If I started doing commissions (character/cosplay portraits only) would anyone be interested? Prices would probably be ~$40 for b&w and ~$75 for full color depending on complexity/background. I put some recent examples below.

I think he wouldn't tell him anything clearly because he doesn't know if Kevin knows this, and he won't be the one to talk about anyone's SA, but... Being Neil, and with all the times he has called Kevin a coward in the original trilogy I don't think he arrived at Palmetto very calmly. Especially not if Neil is playing the same role Andrew plays with Kevin, but with Jean.

I think that upon his arrival in Palmetto he would be quite furious. Andrew's presence would calm him down, but Neil would discuss the decision to send Jean to the Trojans and ask Kevin why the hell he couldn't eat his shit and insist that Jean stay with them. Kevin defends himself. Neil hits sensitive spots. He asks: "Did you know that when you left him there and ran away?" and Kevin loses his patience, because he will never be able to tolerate them talking about it without wanting to tear his skin off himself.

I think it would be interesting if Kevin shows up in California for the interview with the remains of a black eye. And when Jean asked, Kevin would say.

"You have quite a few friends, Jean, even if you don't believe it. There's a big-mouthed one on my team who will move heaven and earth to keep you safe."

Jean will be very upset and will later talk to Neil about how he doesn't need anyone to fight his battles for him, but he will also be disgruntled. He doesn't know why Josten is so involved in his recovery, but...

Bitch, he's Jean's lost forever partner. How would he not?

Regarding the whole labyrinth thing and how easily it is to navigate, no offense, but don't you think we are slightly undermining Daedalus' intelligence? Do you seriously believe that Daedalus, the masterful architecture, inventor and sculptor, would design a simple labyrinth with predictable twists that anyone could navigate and get out? No sir! He would add twists, turns, traps to make the task more difficult!

Don't worry, dear anon, in this house we only mock Theseus and Pirithous' intelligence. Not Daedalus'.

Ok more seriously, your argument is very interesting. There's no definite answer in the myth, but I have some personal interpretations.

Firstly, we could remember that Daedalus was forced or at LEAST commissioned by Minos, so it wasn't a passion project or anything. He maybe rushed it a bit to match the king's expectations. Kinda like an annoying homework that you want to get over with.

I feel that a passion project by Daedalus would be way more complex, full of traps, mind tricks and other intricacies.

Then, the main danger for the Athenians is the Minotaur, not the Labyrinth itself. The labyrinth is mainly a prison for Asterius 99% of the time and 1% just for 14 Athenians to fail in escaping just long enough to be eaten. So, it's exponentially easier to trap a man-eating beast with zero education than a normal citizen.

But I agree that after all these years, there must be twists, traps or at least barriers, otherwise even Asterius would have escaped and brought havoc on the royal palace. I'm thinking maybe some bars that are only opened when Asterius must eat Athenians. Afterwards it's closed and he's confined to a certain part of the labyrinth again .

If those traps were still active even while confronted to Asterius, there's no way in hell Theseus would be smart enough to dodge them 🤣. No sword and no thread can help you get out from it. Or maybe Poseidon granted him divine luck or something. Idk.

Maybe those traps were reactivated when Daedalus and Icarus were trapped and the exit sealed (especially after the Theseus incident), so they couldn't escape through the classical way.

Point is, if we think about the Labyrinth less as a maze and more as a prison, it makes more sense. Idk if you agree but it's what I've got from it.

sorry to keep advertising comms lol but my cat just got diagnosed with herpes (feline herpes is completely different than in humans, it's a chronic respiratory condition). it's not serious by itself, but shell likely have to take medicine periodically for the rest of her life to make sure her flare ups dont develop into something more dangerous. her having it also means that it's likely my other cat has it as well; she hasn't shown symptoms but there is a chance she will in the future.

Here is the finished version of my smaller & simplified Hierophant embroidery design! It measures 3.5 inches wide rather than 6.25 like my larger and more complex pattern, and I tried a different color palette for the background to bring it closer to the original card. It's still not perfect but I'm pretty happy with how it turned out!

This pattern takes a lot less time than the bigger one, so is more approachable. Both these patterns and my other designs will be available in my new etsy store as I finish writing out instructions and uploading them :)

This finished piece will also be for sale for anyone interested, and I am taking limited embroidery commissions for now.
