, wondering if the answer might be no.

Catarina assesses Maia quickly before answering.

"You know you're always welcome here, Maia."

"Good," Maia says, fully relaxing for the first time since she arrived. For all her talk, she's suddenly exhausted. Catarina, with all her healing instincts, immediately senses the shift.

kit finally being able to sleep peacefully at night because ty is right there next to him. ty never has to worry about kit leaving again.

alec and magnus feeling safe leaving their kids with other people like maia or lily because finally, they know they can trust people. they’ve put meliorn and sebastian’s betrayals in the past, and put their family first.

clary knowing that jace is safe and is never leaving her; their wedding runes prove that raziel has no intention of taking his wish back. jace has no worries of being connected to him again, because his wedding rune has covered the spot where the binding rune used to be.

simon never has to worry about forgetting anything. izzy insists on taking pictures, videos, and doing anything to document everything they do. besides, they fell in love twice, so who’s to say it couldn’t happen a third time?

emma and julian are finally happy for the same reason. wedding runes would be blocked on parabatais, and they had no trouble. there’s no more danger.

tessa’s worries disappear after the silent brothers repeatedly confirm that jem is stable and will live out the rest of his life as an (inactive) shadowhunter.

mark finally feeling safe because diana made gwyn swear that he and the hunt would leave mark alone; it wasn’t hard to make him promise.

james is able to use his abilities to his advantage, without worry, because he knows that matthew is there to pull him out of it if he goes too far.

helen no longer fears the ocean, because her siblings help her slowly get over her anxiety and panic about it. as it turns out, she’s rather good at surfing.

julian still makes extra pancakes, but now they’re for other new family members. he watches with astonishment but fondness when aline and kit simultaneously drown their pancakes with syrup.

lily and ragnor becoming friends over their close bonds with raphael. they remember the happy memories they made with him, and know he would be glad that they’re both no longer alone.

when kit has an occasional drink, jem is able to stay calm because he knows his son is strong enough to control himself. they trust each other.

favorite male character: Alec Lightwood. I mean, he's (was) a sarcastic side character who also turned out to be gay. he's exactly my type. also, does Jem count? he was only in the show as Brother Zachariah, but I won't let that stop me. honoroable mentions: Meliorn, Raphael and show!Jonathan (love a good villain).

favorite female character: Isabelle Lightwood, love of my life, my sunshine on a rainy day, my moon and stars in a dark night, my one and only. I mean... I named one of my kittens after her. honorable mentions go to show!Clary, Lilith and show!Maryse's character development.

least favorite character: in the books I hated Clary and Luke, but the show made me love them, so... maybe Aldertree? idk... I never really liked Maia tbh. didn't like her in the books, she was.... okay in the show

prettiest character: *screams in bi* also I wanted to add separate gifs of them but this was one of the firsts and it's perfect, so...

(her whip?? his knife in the thigh holster?? the soft moment in that ☝️ gif? their training session????? *bi panic*)

funniest character: Simon. in the books I hated him, I almost threw CoLS across the room when it started with his POV, but in the show? he was perfect. even made me ship sizzy a little bit (although I'd give it all up for clizzy)

favorite season: whichever had Will Tudor. s2? I think. but s3 had Jem, so it's a tough choice. honestly, I liked the whole series. all seasons had different vibes and I liked how they mixed in the books, and not just TMI, but TID too.

favorite episode: it's been a while so I don't remember the details too well (yes this is an excuse to rewatch). This World Inverted aka the opposite world!AU was 👌. the one where Magnus and Valentine switched bodies. literally every episode with Will Tudor was fantastic (when he went full badass down on the prison level?? amazing). the second to last episode, with the alliences betwern Shadowhunters and Downworlders bc it was great and also the CoG reference. and the series finale, obviously.

favorite romantic ship: malec ever since I first read CoB and I loved them in the show as well. and the show made me ship clace too, which was unexpected. and I loved Izzy and Raphael, sue me. they could have been great if things were a little different.

favorite family ship: Luke and Clary, Izzy-Jace-Alec

favorite friendship: Alec and Lydia? I liked them. also Luke-Magnus-Raphael(-Meliorn?)

worst ship: Simon and Clary. I can't get over that...

Inside TMI Gang's diaries part 3 - 2/2 for CoG

Clary: Dear diary, so what can I say a lot has happened, me and Sebastian went to find Ragnor and instead found. Magnus, he pretended to be Ragnor. And Sebastian kissed me and it felt wrong, but also he took me to the place where the Fairchild manor use to be, he took me to a burned down manor, and everything felt wrong. Anyway me and Jace also made the Wayland Manor collapse and figured out my father was torturing am angel. Jace is also mad at me so yay.

*Later*

So um... Where do I begin, a lot has happened Idris was attacked, Max... Is dead and the Lightwoods are in pieces, Jace wrote me a love letter and ran off to go after Valentine and get himself killed most likely, Izzy I think probably still doesn't like me, my mom's back but I am mad at her, and she informed me that Jace isn't my brother and now all I can think about is how I want to tell him. Now we are preparing for the next battle so gotta make a rune brb.

So my father was trying to raise the angel to destroy all the Downworlders, right, so um he killed Jace and I kinda replaced his name in the sand with mine and I used the wish to bring Jace back but like what will people think, oh well, I'd do again if it meant to have him back, safe and alive, to get to love him and make him happy, though idk does he still want me? either way I'd do it again. Also I can't wait to get back to new york and get some COFFEE!, but also please don't let Jace not love me anymore.

Jace: Dear diary, you'll find me in a bad spot at this moment, things have fallen apart, Hodge is dead but I don't feel much for him, Max was killed and I can't help but blame myself, after all it is my fault. The manor where I grew up collapsed and while I knew it was my childhood home, it also felt freeing watching it all fall apart, like watching the bad memories in that place being crushed, like seeing that you can heal. But as I am watching Clary sleep, I know I won't get the chance to ever heal myself, I love her but will never have a future with her, and I have to go after my father and stop him, I know where my journey ends and I always knew it would never be a happy ending for me. So I'll write her a letter and leave with her, I'll tell her all my feelings and let her know what she means to me. I know Izzy and Alec will understand in time. And I probably won't be coming back.

So I died but was brought back, I also fought Clary's creepy brother and my father is dead, I feel empty in so many ways, apparently my actual parents were Stephen and Céline Herondale, which would mean Imogen was my grandmother, I don't know what people want me to say or do, I don't even know who I am anymore. Amatis gave me a box with stuff that belonged to my father in it, but I don't know this man, and I know nothing about my mother, I am sitting here looking through it but what am I supposed to feel? I am sitting here thinking about how Clary asked for me of all the things she could have had but maybe she didn't actually want me now, maybe she felt she owed me and that was it, I wouldn't blame her, but I love her, I love her more than anything, I want to see her so bad, she always knows what to say to me and how to comfort me, I miss her. We are also going back to new york soon and thankfully the news that I am apparently a Herondale hasn't gotten to far out yet and hopefully I'll be gone before it does, I don't want to see the stares or hear the whispers. And I'll be back to my room and my blades.

Alec: Dear diary, I write to you today with mixed feelings, of loss and gain, Max is gone and it's all my fault, I spent so much time trying to protect Jace and Izzy that I forgot Max needed protecting too, me and Magnus are a thing now I think, but I can't help but feel guilty because I shouldn't have something so great when I failed to protect my baby brother. Mom and Dad probably will hate me now and Izzy is too shocked and upset for anything honestly, she blames herself but it really isn't her fault. Jace ran off and if I lose him too I don't know if I'll be able to go on like I use to.

Somehow our gang is still alive, i have no idea why or how but we are, the pain and hurt and grief is still strong but we will have to carry on. Jace is a Herondale and honestly I don't know how to feel, but he must be so conflicted, I am giving him space cause I know that's what he needs right now. Izzy is hanging with Simon who got her to get out of her room and maybe there will be some friendship between them, me and Magnus are apparently going on a trip and it is what I need, I can't be around at the moment with everybody staring and grieving. And I think everyone needs some space right now, hopefully we'll all be able to get through it, hopefully me and Magnus will be together.

Magnus: Dear diary, there is much to say but no time for it, the Shadowhunters are at war, not surprised, Alec asked me why I never called him back in the middle of a fight, honestly this man, but also he kissed me in front of people in the accords hall which is all I needed him to do to tell me he is serious, although he has also lost so much and I can only hope for the strength he'll need to get through it, we are going to war but Biscuit has made a rune to unite Shadowhunters and Downworlders, honestly this girl is gonna surprise the Clave in many ways and cause so much chaos, I can't wait to see it.

We are all pretty much are alive, many were lost but we won the war, if you can call it a win. Me and Alec will be going on a trip, I hope maybe it will help him cope a little, Shadowhunters aren't known for grieving too long, but I think it would do good for them to grieve longer for their lost. Jace is a Herondale and now everything makes much more sense as to why he is the way he is, he has a journey ahead of him though and I can only imagine what he must be feeling, Isabelle I have much respect for and I hope she'll find the comfort she needs in the ones who care for her, Simon Lewis is a brave boy and deserves more credit than people give him, Biscuit is the bravest and I wish her well on her journey to becoming a Shadowhunter, although I don't think Jocelyn will be pleased. I am heading back to new york after the party tonight to deliver the news of Ragnor's death to Catarina and Raphael, and to catch up on some stuff before me and Alec leave, I still wonder if it is all over though.

Izzy: Dear diary, I don't know what to say, so much is lost and I don't know what to do, it's the first time in my life I have felt this lost, it's all my fault that Max is dead, I should have protected him, I never should have trusted that piece of trash Sebastian, if I could kill him I would and if I get the chance I will, Hodge is dead as well but honestly don't care. Simon came to see me and comforted me, he is the only one who didn't say that I need to be strong or that it will get better, he just held me and said it's gonna hurt for a while but your aren't alone, and that's all I needed. And Jace ran off, I wasn't gonna follow him cause I respected his decision but I can't let him die thinking there's something wrong with him or that Clary is his sister, he deserves to know.

Sebastian is dead and I am happy about that, many were lost but not my loved ones, I thank the angel for that, Jace is a Herondale and I don't know what he'll do but I won't let people take him, he's my brother, him and Clary can finally be together and I wish them happiness, if the two idiots would realize that they still want each other lol sometimes I wonder about my brothers, Alec is with Magnus now and all I can say is finally. I'll see where things with Simon goes and I actually kinda hope it goes somewhere, but I'll never say that out loud. I still blame myself for Max but I got to keep going, I know he'd want me to.

Simon: Dear diary, my prison friend turned out to be Hodge and he is dead now, idk how to feel, I almost burned tho, at least I was saved, that Sebastian killed Max and I feel terrible for the Lightwoods, Izzy is a wreck and I comforted her after everything, Clary and Jace aren't siblings and I am happy to hear that, it means they won't be suffering anymore and the angst will stop but Jace ran off and he may not come back so maybe it will be worse, Jocelyn is awake and idk what will happen when we get back but I don't think Clary plans to stop being a Shadowhunter, also speaking of my badass best friend, she made an alliance rune, and put the mark of cain on me she feels terrible about that last one but I asked her for a reason, it will all be okay.

Everything is okay, thank God, mostly everyone is alive and we can go back to somewhat normal life, tho I don't know how they expect the Lightwoods to, Jace is a Herondale and I guess that's basically a kinda Royal Shadowhunter family? Idk, Clary and Jace appear to be okay, they walked up to us holding hands and it seems they worked things out, I am happy for them. Things with Izzy may be going somewhere but also things with Maia are going somewhere, idk what to do but it may end terribly, Magnus and Alec are a thing now and that's good, I just want to get back to new york and out of here.

Sebastian: Dear diary, these dumbasses have no idea who I really am, father said they wouldn't but I thought maybe they were smarter, especially Jace, you were raised by father as well you pathetic boy, but I guess you fell in love which is exactly what father told you not to do, although he is punishing you for it and trying to get back control over by making you believe Clary is your sister and making you think you are a monster, I am enjoying the show, honestly maybe you'll end yourself that would be fun to watch, although I'd like to kill you myself, after all you were always father's favorite and I would love to see father's face when I kill you, I hope you know I will kill you if I can.

Well apparently I am dead.

Church: Dear Cat diary, the idiots all lived except the kid, I feel bad he had so much more life to live, the Herondale figured out he was a Herondale congratulations Dum dum, maybe his tragic love will end now that he knows, also Jem seriously I miss you and still want you to save me. Magnus and Alec are together now and it's about damn fucking time, Isabelle is gonna be Isabelle, I feel that Simon kid will be around more now, Clary will probably be a Shadowhunter now, so much fucking happened and honestly the Shadowhunters need to get their shit together. Valentine may be dead but the stuff he caused isn't, there is much to be rebuilt, I just hope the drama is over, I am getting to old for this shit. Jem again I miss you and you are the only other intelligent one, end my suffering please!, Also I want some tuna, I'm gonna go find that Herondale to get me some.
