Oh you don't know how excited this ask made me! This is one of my favourite AUs at the moment and I'm itching to show more of it, so it's great to know there's a mouth to feed! I have a little treat for you coming up. ;)

To answer the actual question: not really. The setting itself would be perfect for some thrilling, political drama, but tbh I'm not very good at that. This is mostly a framework to get the Striders to bone in entirely new ways and new fashions. I'm hesitant to choose a main timeline or such, since to me, the first time is the best time. Little brother's/sister's virginity is such a scarce resource... And sometimes I want them to have a blatant crush on their older siblings and sometimes not, whatever serves the scenario the best.

I'll give some new trivia here:

Since the AU is set into 1980's Japan, I've taken the liberty to rename everyone.

Lady Alpha Dave: Akane

Alpha Dave: Fujiro

Bro: Tetsuya

Sis: Hiromi

Dirkette: Fumiko

Dirk: Akira

Davette: Akemi

Dave: Junichi, but he's called just Jun

The above order is also the order of their ages, with Akane being the oldest and Jun the youngest. I haven't settled on a surname for them yet, which would be essential if they interact with anyone outside the family...

Their parents (bless their fertile souls) have been mysteriously murdered at some point years back, so Fujiro took his place as the head of the family, which he was already raised to do. If he were to die/get killed, Akane would be temporarily in charge and Tetsuya would eventually (reluctantly) take his brother's place. He's the family's captain at the moment and has his own underlings. Neither Akane nor Hiromi are directly in the yakuza group, but they hang around, take care of business and affect decisions anyway.

The incest is woven into their dynamics at an early age, Akane and Fujiro sought comfort from each other and started fucking in their teens. It's pretty much an open secret that they're together, since Akane never married nor dated and acts pretty much like a wife to her younger brother. It's just...not wise to accuse your boss of incest. <:'3 All the older Striders are uncomfortably close in various combinations, but leave the PDA behind closed doors. The younger Striders obviously think their siblings' closeness is normal and don't pay much mind to it. They've got their own complicated attractions within the family...

They live in a big, fancy mansion and have a select few servants around, who have their own lodgings within their property. Fujiro is a big fan of traditional culture, so the dress code comes from him. At home he expects everyone to wear kimono or at least a yukata while out and about, school uniforms tolerared. He also demands elegance and high class from his younger siblings. Akira and Fumiko are being trained in archery and kendo, while Jun and Akemi do ikebana, tea ceremony and learn to play shamisen and sing. None of this stops them from being youth criminals, but that's to be expected. They just better not get caught. :)

Well... He was taller... once. Not terribly, but enough.

Gold's recent height is caused by a slew of complications, most of which do involve his unnaturally long age and just general faulty body. Chip wasn't really... born in peak physicality. He was chronically weak and brittle, sometimes even sickly if he wasn't careful. Doctors even advised him against his life of tinkering, otherwise they worried he might work himself into an early grave.

It made Croissant fret over him almost constantly when she found out, to the point it made Chip bitter about not just the coddling- But the fact it came from someone who was everything he was told he couldn't be. Perfect health, perfect mechanic, perfect inventor that could spit out mountains of wonderful machines. Cookies singing her praises almost daily. Meanwhile, despite his own talent, he was relegated to fixing up broken clocks and managing finances. Only able to truly experiment when Croissant wasn't looking. And even then, he found himself struggling to get anything made... It was maddening! It was unfair... If only he could just... Fix himself.

Barbatos chuckles regretfully across the table at you.

"Indeed. Something I can never hope to undo."

He begins to reach over the table as if to take your hand, but he pauses just before his fingers can touch yours and withdraws, seemingly thinking better of it.

"A long time ago, before I came to serve the Young Master, I used to travel through the realms freely. Sometimes even through space and time. I never thought to think twice about the feelings of others I met along the way…nor in how my actions may or may not affect them."

Yes, his life back then — a life without consequences, or so he'd thought. Pop a portal here, twist a timeline there, and it was as though he'd never been there at all. Back then, it was nothing more to him than a trivial use of his power, and who was anyone to tell such a powerful demon not to do as he liked?

Well, you, for one. That's always been something charmingly strange about you — your willingness to throw yourself in harm's way and assert your opinion of how those as powerful as those demon brothers should act, even before you had made your pacts with them.

You tilt your head questioningly at him, waiting for him to continue, and he pulls back to himself, putting on a simple smile to reassure you.

"It was that mindset that led to me making a terrible mistake. One that…ended up having a great effect on the lives of Solomon and the Young Master."

He goes quiet again, remembering the moment he'd realized what he'd done — the desperate tremble in the young prince's voice, the lonely tears in his little eyes as he begged his one rare visitor to stay with him at the castle. He'd been too young to understand that Barbatos himself was the reason he lived that way.

If he were to find out now, of course, Barbatos fears how things would change. Diavolo is too just to allow Barbatos to assign himself this penitence forever, even if he did genuinely take joy in keeping himself by the royal's side. He didn't mind never using his powers without explicit instruction from his master; it had been his own suggestion. And was it so bad to chain himself, really, if he'd placed the shackles upon himself?

He'd tasted enough freedom to come to regret it.

"What kind of effect?" you prod, pulling him back to the present again with a tug on his hands, which he'd apparently placed over yours after all while lost in his thoughts.

He frowns and sits back abruptly. "I am not able to tell you the details of that yet," he snaps, immediately regretting how harsh the words come out. He tries again, more gently, "Forgive me for bringing it up. I didn't mean for the conversation to turn this way. It's rare for me to start talking about myself."

After all, it wouldn't do for the past to come back to haunt him. He'd gotten by this long without his secrets coming out; he didn't intend to start revealing them now.

But then, why had he confessed to you even this much?

"Perhaps a part of me just wanted you to understand a little more about myself."

You blush a little bit, bringing another careful smile to his face.

A part of him — just a small part, one he's suppressed for centuries now — thinks of how nice it would be to affect your feelings, your life. To leave some impression of his existence upon you.

Why else would he want you to understand him?

He feels the temptation to tell you on his tongue, in his teeth.

But, no. He'd decided to bury that old self — nailed the coffin shut on it, and wouldn't let it rise again. So that the consequences he'd always escaped wouldn't bury everything he cared about now.

That past must remain secret.

He won't go back to what he's always been.

i personally think it’s so funny how amongst all the people in doltown, the main two who are vying for vani’s heart and have reciprocation ( or a form of it ) is whitney and the fuckass doctor, harper.

like whitney is self explanatory, i’ve went into depths, details of their dynamic. meanwhile, vani just started bothering harper for simply blackmail & a way to get deeper in the cult besides just being reliant on avery. which, if i had a nickel for every time vani fell hard for what started as a bit, i’d have two nickels which isn’t a lot, but it’s weird it happened twice.

OKAY SO! (Long story under the cut XD)

I started off a LONG time ago with tracing paper, tracing and colouring in straight out of the books. (This was like three years ago btw.) Then I started drawing digital art VERY simply. Cartoony style, thick lines, no complexity, but I was always SO proud of myself when I finished them.

Then I started trying to replicate Joy Ang’s style: for about a year all of my stuff was awful. I was totally in free fall, and not quite self-aware enough to realise it. Thankfully I didn’t start posting anything at that point.

The first thing I wanted to draw seriously was a PMV. It was one about Lizard/Freedom to Shawn Mendes’s ‘Mercy’. Honestly, it took way longer than I expected, so I started drawing other stuff on the side.

At the time I was a MASSIVE canon stickler. The first thing I drew that was non canon-compliant was probably the SeaWing royal family. Coral with some pink scales. Albino Anemone. That sort of thing.

But I wanted to branch out when I joined Tumblr! Originally I also wanted to do YouTube content, and that IS actually still part of the long term plan once I get my shit together. I love this blog though. It’ll always be where I started being ScrollWyrm properly.

HEY I WAS GONNA SAY THAT IT WAS ALPHYS. bitchass photo... okay, well, you get the deal, welcome to the post, and prepare for all the lore that the canonfell wiki gives me (because for some reason, barely any lore is shown when checking AU info on Vic's blog)

So, let's begin. Before you ask, no, Alphys and Undyne aren't simply friends attracted to each other, they're dating already in Underfell. In fact, in every route (except genocide for OBVIOUS reasons), they get MARRIED, because, uh, idk, reasons. Apparently varies from route to route. Now, Alphys is NOT a good person. She isn't the nerd that helps you try and get to the castle, nonononono, she's more cruel (apparently). In fact, she's apparently as arrogant as King Asgore himself, and barely gives two shits about people who aren't her friend. (Note before I continue that undertale and the AUs suffer from what i like to call, "The Skele-lore Conundrum", where only the skeleton brothers have the most lore. So this will be pretty quick, I'm just writing this to make it bigger.) On the topic of this not giving a two shits thing and not at all helping frisk through the last part of the Underground, she FORCED Mettaton to like his robot body (plot-twist: HE DOESN'T LIKE IT) via code, and also has complete control over his lower arms (he has four arms by the way), using them in OFFICIAL art to force Mettaton to hunt down Frisk in one of the creepiest ways I've seen. also, according to the wiki, she actually loves undyne (NO SHIT!!!) She's also the one to get Papyrus and Undyne's old attire (though in case you didn't know, undyne wears combat boots). ...is. is that all? Really? C'mon, throw me a bone here. Oh, here's one last thing. She has a cute laugh(???) but it's rare for her to actually laugh. Wow. That's it. that was the most lackluster thing i've read since frisk's wiki page.

okay but the captain and kitty being bffs is so important to me and now im thinking about a world where, after the little garden skipping adventure, they go on walks around the grounds and talk and yeah cap is secretive but he's secretive in that dad way where if they have a captive audience they'll tell the craziest stories you've ever heard and kitty loves to just stand there and zone out looking at the clouds while cap rambles but the information does still seep in. so she knows all about havers and the letter and the mine and all sorts of cap stories no one has ever heard.

and one day cap is like really withdrawn, staring out the window at the garden and sighing and the rest of the ghosts dont know what to do because cap doesnt ever want their help, but then kitty goes over to console him and then she walks back over to the rest of them and theyre like what the fuck is up, is there anything we can do whats going on.

and she's like "oh, yeah, this is just the anniversary of william's death, you know, lieutenant havers? that man captain was in love with during the war who left him for the north africa front. it turns out havers loved him too, but was so afraid of getting caught he requested a transfer, and captain didnt know until william passed away. there was a letter addressed to the captain in his belongings when they got sent back to his sister, so it wasnt until she mailed it that the captain knew he felt the same way. so sad, isnt it, that they were right there, loving each other the whole time and couldnt do anything about it. for all those years. it's just tragic! but I'm not supposed to say anything about it because- oh goodness!" and she puts her hands over her mouth and everybody just. jaw dropped looks to the captain who looks Mortified.
