Hello everybody!! My name is Gabriela. I'm a trans girl living on the border in TX. My 9-year anniversary being on HRT is tomorrow (4/22) and my 29th bday is the next day. (4/23 :D)

I'm broke all the time, I'm an out-of-work line cook who hasn't been able to find work since being burnt out from my fine dining job in January, despite looking high and low through my city, and my rent of $625 (thankfully) is coming up to be paid on the 1st of May. I've also got an outstanding gas bill of ~$200 needing to be paid by 4/26.

I'm asking for the funds of at least half the rent (~$315) + the gas bill if people are able to spare it, so an approximate goal is around $500!! If anymore is available, I will be using it to shore up the rest of the rent and utilities various small needs around the house.

Otherwise, I'd love to be able to get myself some nice groceries and whip myself up a fancy meal or get myself a small cake or something to celebrate both my tranniversary of almost 10 years and making it through nearly 30 years of being on this bitch of an earth.

My other ask is that if you can't find the funds to spare on me, please please please spread this, and if possible, please find a palestinian fundraiser, or a black blogger or creator on this platform who you can help.

Our dear friend Joss has been living in the USA for years, he has many ailments he has not been able to treat while living there.

He has suffered pay cuts, unsafe working conditions, he has no benefits and many other things he rather not disclose.

He has been struggling to reach out and ask for help but he finally reasoned he can't keep living like this and wants to come back to México.

He needs a bit of time to see if he can get out of the lease, figure what he needs to bring back and tell his roommates so they can find a new one or move to another place, and many other things he needs to deal with.

He has no clear money goal right now but he needs a lot of help for the move, flights and debts.

Traumatized in Ireland While my Family is Facing Death and Starvation in Gaza

I contemplate the happy faces of people around me here in Ireland and reminisce about the happy normal life my family and I had before the war. A life that turned into a distant memory for us and was replaced by an unending series of horrible nightmares.

Unlike my family in Gaza, people here have access to drinking water, all types of food, electricity, and a roof over their heads. Above all, they are safe, and I cannot help but wonder if they genuinely do appreciate these blessings in their lives enough.

People seem relaxed and laughing wholeheartedly around me in Ireland. I wish I could laugh too, but I am crushed way beyond recovery on the inside. I was evacuated by my Irish college after five months of living the horrors of war in Gaza. I hope you will never know what it feels like to live in constant fear and worry and be horrified by the most sickening and scary nightmares every single night while you are far away from your family in such circumstances.

When did my people in Gaza cease to be human beings worthy and deserving of a normal life? Has it become normal now for my family in Gaza to be starved and killed while the whole world is watching the genocide? If that is the case, then you will have to excuse me if I seek every avenue to bring them to Ireland and start a new normal life like all people here around me.

I was assured by the Irish Reugee Council (IRC) and lawyers in Ireland that there is hope I can reunite with my family in Ireland. In difficult times, it is hard to see the light at the end of the tunnel. For me and my family, you are literally our light and hope for a better life.
