This may be a weird thing to ask on Tumblr but I have anxiety and am currently waiting on friends of family to respond.

Is anyone on here well versed in legal things to do with custody of a child?

I think I know the basics but wasn't sure if anyone could give me more details.

Currently I have 100% custody of my daughter but her father (my now ex) is threatening to take me to court for custody of her.

It's insane to me how someone can treat you like absolute shit and abuse you for three years, and escalate the situation to you having no choice but to leave them, to then turn around and tell you that you're evil and not giving him time with his child even though he's the one who didn't show up to the park date for said child.

I have done nothing but try to compromise and handle this situation as gracefully as I possibly can. Inside I want to block him and never speak to him again, I don't want anything to do with him. But we have a kid so I'm trying to keep the peace for her. Even though I wish I didn't have to. I wish I didn't have to be the bigger person. I wish I didn't have to go through being triggered over and over again because I want my daughter to have her father in her life.
