How do you think Velvet flirts with Coco?

I have my biased takes on what Coco and Velvet are like as characters, but to start off I wanna focus on what Vel brings to the table.

I think a lot of people have moe’d her down to a nervous/scaredy bunny girl and…that’s not her at all. She’s a real multilayered character who can and will kick your ass flat. She’s also…

- very very attentive to people

- excellent at memorizing things she sees and hears, and quickly at that

- very emotionally in tune with people, herself included

- insanely kind and helpful

- honest about her feelings and will voice her thoughts when ready

Also she’s a bunny like come on. Is baby. It’s impossible to not find her likable.

I can go on forever, but I think these are enough likable traits to work with.


Time to shift. Now we focus on what I think Coco likes in a person:

- Hot girls

- Complexity

- Someone true to their nature

- Some sense of honor

- Someone striving to learn and to better themselves

Hopefully it’s not lost here, but there’s some compatibility don’t you think? Velvet’s got some of those traits that Coco likes.

So where’s the flirting? It’s coming I swear, I just needed the background info to help support the answers.

Bun bun flirts two ways: intentionally and unintentionally. The latter is usually what’s happening most often.

Her intentional flirting is what you would expect. Some cheeky words, being a playful tease in her actions like when she flashed her camera in After the Fall. I think she would 1000% take advantage of her physique and incredibly vast skillsets. She is totally totally showing off during training and sparring. Coco might hide her gaze under her glasses but that dumb bitch is so easy. So so easy…

Now her unintentional flirting is basically that Velvet is just doing her thing. She’s comfortable and loved by her team. With them she’s able to be herself and have fun, and that’s what coco loves most. Seeing Velvet thrive and not feel like she has to hide herself away from the world, and with it comes moments and actions that make Coco, much to her surprise, fall for Velvet.

I guess simply put, Velvet flirts by being her cheeky self around Coco, and her leader falls for her every time.

A while ago I received a beautiful painting of Eishi in the mail from @kitsoa!! I've been meaning to post pictures of it but I so rarely have physical objects I wanted a proper photoshoot to do it justice <3

When I first saw this I was absolutely blown away by the colors. These magenta-maroon hues aren't ones I associate with urban cityscapes at all and yet it's beautiful and dreamlike. There are a lot of poignant moments of loneliness in this series and this piece really captures that feeling, in my opinion. I almost feel like crying when I look at it sometimes. Kitsoa just has a way with color I can never hope of coming close to; I often look at her artworks and think, "Ah, her brain's just wired in a fundamentally different way from mine." (NOT a lamentation btw-- I consider it a blessing that we are put on this earth to show each other pictures of that which the other could not conceive of)

I have it up on my wall with sticky tack (didn't want to put tape on the front in case it got damaged when I inevitably have to move away) and I look at it all the time. I love it so much!! Thank you!!

i don't remember how i stumbled across this interview but i've never seen anyone mention it so i'm dropping it here <3 it's a little dated but still like super valuable and a decently in depth look at higuchi-sensei's previous works and how she works and thinks as a mangaka... personally i think it's the most i've ever learned from an interview of hers. super interesting stuff :0)

I’ve complained about Stray Gods a lot but I will say that I dig most of the designs, I like that the Minotaur is kinda based on Disney’s Beauty and the Beast, there’s even a ballroom scene that seems based on the one in the movie

I NEED to talk about the stupid ass names that were given for the Miraculous Paris Special in English. Like ya know I can get behind Claw Noir, and Shadybug's not bad (I like Toxinelle more but that's a whole other thing) but then we have the cheesiest name for good Gabe with cussing Betterfly.

The idea of there being a hero version of Gabriel "The Idiotic Asshole" Agreste is already a living joke but then you tack on freakin Betterfly and I just- I'm sorry I can't even think about that without laughing my ass off, like it's just sooooooo dumb.

I know that the French version is Hesperia which (according to the wiki) is either a type of butterfly or could mean "to trust" but it's DEFINITELY more suitable than Betterfly.

But No Thing it sounds similar to Vesperia AND it sounds like a girl's name!!

Ya, ya, ya, I know. I'm not saying they should've gone with that but practically anything would've been better (hehe) than Betterfly.

The hum of his voice in soft melody makes Laerryn smile, makes her dip her face into his locks once again and take in the scent of something fae, something like rain, something so very alive.

Her kiss on the top of his head, her nails tracing the skin of his neck, her nose skimming against his earlobe. A kiss, a laugh.

She straightens again, focused like she always is.

It's a moment in time, her hands on his hair, his hand reaches for the side of her leg, the back of her thigh; he's humming again. Why would he want to be anyone else?
